Listed below are recent incidents responded to by the Benton County Sheriff's Office. This report does not reflect all Sheriff's Office activities and is updated as time and personnel allow. Any arrest and complaint information included below is based on the legal conclusion that, as with any criminal case, a charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.

DUII; DWS FEL - On January 22, 2023, at 2:19 AM, I stopped Sara Meloling, 41, on NW Tyler Avenue near NW 23rd Street in Corvallis for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device, making an Improper Left Turn, and making an Un-signaled Lane Change. Meloling was Driving While Revoked Felony and arrested for DUII after deputies determined she was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Meloling refused a breath test under Implied Consent. Her breath sample was later seized with a valid search warrant. Additionally, Meloling was on Probation out of Benton County for Felony DUII.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On January 21, 2023 at around 5:53 pm, deputies were dispatched to Soap Creek road near milepost 4 for a single-vehicle injury crash. The driver was traveling north on Soap Creek Road when his 1997 gray BMW hit an embankment after entering a corner at speeds too fast for the condition. All occupants refused medical aid and the vehicle was towed.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 01/21/2023 at approximately 4:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W and Tampico Road for a single-vehicle crash with possible injuries. The driver was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with suspected minor injuries.
WARRANT ARREST - On January 21, 2021 at about 3:45 p.m., deputies stopped to check the welfare of a male in the 2500 block of NW 9th Street. Paul Aaron Bonnen, 33, had two confirmed Benton County Warrants for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. He was issued a citation and released.
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER; WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, January 21, 2023, deputies stopped a vehicle at 1st Avenue and Ellsworth Street for expired registration tags. Deputies arrested Nathan D. Brown, 47, for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, and for a warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Deputies cited him for driving while suspended and he was released with citations.
BURGLARY 1; THEFT 3 - On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at approximately 9:30 PM, Deputies contacted a resident about an attempted burglary in the 5500 block of NW Oak Creek Drive, Corvallis.  Jared Lee Crawford, 29, was later arrested for the crimes and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
THEFT 3 – On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at approximately 2:42 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 4000 block of NW Ridgecrest Avenue for a theft from a motor vehicle. A wallet was taken out of an unlocked car, and one of the credit cards was attempted to be used on Facebook.
THEFT 3 - On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at approximately 1:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of N 5th Street in Monroe for a shoplift.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at about 7:30 am, deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of NE Elliott Circle for a report of a vehicle crash. Deputies arrived and observed a white 2012 Toyota XB crashed into a mobile home. The driver said she was backing out of her driveway and her foot slipped off the brake and said she wasn`t able to hit the brake before crashing into the mobile home.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at approximately 7:08 am, deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of Commercial Street in Monroe for vandalism. The resident had his tires slashed the previous night by an unknown person. Deputies contacted the resident by phone and provided a case number.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Monday, January 16, 2023, at about 4:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a single-vehicle injury crash on Cecil Lane near Leisure Way in Alsea. The driver was traveling north on Cecil Lane when he lost control of his vehicle, went off the roadway, and rolled down the hillside into Benner Creek. The driver was injured in the crash and later transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center for treatment. The driver was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and did not appear impaired at the time of our interview.
THEFT 1; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Monday, January 16, 2023, at approximately 10:25 am, deputies were dispatched to the 5370 block of NW Highway 99W for a theft of a flatbed trailer that was stolen on the previous Saturday. He found the trailer at a house on Brumfield Lane. Jeramey P. Ortega, 37, was cited for Theft I and Trespass II.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On January 16, 2023, at about 10:34 a.m., deputies were dispatched to NW Highland Drive at NW Lewisburg Avenue to a single-vehicle traffic crash without injury. Driver 1 was traveling in a green 1999 Toyota 4-Runner towing a small black empty utility trailer east on NW Lewisburg Avenue when she attempted to turn right onto NW Highland Drive and crashed. The driver turned too late at the intersection to safely make the turn, which she said was because of the fog.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On 01/15/2023 at approximately 6:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Kings Valley Highway near Fort Hoskins Park for a report of a vehicle that was swerving and had left the roadway several times. Deputies later arrested the driver, Monica Coussens, 33, for Driving under the Influence of Intoxicants, Reckless Driving, and Reckless Endangering. Coussens had a 4 year old child with her at the time of the stop.
DUII - On January 15th, 2023 at around 2:30 AM, deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle unable to maintain its lane near NE HWY 20 and North Albany Rd. Deputies contacted the driver who was identified as Jaime Bran-Barrera, 24. Deputies determined Bran-Barrera had been drinking and based on SFST`s, making him unsafe to operate a vehicle. Bran-Barrera was subsequently arrested for DUII.
WARRANT ARREST – On January 15th, 2023 at around 12:26 AM, deputies made a traffic stop on a red Toyota Carolla bearing license plate 125NLB. The driver, Yasin Alamin Moussaoui, 25, had an active Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Failing to appear on a DUII. Moussaoui was issued a new criminal citation in lieu of custody and released a short time later
UUV - On January 14, 2023, at about 11:05 PM, deputies were dispatched to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 1600 block of Scenic Drive NW, in North Albany. Deputies spoke to the vehicle owner regarding his 2011 BMW 328i being stolen. The vehicle was located and returned to Christopher on January 16, 2023.
DUII - On January 14, 2023, at 2:30 AM, deputies stopped Ryan Dart, 37, in an alleyway near the Harrison Street Bar and Grill for Driving While Suspended Violation and No Front Plate. During the stop, deputies developed probable cause to arrest Dart for DUII. Dart refused the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was taken into custody. Dart was transported the Benton County Sheriff`s Office, where he refused to provide a breath sample. Dart`s breath sample was obtained at 3:48 AM with a valid Search Warrant. There was no reason to believe Dart was under the influence of anything other than alcohol. Dart was released from custody.
THEFT BY EXTORTION - On January 13, 2023, at around 4:06 pm, deputies were dispatched to contact a juvenile by phone regarding a cyber-crime. The juvenile reported that an unknown individual contacted him with explicit photos of the juvenile and demanded money or they would send the photos to the juvenile’s instagram friends. The number was traced to Nigeria and the juvenile blocked the individual and deleted his social media. No further information at this time.
WARRANT ARREST - On January 13, 2023 at around 4:45 pm, Deputies contacted Toni Jeanetta Athill, 34, on Bellfountain Road near milepost 5. Toni was later arrested, cited and released on three warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, January 13, 2023 at approximately 1:45 P.M., deputies stopped Alexandra Morales-Salinas, 38, on 4th Street near Van Buren Avenue after watching her use her cellphone while she was driving south on 4th Street. Deputies later learned that Alexandra`s driving status was Suspended Violation and she had warrants through Linn County Justice Court and Albany Municipal Court. Deputies cited Alexandra for DWS Violation, Using a Mobile Communications Device while Driving, Contempt through Albany Municipal Court, and Fail to Appear on a Criminal Citation through Linn County Justice Court. Alexandra was released with the citations and a friend of hers drove the vehicle from the scene.
BURGLARY 2 - On January 14th, 2023, deputies took a report of a burglary that occurred sometime that morning before 10:00 am. An air conditioner valued at $200 was taken from an exterior dwelling, and five pairs of shoes were taken from the front porch of the house. Jared Lee Crawford, 29, was later arrested for the crime.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, January 12, 2023, at about 6:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a suspicious person in the 26800 block of Highway 99W, Monroe. Deputies later arrested Evander Rusty Whitedirt, 28, on a misdemeanor Multnomah County Circuit Court warrant for Sex Abuse 3. Whitedirt was also cited for Criminal Trespass 2 and Giving False Information to a Police Officer. Whitedirt was cited in lieu of custody for his warrant and then given a courtesy ride.
BURGLARY 2; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; THEFT 2 - On Thursday, January 12, 2023, at approximately 3:30 PM, deputies spoke with a resident about someone burglarizing his barn in the 4300 block of NE Hwy 20, Corvallis in December 2022. He also stated there was someone currently trespassing and camping on his property. The resident stated he will post No Trespassing signs and provide video of the intruder in his barn.
THEFT 2 - On January 12, 2023, at around 2:23 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 26600 block of Gwillim Ln for a reported theft. A resident claimed a woman his ex-wife used to be friends with, had stolen his son’s phone after he invited her to clean his house. The iPhone`s GPS locater had been turned off.
THEFT 3 - On Thursday, January 12, 2023, at approximately 2:40 PM, deputies contacted a resident about a theft by a neighbor at 525 NW Monroe Avenue, Corvallis. The resident stated that after an argument the neighbor left his apartment and took his vape pen.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at approximately 3:10 PM, deputies responded to Kings Valley Highway MP25 for a single-vehicle crash. The driver was later interviewed and the vehicle was removed from the crash location.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER- On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at approximately 8:40 AM, deputies contacted a driver about a crash between her van and another vehicle at NW Hwy 99W and Granger Avenue, Corvallis. The driver stated the other vehicle drove away without exchanging information.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On Monday, January 9, 2023 at approximately 12:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to the area of 30700 Venell Lane, Corvallis, for a report of a non-injury vehicle crash.
POSS METH; DUII FELONY; DWS FEL - On January 9, 2023 at about 7:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a suspicious person in the area of Hoodview Circle and Arboretum Road. Deputies arrested Eric Anthony Johnson, 53, for DUII (Felony), DWS (Felony) and PCS- Methamphetamines (Over 2 grams). He was cited and released due to no vacancy at the jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On 1/07/23 at 2:56 pm, Trinidad, Jonathan, 27, came to the front door of the Benton County Jail to turn himself in on a warrant for FTA Animal Neglect 2. Trinidad was given a new court date and time and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On 1/7/23 at about 3:00 pm, Ragan, Nicholas, 32, came to the front door of the Benton County Jail to turn himself in for a warrant for FTA Animal Neglect 2, Animal abuse, He was given a new court date and time and released.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Friday, January 6, 2023, at about 12:55 am, deputies saw a silver Toyota Camry with a damaged right-rear tire sitting in a parking lot in the 2100 block of NE Highway 20, Corvallis. The driver, Angelo Edgardo Martinez, 23, told deputies he damaged his tire making a u-turn a short while earlier. Deputies later arrested Martinez for DUII and Reckless Driving. Martinez was cited and released.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; WARRANT ARREST - On January 8th, 2023 at around 7:57 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of Main Street, Philomath. Todd Strom, 56, had three warrants for his arrest. The first was a statewide felony parole board warrant. The second was a Florence Municipal Court warrant for Trespass II and disorderly Conduct II. The third was a Douglas County Circuit Court for FTA Criminal Mischief II, and Disorderly Conduct II. Strom was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1; CONTEMPT OF COURT - On January 2, 2023, at around 5:37 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of N 5th St, Monroe for a reported violation of an order. Bo Monroe, 21, was located a couple of days later and taken into custody for Contempt of Court and Criminal Mischief 2. Monroe was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - A WHITE SUBARU CROSSTREK WAS ATTEMPTING TO GET TURNED AROUND ON A DEAD END SIDE ROAD AT THE TOP/END OF GREEN PEAK ROAD. THE EMBANKMENT WAS SOFT AND WET, AND APPARENTLY COLLAPSED DUE TO THE WEIGHT OF THE CAR, CAUSING IT TO SLIDE DOWN INTO A TREE WHERE IT HAD TO BE TOWED OUT. THE CAR WAS NOT DRIVEABLE AND SHE WAS NOT INJURED. DEPUTIES GAVE HER AND HER DOG A COURTESY TRANSPORT TO WEST HILLS ROAD IN CORVALLIS.
HARASSMENT - On January 11, 2023, at around 4:49 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Jail for a report of Harassment. A jail deputy reported that on January 10, 2023, at around 8:10 pm, inmate Brian Berkey, 45, threw a cup of water on him when he was being given medication. Deputies spoke to Berkey who blamed the deputy. Deputies later issued Berkey a criminal citation for Harassment.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at approximately 2:15 PM, deputies contacted a resident about someone damaging her flower beds in the 5000 block of NE Elliott Circle, Corvallis in December. The resident stated she will call the Benton County Sheriff`s Office the next time the person returns.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at approximately 12:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Sheriff`s Parole and Probation Office to serve arrest warrants for Amathist Jamey Danyel Lahodny, 24. Lahodny was issued citations to appear for both Benton County Circuit Court and Albany Municipal Court.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at about 6:30 pm, deputies responded to Highway 99 near mile post 94 for a report of a non-injury vehicle crash. A BCSO Deputy was on duty driving a marked patrol vehicle when he was crashed into by silver Ford Fusion, rendering his patrol vehicle inoperable. Corvallis Police responded and conducted the crash investigation.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 - On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at approximately 10:50 AM, deputies contacted a resident about damage to his mailbox. The mailbox has been damaged and replaced three times in the past month. He stated he will replace his mailbox and move it closer to his residence.
WARRANT ARREST - On January 10, 2023, around 1:15 AM, deputies were patrolling Highway 20 near Independence Highway when they saw a 2003 Kia Sorrento turning to go northbound onto Independence Highway from Highway 20. Spencer Dean Borthwick was subsequently cited and released for his two warrants.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On Friday, January 6, 2023, at approximately 4:00 PM, deputies contacted a resident about a vehicle hitting her mailbox in the 24700 block of Ervin Road on January 4, 2023. The resident stated that she would replace the mailbox herself.
MAIL THEFT; FORGERY 1; CRIMINAL POSS FORG INST 1; IDENTITY THEFT; DUII; TAMPER W/ EVIDENCE; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE; FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER; FORGERY 2; CRIMINAL POSS FORG INST 2; CRIMINAL POSS OF FORGERY DEVICE; IDENTITY THEFT AGGRAVATED - On January 4, 2023, at around 2:27 am, deputies observed a gray 2015 GMC Terrain traveling at a high rate of speed south on Highway 99W, near NW Circle Blvd. Deputies initiated a pursuit after the GMC failed to yield and continued to drive at a high rate of speed through downtown Corvallis. The GMC later stopped and the driver, Clarence Williams, 48, was taken into custody. Williams had several statewide felony warrants from different jurisdictions. Williams was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER - On January 3, 2023, around 9:30 PM, deputies arrested Jerry Dale Hall Jr., 45, on a traffic stop at the intersection of Second Street, and Polk Avenue, Corvallis, for failing to register as a sex offender. Hall was cited and released.
LITTERING - On Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at approximately 1:00 PM, deputies contacted a resident about a trailer of garbage dumped on his property in the 6000 block of NW Gilmour Ln, Albany.
LITTERING - On January 4, 2023 at about 6:22 am, a Monroe resident reported finding eggs shells in his driveway and an egg carton in the middle of Shady Oak Dr. The resident believed his neighbor attempted to egg his residence. Deputies photographed the eggs shells in the driveway and located two additional whole eggs in the front yard. 
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On January 3rd, 2023, at approximately 4:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to a trespass in the 28900 block of Fish Hatchery Road in Alsea. When deputies arrived, a male was parked half on Fish Hatchery Road and half on private property. The male said he was unaware he was trespassing and agreed not to return to the property.
RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE - On January 10, 2023 at around 1:33 am, deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a primer gray 2003 BMW 330 at SW 4th St and SW Jefferson Ave for reckless driving. The vehicle began to elude and the pursuit was terminated shortly after for safety reasons. There is no suspect info at this time
BURGLARY 2; THEFT 1 FROM BUILDING - On Monday, January 9, 2023, at about 5:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a burglary at a barn on Rickard Road near E Ingram Island Road. The resident reported a trailer-mounted Rears Nifty 50 sprayer he owned was stolen from the barn along with several other items. The burglary occurred sometime between early December 2022, and January 3, 2023. There is no suspect information at this time.
THEFT 2 - On Sunday, January 8th, 2023, at about 11:49, deputies located a suspect vehicle that was involved in a theft in Monroe. During that investigation, deputies discovered a theft that had just occurred at a store in Corvallis. Anthony Owen, 33, was issued a citation for Theft II.
WARRANT ARREST; POSS METHAMPHETAMINE (VIOLATION) - On Sunday, January 9th, 2023, at about 12:11 a.m., deputies contacted Anthony Owen, 33, during a traffic stop at Harrison Blvd and 4th St, Corvallis. Owen had a confirmed warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for Theft III. He was issued a citation and released on scene.
THEFT 3 - On Sunday, January 8th, 2023, at 9:15 p.m., deputies responded to the 200 block of N 5th St, Monroe, for a theft complaint. Deputies later arrested Anthony Owen, 33, for stealing three bags of cans. He was issued a citation for the crime.
HARASSMENT; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On Sunday, January 8, 2023, at approximately 9:25 am, deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of NW 53rd Street in Corvallis for an assault. Matthew S. Anderson, 48, assaulted a man after being previously told to leave. Matthew was arrested for Harassment and Criminal Trespass I.
ASSAULT 4; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Saturday, January 7, 2023, at approximately 3:09 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 26300 block of Coon Road in Monroe for an assault. There were two families on the property physically fighting with each other. Misty L. Buell, 48, was arrested for Assault IV and Trespass II. She was cited and released.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On January 7th, 2023, at about 2:44 pm, Daniel Sherrill, 48, was arrested at North 13th and Pioneer Street in Philomath, for a Driving While Suspended warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court. Sherrill was criminally cited and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 01/06/2023 at approximately 6:20 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near milepost 38 for a single-vehicle non-injury crash. The driver had inadvertently drove her vehicle into a small drainage ditch. The driver wanted to leave the vehicle overnight and have it towed out in the morning.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, January 6, 2023, at approximately 1:17 pm, deputies contacted the occupants of a Toyota Avalon parked at Hyak Park at 5000 NW Highway 20. Gilberto Gasca, 34, was arrested on a confirmed Linn County warrant. He was cited and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY; WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, January 5, 2023, deputies responded to Hwy 99W and Airport Ave for a two vehicle crash. Samantha Denton, 32, was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center where she was cited for traffic violations and a misdemeanor warrant and the two vehicles were towed.
WARRANT ARREST - On January 3rd, 2023 at around 9:09 PM, deputies made a traffic stop on a speeding Volkswagen Atlas. The driver, Alicia Nielsen, 36, had three active warrants for her arrest. She was issued criminal citations in lieu of custody and given court dates and times to appear.
PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT; THEFT 1 - On January 3rd, 2023 at approximately 4:00 am, deputies located a wanted subject, Bernard Sierzega, 43, in the front passenger seat of a vehicle at Hyak Park. He was subsequently taken into custody and booked at the Benton County Jail on an active state-wide felony parole board warrant and pre-existing probable cause from a past case for theft in the first degree.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On January 2nd, 2023, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash that hit a deer on SW Reservoir Road about a quarter mile west of SW West Hills Rd in Benton County. Both driver and passenger had no injuries, but their vehicle was towed. The deer was deceased and off the road.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, January 1, 2023, at around 12:30 pm, deputies stopped Tyson Smith, 40, for a traffic violation near Timian and Dresden in Corvallis. Deputies issued him a citation for a warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court and a traffic citation for driving while suspended.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, December 31, 2022 at around noon, deputies stopped Bryan Oleman, 40, on Highway 20 near milepost 42 and cited and released him for a warrant issued out of Deschutes County.
WARRANT ARREST - On January 3rd, 2023, at 7:49 pm, at the intersection of NW Independence Highway and NW Ryals Ave Benton County, Lisa Magers, 42, was arrested for a Probation Violation warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court. Magers was criminally cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 30, 2022, at about 12:32 p.m., deputies stopped LONNY SMITH, 46, driving a silver 2001 Dodge pickup for speeding on NE Granger Avenue near NE Elliott Circle. SMITH did not have a legal reason to be driving while suspended (violation), driving without a IID present in the vehicle, or speeding (VBR) so deputies cited SMITH for those violations. Deputies also cited and released SMITH in the field with a court date for his confirmed Misdemeanor Warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for Disorderly Conduct II. The owner of the Dodge picked up SMITH, and made arrangements to get the Dodge.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Thursday, December 29, 2022, at about 7:00 pm, deputies stopped an orange Toyota Tacoma on N 20th Place near College Street in Philomath for repeatedly failing to drive in its lane. Deputies later arrested the driver, Scott Alan Shipman, 53, for DUII and Reckless Driving. Shipman was cited and released.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On Monday, December 26, 2022, at approximately 12:35 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 18800 block of Haines Road, Alsea for a report of an outbuilding which had been vandalized with spray paint. The resident reported that sometime between the end of October and this date someone sprayed pictures inside their outbuilding on the southwest corner of their property. There are no suspects or leads.
THEFT 3; FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Monday, December 26, 2022, at approximately 1:08 PM, deputies received a report of a theft from a vehicle at a hiking area parking lot in the area of Highway 99W and Blake Drive. Deputies contacted a female who reported her vehicle`s window being broken and multiple items taken. There are no suspects or leads.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER - On Saturday, December 24, 2022, at approximately 3:23 PM, deputies observed a grey Ford F150 turn west onto Van Buren Avenue from 6th Street, traveling the wrong direction on a one way road. Deputies stopped a male nearby who identified himself CARLOS PEREZ. After obtaining a Spanish translator deputies determined the male was actually SANTOS CALMO MATIAS, 25, and had given deputies the wrong name to avoid receiving a citation. Deputies issued CALMO MATIAS a criminal citation for False Information to a Peace Officer and a traffic citation for multiple violations.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, January 2, 2023, at about 2:50 pm, deputies were dispatched to Reservoir Avenue near 53rd Street for a single-vehicle crash. Deputies arrived and observed a blue 2006 Toyota Tacoma crashed off of the north side of Reservoir Avenue. The driver stated he was driving eastbound on Reservoir Avenue and lost control of his vehicle. The Toyota damage a tree after leaving the roadway. No injuries and no other vehicles were involved.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, January 2, 2023, at about 1:00 pm, Madison Nicole Crawford, 24, approached deputies on Jackson Avenue near 5th Street. Crawford stated she believed she had an active warrant for her arrest and wanted to turn herself in. Dispatch verified Crawford had 4 confirmed warrants. Deputies issued Crawford criminal citations for her warrants and released her.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, January 2, 2023, at approximately 1:03 pm, deputies were dispatched to the skate park at 190 SW B Avenue in Corvallis for a welfare check. A male was lying on the ground next to the bathrooms. Deputies arrested Michael K. Cantrell, 57, for a warrant after he was evaluated by medics and released with a citation.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, December 31, 2022, at approximately 2:56 pm, deputies stopped a vehicle at 3rd Street and Avery Avenue in Corvallis for having unapproved material covering the driver`s side window and not signaling a turn. The passenger, Seth A. Grace, 27, had a warrant. He was issued a citation.
DUII - On December 31, 2022, at 3:11 AM, deputies stopped Madeline Harvey, 22, on Harrison Boulevard near 5th Street in Corvallis for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device and later arrested Harvey for DUII after determining she was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Harvey`s vehicle was towed as a traffic hazard and she was later released to a sober person.
PAROLE VIOLATION - On December 30, 2022, at around 9:30 pm, deputies contacted Ariel Jantze, 25, at her residence in the 23900 block of Jamestown Ave, Monroe. Deputies later arrested Jantze for a Lane County Circuit Court warrant for Parole Violation. Jantze was transported to Lane County Jail where she was lodged.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 12/30/2022 at approximately 6:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Springhill Road near Milepost 2 for a two vehicle crash with injuries. The driver of a Honda Accord was taken to Albany General Hospital with minor injuries and the driver of a Chevy Pickup truck did not have any apparent injuries. Both vehicle were towed from the scene, no citations were issued.
DWS MIS; FAIL TO APPEAR ON CRIMINAL CITATION; FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT - On Friday, December 30, 2022, at approximately 3:22 pm, deputies were in the 1900 block of NE Four Acre Place in Corvallis when they saw a silver Jeep Cherokee began driving in circles in a muddy part of the parking lot, then began driving quickly away from them, northbound on an access road east of the parking lot. Deputies arrested Clifford A. Reyes, 58, on warrants and for driving while revoked.
DWS MIS - On December 29, 2022, at around 11:50 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a white 2000 Honda Civic near NW 2nd St and SW Monroe Ave and later arrested James Lillard, 34, for Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor. Lillard was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody as well as traffic citations for Driving Uninsured, Unlawful Turn, and Failure To Drive Within Lane.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On December 29, 2022, around 2:30 AM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident regarding trespassing on his property in the 17800 block of Highway 34, Alsea. The resident reported a male known to him knocked on his door around 2:00 AM and had an ax, with his face painted black, and told him there was a cougar in the area. The resident said he was tired of the behavior and did not want the male on his property again. Deputies advised the resident of the stalking order process, and how to go about getting a stalking order.
HARASSMENT - On December 28, 2022, at around 10:08 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 3900 block of SW Brooklane Dr for a physical fight between a father and adult son. Deputies later determined no serious physical alteration had occurred. Both men were warned about their behavior, and the son agreed to stay the night at his sister`s house.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at about 9:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to Bellfountain Park in the 24800 block of Park Road, Monroe, to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle. On arrival, deputies found a male and female watching videos in a Toyota Avalon. Deputies told the two the park was closed after dark and they left.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On December 28, 2022 at approximately 3:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of S 1st Street, Alsea for a trespass and altercation in the driveway of a residence. All parties had separated prior to their arrival. The trespassers were told not use the driveway at the residence.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 27th, 2022, at approximately 7:49 pm, Jevon Smith, 32, was arrested in the 1300 block of College Street in Philomath. Smith had a warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for Escape in the Third Degree. Smith was lodged in the Benton County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, December 26, 2022, at approximately 11:10 am, deputies stopped Matthew Wickham, 38, for a traffic violation on Elliott Circle. Deputies confirmed a Marion County Warrant for his arrest then cited and released him.
DUII - On December 26th, 2022, at approximately 1:25 am, deputies stopped a 1999 black E32 Mercedes on Harrison Blvd near 6th street after it failed to maintain lane and made an unlawful lane change. Deputies later arrested the driver, Change Ching Hsia, 29, for DUII. Hsia was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, December 25, 2022, at approximately 11:40 am, deputies arrived at the Monroe High School at 365 N 5th Street in Monroe to locate a subject for a welfare check. Deputies saw Kayla F. Brooks, 27, walking across 5th Street from the high school. Deputies arrested Kayla on a warrant and released her with a citation.
DUII; DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - SUMMARY: On Thursday, December 22, 2022 at approximately 7:30 P.M., deputies were in route to a crash investigation for a possible DUII on Highway 99W near Dawson Road, when they heard another deputy state over the radio that his patrol car had been hit and he believed the driver may also be impaired. Deputies later arrested Jose Luis Brambila, 31, for DUII, DWS Misdemeanor, and 5 Benton County Warrants. Brambila was cited and released to a family member. Oregon State Police investigated the traffic crash.
THEFT 1 FROM BUILDING - On December 22, 2022 at about 9:22 am, deputies spoke with a resident by phone who reported an unknown suspect entered an unlocked storage shed on his property and stole two Stihl chainsaws valued at $1200. The resident explained the theft occurred sometime between 12/17/22 at noon and 12/20/22 at 5:00 pm.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 12, 2022 at around 5:07 pm, deputies were dispatched to a complaint in the 5200 block of NE Laurel Dr, and arrested Jeffrey Armstrong, 58, who was cited on a warrant.
MAIL THEFT - On Monday, December 12, 2022 at approximately 3:00 pm, deputies were flagged down by a resident on Garrett Lane just off Highway 20, Philomath. The resident reported his mailbox was pried open, breaking the lock mechanism. The same occurred to the adjacent mailbox.
IDENTITY THEFT - On December 5, 2022 at about 10:30 am, deputies spoke to a resident of the 6400 block of NW Kestrel Hill Lane who reported an online attempt to use her credit card. No money was lost and the suspect information leads to a person in Washington. The information was forwarded to Belllingham PD.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On November 27, 2022 at around 5:48 pm, deputies were dispatched to the end of NE Lancaster St for three juveniles spraying fire extinguishers at each other. Deputies called their parents and they were all picked up.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On December 27, 2022, at around 4:34 pm, deputies were dispatched to the LEC Lobby for follow up where they met with a male who claimed that several weeks or days ago he found an explosive device in a creek behind his old house, located on NE Granger Ave that had been placed there by the unknown person stalking him. Deputies examined the device that was in his backpack and determined it was a rusty tin fuel canister that connects to tiki torches.
FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD - On December 29, 2022 at about 1:09 pm, deputies spoke with a resident who reported a suspect used her debit card info to purchase five $155 gift cards online from Nordstrom`s on 12-19-22. The resident received an email from her bank on 12-20-2022 notifying her the account had been locked due to the suspicious behavior. The bank was able to successfully cancel the transactions. Deputies recommended she run a credit check for further suspicious behavior.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 29, 2022, at around 2:33 am, deputies contacted a white 2002 Ford Ranger at the Chevron located at North Albany Rd and NW Hickory St. Deputies later issued passenger Monique Bishop, 31, a criminal citation in lieu of custody for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Theft 2.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 28, 2022, at around 11:45 pm, deputies contacted Robert Edbloom, 32, at a pull-out, located along NE Circle Blvd, near NE Walnut Blvd and later arrested Edbloom for Benton County Circuit Court warrants for Failure To Appear - Robbery 3, and (2X) Failure To Appear - Theft 2, and a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for Failure To Appear - Theft 2. Edbloom was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 12/2/22 AT APPROXIMATELY 11:45 AM, JAIL DEPUITES CITED JERIS JOAN WALL, 44, ON A WARRANT OUT OF ALBANY MUNI FOR CONTEMPT.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at approximately 11:12 AM, deputies took a report of a hit and run vehicle crash which occurred sometime between approximately 8:00 AM December 23, 2022, and 11:00 AM December 24, 2022 at the intersection of Granger Avenue and Pettibone Drive. A driver left his 2017 Gray Infiniti Q50 at that location due to icy road conditions. When he returned the following morning he found the rear driver-side and rear passenger-side of his vehicle had been damaged. There is no suspect info.
IDENTITY THEFT SINGLE - On Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at approximately 10:55 AM, deputies were dispatched to contact a female regarding a fraudulent account opened in her name. Deputies interviewed her regarding the details of the opened account and advised her to follow up with an identity theft protection service.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On December 23, 2022, at approximately 8:50 AM, a driver was traveling east in a 2020 Dodge Ram 5500 Utility Boom Truck in the area of Springhill Drive and Buena Vista Road. The road conditions were ice covered and as the driver negotiated a right hand curve at approximately 15 MPH his vehicle slowly slid to the right side of the road, rolling onto its right side on top of a 2016 Jeep Wrangler which had previously slid off in the same area and was unoccupied.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at about 12:15 am, deputies arrested Darren David Perreard, 52, on Western Boulevard near 4th Street on two misdemeanor Corvallis Municipal Court warrants. Perreard was cited in lieu of custody and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at about 4:40 pm, deputies arrested Steven Lloyd Skaggs, 49, at 180 NW 5th Street, Corvallis, on a misdemeanor Benton County Circuit Court warrant. Skaggs was cited in lieu of custody and released.
VEHICLE RECOVERED FOR OTHER AGENCY - On December 18th, 2022, at about 12:46 pm, deputies stopped a green Jeep at 5th Street and Commercial Street in Monroe for having plastic covering the driver’s side window. The Jeep was reported stolen out of Eugene. The driver was the owner self-recovered the vehicle the night before. The driver and passenger were released.
STRANGULATION; ASSAULT 4 - On December 12th, 2022 at around 3:34PM, deputies responded to the 4100 block of NE Fair Acre Drive for a report of an assault. Upon arrival deputies determined Ari Gonzales, 18, had spontaneously attacked another male. Ari punched the other male numerous times causing injury to his torso and face and attempted to choke him unconscious. Ari was subsequently arrested and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On December 25, 2022 at around 5:56 pm, deputies were dispatched to a non-injury crash at SW Reservoir Ave and SW 53rd St. Driver 1 was stopped at a red light on SW Reservoir Ave when driver 2 failed to negotiate a right hand turn from SW 53rd St, coming into the oncoming lane of travel, and striking driver 1’s vehicle. Both vehicles drove away under their own power. No injuries reported.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 25th, 2022 at around 3:50 PM, deputies observed a male walking across 3rd Street eastbound near B Street by the Corvallis Skate Park when they recognized a male, Jacob Paul James, 29. James had a Philomath Municipal Warrant for FTC- Theft in the third degree. James was contacted at the skate park and subsequently issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody on his warrant.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, December 23, 2022, at approximately 2:10 PM, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash in the 4100 block of NE Highway 20, Corvallis. The driver was uninjured and transported to his place of employment in Corvallis.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On Friday, December 23, 2022, at approximately 10:46 am, deputies were dispatched to a hit and run at Conifer Boulevard and Conser Street in Corvallis. Deputies contacted the victim by phone, who said his vehicle had been parked on the side of the road since the previous night due to ice, and another vehicle hit it sometime this morning, then left the area.
DUII - On 12/22/2022 at approximately 7:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W near Dawson Road for a single-vehicle non-injury crash. Deputies contacted Jackson Gibbs, 47, who was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On December 23, 2022, at around 5:59 pm, deputies were dispatched to SW Plymouth Dr for a reported motor vehicle crash. Deputies arrived and found a silver 2001 Toyota Corolla on its side in the ditch. The driver said she was driving east on Plymouth Dr when she lost control on the icy roads and crashed. No injuries.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 12/22/2022 at approximately 5:20 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W near Dawson Road for a single-vehicle crash. No one was injured; however, there was damage to a nearby fence. The driver and property owner exchanged information.
THEFT 2 - On December 22, 2022 at about 1:29 pm, deputies spoke with a resident by phone. The resident reported a theft of an amazon package delivered on November 21, 2022 to his residence in the 4300 block of NE HWY 20. The package contained a Sony sound bar valued at $398. The resident did not have a serial number or suspect info and explained Amazon requested a police report number on his claim form.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 22, 2022, Angela Filip, 25, was transported from LINN co jail for multiple FTAs. Filip was held in custody on her FTA`s for arraignment.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - SUMMARY: On Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at approximately 5:50 P.M., driver 1 was east bound on Highway 20 near milepost 7 in a black Toyota Sedan. Driver 2 was behind her in slow moving traffic in a white Hyundai sedan. Driver 1 decided to make a u-turn to drive west bound around traffic. Driver 1 turned into the west bound lane and was struck by driver 3 Randall in a minivan. The passenger in the minivan, was transported to Albany General with significant injuries.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at about 5:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near Granger for a vehicle crash. The driver crashed her 2021 Ford Explorer into the rear of a 1995 Jeep Wrangler. Both vehicles were east bound on Highway 20 at the time of the crash. Both parties reported soreness but no serious injuries. Deputies provided the driver and her passenger a courtesy ride home.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at approximately 12:55 PM, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Highway 20 near Rondo Street. The driver suffered a medical event while driving from Corvallis to Albany and passed out before veering off the shoulder and colliding with a utility pole.
FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On December 20, 2022, at around 9:45 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black 2005 Volkswagon Jetta in the14600 block of Independence Highway and later arrested Connor Pearsall, 18, for Fail To Carry And Present a driver’s license.
DUII - On December 20th, 2022, at approximately 7:11 pm, deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 34, approximately a half mile west of milepost 43 in Benton County. At the scene, deputies saw a blue 1989 Chevrolet Suburban on the south side of Highway 34 off the roadway, approximately 20 feet. Deputies found the driver, Martin Colgan, 61, walking eastbound On Highway 34 at about milepost 42. Deputies determined Colgan was impaired and arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. Colgan was cited and released from the Philomath Police Department.
BURGLARY 2; THEFT 2; THEFT 2; FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD - On Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at approximately 11:30 AM, deputies were dispatched a theft from a motor vehicle at a residence off NW Springhill Drive, Albany, Oregon. The person who reported the incident provided an inventory and description of the stolen items.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 17, 2022 at around 9:10 pm, I contacted Crystal Mayo Palomo, 30, in the parking lot of 1786 NW 9th St. Palomo was later cited and released for a Sherman County Circuit Court warrant for probation violation.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 17th, 2022, at approximately 8:30 pm, Curtis Dorman, 20, was arrested at 415 NW 3rd street in Corvallis in Benton County. Dorman had a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor. Dorman was cited in lieu of custody.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On December 17th, 2022, at approximately 7:19 pm, on Crescent Valley Drive, approximately a quarter mile east of Highland Drive, deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash. Medics evaluated the driver, who was a little shaken but was uninjured. The driver declined to be transported to the hospital and said they would take care of the tow the next day. Deputies gave the driver a courtesy ride to a friend`s house.
BURGLARY 2 - On 12/17/2022 at approximately 5:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 4000 block of NE Fair Acres Drive for a report of a suspicious person. At the residence, deputies spoke with a resident who said someone had forcibly entered their house looking for their father. The unknown male eventually left the residence on foot. Deputies were unable to locate the unknown male.
WARRANT ARREST - ON DECEMBER 15, 2022, DUSTY RISLAND, 35, WAS ARRESTED AT THE JAIL ON A WARRANT FOR FTA - CONTEMPT X2. RISLAND WAS CITED AND RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Wednesday, December 15, 2022, at about 12:50 am, deputies stopped a black Toyota sedan for driving 45 MPH in a 35 MPH zone on SW 3rd Street near SE Alexander Avenue and later arrested the driver, Zachary Adam Glowinski, 22, for DUII and Reckless Driving. Glowinski was cited and released.
VIOL RESTRAINING ORDER - On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at about 5:40 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 22400 block of Wells Creek Road, Philomath, to investigate a reported violation of a restraining order and later arrested David Lewis Barker, 53, for six separate violations of an active restraining order. Barker was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wed., Dec. 14, 2022 at approximately 12:55 pm, Malone, Sarah Ann, 38, turned herself in at the Benton County Jail and indicated that she had an outstanding warrant for having failed to appear at court. A valid Corvallis Municipal Court Warrant was confirmed for: FTA - Violent Conduct, Bail $5,000. Malone was released from jail after having signed a release agreement to appear at the Corvallis Municipal Court.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 12/7/22 JOLLEY, ADAM, 20, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF JAIL LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH ST ON A WARRANT FOR FTA ASSAULT 3. JOLLEY WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE.
WARRANT ARREST - On 12/06/2022 @ approx 9:15 am, Patricia T. Compton, 42, reported to the Benton County Jail for a FTA Albany Muni warrant for Crim Tresp II. Compton was released with a release agreement and new court date.
THEFT 1 AGGRAVATED - On December 4th, 2022, at approximately 1:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 7100 block of NE Arnold Ave to investigate a theft. An unfinished mini jet boat and trailer were stolen on December 3rd, 2022, at approximately 7:45 am. The boat is valued at $15,000. The trailer was valued at $3,000.
CRIMINAL POSS FORG INST 2 - ON 12/3/2022 at around 12:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Adair area to locate a suspect that used a counterfeit $20.00 bill at a business. The owner saw the suspect in a vehicle. Deputies contacted the suspect and learned they got the bill the night before out of an ATM in Monmouth. The suspect went back to Good Grounds and used his Debit card to pay for what he got earlier.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 11/30/22, DEPUTIES CITED JAMES, JACOB, 29, ON A WARRANT OUT OF PHILOMATH MUNI FOR FTC THEFT 3. JAMES WAS CITED AND RELEASED FROM THE JAIL WITH A NEW COURT DATE.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, December 16, 2022, at about 1:25 am, deputies arrested Kevin Lee Blevins, 57, at Takena Landing, Albany, on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Contempt of Court. Blevins was cited with a new court date and released.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On December 15, 2022 at about 11:45 am, deputies met with a female at the Sheriff`s Office. The female reported a theft that occurred at Peavy Arboretum on December 14, 2022 between 11:45 am and 12:45 pm. She reported she left her vehicle unlocked and an unknown suspect stole her white iPhone 11 from inside.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On 12/15/2022 at approximately 5:00 am, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Jail for a Disorderly Conduct near the sally port. Anna House, 38, was taken into custody and lodged at the jail.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at about 9:05 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a possible crash on Highway 99. Deputies found a white Nissan Sentra crashed on the west side of HWY 99 near MP 95 and later arrested the driver, Kyle Robert Smith, 28, for DUII. Smith was cited and released.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On December 10, 2022 at about 11:37 am, deputies were dispatched to the 3100 block of NW Countryman Cir and contacted homeowners, who believed the previous homeowners had been trespassing on the property. Deputies later issued Claudia Mark, 63, a citation for Criminal Trespass I.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On December 1, 2022, deputies responded to an injury crash on Tampico Rd at about MP 1. Deputies later contacted the driver at the Corvallis Good Samaritan Hospital. The driver reported she had been traveling east on Tampico Road with her two small children when she lost control and rolled the vehicle due to ice. The children were transported by family members.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 18, 2022 at around 12:19 am, deputies arrested, cited and released Christopher James Kosack, 46, for multiple confirmed warrants in the 400 block of NW 2nd St.
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER - On December 16, 2022, at around 10:51 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a white 2001 Toyota Prius near Ellsworth St SW and 2nd Ave SW, Albany and later arrested the driver Nathan Brown, 47, for Failing To Report As A Sex Offender. Brown was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On December 16, 2022 at about 3:25 pm, deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle traffic crash on Camp Adair Rd near MP 1. The driver of unit 1 explained he was driving eastbound on Camp Adair Rd. The driver stated he activated his left turn signal, showing intent to turn into the parking lot for the EE Wilson fishing pond. Before he could execute the turn, a pickup truck following behind him passed on his left. The driver performed a left turn into the parking lot, a second vehicle attempting to pass on the left, ran into the back of his vehicle causing him to spin out. The driver struck an EE Wilson sign breaking the wooden 6x6 post. Deputies contacted the driver of the second vehicle, who stated he was eastbound behind unit 1 and he saw a pickup truck pass unit 1 so he also attempted to pass. The driver of unit 2 stated he did not see the turn signal and crashed into unit 1 while he turned left in front of him.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On December 16, 2022 at around 3:46 pm, deputies were dispatched to Parole and Probation to trespass Karl Salke, 64. Salke was trespassed and told if he returned he would be arrested.
RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE - On December 11th, 2022, at about 10:00 am, deputies responded to the area of Applegate and 7th St in Philomath for a report of a silver sedan that eluded OSP. Deputies found the vehicle driving at a high rate of speed and passing unsafely. Deputies pursued the vehicle eastbound and discontinued at the Hwy 34 Bypass due to safety concerns and losing sight of the vehicle. Linn County and OSP later took the driver, Todd Wesley Ramsey, 47, into custody. Deputies cited him at the Lane County Jail for Elude, Reckless Driving, Speeding 100+, Fail to Drive Within Lane, and Fail to Obey a Traffic Control Device.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST; WARRANT ARREST; WARRANT ARREST - On December 11th, 2022, at about 9:20 am, deputies stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of 350 NW 4th St. The occupants, Nicholas Ragan, 32, Jonathan Ramos-Trinidad, 27, and Robert Stensland, 36, all had warrants. All three were cited for their warrants, additional charges, and released. The driver was cited for driving while suspended.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 10th, 2022, at approximately 9:30 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a blue Lincoln Aviator at the intersection of North Albany road and NW Hickory Street in Albany. The registered owner Trinity Mendez, 37, had a confirmed warrant for Contempt of Court out of Albany Municipal Court. Mendez was cited in lieu of custody.
DUII - On Saturday, December 10, 2022 at approximately 7:05 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of 5th Street and Commercial Street, Monroe, for a motorcycle crash. Deputies were told the driver had pushed the motorcycle away from the scene prior to their arrival. Deputies later arrested Ryan Douglas Merckling, 26, for DUII Drugs, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and Theft I by Deception.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 10th, 2022 at about 10:05 am, deputies were stopped on 5th Street near Main Street in Monroe. Deputies noticed a white Chevy Tahoe north bound on 5th Street. As the vehicle went passed, deputies looked at the driver and noticed she was not wearing her seat belt. Deputies pulled out and stopped the driver for failing to use her seat belt. Dispatch advised that the driver, Ligia Elene Anderson, 36, was DWS-violation and had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Junction City PD. Deputies issued Anderson a citation with a new court date. She was cited for DWS-violation, driving uninsured, and warned for failing to use her seatbelt. She was then released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, December 19, 2022, at about 6:30 pm, deputies arrested Katy Linn Steng, 32, in the 25000 block of Kyle Road, Monroe, on a misdemeanor Benton County Circuit Court Warrant for DUII and Reckless Driving. Steng was cited in lieu of custody and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 12/18/2022 at approximately 5:50 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Powder House Road near Fern Road for a single vehicle accident. The driver lost control of his vehicle due to extensive ice on the roadway. The driver was not injured and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 17th, 2022 at about 1:18 pm, deputies stopped Tina Gonzales, 57, for failing to use her seatbelt. Dispatch advised that Gonzales had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Benton County for DUII, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering, Fail to Perform Duties of a Driver and Criminal Mischief II. This was a cite warrant, no bail. Gonzales was re-cited and released to appear.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, December 14th, 2022, at about 12:18 a.m., deputies stopped Dustin Whinnery, 35, near the intersection of Harrison Blvd and Circle Blvd in Corvallis. Dustin was issued citations for his confirmed Albany Municipal Court Warrant, and for a new charge of DWS-Misdemeanor.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, December 5, 2022 at approximately 1:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 20 and mile post 47, Philomath, regarding a male on the shoulder of the road in a blanket. Gary Runte, 53, was cited and released on a confirmed warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 13th, 2022, at approximately 7:50 pm, at the intersection of NW Satinwood and NW Sundance Circle, Josselyn Jack, 31, was arrested for one Albany Municipal Warrant and three Benton County warrants. Jack was cited in Lieu of custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at about 3:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to complete a warrant service in the Parole and Probation Office of the Benton County Sheriff`s Office at 180 NW 5th Street, Corvallis, and later arrested Juan Carlos Blancas-Herrera on a Washington County Circuit Court warrant. Blancas-Herrera, 28, was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
MAIL THEFT - On 12/13/2022, at approximately 9:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of SW 53rd Street and Plymouth Drive for some mail that was on the side of the road. The mail was recovered and returned to its owners.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, December 13th, 2022, at 12:21 a.m., deputies contacted Zacharriah Olsen, 29, during a traffic stop on Hwy 99W near MP 104. Olsen had a confirmed warrant for his arrest out of Lebanon Municipal Court for Probation Violation. Olsen was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - ON DECEMBER 10, 2022, UNIT 1 WAS SOUTHBOUND ON HIGHWAY 223 AND STRUCK a DOWNED TREE. NO INJURIES. COUNTY ROAD SIGN POST DAMAGED/COUNTY NOTIFIED. DRIVER ARRANGED FOR TOW OUT OF DITCH. POSSIBLE UNDERCAR DAMAGE.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Friday, December 9th, 2022, at about 12:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to a report of suspicious activity in the 37300 block of Kings Valley Hwy. Deputies spoke with a resident by phone, who reported yesterday he confronted two men in a red Mazda pickup on his property.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On December 4th, 2022, at approximately 3:30 pm, deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 20, milepost 49. This was a single-vehicle crash into a guardrail with minor injuries. The crash caused four to five thousand dollars in damages to the guardrail. The car was towed, no citations issued.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On November 27, 2022 at about 11:53 am, deputies were dispatched to Oak Grove Elementary School for a report of graffiti. An unknown suspect spray-painted "shack" on a utility box on the east side of the school. There is no suspect info or date and time of the incident.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 8, 2022, at around 12:20 am, deputies initiated a stop on a gray 2008 Chevrolet Malibu near NW Harrison Blvd and NW 3rd St. They later arrested Alaura Baldwin, 32, for a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Fail to Appear-Theft 2, an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Theft 3, and a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for Probation Violation-False Info. Baldwin was issued criminal citations in lieu of custody for the warrants.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at about 6:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to assist with a single-vehicle, non-injury crash on Springhill Drive near Picadilly Circle. The driver was traveling west on Springhill Drive at about 40 MPH when he hit a deer in the road near NW Beaumont Lane with his 2022 Ford F150. The driver was not injured in the crash and he was able to drive his vehicle away from the scene.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On December 7, 2022 at about 8:42 am, deputies were dispatched to the 5600 block of NW Metge Ave. A resident reported an unknown subject damaged his $65 mailbox. He explained this was the second mailbox damaged in the last three days. No evidence as to how the mailbox had become damaged was left behind. The resident believed it was either damaged by kids or large machinery turning into his driveway.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 6, 2022, at around 10:14 pm, deputies contacted Amber Alvarado, 37, inside a gas station, located in North Albany and issued Alvarado a criminal citation in lieu of custody for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Theft 2.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On December 5, 2022 at around 7:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to Hwy 99 near milepost 101 for a reported single-vehicle non-injury crash. The driver, for an unknown reason, went off the east side of the road while traveling south in his silver 1999 Honda CRV. He hit an ODOT speed warning sign, then crashed through a fence and stopped in the field. He was not injured. A tow company later arrived and towed the vehicle to their tow yard. The driver was cited for driving while suspended-violation.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On December 5, 2022 at about 1:30 PM, deputies spoke with a resident in the 800 block of Commercial Street in Monroe who reported his tires were slashed the previous night causing $600 in damages.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 5, 2022 at about 10:00 AM, deputies responded to the 5000 block of NE Elliot Circle for the report of an assault. During the course of the investigation, deputies learned Barbara Hoffman, 63, had a warrant for her arrest. Hoffman was issued a citation with a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, December 3, 2022 at about 9:38 A.M., deputies observed a gray Honda Civic turn onto Grange Hall Road, from Fern Road, in Benton County Oregon. As the vehicle turned I noticed it had a light colored front driver quarter panel, and did not have a rear license plate or temp sticker in the window. Deputies recognized this vehicle as the same vehicle Jared Lee Crawford, 29, was located in on November 23, 2022. The driver identified himself as Jared Lee Crawford via his Oregon Driver`s license. Jared was arrested for a confirmed warrant out of Benton County. Jared was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On December 1st, 2022 at about 7:59 am, deputies were dispatched to a crash located in the 4800 block of NW Springhill Drive. Deputies responded and made contact with the driver of the black Chevy pickup truck. The driver said he was traveling northbound on Springhill Drive when he slid on the icy road, left the roadway and bumped a power pole. The driver called for someone to come help him get the truck out. The front bumper ended up resting next to the power pole and bumped the guy wire. The guy wire or the pole did not appear to have any damage. PP&L were advised and responded. The driver was not injured.
THEFT 3; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On November 20, 2022 at about 7:05 PM, deputies responded to the 1700 block of NE Conifer Blvd in Corvallis for a theft complaint. Deputies subsequently arrested Andrew Oaks, 27, for cutting the lock on a cash box on NE Garden Ave, and taking about $80 worth of cash and causing $250 in damages.
COMPUTER CRIME - On Monday, December 12th, 2022, at about 11:10 am, deputies were dispatched to a fraud complaint in the 30800 block of Peterson Rd in Philomath. She made a $100 deposit on a dog to a stranger online. The seller wanted an increasing amount of money before he would allow her to see it.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 11, 2022, at 2:16 AM, deputies stopped Aaron Goodman, 40, on Highway 99W near Greenberry Road for an un-signaled turn. Goodman had a confirmed warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for FTA/ Theft I, No bail. Goodman was issued a citation with a new court date.

ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On December 10, 2022 at about 9:03 am, deputies observed a driver crash in the west ditch of Independence Hwy north of Springhill. The driver was northbound on Independence as he attempted to negotiate an S curve in the roadway. The driver stated his vehicle suffered a flat tire which caused him to lose control and crash into the ditch.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Friday, December 9, 2022 at approximately 5:25 P.M., Vehicle 2, a 2013 Ford Edge, was East on Reservoir Road near West Hills Road. Vehicle 1, a 2013 Ford, F150, was stopped at the stop sign on West Hills Road at Reservoir Road. The driver of vehicle 1 believed he had enough time to turn left and pulled out in front of the Ford Edge causing the Ford Edge to crash into the F150. Both vehicles were towed.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On December 9, 2022 at about 1:47 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle traffic crash on HWY 20 at MP 8. The driver was traveling eastbound on HWY 20 when he failed to negotiate a left hand curve in the highway. The vehicle entered the south ditch where it collided with a Century Link telephone pole and an ODOT road sign. The driver wasn`t sure what had happened and believed he must have fallen asleep and was issued a citation for DWS-Violation.
VEHICLE RECOVERED FOR OTHER AGENCY - On Friday, December 9, 2022, at about 3:10 am, deputies found a brown GMC pickup truck in the parking lot at 2080 NW 9th Street, Corvallis. The truck had recently been reported stolen to the Corvallis Police Department. No one was with the vehicle when deputies found it. Corvallis Police later recovered the vehicle and returned it to its owner.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On December 9, 2022, at around 12:15 am, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a light blue 1992 Lincoln Town Car on Highway 20 MP 8. Deputies later arrested the driver, Nolan Brooks, 22, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. Brooks was later issued criminal citations for DUII and Reckless Driving and issued a traffic citation for Failing to Drive Within Lane.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On December 8, 2022, at about 8:20 a.m. deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W near NW Mountain View, Corvallis for an injury traffic crash. Unit 1 was southbound when she was rear-ended by unit 2. The driver of unit 1 was transported to Corvallis Good Samaritan Hospital.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; THEFT 3 - On Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at approximately 6:35 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the Monroe Fire Department for a possible robbery. Deputies were told the victim had chased down one of the suspects and had their property. Two juveniles later admitted to entering a man’s truck and stealing an orange bag containing approximately 20.00 dollars. One juvenile was later cited for Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle and Theft 3. Both juveniles were released to their guardians. Case cleared by juvenile arrest.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 5th, 2022, at approximately 9:20 am, deputies were notified by dispatch that Michael Baker, 35, was in the Parole and Probation office at 180 NW 5th Street in Corvallis, Oregon. Baker had confirmed warrants out of Albany Municipal Court and Marion County Circuit Court. Baker was cited in lieu of Custody.
DUII - On Saturday, December 3, 2022 at approximately 5:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W and West Ingram Island Road for a rollover crash. The driver, Alissa Marie Brown, 31, was later transported to Good Samaritan Emergency Department where a hospital blood draw. Brown was cited for DUII.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Saturday, December 3, 2022, at about 8:55 am, deputies stopped a dark blue Subaru sedan on Highway 20 near milepost 7 for driving 76 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. Deputies later arrested the driver, Julio Carlos Garcia, 30, for DUII and Reckless Driving. Garcia was cited and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On December 1st, 2022 at about 9:23 am, deputies were dispatched to a car over the embankment on Alpine Road and Nichols Road, west of Alpine. Deputies arrived and met with the driver who said he was traveling east bound on Alpine Road when he slid on the icy road and left the roadway. The vehicle left the roadway on the south side of the road and was stopped by some trees. The driver said he was traveling 30 to 35 mph. He was wearing his lap shoulder belt at the time of the crash and was not injured.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On November 30, 2022, at about 6:41 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W at NE Arnold Ave, Corvallis for a non-injury motor vehicle crash. Unit 1 was traveling south on Highway 99 W in 2010 Toyota Carolla. Unit 2 was driving west on NE Arnold Ave and failed to stop for the stop sign. The crash occurred in the middle of the intersection. Both vehicles were towed due to damage.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, November 27, 2022, at about 10:50 PM, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a white F 150 on SW 5th Street and SW C Street in Corvallis for expired tags. The driver, Tyler Bo Hornaday, 29, informed deputies he had not gone to DMV to renew the plates and also stated he believed he had a warrant. He did have a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear- Endangering the Welfare of a Minor. Tyler was issued a criminal citation and a new court date.
PERSON < 21 POSSESSING / CONSUMING MARIJUANA - On November 28, 2022, deputies responded to Crescent Valley High School for a student in possession of marijuana. The juvenile was cited and the marijuana was seized and entered into evidence.
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at approximately 4:01 PM, deputies were dispatched to contact a caller regarding the unlawful entry of her black 2016 Chrysler Town and County minivan while parked at the Sulphur Springs Saddle trailhead area. Her rear driver-side passenger door window was broken and purse was taken from inside. There are no leads or suspects.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On Saturday, November 19, 2022, at about 11:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to a crash in the 5900 block of SW Plymouth Drive, near Corvallis. Deputies arrived to find a white 2017 Toyota Tacoma off the residential driveway and had crashed into a fence. Zethan Brandenberger was issued a criminal citation for Criminal Mischief 2 (2 counts) for damaged to a residential fence and the Toyota pickup.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On December 6, 2022, at around 3:58 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 4800 block of NW Highway 20 for a report of trespassing. A resident reported seeing an individual walking around his abandoned house. Deputies later contacted a male, who was taking photographs of the exterior. The male was warned that the property was private.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On December 4th, 2022, at approximately 11:30 am, deputies received a call about a destroyed mailbox in the 5800 block of NW Burgundy Drive in Corvallis. The mailbox was taken off the post and found in a field. There are no suspects.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 3, 2022, at around 9:03 pm, deputies were dispatched to Hwy 99 and NE Elliot Circle for a reported welfare check. They contacted Mark Edward Phelps, 52, who had three confirmed Washington County Warrants. Deputies and issued him citations for the warrants.
ASSAULT 4; BURGLARY 1 - On December 3, 2022 at around 6:35 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of NE Elliot Circle for a reported assault. Heather Lee Briggs, 45, was arrested for Burglary in the First Degree and Assault in the Fourth Degree. She was issued citations at the Benton County Jail and released.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 12/3/2022 PERREARD, DARREN, 52, TURNED HIMSELF IN ON MULTIPLE WARRANTS. PERREARD WAS GIVEN A NEW COURT DATE AND TIME.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On December 3rd, 2022 at around 1:10 am, deputies stopped William Henery Steen, 37, for expired registration at NW Tyler Ave and NW 4th St. Steen had a confirmed Albany Municipal Court warrant, No Bail, for Contempt of Court. Steen was also driving while suspended. He was issued citations for both and released.
POSS BURGLARS TOOLS; WARRANT ARREST - On December 2, 2022, at around 6:44pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a red 2007 Chrysler 300 near the intersection of NE Circle Blvd and Jack London St. They later arrested passenger Dwight Reedy, 28, for a statewide felony warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court for Parole Violation. Reedy was issued criminal citations for Possession of Burglary Tools or Theft Device and an Albany Municipal Court warrant for DWS-Misdemeanor. Reedy was transported to Linn County Jail where he was lodged.
ATT ASSAULT ON A PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; RESISTING ARREST; HARASSMENT- On December 1, 2022, at 11:15 PM, deputies observed Joshua Gomez, 30, assaulting another male at the intersection of 4th Street and Adams Avenue in Corvallis. Gomez fled on foot and was taken into custody a few blocks away. Gomez Attempted to Assault and spit on a deputy during the arrest. Gomez was transported to the Benton County Jail. Gomez was charged with Disorderly Conduct II, Resisting Arrest, Attempted Assault on a Public Safety Officer and Harassment.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 1, 2022, at around 9:26 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black 2002 Chevrolet Suburban in the IGA parking lot, near Hickory St NW and North Albany Rd. They later arrested Laura Howard, 45, for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Theft 3rd Degree. Howard was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
THEFT 2 - On 12/01/2022 at approximately 8:00 P.M., deputies were contacted by a Benton County Public Works Employee who reported 30-40 gallons of diesel had been siphoned from a grader that was parked at Bellfountain Road and Dawson Road.
WARRANT ARREST - On December 1, 2022, at 1:42 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 5800 block of NW Highland Place in Corvallis were they cited and released Luke Elbinger, 31, on a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 30, 2022, at around 7:09 pm, deputies contacted a silver 1997 Acura Integra at Takena Landing Park and arrested Patrick Sundberg, 32, on a statewide felony warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court for PV-PCS Meth. Sundberg was transported to the Linn County Jail where he was lodged.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII - On Monday, November 28th, 2022, at 9:45 p.m., deputies located an impaired driver on Hwy 99W near the Corvallis Public Works located. The vehicle was stopped and Michael Tucker, 51, was arrested for DUII.
DUII; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Monday, November 28, 2022, at about 8:10 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a report of reckless driving on Highway 20 near Shrike Way. Witnesses reported seeing a gray Toyota Tacoma driving erratically, crashing, and attempting to leave the crash scene. Deputies later arrested the driver, Clinton Michael Webster, 37, for Reckless Driving, Failure to Perform Duties of a Driver, and DUII (Drugs). Webster was cited and released.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII - On 11/27/2022 at approximately 1:30 A.M., deputies were on patrol when they conducted a traffic stop on a white Jeep, driven by Ramonne Canales, 24. Canales was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants.
DUII - On 11/26/2022 at approximately 8:50 P.M., deputies were on patrol when I conducted a traffic stop on a silver Subaru Forester driven by Janet Kelsey, 67. Kelsey was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 26th, 2022 at about 3:20 pm, deputies stopped Wendell Stephens, 55, for failing to signal a turn. Stephens had 5 outstanding warrants. Stephens was also cited for DWS-Violation, Driving Uninsured and a warning for Defective lighting
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE - On November 25, 2022, at around 7:09 pm, deputies were dispatched to an ATL DUII on Highway 99W, near NW Arboretum Rd. Deputies later located the silver 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser driving erratically on NW Circle Blvd and arrested Rodolfo Sales, 27, for Attempt to Elude, Reckless Driving, and Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants.
DOG BITE - On November 25th, 2022, at approximately 12:47 pm, deputies were dispatched to a dog bite in the 5100 block of NE Willamette Ave in Adair Village. The dog was quarantined at the residence.
WARRANT ARREST - On 11/24/2022 at approximately 10:30 P.M., deputies contacted Steen Skinner, 32, in the 1800 block of SW 3rd Street in the Downing`s Gym Parking lot in Corvallis. Skinner was issued citations in lieu of custody for four misdemeanor warrants.
ASSAULT PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER; ASSAULT; RESISTING ARREST - On November 23, 2022 at around 7:30 pm deputies were dispatched to the area of N 16th St and Pioneer St for a male wearing a red jacket on a bicycle looking into houses. Deputies later located the same individual at N 16th St and College St. After stopping the vehicle, a juvenile male became extremely agitated and was placed into handcuffs for safety reasons. The juvenile later became combative and after fighting him to the ground he pulled a knife out of his pocket. After fighting with the knife for around 6 minutes the juvenile let it go and was later lodged at Linn Benton Juvenile Detention for Assault 1- Attempted x3, Assault on a Public Safety Officer x3 and Resisting Arrest.
BURGLARY 1; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3; RECKLESS DRIVING - On November 23, 2022 at about 12:07 p.m., deputies were dispatched to an attempted burglary in the 30200 block of Highway 99W, Corvallis. The homeowner returned while Jared Lee Crawford, 29, was returning to his vehicle. Crawford fled the location at a high rate of speed. Crawford was later arrested for Attempted Burglary, Criminal Mischief and Reckless Driving.
WARRANT ARREST - ON NOVEMBER 17, 2022, BEDOLLA, STEVE BRENNER, 52, WAS CITED AND RELEASED FROM JAIL WITH A NEW COURT DATE FOR A LEBANON MUNICIPAL COURT WARRANT.
WARRANT ARREST - On 11/15/22 at approximately 7:00 am, Asa A Williams, 37, turned himself in on a warrant. Williams was booked and lodged.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 10, 2022 at around 4:00 pm, deputies contacted and arrested Donald Ray Jeffers, 58, in the 3000 block of SE 3rd St, Corvallis. Jeffers had a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear and was issued a citation and later released.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 2, 2022, Allen Lee Nolan, 26, reported in on a an Albany Muni court warrant for contempt of court.
WARRANT ARREST - On 11/02/22 Christensen, Paul, 34, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail on Christensen for a FTA DUII warrant out of Benton Co Circuit court and was cited and released.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On November 6th, 2022 at around 1:55 am, deputies located James Richard Branam, 44, of Sweet Home, in a parking lot of in North Albany. Branam was trespassed from the property for life in 2020 and was subsequently arrested for criminal trespass in the second degree.
STRANGULATION; ASSAULT 4 - On November 7, 2022 at around 3:07 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Jail for a reported assault. An AIC was physically assaulted by Dakota John Lyon, 25, in the other AIC’s cell. The AIC had physical injuries to his face and mouth. Lyon was cited for Strangulation and Assault IV.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 7, 2022 at about 11:50 PM, deputies observed a lone Ford Escape in the park and ride lot near 660 Hickory St NW in Albany. Deputies subsequently arrested the passenger, Daniel Carrico, 38, for an outstanding warrant.

POSS METH; DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On November 9, 2022, deputies stopped Willard John Madarus for a lighting violation in his blue 1991 Honda Accord at SE 2nd Ave and SE Lyon St. Madarus, 64, had seven confirmed warrants in which he was issued a citation for. Madarus was also arrested, cited and released for new crimes PCS Meth (misd) and DWS Misdemeanor.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 9, 2022, Olivas, Nathan, 41, of Lebanon reported to the jail for a warrant. Deputies confirmed the warrant with dispatch and Olivas was cited and released with a new court date.
FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On November 11th, 2022 at approximately 11:16, deputies initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 99 and Circle Blvd. Deputies stopped a dodge 1994 Dodge Intrepid for impeding traffic. Freddy Azmbrano Rea, 45, was cited for Failure to Carry and Present, Impeding traffic, and no operator`s license.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 11th, 2022 at approximately 2:46 pm, Dustin Brummett, 41, was arrested at Pioneer Park in Corvallis and cited in lieu of custody on a Failure to Appear to Warrant out of Linn County Oregon. Brummett was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 11, 2022, around 3:00 PM, deputies were on foot patrol at Pioneer Park, 1300 Philomath Boulevard, Corvallis. Deputies approached a tent and contacted a male trying to hide under some blankets. The male identified himself as Meritt James Hageman, 26. Hageman had a warrant out of Benton County Circuit for Failing to Appear, and a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Criminal Mischief 2. Deputies issued Hageman a citation for the Benton County Warrant, explained the citation to him, and released him from custody.
PAROLE VIOLATION - On November 11, 2022, deputies located Sarah Davis, 28, near the railroad tracks at Pioneer Park in Corvallis. Davis was transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged on multiple warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, November 12, 2022 at around 12:30 am, deputies spoke with Danielle Justine Cook, 30, at the Philomath Liquor store located in the 1800 block of Main Street, Philomath and cited and released her for multiple warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, November 12, 2022 at around 12:50 am, deputies spoke with Dusty Lee Risland, 34, in the 1700 block of Main Street, Philomath and issued him criminal citations for warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 12, 2022, around 1:45 PM, deputies were on foot patrol in the area Pioneer Park, at 1300 Philomath Boulevard, Corvallis. Deputies observed a female walking near the train tracks who identified herself as Justice Breanne Ortiz, 26. Ortiz had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Philomath Municipal Court for Theft 3. After giving Ortiz the citation she was released from custody.
DWS FEL - On 11/12/2022 at approximately 10:15 P.M., deputies stopped a vehicle at Highway 20 and Shrike Way. The driver, Matthew Weaver, 50, of Newport, was given a citation in lieu of custody for Felony Driving While Suspended and was released from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, November 14, 2022, at about 4:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Parole and Probation office at the Benton County Sheriff`s Office to serve a warrant on Javier Nickolas Corona, 28. Corona was taken into custody on a state-wide felony parole board warrant and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
HARASSMENT - On November 15, 2022, at around 5:38 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Jail for a report of Aggravated Harassment. Inmate Samuel Hendrick, 36, reportedly spit on a Jail Deputy from within his cell. Deputies later issued Hendrick a criminal citation for Aggravated Harassment.
UUV - On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at approximately 5:18 PM, deputies were dispatched to contact a male regarding the theft of his vehicle. The male left his vehicle somewhere just west of Alsea Falls off South Fork Road while looking for mushrooms with his significant other at approximately 9:30 AM. When they returned to where the vehicle had been left approximately two hours later the vehicle was gone. The vehicle was left unlocked and the keys were in the center console area. There are no leads or suspects.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On November 15, 2022 at approximately 8:15 PM, deputies stopped Lorelle SHERMAN, 33, for Improperly Executed Left Turn and suspicion of DUII and was subsequently arrested for DUII.  SHERMAN was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody and later released.
WARRANT ARREST; PAROLE VIOLATION - On November 18th, 2022 at approximately 1:35 pm, deputies responded to the 35100 block of Kings Valley Highway in Philomath for a warrant service. Deputies arrested Rodney Savage, 51, for Benton County Parole violation warrant and Marcy Savage for Albany and Philomath Municipal court warrants. They were cited in lieu of custody.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1; DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE - On November 17th, 2022, deputies located a suspect vehicle involved in a robbery that had just occurred at the Fred Meyers in Corvallis. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle at HWY 34 and Riverside Drive but the vehicle attempted to elude. The vehicle crashed at Riverside Drive and Meadows Rd where deputies apprehended the driver, Alexandra Tevogt, 33, of Sweet Home. Tevogt was transproted to Linn County Jail where she was booked for the following: ORS.811.540 – Elude ORS.811.140 - Reckless Driving ORS.163.195 - Reckless Endangering ORS.164.365 -Criminal Mischief In the first degree ORS.813.010 - DUII (Drugs). She was additionally booked on a Linn County warrant for Computer Crimes and cited by Corvallis Police for numerous other crimes related to the robbery event.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On November 18th, 2022 at approximately 10:39 am, deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of North 9th Street in Philomath for an active trespass. Gordon Gefroh, 63, was arrested for Trespass in the second degree and cited and released from the Benton County Jail.
POSS METH (LESS THAN 2 GRAMS); WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, November 18, 2022, at about 12:00 pm, deputies arrested Adam Dean Carrier, 48, in the 800 block of Heritage Hills Drive on a misdemeanor Albany Municipal Court warrant. Carrier had a violation amount of methamphetamine on his person at the time of his arrest. Carrier was cited for drug possession and issued a citation with a court date for his warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On November 18, 2022, around 2:15 PM, deputies were on foot patrol near 1780 Four Acre Place Corvallis. Deputies observed a male picking up garbage near a campsite, near the railroad tracks. Deputies briefly talked to the male before asking him what his name was. The male identified himself as Joseph Ray Pontarolo, 36, and told them he likely had a warrant. Dispatch informed confirmed that Pontarolo had two cite and release warrant out of Corvallis Municipal Court for a Public Order Crime and Open Container. After issuing him a citation, deputies released Pontarolo from custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, November 18, 2022, at about 4:00 pm, deputies arrested Joshua Paul Scott, 40, in a camp in the 1700 block of NE Four Acre PL on a felony warrant issued by the Santiam Correctional Institution. Scott was lodged at the Benton County Jail on his warrant and on a charge of resisting arrest.
WARRANT ARREST; FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; RESISTING ARREST - On November 18, 2022, at around 5:25 pm, deputies were dispatched to the area near Highway 99W MP 102 for a report of a man walking in the middle of the roadway. Deputies later arrested Robert Dorsey, 61, for Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree, Providing False Information to a Police Officer, and a Washington County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear – Criminal Mischief 1st Degree.
