Listed below are recent incidents responded to by the Benton County Sheriff's Office. This report does not reflect all Sheriff's Office activities and is updated as time and personnel allow. 

Any arrest and complaint information included below is based on the legal conclusion that, as with any criminal case, a charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.

PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE – On September 21, 2023 at 9:39 a.m., deputies transported a stray dog from the 23700 block of Ervin Road in Philomath to the Heartland Humane Society where she was impounded. The dog was micro-chipped and the owner was made aware. There was a second dog that deputies were unable to capture. The owner was in route to gather that dog.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Saturday, September 23rd, 2023, at about 5:36 p.m., deputies responded to the area of 6200 SW Plymouth Dr, Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon for a single vehicle rollover crash. The 17-year-old female driver had four minor passengers. Some had minor scratches and bruises from the crash. The driver was issued a citation for driving in violation of her license restrictions.
THEFT 3 - On September 23, 2023, at 4:36 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 25100 block of Alpine Road in Monroe for a Theft. The resident reported an unknown suspect siphoned a full tank of gas out her car. The car was parked in her driveway at the time. A full tank of gasoline was valued at about $80. There is no suspect information at this time.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 23, 2023, at approximately 8:00 AM, deputies were patrolling near Takena Landing, Benton County, Oregon where they located Michael J Ridders, 51. Ridders was later arrested on a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Contempt of Court - Criminal Trespass 2. Ridders was issued a citation in lieu of custody with court dates for his warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 22, 2023, Amathist Lahondy, 25, turned herself in at BCCF for FTA-Theft 3 out of Benton County Circuit Court, $1000-00 Bail. Lahondy was taken into custody.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 21, 2023, at 7:20 PM, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near Woods Creek Road in Philomath for a single vehicle non-injury traffic crash. The driver was traveling eastbound when she crashed into the guardrail. She was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely.
DUII; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On 09/21/2023 at approximately 12:11 am, deputies conducted a crash investigation near the intersection of West Hills Road and North 19th Street in Philomath. Deputies arrested the female driver, Madeline Mechele Kemp, 22, for DUII, and arrested the passenger, Wyatt Lile, 26, for Criminal Trespass II, 26. Lile was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On 09/20/23 Wells, Jerry, 34, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail on a Benton Co Circuit warrant for FTA Theft I.
ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT - September 20, 2023 an Amazon delivery driver reported that he had been bitten by a dog residing in the 900 block of NW Camilia Drive in Corvallis. The bite did not break skin. The dog did not need to be quarantined. The dog owner has come up with a plan to keep future delivery people safe.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at approximately 1:25 pm, deputies were parked on SE Goodnight Avenue near SE 3rd Street when a passerby stopped to tell deputies there was a crash at SE Goodnight Avenue and SE Midvale Drive. Deputies found the non-injury crash blocking the intersection.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 11, 2023, at approximately 3:15 PM, deputies were assisting in an investigation into a recovered stolen motorcycle located in the woods near Taken Landing, Benton County, Oregon where they located Scott Eugene Medford, 45. Medford was later arrested on a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Contempt of Court - Interfering with an Officer. Medford was issued citations in lieu of custody with a court date for his warrant.
VEHICLE RECOVERED FOR OTHER AGENCY - On September 11th, 2023, at about 1:15 p.m., deputies recovered a stolen motorcycle at Tekena Landing Park at 656 Highway 20, Albany, Oregon. The motorcycle was found on the southwest side of the park near the entrance of the park. There are no suspects at this time. The motorcycle was returned to the owner.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, September 11, 2023, at approximately 8:20 AM, deputies responded to the 5100 block of NW Highway 99W, Corvallis for a non-injury crash. The driver was traveling south on Highway 99W when he failed to see the vehicle in front of him slow to turn right into a driveway, and his vehicle struck the rear end of turning vehicle. The driver was issued a traffic citation for following too close, and both drivers exchanged information.
ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY - On Sunday, September 10th, 2023, at approximately 5:26 PM, deputies responded to a reported rollover crash at milepost 46 on Highway 34. The vehicle was unoccupied with severe damage. The minor driver was later brought to the scene by his parents. No criminal action was taken.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Sunday, September 10, 2023, at approximately 12:30 PM, deputies responded to the 30200 block of Highway 99W for a report of a suspicious vehicle driving through a field and a yard at the residence. Deputies contacted the driver of the vehicle who was from out the area and looking for a friend`s house, when he got turned around on the farm access roads.
ASSAULT 4; RECKLESS DRIVING - On September 8, 2023 at around 12:55 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near milepost #9 for an injury crash. Kaden Justin Lee, 19, was later arrested, cited, and released for Assault IV, Reckless Endangering and Reckless Driving.
MISSING PERSON - On 9/1/2023 at around 7:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to a lost person driving a vehicle above Hull Oakes Lumber Mill. A female got lost on logging roads while picking berries and taking photos. Deputies drove to her GPS location and she followed deputies out of the woods.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 29, 2023, Rachelle Marie Guess, 36, was arrested on a warrant at the jail. She was issued a court date and time per agency request.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE – Deputies received a complaint from Benton County Parks Department about a maroon sedan being parked at Hyak Park, and couple of people living out of car, camping there during day, but not known if at night. Deputies spoke with the occupants of the vehicle, who said they stay at the park during the day but at night, camp out of their car in Linn County. They were not committing any crimes or violations by staying at Hyak Park during the day.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Monday, September 18, 2023, at about 11:45 am, deputies were dispatched to the 6600 block of Reservoir Avenue for a report of a trespass. Deputies arrived and spoke with the property owner who said he has an ongoing issue with people trespassing on his driveway while coming to and from Grand Oaks neighborhood to the Bald Hill parking lot on Reservoir Avenue. The issue today was a male driving his vehicle down the resident’s driveway to the pathway to drop wood chips near the path. Deputies are going to work with the property owner moving forward to try and find a more permanent solution to eliminate persons trespassing on his property.
DWS MIS - On Monday September 18, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black 2007 Lincoln Navigator on College Street, Philomath. The driver later identified as Michael Konkolis, 36, was later arrested and issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody for driving while suspended/revoked.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 15, 2023 at about 4:00 AM, deputies observed Kristina Vergara, 42, inside a vehicle parked in the 600 block of of NW Hickory Ave. Vergara had a confirmed warrant out for her arrest. Vergara was issued a citation in lieu of custody for an Albany municipal for failure to comply, $285 bail.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at approximately 11:55 am, deputies were driving through Avery Park when they saw a motorcycle with an unreadable license plate. Deputies stopped the motorcycle on SW 15th Street near Philomath Boulevard and arrested the driver, Curtis W. Dorman, 20, for a warrant. He was cited and released.
On Tuesday, Sept. 19, deputies arrested Rachel Anne Gregg (38) of Philomath, for DUII and Reckless Driving.
On Saturday, Sept. 17, deputies arrested Tyler Daniel Mead (21) of Corvallis, for DUII and Reckless Driving.
On Saturday, Sept. 17, deputies arrested Grayson Edward Gillbanks (23) of Moraga, CA, for DUII.
On Friday, Sept. 15, deputies arrested Edward Eugene Freeman (67) of Waldport, for DUII.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Saturday, September 10th, 2023, at approximately 3:59 PM, deputies were dispatched to a reported identity theft in the 24200 block of Highway 34, outside of Philomath. Deputies contacted a resident who reported her name and financial information was used to open accounts with a power company in Texas. There was no suspect information; the resident wanted a report number to provide to the company.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Monday, September 18, 2023, deputies spoke with a resident by phone regarding a fraudulent credit card being opened using his information. The resident had already frozen his credit and is watching his credit and bank statements.
WARRANT ARREST - On 9/17/2023 at approximately 10:29 pm, Madison Crawford (25) of Sheridan, was arrested for an outstanding Lebanon Municipal Court warrant on 15th St. near College St. She was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 15th 2023 at about 11:35 am, deputies located Todd Strom, 57, walking into a trailer park on E. Main Street, Alsea. Strom had active warrants: one out of Florence, Oregon for Trespass and one out of Oregon State Parole. Strom was taken into custody without incident and transported to the jail for booking.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, September 9th, 2023, at approximately 10:22 PM, deputies were dispatched to a reported motor-vehicle collision at the intersection of Alpine Cutoff Road and Highway 99 West. Deputies responded to the crash and confirmed it was non-injury and assisted both motorists in vehicle removal. No criminal action was taken.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 5, 2023 at about 12:05 AM, deputies located Kyle Ropchan, 29, on NW Hickory Street near NW Springhill Drive in North Albany, for a warrant for Failure to Appear- possession of Burglary Tools. Kyle was issued a criminal citation and released.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 9/17/23 AT APPROXIMATELY 10:58 PM, DEPUTIES ARRESTED NOLAN, ALLEN, 27, ON A WARRANT OUT OF ALBANY MUNI COURT FOR FTA CONTEMPT OF COURT CITE AND RELEASE.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 9/17/23 AT APPROXIMATELY 10:43 PM, DEPUTIES ARRESTED SHANIA, 25, ON A WARRANT FOR FTA LARCENY OUT OF ALBANY MUNI COURT.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 15, 2023, at 10:11 PM, deputies stopped Luke Tillman, 33, on Highway 34 near the Highway 34 Bypass in Corvallis after he made an improper turn and drove through two red lights. Tillman attempted to switch places with his passenger as deputies approached the vehicle. Tillman was placed into handcuffs with his hands behind his back a short time later. Tillman had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for FTA/ Theft III, Bail $1,250. Tillman was additionally driving while suspended violation and without insurance. Tillman was issued a new court date for the warrant and cited for the traffic violations. Tillman was released from the scene.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER PROP DAMAGE - On September 14, 2023, at around 4:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to a hit and run on South Fork Road. A driver reported he was traveling west on South Fork Road when a truck in the oncoming lane came close to his side of the road. The driver said he was as far to the right as he could be without going off the road and they smacked mirrors. The driver’s mirror was broken and the opposing driver did not stop.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 14, 2023, Williams, Thomas, 70, turned himself in on a warrant for FTA- Unlawful Poss of Meth and Theft 3. Williams was released with a new court date of 9/26/23 at 130. He was released with the 5-day rule.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On September 14, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the Monroe Library at 380 North 5th Street in Monroe, for a suspicious vehicle parked in their lot next to the flagpole. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the vehicle owner who said he is living out of his Honda, but has a flat right rear tire, and would move the vehicle when he could. Deputies recommended to the library to put up signs in the parking lot if they did not want vehicles staying there overnight.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at about 1:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W near South 5th Street in Monroe for a vehicle crash. Deputies arrived and observed a green 1996 Honda Accord crashed into the bridge railing on the southbound side of the roadway. The driver stated his air bags deployed causing him to crash into the bridge railing. The driver was issued citations for No Insurance and Expired Vehicle Registration.
WARRANT ARREST - On 09/13/23 Walker, Neal, 55, turned himself in at the Benton Co Jail on a FTA warrant out of Benton Co Circuit court. Deputies served the warrant on Walker.
THEFT BY DECEPTION COMPUTER CRIME - On September 11, 2023, deputies were dispatched to a case of Fraud. Deputies called an employee with Adult Protective Services who reported an elderly resident had wired $54,000.00 dollars to Xu Bin in Hong Kong expecting to buy antique furniture.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Monday, September 11, 2023, at approximately 11:50 am, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries near 23890 Highway 99W. Two vehicles reportedly collided head-on. Deputies arrived and found two vehicles crashed into each other in the northbound lane of Highway 99W. Monroe Fire Department personnel were already on scene assessing one of the patients. OSP arrived and deputies turned the scene over to them.
VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT - On 09/08/2023 at approximately 11:01 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 28700 block of Dodge Island Road for a violation of a no contact release agreement protecting an adult male from Shelly Miller, 40. Miller was inside the residence where she was not allowed to be. Deputies spoke with both parties and developed probable cause to arrest Miller for violating her no contact release agreement.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 13, 2023 at about 1:00 AM, deputies were on Highway 99W at about milepost 80 when they observed a Volkswagen Passat bearing an expired plate for a Chevy truck. Deputies stopped the vehicle for the violation and identified the driver and passenger, Madison Crawford, 25. Crawford had two confirmed warrants for her arrest which she was issued citations for: Albany Municipal Court- Fail to appear- Larceny, $1250 bail, and Philomath Municipal Court- Contempt of court, $5000 bail. Crawford was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST – On September 11, 2023, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a White 1999 Chevrolet Silverado on Hwy 20/milepost 47, Philomath. After deputies contacted the driver, Jeffery Tyler, 57, they learned that he had two Albany Municipal Court warrants (FTA 2 and FTA Trespass 2). Deputies issued him a citation in lieu of custody for the warrants and a violation level citation for driving while suspended.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 10, 2023, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a black 2001 Ford F150 on NW 9th St, Corvallis. After deputies contacted the driver, Zachary Knittle, 33, they learned he had two Benton County Circuit Court warrants (FTA DUII and FTA DWS Misdemeanor). Deputies issued him a citation in lieu of custody and a verbal warning for his traffic violations.
DWS MIS - On September 10, 2023 at around 8:24 pm, deputies stopped a silver 2006 Subaru Impreza for speeding on Highway 34 near milepost 53. The driver, Darian N Kinney, 25, was later arrested, cited, and released for driving while suspended misdemeanor.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 8, 2023 at about 2:00 AM, deputies arrested Justin O`Keefe, 24, in the parking lot of 2335 NW Kings Blvd in Corvallis, for warrants. O`Keefe was lodged at the Benton County jail on multiple warrants.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On September 7, 2023 at about 8:30 PM, deputies responded to the 22200 block of Davis Rd for a suspicious person complaint. A resident stated that what appeared to be a transient was riding around their remote neighborhood and had left a stroller near a residence on Davis Rd. Deputies were unable to locate the transient that reportedly rode off westbound on Highway 20 on a bicycle.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On September 7, 2023 at about 6:30 AM, deputies responded to Highway 99W near the intersection of Lakeside Drive for a multivehicle injury traffic crash. Deputies spoke to the drivers of three different vehicles involved in the crash. One driver failed to stop for a vehicle turning onto Lakeside Drive from Highway 99W and caused a three-vehicle crash involving a semitruck.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at approximately 12:40 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 37100 block of Belden Creek Road for a suspicious vehicle. A resident reported a green Subaru parked in a gravel parking area for his house. The resident later spoke to his roommate who knew the owner and gave him permission to park there.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at approximately 7:38 am, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injury at Ward Road and Maxfield Creek Road. A pickup crashed into the back of a dump truck loaded with rock.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On September 3rd, 2023, at about 9:45 am, deputies were dispatched to the 21500 block of South Fork Road in Alsea Oregon, for a report of unlawful entry of a motor vehicle. Three vehicles were broken into, and several items were taken from each vehicle. There were no witnesses and no suspects.
On Friday, Sept. 8, deputies arrested Edward Elgin Koen (57) of Corvallis, for DUII.
On Saturday, Sept. 9, deputies arrested Robert Eric Eugene Rohwer (21) of Burns, for DUII and Reckless Driving.
On Tuesday, Sept. 12, deputies arrested Jackson Delaney Gibbs (48) of Corvallis, for DUII.
On Thursday, Sept. 7, deputies arrested Jimmie Eugene Beck Jr. (19) of Newport, for DUII Drugs and driving with a suspended license.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On 9/9/2023 at approximately 11:57 pm, deputies spoke with a female who told them she lost her apple watch at the Crescent Valley football game earlier that day and that it was currently pinging at an address in the 1300 block of NW 10th St. Deputies responded to the Corvallis address and spoke with a resident who said she found the watch in the parking lot and intended to call in the morning. The watch was returned to its owner.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On 09/08/2023 at approximately 6:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 26600 block of Alpine Cutoff Road in Monroe. Deputies spoke with a caller who said a suspicious 2006 White Ford Expedition had driven onto his property and began asking about a shed he was building. The unknown individual left in the vehicle a short time after that. No crime was committed, and no suspect information is available.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 8, 2023, at 4:05 PM, deputies responded to Soap Creek Road near milepost 1 for a Non-injury Traffic Crash. The driver was learning how to drive with a passenger. The driver failed to negotiate a corner and crashed into a ditch. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On September 8th 2023 at about 9:30 am, deputies responded to a motorcycle crash on Hwy 223 near mile post 29. Deputies arrived and found two citizens attending to the motorcycle rider that was seated on the ground on the side of the road.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Monday, September 4, 2023, at approximately 2:00 PM, deputies located two vehicles in the parking lot of Irish Bend County Park, Benton County, that did not have license plates displayed and the VIN numbers were obscured. Deputies located the vehicles’ owners in a tent nearby, informing them they needed to properly display license plates or temporary tags issued by the DMV while the vehicles were being driven. Neither owner had valid driving privileges and deputies told them to have a licensed driver come drive them home when they left.
THEFT 2 - On September 4th, 2023, at about 11:30 am, deputies were dispatched to a report of theft that occurred in the 17500 block of Alsea Hwy. A resident reported that at around 7:40 a.m., an unknown person climbed his fence and stole a box of Simpson metal brackets valued at 250 dollars. The resident has not provided the video evidence of the theft.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Saturday, September 2, 2023, at about 6:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate an audible alarm in the 4900 block of SW 3rd Street, Corvallis, and later determined the alarm was activated by a power outage to the neighborhood.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER; RECKLESS DRIVING; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, September 2, 2023, at approximately 8:20 AM, deputies responded to the 25600 block of Dawson Occidental Lane, Benton County for a reported hit and run crash. Nicholas Lee Clark, 28, was later located and arrested for failure to perform the duties of a driver and reckless driving. Clark was issued citations in lieu of custody and released to arrange towing for his vehicle.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On 09/01/2023, deputies was dispatched to a report of suspicious circumstances in the 7100 block of NE Arnold Avenue in Adair. Deputies contacted the property owner by phone who said two people had driven up to the business and saw them checking door handles but were unable to gain access to the building. Currently there are no leads.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 31st, 2023, a vehicle driven by an unknown Hispanic male in his 20`s was responsible for a crash with a loaded log truck, causing what is likely some minor damage to the truck. This happened on Highway 99W near milepost 102.5. The suspect vehicle, a Ford Focus that is flagged as sold, likely sustained significant driver`s side damage. A DMV crash report has been submitted as a hit and run. As of September 8th, 2023, the log truck driver has not yet gotten back to deputies with a damage estimate as requested, and the suspect vehicle has not been located.
ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY - On August 25th 2023 at about 9:20 am, deputies responded to Hwy 34 and Botkin Road in Benton County for a crash. This vehicle was over the embankment on the north side of Hwy 34 and Botkin Road. Deputies were told the crash occurred August 24th 2023 at about 5:30 am, while on the driver and passenger were on their way to work in Philomath. Deputies later made contact with the driver at his residence in the 200 block of E. Alder Street in Alsea. The driver had injuries but was doing fine. The passenger was not injured and went to work that morning after the crash. The driver said the crash was the result of a road rage incident in the curves coming down the hill. There is no description of the second vehicle.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, September 10, 2023, deputies arrested William Alexander Stronach III, 40, at Takena Landing Park in Albany on two misdemeanor Albany Municipal Court warrants. Stronach was issued a citation in lieu of custody and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, September 9, 2023, at about 5:30 pm, deputies arrested Donald Lee Vroman Jr., 46, at his home in the 26400 block of Shady Oak Drive, Monroe, on a felony Benton County Circuit Court warrant. Vroman was transported to the Benton County Jail and lodged.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 7, 2023, at around 6:00 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black 1998 GMC Yukon near Highway 20 MP 10 and later arrested passenger Oscar Porras, Jr, 45, for a Marion County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to appear - Theft 2nd Degree. Porras was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody. The Yukon`s driver was issued citations for DWS-V and Driving uninsured.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at about 11:30 am, deputies arrested Malik Robert Crowell, 21, at the Benton County Courthouse on two misdemeanor Benton County Circuit Court warrants. Crowell was issued a citation in lieu of custody and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 3rd, 2023, at about 1:40 pm, Charlene Gonzalez, 48, was arrested at the intersection of NW Tyler Ave and NW 8th Street in Corvallis, Oregon, for a Probation Violation Warrant of out Linn County Circuit Court. Gonzalez was transported and Lodged at the Linn County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 9/8/23, EDWARDO MARTINEZ, 27, TURNED HIMMSELF INTO BCCF ON AN FTA WARRANT FOR ROBBERY 3 OUT OF BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT. BENTON COUNTY JAIL WAS FULL AT TIME AND COULD NOT HOLD; A NEW COURT DATE WAS ISSUED.
WARRANT ARREST - On 9/8/23, Michael Alvarado, 32, turned himself in at BCCF on three warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court. Subject was held for arraignment.
WARRANT ARREST - On 9/5/23, Dawson Tyler Dewolfe, 24, was transported to BCJ via the hub from Lane Co and had active from Albany MUNI. A new court date was issued to him.
WARRANT ARREST - On 8/31/23, Mitchell Patrick Larkin, 33, subject was transported in from Lane Co and had an active warrant from Lebanon Muni Court for FTA cite DWS misd. A court date was issued from their court and warrant was cleared.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 8/25/23, ALBERTO PAUL NUNEZ, 31, TURNED HIMSELF IN AT BCCF ON AN FTA WARRANT FOR THEFT 2 OUT OF BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT. SUBJECT WAS HELD FOR ARRAIGNMENT PER SB48 POLICY.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 8/25/23, THANH DUC TRINH, 38, TURNED HIMSELF IN AT BCCF LOBBY ON AN FTA WARRANT FOR THEFT 1 OUT OF BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT. SUBJECT WAS HELD IN CUSTODY FOR ARRAIGNMENT.
WARRANT ARREST - On 08/22/23 WILLIS, Dontay, 25, turned himself in at the Benton Co Jail on a parole board warrant.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at approximately 1:39 pm, Mr. PACHECO-SERVIN, Eduardo Luis, 27, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail in Corvallis, OR and indicated that he had an outstanding warrant for having failed to appear at the Benton County Circuit Court for FTA - Burglary I x3, Att. Strangulation, Stalking, Menacing, Harassment and Trespass II, Bail: $20,000. PACHECO-SERVIN was lodged pending arraignment by the court.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 21st, 2023 @ approximately 8:50 am, BREWER, Patricia, 53, turned herself in to the jail on an FTA warrant for theft 3. This warrant was a cite to appear warrant and a new court date and time was given for BREWER, Patricia to appear.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 8/18/23, ANDY ELIAS KHALAF, 28, WAS CITED AT THE JAIL FOR PV-ROBBERY 3 OUT OF LINN COUNTY. A HOLD WAS PLACED FOR LINN AND SUBJECT WAS DESIGNATED TO THE NEXT AVAILABLE SHUTTLE.
DWS MIS - On 09/07/2023, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of South 14th Street in Philomath. Shane Purvis, 42, was driving a 2006 Dodge Ram East on Highway 20 from Newport. Purvis was called in as a possibly impaired driver. During deputy contact with Purvis they found no indication he was impaired. Purvis was however issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody for Driving while suspended at the misdemeanor level. Purvis arranged for someone else to come drive his vehicle home.
THEFT 1 DECEPTION - On September 6, 2023, deputies were dispatched to a report of Fraud. A resident in the 3400 block of Scenic Dr, Albany, was contacted by someone claiming to be “BCSO Captain Carley,” who told him he had an FTA warrant. The resident later deposited $8570.00 into a bitcoin ATM to close out the warrant. No current suspects.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On September 9, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 2200 block of NE Conifer Blvd, Corvallis, for a report of a man with a gun sitting in a chair in his yard. Deputies contacted the man who was attempting to kill a gopher with a shotgun on his own property. The man agreed to continue to keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction and not shoot towards a roadway or any structures beyond his own property.
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE - On September 5, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of North 7th Street, Monroe for theft. The residents reported that someone stole gas from their truck the previous night. Their gas cap had been left on the tire, that matched a can in their neighbor`s yard. Deputies spoke to the neighbor, who said it could have been one of his friends that stole the gas but agreed to pay for the stolen gas.
THEFT 2 - On September 5, 2023, a resident reported outgoing mail was stolen from the 4800 block of NW Palestine Ave. The resident has contacted the post office to forward his mail and closed the accounts related to the incident.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On September 4, 2023, around 4:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries, and possible entrapment on Highway 99 near Guerber Lane, Corvallis. It was reported that a single vehicle had left the roadway, flipped over, and had two people trapped in the vehicle. One of the occupants was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for his injuries. The driver of the green 1995 Ford F250 was cited for Driving While Suspended Violation and for Careless Driving for falling asleep at the wheel.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 3rd, 2023 at about 1:16 pm, deputies stopped Augustin Holguin, 59, while he was riding his motorcycle for suspicion of not being a licensed rider. Deputies later learned from dispatch that Holguin was DWS-Violation and he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Linn County Circuit Court for FTA-Unlawful use of a Firearm, No Bail. Holguin was placed under arrest on the confirmed warrant and transported to the Linn County Jail for booking.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Saturday, August 26, 2023 at approximately 12:35 P.M., a driver was traveling east on Highway 20 near Kings Valley Highway. A bicyclist was riding her bicycle south on Kings Valley Highway near Highway 20. The cyclist did not stop at the stop sign and went to continue east on Highway 20 as she did not see oncoming traffic. The driver tried to avoid the cyclist but struck the front driver`s side of the vehicle and then again near the back of the vehicle. The cyclist was transported to the hospital by Corvallis Medics.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On September 5, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of Commercial Street for criminal mischief. A resident explained that someone had scratched his car. Deputies looked at the car and it had been scratched by an unknown object on most of the car. No current suspects.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On September 4, 2023, at around 5:19 pm, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Alpine Rd and Bellfountain Rd for a report of Reckless Driving. A male reported he was walking east on Alpine Rd at around 4:30 pm when a black mid-sized truck purposely veered onto the gravel shoulder towards him. This has occurred twice. No current suspects.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On September 3rd, 2023, at approximately 7:30 am, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash in the 26500 block of Coon Road in Monroe, Oregon. This single motor vehicle crash resulted in only minor cuts and scrapes. The vehicle was towed.
DWS MIS - On Sunday, September 3, 2023, at approximately 8:40 am, deputies stopped a blue Honda Civic for speeding and arrested Ricardo A. Rangel for Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor. Deputies released him with a citation, and his passenger with a valid license drove after that.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On September 2nd, 2023 at about 11:00 am, deputies were dispatched to the 4900 block of NW Shiloh Place for criminal mischief to a fence. Unknown subjects cut a fence leading into the victim’s garden on the roadside of the property. This possibly happened 2 to 3 weeks ago. No suspects. The resident figured it would be $200 to $300 to have the fence repaired. He is going to contact his homeowner’s insurance provider. The wire did not look like it was freshly cut, rust had already formed over the ends of the wire.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 2nd, 2023, at approximately 11:30 am, Jesse Fretter, 46, was arrested at Takena Landing Park in Albany, Oregon, for a Contempt of Court Warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. Fretter was criminally cited and released.
PROPERTY LOST - On September 2nd, 2023, at about 8:20 a.m., deputies took a report of a lost diamond ring. A female reported losing her anniversary ring sometime in the two weeks prior to the report. The ring was valued at $2300.
BCSO K9 TRACK - On September 1, 2023, at about 10:05 PM, K9 deputies searched for items after a crash on Highway 99W near milepost 95. Deputies arrived to search for a wallet and phone after suspecting they were in the area of the crash. A K9 searched the area for the articles but only located two work gloves and a hat belonging to the driver. A K9 located both items. After multiple passes while searching, deputies determined the wallet and phone where likely in the truck still.
SEARCH AND RESCUE NOT MISSING – On September 1, 2023 at about 5:30 AM, a female called to report that she had found a small child wandering around the street in Alsea near East Main Street and East Alder Street. While on the phone to dispatch the child`s mother approached and was clearly distraught. The mother took the child home where deputies spoke with her. The mother indicated that when the child`s father left for work that morning, the child slipped out the unlocked door behind him. The child was described as being both autistic and non-verbal. The mother stated that he was wearing only a diaper and she has to consistently keep doors around the house locked for this reason. The child was only a few blocks from his residence, south towards main street.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 31, 2023, deputies were contacted by Benton County Parole and probation for a warrant service in their lobby. Deputies later arrested Ryan William Strand, 28, for a Washington County warrant for DUII and a Multnomah County warrant for Elude. Deputies issued Strand criminal citations in lieu of custody.
THEFT BY DECEPTION; IDENTITY THEFT - On August 31, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Northwest Fifth Street for a report of fraud. Deputies met with a female who reported someone took out a loan in her name for $1200.00. No current suspects.
BURGLARY 1; THEFT 2 - On August 30, 2023 at about 8:30 PM, I responded to 1533 NE Nebergall Loop Albany, Oregon for a burglary. Unknown suspects stole $560 worth of batteries and tools from the unlocked garage of this residence.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On August 30, 2023, at around 5:49 pm, I was dispatched to Llewellyn Rd and Bellfountain Rd for a reported suspicious circumstance. A passerby reported seeing a man parked along the road holding a large handgun and picking up shell casings. Deputies later contacted a male who told deputies he was picking up rocks along the road for his girlfriend. He consented to a person and vehicle search and no handgun was located.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at approximately 5:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Highway 223 near Mile Post 22, Kings Valley, Benton County and State of Oregon for a report of a motorcycle crash.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at approximately 12:46 pm, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W near Hulbert Lake Road for a non-injury motor vehicle crash. The driver collided with some hay bales which fell off a truck.
THEFT BY DECEPTION COMPUTER CRIME - On August 29, 2023, around 6:00PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a male about fraudulent activity on his Amazon account. The male said there were purchases varying from car parts to check printer ink made on his Amazon account. He said the purchases were able to be cancelled, but a package he ordered was delivered to an address in Salem. The male said the package that was delivered was around $20. Deputies told him they would issue him a case number to deal with the fraudulent activity, but he would have to contact Salem Police to have the package theft investigated.
THEFT 1 AGGRAVATED - On August 29, 2023, around 2:30PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident in the Sheriff`s Office Lobby about the theft and fraudulent activity of $175,000 in a stock brokering app he was using. The resident reported he attempted to withdraw his money from an app called, "Easytrade," and was told his account had been flagged for illegal trading. He said he was not able to gain access to his funds, and there was nobody to talk to for customer service. He told deputies he was trying to get his money back through his bank but needed a case number and report to do so. Deputies issued him a business card with a case number.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 29th, 2023, at about 10:00 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Highway 20, milepost 46 in Philomath, for a single-vehicle crash. There were no injuries. The driver arranged a tow of his vehicle.
RECKLESS BURNING - On Tuesday, August 15th, 2023 shortly after 9 pm, deputies were called to respond to the area of Sulphur Springs Road and Soap Creek Road, Corvallis. Deputies learned a brush fire was reported in this area and the fire department may need help with evacuations if they were unable to get the fire under control.
DOG AT LARGE - On August 9, 2023, around 7:15PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Bellfountain Road and Deerhaven Drive for a dog at large. It was reported that a white and tan terrier was running in the road but had been captured by someone nearby. When deputies arrived, they located the dog and transported it to Heartland Humane Society. The dog only had a Benton County Registration tag on its collar. Deputies filled out the proper paperwork at Heartland and released the dog to the care of Heartland staff.
On Wednesday, Sept. 30, deputies arrested Landry Philip Johnson (36) of Corvallis, for DUII-Drugs and Reckless Driving.
On Friday, Sept. 1, deputies arrested Nichole Elisa Ortega (31) of Cottage Grove, for DUII, Assault 3, Reckless Endangering (x2), Reckless Driving.
On Friday, Sept. 1, deputies arrested Connor Harrison Gold (28) of Corvallis, for DUII and Resisting Arrest.
On Friday, Sept. 1, deputies arrested Kenneth Steven Stierna (38) of Albany, for DUII and Reckless Endangering.
On Saturday, Sept. 2, deputies arrested Julio Carlos Garcia (30) of Corvallis, for DUII.
On Sunday, Sept. 3, deputies arrested Marcus Gerard Laurin (27) of Rochester, NY, for DUII and Reckless Driving.
On Sunday, Sept. 3, deputies arrested David Matthew Moeller (27) of Newberg, for DUII and Reckless Driving.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, August 31, 2023, at approximately 10:31 am, deputies were dispatched to a non-injury motor vehicle crash in the 1200 block of N 19th Street. A single vehicle was reported to be off the roadway. Deputies found a black Lexus off the east side of the road. The driver said he lost control of the vehicle while accelerating from a turn due to the wet road surface.
ELUDE VEHICLE - On August 31, 2023 at about 8:35 am, dispatch broadcasted an ATL for an unsigned stolen vehicle in the area of NW Oak Creek and Ridgewood. The caller described it as an Island Blue Subaru with UHAUL dealer plates. Deputies located the vehicle on Oak Creek and attempted a traffic stop. The driver refused to stop and a short elude occurred. The elude was discontinued due to unsafe driving. The unoccupied vehicle was located, crashed, at the end of NW Nightingale Pl.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On August 30, 2023 at 1:05 pm, a male reported finding a small Ziplock baggie containing a residue amount of blue crystalline substance on the sidewalk in front of the 400 block of S 5th St, Monroe. Deputies responded and secured the baggie. The baggie was entered into evidence to be destroyed.
DWS MIS - On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at about 9:20 am, deputies stopped a blue 1998 Ford Ranger pickup for a traffic violation. Deputies contacted the driver, later identified as Timothy Carl Carrol, 67, by his Oregon Identification Card. After checking Carrol`s driving status they arrested Carrol for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor. Carrol was issued a criminal citation for this crime in addition to several traffic violations.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 30, 2023 at 8:22 am, deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle traffic crash on Highway 99w near SW Airport Ave. Driver 1 was northbound on Highway 99W. As he approached SW Airport Ave, he slowed to a stop for a vehicle attempting to turn left in front of him. Driver 2 was also northbound on Highway 99w behind Driver 1 and stated he was reaching over into the passenger side of his vehicle and did not see that driver 1 had slowed to a stop. Driver 2 crashed into the rear of Driver 1’s vehicle. Driver 2’s vehicle was towed from the scene due to damages. The vehicle Driver 2 was traveling in was later reported stolen through Springfield PD.
THEFT 2 - On August 29, 2023, deputies contacted a female at her residence in the 24800 block of Alpine Road, Monroe. The female described the theft of some clothing and food from her property. Deputies also spoke with a family member who will add additional locks to better secure the property.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On August 29th, 2023, at about 7:43 a.m., deputies were flagged down at the intersection of 5th Street and Jackson in Corvallis, by a male who reported that someone driving a red Ford pickup shot a pellet gun at his vehicle, hitting the windshield. The male was unable to get a license plate for the red Ford.
ASSAULT 4; RECKLESS ENDANGERING - On August 28, 2023, at around 7:55 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 4700 block of SE Zedwick St for a reported assault. A resident reported his neighbor had assaulted him over an on-going "feud" about leaves being placed in a County-owned right-of-way. The resident had multiple deep lacerations to his face and head. Deputies later arrested Robert Zedwick, 74, for Assault 4th degree and Recklessly endangering another person. Deputies transported Zedwick to the Benton County Jail.
DWS MIS - On August 28, 2023, at approximately 8:20 AM, deputies responded to a welfare check in the 200 block of NE Azalea Drive, Adair Village. Delvis Edward George, 36, was later arrested for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor and transported to his residence.
CHILD NEGLECT 2; WARRANT ARREST - On Monday August 28, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a U-Haul box van towing a camp trailer. Deputies later learned that the driver, Julie Gagnon, 40, was suspended, and the passenger William Gagnon, 40, had a warrant for his arrest. Deputies took William into custody and later arrested Julie for child neglect 2 (x2) after learning she had two juveniles sleeping in the camp trailer while in tow. Julie was cited in lieu of custody. William was lodged at the Benton County Jail for his warrant and child neglect 2 (x2).
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Saturday, August 26, 2023, at approximately 8:00 AM, deputies responded to the 5400 block of NE Highway 20 for a suspicious vehicle parked in a driveway. Deputies  contacted a female in an orange Chevrolet HHR. The female had broken down and was sleeping in her vehicle as she waited for a town truck. The female was trespassed from the property and deputies remained with her until the tow truck arrived and removed her vehicle from the driveway.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On August 26th, 2023, a driver crashed her vehicle on Fern Road at Airport Road while driving southbound. She later reported what happened, and when deputies spoke with her, she stated she sustained some substantial injuries. She was warned about leaving a crash scene and advised to have her insurance company contact Benton County Public Works for a detour sign she damaged. Deputies also told her she needs to submit a DMV Accident/insurance report.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On Friday, August 25, at approximately 7:48 pm, deputies contacted three juveniles walking on the railroad tracks near Avery Avenue and Allen Street and warned them for walking on the railroad tracks.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE (FELONY) - On August 22nd, 2023, at about 1:30 pm, Michael Sandoval, 68, was arrested at the Benton County Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine (Felony). Sandoval was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
UUV - On Monday, August 21, 2023, at approximately 3:30 PM, deputies contacted a resident on NW Bramblewood in North Albany by phone in regard to her adult son using her white 2010 Chevrolet Malibu without permission.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On August 19th, 2023 at about 9:30 am, deputies were dispatched to Hwy 34 near mile post 41 for a motorcycle in the ditch with no one around it. Deputies contacted the rider who said he was ok but banged up. The rider told deputies he was traveling west bound and the bike tire went off the pavement and he tried to correct, running off the road and into the ditch. The rider thought he did go over the handlebars and landed in the ditch. The rider did not go to the hospital and refused an ambulance. The motorcycle was towed.
THEFT 3 - On August 18th, 2023 at about 10:52 am, deputies were dispatched to the a store in Blodgett for a report of theft of gas. Deputies made contact with an employee inside the store who said an unknown to them, male pumped $50.00 on gas and failed to pay for it. The unknown male was driving a small white car and left west bound on Hwy 20. The employee could not get a plate and she did not know the male. This same male has been in the store before and has tried to use credit cards that were all declined but not stolen. Unknown suspect at this time.
THEFT 1 - On August 29, 2023, at around 8:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 3800 block of NE Hwy 20, for a reported theft of a Husqvarna 0-turn riding lawnmower (valued at $2,000) from a shed. No current suspects.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On August 29, 2023, at around 6:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Camp Adair frisbee golf "frolf" park for a report of found property. A male reported finding a backpack and purse containing marijuana and alcohol in the tall grass. Deputies identified an Adair resident from personal items in the purse and returned the items to a female who told them she has been drinking and smoking lately due to stress with her children.
IDENTITY THEFT - On August 29, 2023, at around 4:28 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of NE Elliott Circle for a report of Identity theft. A resident reported he had just discovered an unknown person(s) had twice forged his signature on certified mail sent to him from a Benton County Tax Assessors regarding liens and wage garnishments. The same type of forgery occurred to his neighbor as well.
HARASSMENT PHONE - On August 29, 2023, deputies were dispatched to a telephonic harassment. A resident said it could be in reference to an account he had pre-bankruptcy. He said that the callers knew his social security number, address, and account number for the account they were trying to collect for.
PROPERTY, LOST - On August 28, 2023, deputies were dispatched to assist a male by phone who  reported he was unable to locate his recently deceased father`s personal vehicle, a red/burgundy 2005 Ford Ranger. Deputies were unable to locate the Ford, which was last contacted by law enforcement at the Benton County Fairgrounds on July 28, 2023.
UUV - On Monday, August 28, 2023, Julie Conner (36) and William Henry (40) were found driving a U-Haul and towing a travel trailer. The U-Haul was later reported stolen out of Maine. Maine Police later learned the renter of the U-Haul, Brenda, was the mother of William / mother-in-law of Julie. Brenda admitted to making a false report about the U-Haul being stolen to "help her grandchildren". The U-Haul was recovered by Corvallis U-Haul employees.
IDENTITY THEFT - On August 28, 2023, deputies called a resident about a fraud case. The resident told deputies that he was contacted by US bank about two people trying to open a bank account under his old business partnership that has not existed for five years.
FURNISH LIQUOR MINOR/INTOX PERSON - On Sunday August 27, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 24100 block of Gellatly Way, Philomath for a reported minor in possession (MIP) issue. Upon arrival deputies witnessed several juveniles, some of which admitted having consumed alcohol. Deputies later cited and released Sabrina Witmer, 58 for providing liquor to persons under 21.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On August 18, 2023, at approximately 7:23 pm, deputies were dispatched to attempt to locate a recklessly driven vehicle near Kelly Street and 7th Street in Monroe. Deputies contacted the driver who said she was driving the black Toyota Prius involved in the complaint. Deputies warned her for speeding on Kelly Street.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 3rd, 2023 at around 6:45 pm, deputies arrested Zachary Johnson, 33, near Granger Ave and Hyslop for multiple misdemeanor warrants out of Albany and Corvallis. Deputies transported him to the Benton County Jail and also issued him violation citations for failure to display plates and driving while suspended violation.
HARASSMENT PHONE - On August 1, 2023, around 5:00PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident about an ongoing issue with Shawna Lynn Cox, 53. She reported that Cox was sending her harassing text messages, emails, and was using a phone number disguiser to text from different numbers. Cox was subsequently arrested for Telephonic Harassment and was booked and released from the Benton County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 27, 2023, Rachelle Rictor (32) of Lebanon, was criminally cited for a Marion County FTA Theft warrant as passenger during a traffic stop in North Albany.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 27, 2023 at around 2:40 pm, deputies contacted Jeremiah Louis Jones, 34, in the 4500 block of SW West Hills Rd. Jones was later arrested and lodged at the Benton County Jail for three confirmed warrants.
SEARCH AND RESCUE NOT MISSING - On 08/27/2023 at approximately 1:00 P.M., marine deputies were dispatched to a water rescue on the Willamette River and MP 127. Once they arrived on scene they saw a male holding onto a log struggling to keep himself above water. The male had a white stand-up paddle board attached to his right leg by an ankle strap. The paddle board was submerged under the tree pulling the male under water. The male was able to cut the ankle brace with a knife by himself, that was given to him by a deputy because they were unable to get to a position to cut it themselves safely due to the river current. Once the male was free from the paddle board, deputies threw him a throwable floatation device attached to a rope and brought him to shore safely. Once the male was on shore they asked him if he needed medical attention in which he stated he did not. The male and his friend were transported to Hyak park for their vehicle.
TOW, HAZARD - On August 26, 2023, at about 8:30 PM, deputies were driving west on Highway 20 near MP 5 where they saw a van parked in the middle of a driveway in the 4400 block of NE Highway 20. The van was deemed a hazard and towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023, deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of SW Western Blvd and SW Grove St, Corvallis, and arrested the driver, Jeffery Paul, 29, for a Felony arrest Warrant. He was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On August 15th, 2023, at about 2:15 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 32300 block of Gerding Lane in Philomath, Oregon, for a report of suspicious circumstances. A resident mistook an unmarked delivery driver as a trespasser on his property. The resident was provided education on handling the situation if it arises again.
On Sunday, Aug. 27, Ryan Luc Rouyer, (22) of Albany, was arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving.
On Sunday, Aug. 27, Sarah Annette Medlock (37) of Corvallis, was arrested for DUII Drugs.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On August 26, 2023 at around 9:50 am, deputies were dispatched to the 32000 block of Fern Rd for a reported abandoned moped on the property. The reporter took deputies to where the moped was located and helped remove it from the property. It was later put into evidence as found property.
WARRANT ARREST - On 8/26/2023 at approximately 4:25 am, Dean Richard Hicks (50) of Albany, was cited in lieu of custody on an Albany Municipal Court and Linn County Circuit Court warrant on Bellfountain Rd. near Holiday Ln.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 25, 2023, at 6:26 PM, deputies stopped Kile Elder, 28, on SW B Avenue near SW 5th Street in Corvallis for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device. Elder had a confirmed warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for Reckless Driving, No Bail. Elder initially locked the doors and refused to exit the vehicle when deputies told him he was under arrest. Elder had a caution warning for prior history of resisting arrest. After about 10 minutes of talking to him and utilizing De-Escalation Tactics, deputies were able to get Elder to exit the vehicle. Elder was ultimately issued a new court date and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 25, 2023, at 3:42 PM, deputies responded to Parole and Probation for a warrant service. Regina Frier, 53, arrived to meet with her Probation Officer and had three confirmed warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court for her arrest. Deputies issued Frier a new court date.
DWS MIS - On August 25, 2023 at about 1:05 pm, deputies stopped Heather Leann Johnson, 34, for illegal display of license plates in the parking lot of Corvallis Family Medicine. Johnson was DWS-Misdemeanor and was cited for DWS-Misdemeanor, Driving Uninsured and Illegal Display of Plates.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On August 24, 2023, at 10:47 PM, deputies contacted Ronald McLaughlin, 53, at the Linn County Jail. Deputies cited Ronald for False Information/ DWS-Misdemeanor and Failure to Carry and present a DL in relation to another case. Deputies also cited Ronald for False Information and DWS Misdemeanor in relation to an additional case.
HARASSMENT - On August 24, 2023, Deputies spoke with a female regarding an encounter with two men on Dike Road in Monroe. The female could not identify the men but stated they accused her of being a thief and told her they would kill her and her son. Deputies attempted to locate the involved vehicles without success.
LITTERING - On August 21, 2023, an abandoned transient camp was located underneath the bridge over Oak Creek on SW 35th Street in Corvallis between Western Blvd and SW Washington St. Deputies checked the camp on successive days without locating anyone. There are personal items left behind and a small amount of used toilet paper at the location. The items will end up in the Oak Creek waterway once fall rains begin.
PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE – On August 24, 2023 a dog owner living in the 19200 block of South Mountain Road in Alsea was issued a citation for her dog running at large, onto he neighbor`s property and trying to attack their dog. This is the second citation issued to this owner in the past 6 weeks.
RUNAWAY JUVENILE - On August 21, 2023 at around 12:29 pm, deputies were dispatched to a reported runaway in the 25300 block of Dawson Rd. The runaway was later contacted nearby and returned to her residence.
FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On Sunday, August 20, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop on Duniway at the Domain Apartments. The male driver initially refused to identify himself. The male was later identified. After a lengthy conversation the male was told he could be on his way and was issued no citations.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On August 19, 2023, deputies responded to NE Pettibone Drive and Independence Road for a vehicle abandoned on the shoulder of the road near the intersection. Deputies attempted to contact the registered owner but were unsuccessful. Deputies had posted the vehicle with a tow notice 24 hours prior and the vehicle was subsequently towed.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On August 18, 2023 at 10:16 am, a female called 911 to report an incident that occurred on HWY 34 near MP 51. They reported Margaret Ann Lewis, 34, stopped her car in the middle of the road and approached her vehicle. An argument ensued where Lewis struck the female in the chin. Lewis was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct II.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On August 18, 2023 at 8:53 am, deputies were dispatched to the NE Pettibone near NW Independence HWY for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies observed a red Toyota Camry parked on the south shoulder of Pettibone. The vehicle had been there for at least two days, and both passenger side windows were broken out. Deputies were unable to contact the registered owner and tagged the vehicle with a 24hr tow notice.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On 7/28/2023, deputies spoke with a resident about someone damaging her mailbox the night before. She last saw the mailbox intact at 7:00 PM the night before, and saw it was damaged today around 3:30 PM. She has no suspect information.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL - On Sunday, June 25, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 35100 block of Lillian Drive, Philomath for a domestic disturbance that occurred the night prior. Deputies spoke with the person reporting who stated her adopted juvenile son had hit her in the shoulder during an altercation. After speaking to all involved parties, deputies issued the juvenile a criminal citation for Harassment.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, June 5, 2023, at approximately 1:30 PM, deputies responded to the 27100 block of Stow Pit Road, Monroe for a report of a Dodge truck abandoned on the edge of the road. Deputies contacted the Colin Levi Reeves, 27, the Dodge owner, and arranged a tow for the Dodge to his family`s house. Reeves was arrested on a Linn County warrant for Probation Violation DUII. At the Linn County Jail`s request, Reeves was issued a citation in lieu of custody and released.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE - On August 24, 2023 at 8:00 am, deputies spoke with a male who reported the theft of a 5-gallon yellow diesel can from the bed of his pickup parked at the Monroe Fire Station.
HARASSMENT - On August 21, 2023, at around 8:40 pm, deputies were dispatched to contact by phone a resident in the 35500 block of Johnstone Drive. The caller later reported he received a strange threatening phone call that he was worried was coming from the individuals who had a stalking order against his daughter. The caller wanted a case number in order to trace the phone number with his phone provider.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 23, 2023 at about 12:03 pm, deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle traffic crash on Smith Loop (north) about .25 miles east of HWY 99W. A driver was operating a Bluebird School Bus eastbound on Smith Loop. The other driver was operating a Fendt 724 Vario Farm Tractor, towing a 33ft roller trailer, westbound on Smith Loop. As the vehicles met, the trailer collided with the rear of the bus. Deputies assisted with an information exchange.
PERMITTING A DOG IN ESTRUS TO BE AT LARGE – On August 22, 2023, two Great Pyraneese dogs were at large in the 36000 block of Norton Creek Road in Blodgett. The dogs were witnessed to be at large chasing domestic ducks at one residence and in with goats and sheep at another residence. The owner of the dogs has been located.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT; ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY - On August 22, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 29800 block of Camp Adair Road, Monmouth for a motor vehicle crash, semi-truck vs. car, with reported injuries. On arrival deputies witnessed a red 2022 Kenworth with an attached trailer facing east, and 2000 Ford Focus facing southwest off the road in the ditch. The driver of the car, James Smith, 28, was transported to GSER to be treated for injuries sustained. Smith was later arrested on a warrant and released with a new court date along with several violation citations. The driver of the truck refused medical attention and later left the scene once the investigation was complete. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
RECKLESS BURNING - On August 21, 2023, around 8:30PM, deputies were dispatched to a possible brush fire on 53rd Street, near milepost 2, Corvallis. It was reported a female had lit something on fire on the roadway near a dry field. When deputies arrived to the scene, they did not see anything on fire. Deputies contacted a female who had started the fire. She said she had lit a napkin on fire to, "beautify her face," with the smoke. She said she lit the napkin on fire in a shovel that was located near her cart. Deputies transported the female to the intersection of 4th and Jackson with her belongings and she was warned about the statute of limitations for Reckless Burning.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, August 20, 2023, at approximately 8:23 pm, deputies were dispatched to a welfare check in the 2100 block of SW 53rd Street. A female was seen walking in and out of the roadway. Deputies contacted Alice P. Jones, 56, who was making her way to a nearby church. She had warm clothes, had eaten and drank water recently, and had a plan for where she was going for the night. Deputies cited Alice for an Albany Municipal Court warrant and made sure she was walking on the correct side of the road for the direction she was travelling.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, August 18, 2023, at approximately 11:17 pm, deputies stopped a red Mitsubishi Eclipse in the Takena Landing parking lot at 600 Highway 20 NW. Deputies arrested Heather N. Gawn, 30, on a warrant for a Probation Violation. Deputies transported Heather to the Linn County Jail.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Saturday, August 12, 2023, at approximately 8:23 pm, deputies were dispatched to an argument in the 600 block of Orchard Street. A male walked onto the property and tried to fight with the resident. Deputies arrested Ryan M. Cantu, 29, for Disorderly Conduct II and Trespass II.
ELUDE VEHICLE - On August 5, 2023, at about 1:30 AM, deputies had a motorcycle eluded them on Gibson Hill Road near Crocker Lane. Deputies pursed the vehicle before discontinuing on Springhill Drive after the Motorcycle turned onto a farm and started riding through fields. The motorcycle was not located after a perimeter was set, drone was deployed, and K9 was deployed. At this time, deputies have no information for suspects or information of the motorcycle.
DOG AT LARGE - On August 22, 2023, at around 5:40 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 36300 block of Norton Creek Rd for a dog at large. A resident reported finding two dogs running around his property. He was able to capture one of the dogs, a large Anatolian Shepard-like dog. Deputies later transported the dog to Heartland Humane Society.
ANIMAL OTHER – On August 22, 2023 a deceased German Shepherd dog was reported to be in a ditch on Kiger Island road. The dog was an intact male, no collar no microchip.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On 08/21/2023 at approximately 6:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 34 and Botkin Road for a report of found property. Deputies located a large gold container of a deceased individuals ashes and returned them to the next of kin.
ANIMAL OTHER - Deputies took an informational report regarding a deceased cat. On August 19, 2023 a house cat was found deceased in a yard in the 20800 block of Blodgett Road, Blodgett. The owner thought the cat died in a suspicious manor.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On August 21, 2023 at around 7:04 am, deputies were dispatched to the 2700 block of SW 53rd St, for a reported female with no pants on. The female did have shorts on when they contacted her.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Sunday, August 20, 2023, at approximately 8:00 AM, deputies contacted Ahmed Hasham Youssef, 24, in a tent on private property near NE Highway 20 milepost 1. Youssef was arrested and issued citations for Criminal Trespass 2 and Possession of Methamphetamine Violation and released.
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On August 16, 2023, around 6:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a caller in regard to a theft of gasoline in the 3800 block of Highway 20, Corvallis. The caller reported an unknown male siphoned gasoline out of a work truck. The caller said there was camera footage of a male walking onto the property near where the work truck was and leave a short time later. The video is poor and the only thing that can be ascertained is there was a person that was on the property.
On Friday, Aug. 18, Josue Hernandez Diaz (29) of Corvallis, was arrested for DUII.
On Sunday, Aug. 20, Daniel Earl Huey (60) of Vancouver, WA, was arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving.
On Tuesday, Aug. 22, Ethan Scott Oleman (18) of Philomath, was arrested for DUII Drugs.
DOG AT LARGE - On Sunday, August 20, 2023, at approximately 9:50 AM, deputies responded to the area near 435 Quarry Road NW, Albany for a dog at large. Deputies transported the dog to Heartland Humane Society, where it was turned over to staff after no owner information could be found.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 19, 2023, at around 5:30 am, deputies were dispatched to Lobster Valley Rd near milepost #1 for a reported single-vehicle crash. Deputies arrived and located a gray 2016 Nissan Altima on its top and unoccupied. Deputies later contacted the owner who stated her son fell asleep and crashed. The male was not injured in the crash and they coordinated their own tow.
POSS FENTANYL; PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT; FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER - Timothy Lee Smith (38) of Prineville, was arrested for a Parole Violation warrant, False Info to a Police Officer, and felony possession of Fentanyl after providing a fake name and running into the woods north of Highway 20 near milepost 37. He was located approximately 1/2 mile into the woods hiding 15-20 feet up a fir tree.
ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT – On August 18, 2023, 11:05 a.m., deputies transported a stray dog from the 5200 block of NW Dumbeck to the Heartland Humane Society where he was impounded. The dog was an adult, neutered male Goldendoodle.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On August 16, 2023, at around 6:58 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Main Street, Alsea for a suspicious person. A caller reported a man known to the community tried to lure his juvenile son and juvenile nephew while they were playing along the river. Deputies later determined the children were afraid by the man`s drug-fueled behavior, but no crime occurred. Deputies spoke to the man and told him that his appearance and behavior scared the children.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at about 7:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to Hoskins Road near Alexander Road for a single-vehicle crash. Deputies arrived and observed a blue 2014 Subaru Impreza crashed off the south side of the roadway. Deputies spoke with the driver who stated she got into soft gravel coming around the corner and spun out off the roadway.
ANIMAL OTHER - August 16, 2023 10:32 a.m., deputies transported a stray cat from the Benton County courthouse to the Heartland Humane Society where she was impounded. The cat was a senior adult, domestic medium-haired black and white cat.
DOG BITE – On August 15, 2023, a dog residing in the 200 block of NW Kouns Drive in Albany was placed on a ten-day quarantine. The dog bit the resident’s landlord.
THEFT 1 - On August 15th, 2023, at about 10:23 am, deputies were dispatched to a report of a stolen trailer from the intersection of Northwest Concord Drive and Northwest Sulphur Springs Road in Corvallis, Oregon. The Trailer was parked at the intersection on August 11th, 2023, and a crew from a construction company came to pick up the trailer on the 15th, and it had been stolen.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER; RECKLESS DRIVING - On August 14, 2023, at around 5:27 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 2600 block of NW Westminster Way for a reported hit and run. A male reported that an unknown person drove a white Dodge Ram into his garage door, damaging it. Deputies were unable to read the license plate. Unknown suspects.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 08/14/2023 at approximately 5:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Independence Highway and Ryals Avenue in Adair for a non-injury crash. Both involved drivers remained at the scene and did not have any injuries. Neither driver was issued a citation.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 14th, 2023, at about 12:15 pm, Tristian Brinkley, 25, was arrested at the "tree farm" near First Congressional Church at 4515 SW West Hills Road in Corvallis, Oregon, in Benton County. Brinkley had a confirmed Fail to Appear warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court. Brinkley was criminally cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 14, 2023, at approximately 1:00 PM, deputies were patrolling Takena Landing, Benton County, Oregon where they recognized Mary Chadwick, 32. Chadwick was later arrested on a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court and a warrant out of Mill City Municipal Court, both for failure to appear on previous charges. Chadwick was issued citations in lieu of custody with court dates for her respective warrants.
BURGLARY 2 - On August 14, 2023, at around 11:24 am, deputies were dispatched to the 2900 block of Mount Union Ave for a reported burglary of a storage shed. A metal 5-gallon gas can was taken. No suspect information.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, August 14, 2023, at approximately 10:00 AM, deputies contacted Anthony Lund, 53, in his tent on the bank of the Willamette River near NE Highway 20 milepost 1. Lund was later arrested on an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for a parole violation. Lund was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged on his warrant.
VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT - On August 14th, 2023, at about 10:20 am, Ahman Youssef, 24, was arrested at the "tree farm" near First Congressional Church at 4515 SW West Hills Road in Corvallis, Oregon, in Benton County. Yousseff was in violation of a release agreement out of Benton County Oregon. Yousseff was transported and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On August 14, 2023, at approximately 8:50 AM, deputies responded to Pettibone Road, Corvallis for a hit and run that occurred the previous night. A resident told deputies her husband saw their garbage bins had been knocked over and one had been damaged heavily. The resident said they would contact Republic Services to get their garbage bins replaced. Deputies provided the resident with the case number and searched the area for houses with cameras that may have captured an image of the vehicle but found none.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, August 13, at approximately 6:45 pm, deputies arrived in the 200 block of W Main Street in Alsea to attempt a warrant service. Taylor A. Fox, 28, was arrested on multiple Linn County warrants and an Albany Municipal warrant.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, August 13, 2023, at approximately 3:05 PM, deputies responded to the area of milepost 7 of South Fork Road in Benton County for a Toyota Tacoma that rolled over off the road. The driver was uninjured, and the vehicle was recovered and towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 12th, 2023 at about 3:12 pm, deputies observed Brett McLaughlin, 51, driving a Chevy HHR. Dispatch advised that McLaughlin was DWS-Violation through Oregon DMV. Dispatch also advised McLaughlin had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Linn County Circuit Court in Albany. Deputies cited McLaughlin for the DWS and released him on a new citation to appear for FTA-Contempt. He was released after being cited.
LITTERING - On Saturday, August 12, 2023, at approximately 7:45 AM, deputies contacted a resident by phone in regard to someone dumping a mattress and couch cushions in his driveway on NE Nebergal Loop, Albany sometime between the evening of August 11 and the morning of August 12. There were no cameras in the area and no identifying information among the refuse.
DEPOSIT TRASH W/IN 100YD WATER - On 08/11/2023 at approximately 4:15 p.m. Deputies contacted Jarod Wilson on the island across from the Crystal Lake Sports Park boat launch, in the Willamette River. Wilson advised deputies that he had been camping on the island for the entire summer. Jarod has been contacted multiple times by deputies this summer and has been told he is not allowed to reside on the island, and that he needed to move to a legal spot. Deputies observed multiple bottles, and cans spread out along the shore near his camp. Deputies cited Jarod for (ORS 164.775) Deposit of trash within 100 yards of a waterway.
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER; WARRANT ARREST - On 8/11/2023 at 1:25 am, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2018 Ford pickup for multiple traffic violations on Independence Hwy near Camp Adair Rd. Megan Striplin (26) and Chase Kuske (32) were both criminally cited for Albany and Lebanon Municipal Court warrants. Additionally, Kuske was criminally cited for failing to register as a sex offender (felony).
WARRANT ARREST - On August 11, 2023 at about 1:00 AM, deputies responded to the area of NW Concord Drive and NW Worden Circle for a possible prowler. Deputies contacted Gregory Burns, 46, a transient, who stated that he had been walking all afternoon and had gotten turned around believing he was walking toward the city of Corvallis. Burns stated he was confronted in the driveway of a Concord address and moved along. Burns had several warrants out for his arrest and was taken into custody. Burns was transported to the jail where he was lodged and the Concord residents declined to have him arrested for trespassing.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 9, 2023, just after 9:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 33600 block of Mary`s River Estates Road for a motor vehicle crash. It was reported that a work truck had rolled over on the property and two people had crawled out. Deputies were informed that there were no reported injuries. The driver crashed his vehicle into a hay barn after having issues with his brakes.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 9, 2023 at about 1:45 AM, deputies observed Justin O`Keefe, 24, walking into a convenience store in the 2000 block of NW Circle Blvd. Deputies knew O`Keefe from prior interactions and knew that he had a warrant for his arrest. Deputies observed that he was in possession of a knife and 11 suspected fentanyl pills.
FORGERY 2 - On August 8, 2023, around 4:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident about a check from her business being fraudulently cashed. The resident reported a check she had mailed to a vendor had been cashed, but not by the vendor she had mailed it to. She said she did not want to have an investigation into this, only to have the money refunded to her bank which required a case number.
MAIL THEFT - On August 8th, 2023, at about 12:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Post Office in Monroe for a theft report that occurred between 9:30 pm the night prior and 4:30 am the day of the 8th. There were no cameras or suspects at this time.
SIFTING, LEAKING LOAD - On Monday, August 7, 2023, deputies located a truck called into Dispatch for dropping a large item out of its trailer while traveling westbound on NE Highway 20. The caller`s vehicle was struck by debris and needed assistance contacting the driver to collect insurance information. Both vehicles stopped at the gravel lot at Camp Adair Road and Independence Highway, Benton County where the driver of the truck was cited for a sifting/leaking load, and the driver of the following vehicle was provided with the truck`s driver and insurance information.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Sunday, August 6, 2023, at approximately 4:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to contact a store owner in the 6020 block of NE William R Carr Street, Adair Village in regard to a suspicious vehicle in their parking lot taking photographs of their business. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as a male of Corvallis, returned to the scene and was confronted by the manager. The male told the manager he was documenting businesses along Highway 99W.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, August 6, 2023, deputies were on patrol near Avery Park, Corvallis when they observed a gold Honda roll through a stop sign at the intersection of Avery Boulevard and Allen Street. An occupant of the vehicle was later identified as Curtis Dorman, 20, who had a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for FTA for a traffic offense. Dorman was issued a citation in lieu of custody and released.
THEFT 2 - On Sunday, August 8, 2023, at approximately 8:45 AM, deputies contacted a caller in regard to a generator being stolen from their 4-H campsite at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Corvallis, Oregon. The caller provided information about the generator and was given a case number.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 08/04/2023 while assisting with a structure fire in the 1500 block of Applegate Street, a Philomath Police Department police vehicle was struck by a responding Alsea Rural Fire Department vehicle. The police vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the low-speed crash and no one was injured.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 4, 2023 at about 12:30 AM, deputies observed Amanda Binks, 30, backed into a parking spot near Hickory St and North Albany Rd. They also observed that she had several warrants out for her arrest. Binks was issued citations for the following warrants before being released in the field. Albany municipal warrant for FTA Larceny, $6250 bail; Lebanon municipal warrant for Larceny and Theft II, $10,000 bail; and Sweet Home Municipal for FTA- Larceny, $6250 bail.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On August 2, 2023, around 7:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a female about a reckless driving incident earlier in the day. The female reported a male got out of his vehicle at the stop light at Highway 20 and Springhill Drive and wanted to fight her. The female provided an Oregon license plate belonging to a Chevy Cruze. The female said she did not want to have the male cited. Deputies spoke with the male and obliged him with verbal counseling.
UUV; POSS STOLEN VEHICLE - On 8/1/2023 at 2:27 am, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a stolen 2015 Toyota Prius on 3rd St. near Twin Oaks. After further investigation, Lydia Sandoval (45) of Corvallis was arrested for UUV and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. She was booked and released at the jail.
On Thursday, Aug. 10, Wayne Allen Coelho (30) of Albany, was arrested for DUII Drugs and Reckless Driving.
On Saturday, Aug 12, Israel Huerta-Carrera (21) of Albany, was arrested for DUII.
On Saturday, Aug. 12, Michael Dean Breaux (43) of Eugene, was arrested for DUII.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 8th, 2023, at about 11:49 am, deputies arrested Lisa Borden, 37, in the 600 block of Main Street in Philomath, Oregon. Borden had a warrant for Failure to Appear warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court. Borden was criminally cited and released.
CRIMINAL SIMULATION - On August 8th, 2023, at about 10:15 am, deputies were dispatched to the 20700 block of Yewwood Lane in Alsea, Oregon, for a report of fraud. A resident reported that an unknown person filed a fraudulent unemployment claim in her name. The resident has frozen her accounts and flagged her credit.
IDENTITY THEFT - On August 7th, 2023, at approximately 1:40 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 25300 block of Alsea Deadwood Highway in Alsea, Oregon, for a report of identity theft. A resident reported a fraudulent loan taken out in her farm`s name. The resident was given the correct steps in reporting the fraudulent loan
WARRANT ARREST - On August 10, 2023, at 10:26 PM, deputies stopped Christofer Cavender, 41, on Main Street near 19th Street in Philomath for no trailer lights and an unsecured load. Cavender had a confirmed warrant out of Marion County Circuit Court for Domestic Violence/ Assault IV, warrant, no bail. Deputies transported Cavender to the Benton County Jail.
SEARCH AND RESCUE NOT MISSING - On 08/10/2023 at approximately 2:20 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a water rescue near bowman park boat launch. Marine deputies arrived and found a female upriver from the boat launch and she was transported back to the Bowman Park boat launch and released to her family.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 10, 2023, at 2:02 PM, deputies stopped Brett McLaughlin, 51, on Western Boulevard in Corvallis for no license plate. McLaughlin was driving while suspended violation and did not have an ignition interlock device installed. McLaughlin additionally had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Contempt of Court, no bail. McLaughlin was cited on the warrant and for all traffic violations.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On August 10, 2023 at 9:49 am, deputies were dispatched to the 6300 block of SW Reservoir Ave. A caller reported a possible burglary of a storage unit. Deputies responded and arrested Brandy Lynn Sandoval for Theft 3.
WARRANT ARREST; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 9, 2023 at 2:58 pm, deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle traffic crash on HWY 20 at NE Granger Ave. The 1st driver was eastbound on NE Granger Ave, stopped at the stop sign on HWY 20. He attempted to turn left (eastbound onto HWY 20) but a westbound semi-truck in the turn lane blocked a clear view of westbound traffic. The 1st driver pulled out in front of a 2nd driver, who was westbound on HWY 20. The vehicles collided in the westbound lane of travel. Janessa Rae Johnson, 19, was a passenger in the 1st vehicle and had a confirmed Linn County Circuit Court warrant for FTA-DUII. Deputies issued Johnson a new court date for the warrant. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to damages.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 8/9/23 AT APPROXIMATELY 2:16 AM, KIRKPATRICK, CASUN, 28, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH ST ON A WARRANT FOR FTA BURG, KIRKPATRICK WAS GIVEN A NEW COURT DATE TO APPEAR.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 8, 2023, MENDEZ, Demetrius, 51, turned himself in at our front door of the jail at around 4:54 pm, for a FTA warrant for driving while suspended or revoked. He was given a court date and released.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at approximately 12:00 P.M., deputies spoke with a resident regarding a possible identity theft. She said she was notified by a bank that someone may have stolen her password and login information for her account. The account was locked, the resident changed the password, and she has not lost any money. The bank suspects someone was able to clone her phone number. The resident wanted it documented in case it happened in the future or she ended up losing money.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at about 12:30 AM, deputies contacted a male and female at Takena Landing Park and informed them they were trespassing. The female and male both provided their information when asked. One was warned for trespass and was not wanted. The male, Joshua Hughes, 21, returned with three confirmed warrants through Linn County Justice Court, Albany Municipal Court, and Lebanon Municipal Court. Joshua was cited and released on all his warrants and warned for trespass.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 7, 2023, Crawford, Jared, 29, came to the front door of the jail for 3 FTA warrants for Burg 2, Theft 2, Tres 2 x 2, Attempted Com Class C felony Burg 2, Theft 3, Attempted Comm Class A felony Burg 1, Attempted Comm Class A Misd Tres 1, Burg 2, Theft 1 & Crim Misch 3.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, August 7, 2023, at about 3:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash at Highway 20, and Highway 180. One driver was traveling east on Highway 20 and crashed into the rear of another. The second driver was issued a citation for following too closely.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, August 6, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 20 and Lone Star Road for a reported non-injury motor vehicle crash. After getting information from the involved parties, one driver hit a deer that had been on the highway causing abrupt braking, leading to the second vehicle making an impact with the first. Both parties were seen and cleared by medics and were able to drive their vehicles from the scene.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On August 5th, 2023 at about 8:34 am, deputies were dispatched to a report of a crash in a front yard in the 700 block of NW Lewisburg Ave. Corvallis. When deputies arrived, they spoke to the driver who said she was the driver of the truck. She said she was eastbound on Lewisburg Ave when a vehicle traveling southbound on Mt. View turned in front of her. She said as the vehicle turned in front of her, she veered to the left to avoid running into the other vehicle, drove into a yard, and stopped after running over some small tree limbs and a hedge. No one was injured in the crash. There was no damage to the truck.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On August 4, 2023, at about 10:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a hit and run on Highway 20 near milepost 1. A driver reported while he was driving east on Highway 20, he had a vehicle sideswipe his 2016 Chrysler Pacifica after he moved into the left-hand turn lane near HP. The only description of the vehicle was possibly a white Jeep Cherokee with a light bar.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 3, 2023 at about 2:00 AM, deputies observed Emily Sather, 41, going through bags in front of people`s yards in the 99 block of NW Linden Ave. Deputies knew Sather had warrants so they stopped her and issued her citations for: County Circuit Court warrant FTA- Theft no bail.
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER - On Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023 at approximately 4:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to the parole and probation lobby located at 180 NW 5th Street, Corvallis, to assist a probation officer with the arrest of her client, Marcos Romauldo-Salgado, 41.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On July 31, 2023, at about 12:45 pm, deputies responded to the intersection of North 9th Street and Heritage Hills Drive in Philomath, Oregon, for a single-vehicle crash. A driver crashed his motorcycle after negotiating a corner and was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for minor injuries.
WARRANT ARREST - On 7/30/23 at approximately 9:55 pm Yraz, Austyns, 26, had an active warrant out of Clackamas County for FTA theft 2. The warrant was served on YRAZ who was located at the Benton County Jail, 190 NW 4th st, Corvallis.
RESISTING ARREST; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1; WARRANT ARREST; FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER - On July 27, 2023, around 6:15 PM, deputies were on foot patrol in the 1700 block of Four Acre Place Corvallis. Matthew Edward Maloney, 42, was arrested for his warrants and for Criminal Trespass 1, Resisting Arrest, and False Info. Maloney was transported to the Linn County Jail.
On Friday, Aug. 4, Basil Andrew Polivka (31) of North Carolina, was arrested for DUII.
On Friday, Aug. 4, Jeffery Scott Adams (43) of Lebanon, was arrested for DUII, Reckless Driving, DWS-Misdemeanor, Fail to Carry or Present, and Resisting Arrest.
On Thursday, Aug. 3, Carrson Douglas Smith (37) of Corvallis, was arrested for DUII, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Trespass II, and Disorderly Conduct II.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Saturday, August 5, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop on Territorial Highway just north of milepost two on a red 1992 GMC Sierra 2500 for a speeding violation. Deputies contacted the driver, Jonathan Rosene, 20, who deputies later learned had a fail-to-appear contempt of court warrant through Lebanon Municipal Court. Deputies issued Jonathan a citation in Lieu of custody for the warrant and provided him with a new court date/time. Deputies also issued Jonathan a citation for driving while suspended violation.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE - On Friday, August 4, 2023, at approximately 11:41 pm, deputies were flagged down at the Benton County Fairgrounds at 110 SW 53rd Street. A patron of the fair had a tackle box, a bag with fishing gear, and a purse stolen from his vehicle.
BCSO ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT - On 08/04/2023 at approximately 5:00 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 1900 block of NW Jackson Creek Road in Corvallis for a found dog. While deputies were at the residence, the dog`s owner arrived and retrieved the dog.
DWS MIS; FAIL RETURN SUSP DL - On Friday, August 4, 2023, at about 12:45 am, deputies stopped a silver Dodge Ram pickup on NE Pilkington Avenue near Highway 20 in Corvallis for committing multiple traffic violations. Deputies later arrested the driver, Greg Alan Eickmann, 41, for DWS-Misdemeanor and Failure to Return a Suspended License. Eickman was cited in lieu of custody and was taken from the scene by a valid driver.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 3, 2023, Marty Dorland, 58, was cited at the jail on a warrant for FTA Theft 2.
FAIL TO APPEAR- ENCH WARRANT - On Thursday, August 3, 2023 at approximately 8:30 am, HYRE, Tarah Lyn, 35, turned herself in at the Benton County Jail on a warrant for having failed to appear at court. Hyre was given new court dates to appear.
DWS MIS - On 08/02/2023 at approximately 9:46 pm, deputies stopped a Yellow 2005 Ford Focus on Philomath Boulevard for impeding traffic. The vehicle was traveling 12 miles per hour on Philomath Boulevard holding up traffic. Deputies identified the driver as James Wenzell, 44, who is misdemeanor suspended. Deputies issued Wenzell a criminal citation in lieu of custody for DWS Misdemeanor.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at approximately 4:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 39300 block of Luckiamute Road, Philomath, for a report of a mailbox that was just damaged intentionally. No suspect leads were established.
FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD - On August 1st, 2023, at about 2:02 pm, deputies were dispatched to a report of fraud. An Alsea resident reported she received a scam call from someone reporting to be Chase Bank. The resident accidentally authorized access to her bank account. All accounts have been frozen.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On August 1st, 2023, at about 11:29 am, deputies were dispatched to the 6800 block of SW West Hills Road in Corvallis, Oregon, for a suspicious vehicle report. A red motorcycle was parked at the end of the driveway earlier that morning and hadn`t moved since. Deputies contacted the owner of the motorcycle, and he informed me that the throttle cable had broken, and he was trying to find a way to transport it back to his house.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 31, 2023, LAHODNY, AMATHIST JAMEY DANYEL reported to BCJ due to a warrant that was issued from Benton Circuit Court. The warrant was confirmed and served.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On Saturday, July 29, 2023, at approximately 8:30 AM, deputies responded to the 8800 block of NE Highway 20, Corvallis for a single-vehicle crash. The driver had no apparent injuries and was transported by family members for medical evaluation while the vehicle was towed from the scene.
RESISTING ARREST; PAROLE VIOLATION; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Friday, July 28, 2023, at about 4:30 pm, deputies arrested Kevin Emanuel Quintero-Serrano, 27, in the Benton County Parole and Probation office at the request of his supervisor, Deputy Johnson, after he made violent threats toward office staff. Quintero-Serrano resisted arrest and was subsequently placed in a WRAP restraint. Quintero- Serrano was lodged in the Benton County Jail on charges of parole violation, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On Monday, July 24, 2023, at about 7:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to locate a reckless driver on Granger Avenue near Highway 99 in Corvallis. A female reported seeing a black Ford Expedition repeatedly leaving its lane, driving at inconsistent speeds, and passing in a no-passing zone on Highway 20 and Granger Avenue. Deputies later arrested the driver of the Expedition, Ivon Liset Frias-Zaragosa, for Reckless Driving. Frias-Zaragosa was issued a citation in lieu of custody and released.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER; ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On July 23rd, 2023 at about 5:40 am, deputies came upon a single-vehicle crash on Hwy 99W in the 5300 block of 3rd Street. There was no one in the vehicle when they found it. Deputies later located the driver just to the south of Payne Road coming out of a line of trees on the east side of Hwy 99W. Deputies cited the driver for Fail to Perform the Duties of a Driver (ORS 811.700) for leaving the scene of a crash with property damage.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at approximately 9:30 A.M., deputies called and spoke with a female about who she believed was her brother, trespassing on her property in the 24700 block of Evergreen Road. The female believed he had left a note on her property despite being trespassed. Deputies were unable to prove that he had actually been on the property and have not been able to locate him.
ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT - On Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at approximately 7 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 35300 block of Blitz lane, Blodgett for a report of a dog in custody. Deputies transported a medium size brown collie mix to Heartland Humane Society.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On 08/02/2023 at approximately 8:28 pm, deputies checked the area of Evergreen Road near milepost 1 for a white truck associated with a male, littering rubbish. THEFT 3 SHOPLIFT - On August 2, 2023, at 3:13 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of NW 53rd Street in Corvallis for a shoplift. A male attempted to take 4 cans of Bud light beer from the store. The store was able to get the beer back from him but wanted him trespassed. Deputies contacted the male at his residence and informed him he was trespassed from the store and would be arrested if he returns.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at about 3:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to Monroe for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies arrived and located the vehicle in a park near 951 Main Street. After speaking with the occupants, deputies determined that no crimes were committed.
THEFT 1 - On August 2, 2023, I spoke with a female about a fraudulent purchase through Verizon on her family`s business account. The female reported two iPhone 14 pro max phones were purchased in Bee Cave, Texas on July 27, 2023. The female is working with Verizon to have the charges reversed.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - At about 7:55 pm on August 1, 2023, deputies arrived at a motorcycle crash on NE Highway 20 near NE Walker Lane, Albany. A driver was westbound on Highway 20 when he described the front tire on his 2022 Suzuki motorcycle locking up. The driver then had a high-speed wobble and crashed the motorcycle. He was transported by Albany EMT`s to Corvallis GSH ER.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER; WARRANT ARREST; OBSTRUCT GOV/JUDICIAL ADMIN - On July 28, 2023, at 2:46 AM, deputies observed Gregory Arnold, 56, about to break into a vehicle on NW Polk Avenue near NW 5th Steet in Corvallis. A female was acting as his lookout at the time. Arnold lied about his name and attempted to flee on foot. Arnold was taken into custody and transported to the Benton County Jail. Arnold had a confirmed warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Criminal Trespass I. Arnold was charged with False Information, Interfering and Obstruction.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 25th, 2023 at about 3:30 AM, deputies were patrolling the area of Hickory St. NW and North Albany Rd when they observed a vehicle backed into a stall at the park and ride. Deputies subsequently arrested Jacob Sokol, 47, and Christina Sawyer, 44, for outstanding warrants. Sawyer was cited and Sokol was lodged at the Benton County Jail.

ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 2nd, 2023 at about 1:25 A.M., deputies happened upon a traffic crash on Highway 99W near Ryals Avenue. The driver struck a deer in the roadway in his 2023 Kia Sportage. He was not injured.
ANIMAL OTHER – On August 1, 2023, deputies transported a deceased cat from Hwy 20/Rainwater Lane in Albany to the Heartland Humane Society. The cat was an adult intact male. He was a large domestic shorthaired cat.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On July 28, 2023, deputies spoke with a driver over the phone after he hit a deer while riding his 2011 Harley Davidson on NE Highway 20 near NE Garden Avenue. The driver told deputies he was riding to work that morning when the car in front of him hit a deer. The deer flew over the car and he hit the deer damaging his motorcycle.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Tuesday, July 25, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the report of an identity theft in the 35100 block of Lillian Drive. A resident received a letter from the IRS saying someone had filed taxes under her social security number.
DWS MIS - On Monday, July 31, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a White 2007 Ford Econoline after the vehicle was observed speeding. After contacting the driver, Dustyn Manley-Johnson, 29, deputies were advised he was driving while suspended-misdemeanor. Deputies arrested Dustyn, issued him a criminal citation for DWS Misdemeanor and citations for traffic violations. Dustyn had family in route to drive his vehicle home for him and deputies departed the area.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On July 31, 2023, at about 9:47 a.m., a female came into the LEC lobby to turn in a fake United States $100 bill. The female found this in the ditch by her residence in the 6000 block of NW Vineyard Drive, Corvallis. The fake currency was copied after the early 2000`s $100, and it was a poor fake, on the incorrect paper, wrong shade of ink color, with Chinese writing stamped on it. It was an obvious fake bill, and it was destroyed and disposed of in the office shredder.
THEFT 3 FROM BUILDING - On 07/30/2023 at approximately 8:00 P.M., deputies were approached by a transient male on SW 3rd Street near Twin Oaks in Corvallis. The male wished to report that someone had stolen his gun. No suspect information is available at this time.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 28th, 2023, at about 12:16 am, deputies arrested Anthony Overholser, 37, in the 4500 block of SW West Hills Place in Corvallis. Overholser had confirmed a State Felony Warrant for a Parole Violation. Overholser was lodged in the Benton County Jail.
DOG AT LARGE - On July 26th, 2023, at about 11:03 pm, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of SW 53rd Street and SW Touchstone Place in Corvallis, Oregon, for a report of two dogs at large in the area. Deputies were able to locate the dogs but not the owner. The dogs were lodged at Heartland Humane Society for the night.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 26, 2023, around 7:45 PM, deputies were on foot patrol at the Tree Farm, near 765 53rd Street, Corvallis. Dustin Levi Brummett, 42, was contacted and had multiple warrants. Deputies transported Brummett to the Linn County Jail, where he was booked and lodged.
CONTEMPT OF COURT - On Thursday, July 27, 2023, deputies arrested Michael Robert Lester, 40, for violating his no-contact release agreement. Michael violated the following condition "Defendant shall not have any form of contact with any minor children. No frequenting any online websites to solicit sexual contact with any individuals.". Michael, in fact, had contact with a minor via email and Spotify. Michael was arrested at a residence in Salem and transported to the Benton County Jail.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; PAROLE VIOLATION - On Tuesday, July 25, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the area of NE Highway 20 and NE Conifer Blvd for a suspicious vehicle. The person reporting stated somebody drove into her driveway erratically with a red Dodge SUV. She said two people got out of the vehicle and walked west on Conifer Blvd. Deputies contacted Billy Wilson, 40, and a female on Conifer Blvd and Conser Place. After informing both parties, Billy took off running. Corvallis Police Department assisted and took Billy into custody at a separate location on Jack London Street. Deputies arrested Billy for multiple warrants and new charges and then transported to the Linn County Jail. The vehicle was later towed.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 7/30/23 AT APPROXIMATELY 9:44 PM, JAIL DEPUTIES ARRESTED YROZ-ATNIP, AUSTIN, 26, ON A WARRANT OUT OF CLACKAMAS COUNTY FOR FTA THEFT2, BAIL 35000.00.
ASSAULT 4 - On July 28, 2023 at around 6:22 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 28700 block of Dodge Island Rd for a physical disturbance between Shelly Kay Miller, 40, and another resident. Deputies later arrested Shelly for Assault IV. She was taken to the Polk County Jail and lodged.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Friday, July 28, 2023, at approximately 3:45 PM, deputies contacted an individual by phone regarding his Oregon Driver License and social security number being used to access an account of his on a government website. Deputies placed a request with the government agency managing the website for more information regarding the attempted access.
BURGLARY 2; FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE; THEFT 3 - On July 26th, 2023, deputies arrested KEVIN THOMAS MALONEY, 37, for Burglary in the second degree and Theft in the third degree after he unlawfully entered a building connected to an occupied house by a roof, and stole/consumed some food items from their freezer. The house was located in the 96500 block of Highway 99W in Junction City (Benton County), and he was later located just into Lane County along Highway 99W.
THEFT BY DECEPTION - On July 26, 2023, at around 4:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to a reported fraud in the 500 block of NW Monroe Ave. A resident reported he had sent $400 to an unknown person(s) after they called him and told him he had won the Megabucks $3 million prize but first needed him to pay taxes.
ONLINE SEXUAL CORRUPTION OF A CHILD 1 – On Monday, July 24, 2023, deputies responded in an undercover capacity to a post online. On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, Zachary Allen Moore, 20, was arrested for Online Sexual Corruption 1, after he attempted to meet a 13-year-old girl for sex. The child was an undercover deputy posing as a child. Zachary was transported to the Benton County Jail.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 07/25/23, at 1724 hours, REEVES, COLIN LEVI, 27, turned himself into the Benton County Jail for warrants out of the Benton County Circuit Court and for the Linn County Circuit Court.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On July 24, 2023, around 8:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a female about a suspicious male she encountered in the construction zone on Highway 20, near Independence Highway. The female reported a male stopped her and banged on her car window before she drove away. Deputies went and spoke to a flagger who said the female was disregarding him and he said a warning would suffice due to the circumstances. Deputies contacted the female again and discussed the importance of listening to flaggers to keep construction workers safe.
PROBATION VIOLATION - On 07/24/22, at 5:14 pm, FISHER, Austin, 30, was brought to the Benton County Jail for a Benton County Circuit Court warrant and two (2) warrants were found for Linn County Circuit Court and Albany Municipal Court. FISHER was lodged at the jail.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On Monday, July 24, 2023, at about 6:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a hit-and-run crash in the 5500 block of NW Highway 99, in Corvallis. A male reported someone hit his vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot and then left the area. Deputies later arrested Zia Elena Sichi, 54, for Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver when Property is Damaged. Sichi was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 07/24/23, at 5:17 pm, FISHER, Austin, 30, was brought to the Benton County Jail by Court security due to having a warrant out of the Benton County Circuit Court. The Benton County Circuit Court warrant was served on REEVES and he was lodged in the Benton County Jail.
FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT - On 07/24/22, at 3:51 pm, GOBER, JEDIDIAH, 41, turned himself into the Benton County Jail on a warrant out of the Benton County Circuit Court. The warrant was served on GOBER was lodged at the Jail.
PERSON < 21 POSSESSING/PURCHASING MARIJUANA - On Monday, July 24, 2023, at about 12:10 am, deputies contacted Joshua Sablan Wusstig, 18, and Ashley Ranee Campbell, 18, in North Albany Park after the park had closed. Wusstig and Campbell both acknowledged using cannabis a short time before driving to the park. Wusstig consented to field sobriety tests and was not impaired. Wusstig and Campbell were both cited for being minors in possession of cannabis and then released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 07/22/2023 at approximately 9:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Milepost 39 on Highway 34 near Alsea for a non-injury motor vehicle crash. The driver had struck a deer and was not injured. Her vehicle was later towed.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 21st, 2023, at about 12:03 am, Max Brown, 32, was arrested at Highway 99 and Elliot Circle intersection in Corvallis, for Contempt of Court out of Albany Municipal Court. Brown was criminally cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 21, 2023 at around 12:09 am, deputies contacted Kayla Ann Coshow, 23, at 600 NW Hwy 20 after the park was closed. Kayla had a confirmed Albany Muni Court warrant for Failure to Appear Trespass II. She was later issued a citation with a new court date.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On July 12, 2023, around 9:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 28300 block of Irish Bend Road for a trespass in progress. The landowner reported there was a pickup parked on his property near the river and said nobody was supposed to be on the property. He had been having issues with trespassers. Deputies contacted Kyle Ryan Giron, 34, who was subsequently arrested for Trespassing in the Second Degree.
ASSAULT 4 - On July 12, 2023, around 5:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Main Street, Alsea, for an assault. The caller reported her boyfriend had been assaulted and that the person who assaulted him had already left the scene. The reporting parties have since moved out of state and have no interest in pursuing charges.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 2, 2023 at around 5:48 pm, deputies contacted Joshua Osullivan, 28, after learning he had a parole board felony warrant. Joshua tried to run but quickly gave up. He was taken to the Linn County jail and booked.
FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD - On July 24, 2023, around 5:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Sheriff`s Office lobby to speak with a resident about fraudulent activity on his credit card. The resident said he received a call from his bank telling him a variety of purchases were made online. He said his bank was able to cancel the charges before they went through, and the credit card was canceled.
POSS METH; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; ESCAPE 3; RESISTING ARREST - On Monday, July 24, 2023, at about 4:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a suspicious person near the 3700 block of NE Highway 20 in Corvallis. Deputies later arrested Matthew Michael Walsh, 33, for Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree, Attempted Escape in the Third Degree, and Resisting Arrest. Walsh was transported to the Benton County Jail and lodged. Walsh was also issued a citation for violation possession of methamphetamine.
HARASSMENT - On Monday, July 24, 2023, at approximately 3:46 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 900 block of NW Camelia Drive for a domestic disturbance. The male resident reported being pushed down by his wife. An investigation was completed, and the male was served a restraining order.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 24, 2023, 2023, at 12:27 AM, deputies contacted Dustin Mackie, 42, on Highway 34 near milepost 1 in Corvallis after he walked up behind a parked patrol vehicle asking for a free flashlight. Mackie had a confirmed warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for Resisting Arrest, Bail $3,000. Mackie was cited and released on the warrant.
DOG BITE – On July 21, 2023 1:04 p.m., deputies transported a surrendered dog from the 26900 block of Cecil Lane in Alsea to the Heartland Humane Society where he was impounded. The dog was placed on a quarantine for biting his owner.
DWS MIS - On July 11, 2023 at about 11:45 PM, deputies stopped Zachary Shinall, 25, for expired registration at SW 3rd and Cummings Ave in Corvallis. Deputies subsequently cited and released him for DWS- misdemeanor.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On July 10, 2023 at about midnight, deputies responded to the 3800 block of NE Highway 20 Corvallis for a prowler. Deputies arrived and contacted a male with a bicycle and assorted belongings in tow. The male explained that his bicycle tire had gone flat and he was looking for something to repair it with so he approached the address on Highway 20. No crime.
On Tuesday, July 25, Eric Michael Berggren (42) of Corvallis, was arrested for DUII after a crash on NW Lewisburg Ave.
On Saturday, July 22, Nathan W Krull (32) of Massachusetts, was arrested for DUII.
THEFT 2 - On Thursday, July 20, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 6600 block of SW West Hills Road, for a reported theft of a Segway. A male left his segway at the bottom of a private driveway along the road, while he walked onto private property without permission. Whence he returned, the Segway was gone. It was a black-colored Segway mini Pro with red accents and a knee bar to steer.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On Thursday, July 20, 2023, deputies responded to the 7600 block of NE Pettibone Drive for a report of rocks being thrown at security cameras. Deputies spoke with the homeowner who stated he could not see anyone but saw the rocks flying through the air towards his cameras overlooking his backyard, via his remote viewer on his phone. Deputies did not locate anyone on the property, and I did not observe footprints, tire tracks, or any obvious sign of an intruder. The doors to the storage areas had padlocks still on them. The homeowner stated he would check for any lost or stolen items when he was home from work.
THEFT 3 - On Wednesday, July 19, 2023, deputies were dispatched to 200 SW 53rd Street, for a reported burglary. Deputies arrived and spoke to a male who stated his brother took his bike and AC unit. It was determined the AC unit was loaned to his mother, and the brother took it back. The brother admitted to taking the male’s bike, which was later recovered by the male. The male wanted no charges filed or arrests made.
PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT - On July 19th, 2023 at around 12:29 PM, deputies drove to the 26100 block of Bruce Rd to attempt contact with Lori and Neil Jardine, 65. Neil Jardine had a state-wide felony parole board warrant and deputies had a citation to issue to Lori Jardine from a contact that had occurred the previous day. Deputies contacted both of them at their trailer. Lori Jardine was issued a traffic citation for ORS.803.550 Illegal alteration or display of plates. Neil Jardine was taken into custody on his warrant and transported and booked at the Benton County Jail.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On July 19th, 2023 at around 7:14 AM, deputies responded to Old River Rd near MP 6 for a report of an abandoned vehicle. Deputies arrived on scene and located a 2006 Chevy Malibu. Deputies attempted to contact the registered owners but were unsuccessful. The vehicle was subsequently towed as a hazard.
THEFT 1; FORGERY 1 - On July 18, 2023, at around 6:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 25200 block of Alpine Rd for a report of Fraud. A resident reported receiving a credit card in his name for a nearby company and a collections charge pending from a fraudulent charge at AT&T for $1700. The resident canceled the charges and there are no current suspects.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On July 18th, 2023 at around 4:41 PM, deputies were driving eastbound on NE HWY 20 near Polk Ave and observed a red Toyota Corolla sedan driving in the turn lane. Deputies observed a blue Audi Q5 turn from Polk Ave onto 3rd and collided with the Corolla. Both vehicles were operable but leaking coolant. They were moved into a parking lot.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR - On Monday, July 17, 2023, at approximately 11:32 pm, deputies were dispatched to Alsea Falls at 21500 South Fork Road for an Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle. Deputies contacted the owner of the vehicle by phone. She said her front driver`s side window was broken out sometime between 8:30 pm and 10:00 pm. An envelope containing the vehicle registration and insurance was missing. She did not know who did it and only saw one other person during the time she was there.
ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT - July 17, 2023, 12:25 p.m., deputies transported a stray dog from the 26500 block of Boyd Lane in Monroe to the Heartland Humane Society where he was impounded. The dog was a one-eyed gray and black merle-colored pit bull mix. His owner retrieved him later that day.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 17th, 2023, at around 12:22 PM, deputies made a traffic stop on a gold Oldsmobile Aurora at HWY 99W near McFarland Rd. The driver, Lori Jardine, 57, had an active warrant for FTA Assault 4 with additional charges of Harassment X2 and disorderly conduct 2. She was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked on her warrant.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, July 16, 2023, at approximately 11:34 pm, deputies were driving a marked patrol vehicle southbound on Highway 99W from the area of Elks Drive when they saw two vehicles pulled off on the east shoulder of Highway 99W, near milepost 79, with their hazard lights on. Deputies spoke with the driver of one vehicle, who said she swerved to miss a dog in the roadway but hit it. The passenger side tires on her vehicle were damaged. The driver was not injured, her car was not blocking the roadway, and she had already called for a tow. She had not seen the dog since, and I did not locate it.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Sunday, July 16, 2023, at about 7:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to a report of a single-vehicle crash on N 9th Street near SW West Hills Road in Philomath. A juvenile driver was going 50 MPH west on SW West Hills Road when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a drainage ditch on the west side of N 9th Street. The driver and one of the three juvenile passengers sustained minor injuries. The driver was not impaired. The vehicle was recovered from the scene by the owner.
ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY - On July 16th, 2023, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash located in the 1700 block of Oak Grove Drive. When deputies arrived, Albany EMS had the driver loaded into the ambulance and was leaving for Good Samaritan Hospital. There were approximately 246 feet of skid marks prior to the vehicle leaving the roadway, hitting the ditch, and flipping over. The vehicle was on its top in the ditch and up against a large tree.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On Friday, July 14, 2023, at approximately 12:45 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of Northwest Monroe Avenue for a report of someone spray painting the side of the Cascade Apartments. Jail deputies saw a person writing on the 5th Street side of the building in paint, but they left before they were contacted.
THEFT 2 DECEPTION - On July 13th, 2023 at about 9:50 am, deputies were dispatched to a theft from the Dollar General in Monroe. The manager reported an unknown female came into the store and loaded a cart full of items on a receipt from a different store for $130.00. She went to the counter and returned items she pulled from the shelves matching the items on the receipt for $99.00 cash. This incident occurred on June 17th, 2023.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On July 11th, 2023 at around 10:20 AM, deputies responded to a vehicle traffic crash at HWY 99W and Elliot Circle. Deputies determined there were no injuries, and learned the driver was looking at her phone and rear-ended the vehicle in front of her. Both vehicles were drivable. Both drivers exchanged information.
DOG AT LARGE - On Saturday, July 23, 2023, deputies were dispatched to Marys Peak at approximately milepost one for a dog at large. On arrival, deputies spoke to one of the callers who gave a basic understanding of the dog and its behavior. Deputies loaded the dog into the back of their patrol vehicle and transported it to Heartland Humane Society, where staff took over.
WARRANT ARREST - On 07/22/2023 at approximately 7:00 pm, deputies contacted John Caldwell, 30, at the intersection of 35th and Philomath Blvd. Caldwell was arrested for an FTA warrant through Albany Municipal Court. Caldwell was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On 7/21/2023 at around 11:30 PM, deputies spoke with two men near McBee Park on a BLM road. The property is owned by Hull Oakes Lumber. The men said they had permission to be camping at this location, which they did not.  They said they would leave that day.
WARRANT ARREST - On 7/22/2023 at 1:34 am, Crystal Mayo Palomo (31) of Corvallis, was arrested and lodged at the Benton County Jail for a parole violation warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 21, 2023 at around 12:09 am, deputies contacted Kayla Ann Coshow, 23, at 600 NW Hwy 20 after the park was closed. Kayla had a confirmed Albany Muni Court warrant for Failure to Appear Trespass II. She was later issued a citation with a new court date.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at approximately 5:25 pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at Highway 99W and NW Arboretum Road. The crash was blocking Highway 99W. A red Mazda attempted a U-turn in front of a blue Prius, causing the Prius to strike the Mazda. Both drivers were taken to the hospital.
HARASSMENT - On 7/19/2023 at around 11:10 AM, deputies spoke with a male by phone about unwanted contact from his ex-wife. He said she is still texting him and he does not want contact from her any longer. Both were warned about Telephonic Harassment.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at approximately 4:29 pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on SW 53rd Street near SW Whitby Avenue. A single vehicle hit a power pole and rolled, coming to rest on its roof. Medics transported the passenger to the hospital. The driver was given a ride to the hospital by a family member.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Monday, July 17, 2023, at about 6:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a reckless driving incident on Highway 34 near milepost 44. A driver was traveling to her home in Alsea when she was almost hit by a white Nissan Altima. The driver then followed the other at an unsafe distance all the way to her home in Alsea. The driver then decided that they did not want the other arrested or cited for the incident.
RUNAWAY JUVENILE – On Monday, July 17, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 29100 block of Tampico Road, Corvallis for a runaway juvenile. The person reporting stated her juvenile daughter had left the house through a window. After the mother and deputies searched the area for several hours, the juvenile returned home safely on her own.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Sunday, July 16, 2023, at approximately 10:45 pm, deputies were driving through Monroe City Park when they saw an open door that led to a utility room on the northeast corner of the building containing the restrooms. There were some open cupboards and some hand tools on the floor, but otherwise, the room appeared in order. Deputies secured the door.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On 7/15/2023 at around 12:15 PM, deputies arrived at 200 NW 53rd, Corvallis for a reported trespass. A resident called to say a male was trespassing at her residence. Deputies spoke with the male and he deputies the RV was in his name also and he has been in medical rehab for a few months. He stated he has been sending The resident money to help pay the rent for when he returns. Deputies spoke with the resident at a nearby residence and explained to her the male was not trespassing and they would have to go to civil court to get their property separation worked out.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On Thursday, July 13, 2023 at approximately 8:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 24700 block of Cox Lane for a juvenile problem. Deputies arrived and spoke to a mother who said her 13-year-old son had broken a remote control, a leaf blower, and the door frame to his bedroom. The mother wanted him removed from the home and reported the 13-year-old had assaulted her 10-year-old son the morning before. Deputies later cited and released the 13-year-old for Harassment and Criminal Mischief II.
THEFT 1 DECEPTION - On July 13th 2023, deputies were dispatched to a call by phone to talk to a resident on Blitz Lane in Blodgett, who was the possible victim of a scamming crime. The resident told deputies that he received a phone call telling him he was the winner of $45 million dollars but he had to do some things to get the money.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On July 18, 2023 at approximately 11:20 am, SAFFER, Kirk, 34, turned themself in at the Benton County Jail and indicated that they had an outstanding warrant for having failed to appear at court. Valid Corvallis Municipal Court warrants were confirmed by CPD records and served by me as follows: FTA - Trespass II, Bail $5,000 and FTA - Trespass II, Bail $5,000. The subject was released after having signed a release agreement to appear in court.
DWS MIS - On 07/17/2023 at approximately 10:50 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a black Chevy Volt near NW 2nd Street and Harrison in Corvallis. The driver, Joseph Khawaja, 22, was subsequently arrested and issued a citation in lieu of custody for driving while suspended at the misdemeanor level.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On July 17, 2023 at approximately 11:01 am, BROWN, Leroy, 46, turned themself in at the Benton County Jail and indicated that they had an outstanding warrant for having failed to appear at court. A valid citation-only Linn County Circuit Court warrant was located for FTA - Theft II Bail $0. The subject was released after having signed a release agreement to appear in court.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 7/16/23 AT APPROXIMATELY 10:37 PM, DEPUTIES ARRESTED WALL, JERIS JOAN, 45, ON A WARRANT FOR FTA FTA CONTEMPT OUT OF ALBANY MUNI.  THE WARRANT WAS SERVED ON WALL WHO WAS LOCATED AT THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On Monday, July 16, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the area of 1800 NE Conifer BLVD for a motor vehicle crash involving a deer. The person reporting stated he hit a deer while driving. Deputies gathered the driver’s information and let him go on his way.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On 7/16/2023 at approximately 1:39 am, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2016 Subaru WRX for traveling 134 mph in a 55 mph zone on Highway 99 near milepost 74. The operator, Jeremy Ficker (28) of Salem, was arrested for Reckless Driving and cited for VBR 100+.
WARRANT ARREST - On 07/14/23 at 5:03 PM, CODDINGTON, Antonia Mamie, 33, turned herself in at the front door of the jail on the following warrants: 1) PPS/ASSA II, POSS Meth, Supervised out of Clackamas County 2) FTA/PCS Meth, NO BAIL Linn County Circuit Court Warrant. CODDINGTON was shown a copy of the warrants and was booked into the Benton County Jail. She had no local charges and was waiting to be transported out to Linn Co or Clackamas County.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On July 14th, 2023 at about 8:30 am, deputies were dispatched to Lobster Valley Road about milepost 11 for a single-vehicle crash. Once deputies got to the crash, it appeared that the driver lost control of the vehicle and rolled over on its top in the westbound lane of travel.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 7/13/23 @ 1441 AGBUNAG-GUSMAN, CHADLY TURNED HIMSELF IN AT THE JAIL ON AN FTA CRIMINAL MISCHIEF II BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT WARRANT. DEPUTIES THEN RELEASED AGBUNAG-GUSMAN WITH A FUTURE BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT DATE.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On July 13, 2023, at approximately 1:13 pm, YROZ-ATNIP, Austyn, 26, was transported to Benton County Jail from Multnomah County Jail for a Benton County Circuit Warrant. However, the warrant had not been served by the arresting agency. A valid Benton County Circuit Court warrant was confirmed by CPD records and served: FTA - Elude Bail $6,000. The subject was lodged pending arraignment.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 7/13/23 @ 10:59 AM, DAVIDSON, SARAH, 37, TURNED HERSELF IN AT THE JAIL ON AN FTA DWS BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT WARRANT. DAVIDSON WAS RELEASED WITH A FUTURE BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT DATE.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On June 26, 2023 at approximately 2:04 pm, jail deputies arrested OHLHAUSEN, Jared, 28 on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for FTA-Hit and Run, Bail $6,250. The subject was released after having signed a release agreement to appear at court at a later date.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 7/11/23 AT APPROXIMATELY 3:25 PM, COOK, KALEY MAE, 23, TURNED HERSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY ON A WARRANT FOR FTA ENDANGERED WELFARE MINOR, BAIL $3K OUT OF BENTON COUNTY. COOK WAS CITED AND RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE.
PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE – On July 17, 2023, deputies issued a citation to a dog owner residing in the 3800 block of NW Terra Lynda Drive in Albany. The owner has received several warnings regarding his German Shepherd running a large stopping traffic and chasing vehicles. The citation is for their dog at large on July 10, 2023.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On 07/10/2023 at approximately 9:33 pm, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Wonderly Ln. near Fern Rd. Deputies contacted a group of juveniles that were hanging out in the area. They were of no law enforcement interest and they had not committed any crimes.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 7/10/23 AT APPROXIMATELY 5:10 PM, THAYER, ALAN, 44, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY ON A WARRANT FOR FELON IN POSS (PPS). DEPUTIES CITED AND RELEASED THAYER WITH A NEW COURT DATE.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On July 6, 2023 at approximately 10:20 am, KONKOLIS, Michael, 35, turned themself in at the Benton County Jail and indicated that they had an outstanding warrant for a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for FTA - DWS Bail $1,500. The subject was released after having signed a release agreement to appear in court.
FALSE ALARM - On 07/05/2023 at approximately 8:44 pm, deputies assisted Philomath Police with a business alarm in the 400 block of South 9th Street. Deputies searched the building but found nothing criminal.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On June 26, 2023 at approximately 2:04 pm, jail deputies arrested OHLHAUSEN, Jared, 28 on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for FTA-Hit and Run, Bail $6,250. The subject was released after having signed a release agreement to appear at court at a later date.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 6/23/23 RUST, ERIKA, 32, TURNED HERSELF IN AT THE JAIL ON AN FTA THEFT I BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT WARRANT. MENDEZ WAS RELEASED WITH A FUTURE BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT DATE.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 6/20/23, JAIL DEPUTIES ARRESTED BURNS, GREGORY THOMAS, 46, ON A WARRANT OUT OF AMUNI FOR FTA DISCON, BAIL $2500. BURNS WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
PROBATION VIOLATION - On 6/16/2023, Peterson, Cody, 34, was arrested at the jail for a probation abscond warrant.
Monday, July 17, Joseph Edward Tucker (37) of Dallas, was arrested for DUII.

Wednesday, July 12, Loren Kenneth Clark Jr (55) of Albany, was arrested for DUII Drugs, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Mischief, and Vehicle Elude.
BURGLARY 2 - On Saturday, July 15, 2023, at approximately 9:29 am and again at 2:07 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 26000 block of Finley Refuge Road, Corvallis for a Burglary. The person reporting was setting up displays for visitors when he noticed damage to a door entering the house. After further investigation, they discovered that one item was missing. Two other buildings were also damaged but nothing missing from either one.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On July 13, 2023 at around 10:45 AM, deputies spoke with a female by phone about an incident she had with another driver that morning on her way north on Camp Adair Road. The caller stated she passed another vehicle on the roadway, but the driver sped up and then followed her very closely. The caller wanted the other driver spoken to about their driving habits. At around 11:00 AM, deputies spoke with the other driver and he told deputies he did get passed by the caller`s vehicle, but she was the one driving recklessly almost running him and another driver off the roadway. Deputies warned all drivers about driving safely on the roadways.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On 7/12/2023 at around 9:20 AM, deputies arrived at the Monroe City Park for a complaint of 2 suspicious vehicles in the park. The caller thought it may be a drug deal. Deputies contacted two people walking their dogs in the park. No drug activity was noticed. They both live in the Alpine area.
MENACING; UNLAW USE OF WEAPON; RECKLESS ENDANGERING - On June 11, 2023, deputies arrested Thomas Mckeown, 28, for Menacing, unlawful use of a weapon, and recklessly endangering another person in the 24700 block of Cox Lane.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle. After identifying the driver and confirming his warrant, Jacob Vest, 34, was cited to appear with a new court date for a warrant and issued citations for multiple violations.
ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT - On Monday, July 10, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 21400 block of Harris Road, Philomath for two dogs at large. Deputies spoke to the person reporting, who explained that the two dogs had destroyed her rabbit enclosure, damaged cages, and killed nine rabbits. Deputies returned the two dogs to a home on Tum Tum Road, Philomath, issued her a citation for her dogs being a public nuisance, and advised her they were forwarding the case to animal control.
DWS FEL - On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a blue 2002 Ford F150. Deputies contacted the driver, who was later identified as Nicholas Popken, 40. After speaking with dispatch, deputies advised that Nicholas was driving while outside his hardship driving privilege times. Deputies arrested Nicholas, issued him a criminal citation for driving while suspended felony, and released him.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Monday, July 10, 2023, at about 1:45 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a suspicious vehicle near 2100 NW Lester Avenue in Corvallis. Deputies later spoke with a male that was unlawfully car-camping in the area. Deputies told him about a legal car camping location and he agreed to leave.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On Saturday, July 8th, 2023, at about 8:24 p.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of NE Columbia Ave, Adair Village, for a Criminal Mischief complaint. Deputies contacted a resident who stated sometime between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on that day, somebody threw one of her medal shelving racks through her bamboo fence in her backyard, causing it to fall over. They also knocked over various potted plants she had sitting on the ground. There was no dollar value associated with any damage but caused a substantial inconvenience. There are no identifiable suspects.
CUSTODIAL INTERFERENCE 1 - On July 4th, 2023 at around 10:02 AM, deputies received a call from a Monroe mother that explained that her son ran away on 11/19/2022. At that time he was 16 years old. She explained that her ex-father-in-law (who has no blood relation to Browning) drove from Wyoming, picked him up in Monroe, Oregon, and drove him back to Wyoming without her consent or knowledge. The runaway is now 18 and has disclosed his whereabouts to his brother.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 13th, 2023, deputies arrested BLAKE ALLEN PETERSEN, 33, on a confirmed misdemeanor warrant for FTA Trespassing/Bail $6250.00, out of Albany Municipal Court after checking on a suspicious vehicle that was called in on the old section of Reservoir Road near 53rd Street. He was issued a citation in lieu of custody as requested by Albany.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 12th, 2023, at about 12:15 am, deputies arrested Matthew Rowen, 40, on Highway 99 near Circle Blvd in Corvallis. Rowen was arrested for a Failure to Appear Warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court. Rowen was criminally cited and released.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On July 11th, 2023, at about 11:30, deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of Lewisburg Avenue in Corvallis, for a report of a burglary in progress. When deputies arrived on the scene, a former employee was turning in a resignation letter and gathering her belongings.
THEFT 2 - On Monday, July 10, 2023, at about 10:45 am, deputies were dispatched to speak with a female at the Benton County Sheriff`s Office regarding a theft. The female stated she had been scammed out of $240.00 over the phone. She said she finally realized she was being scammed and hung up. She contacted her financial institution and is not currently missing any additional monies.
PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE – On July 12, 2023, deputies issued a citation to a dog owner residing in the 19200 block of South Mountain Road in Alsea. The citation was for allowing her dog to run at large, onto the neighbor`s property, and try and attack their dog. The dog owner had already been issued a warning.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On June 21, 2023, around 7:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99, near Elliott Circle, for a disorderly person in the roadway. It was reported there was a female walking into traffic and throwing things at passing cars. When deputies arrived the female, later identified as Rachelle Marie Guess, 36, was walking on the nearby railroad tracks. Guess was cited and released on her warrants and was charged with Criminal Trespass 1 and Disorderly Conduct 2.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On Saturday, July 8, 2023, at about 6:00 pm, deputies stopped to speak with a suspicious person sitting on the side of Highway 99 near milepost 99 in Monroe. The man was later identified as a corrections client out of Douglas County. No crime.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, July 8, 2023 at approximately 12:42 P.M., Driver 1 was turning left onto Highway 20 from the Blodgett Store parking lot in his Ford Escape. Driver 1 made a slow left turn in front of a GMC Yukon, towing a boat, that was driven by driver 2. Driver 2 had no time to stop and struck the right front of Driver 1’s vehicle with the left front of the Yukon and pushed the Escape into the guardrail on the south side of the road. Both vehicles were towed.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On July 7th, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 3200 block of West Hills Rd for a male in the caller’s front yard. Deputies made contact with Zachery Ryan Cochrane, who was sleeping on the side of the caller’s Driveway. Deputies who Zachery up and told him he needed to move along, which he did.
RUNAWAY JUVENILE - On July 7, 2023 at 11:08 am, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highland and Lester for a report of a young juvenile carrying a duffle bag. Deputies contacted the boy carrying two bags who was returned to the 4300 block of NW Crescent Valley Dr. Deputies spoke with his mother by phone who explained her son must have snuck out and that the housekeeper/babysitter was at the residence. The mother was headed back to the residence but said it was OK to leave the boy with the sitter.
BURGLARY 1 - On July 7, 2023 at about 8:30 am, deputies spoke with a male at his residence located in the 200 block of S 11th St in Monroe. The male reported on July 6, 2023, at about 11 am, a 10-year-old entered his house and stole pop and candy. Deputies later contacted a juvenile runaway at his residence on Commercial St. The juvenile admitted to the crime and was issued a citation for Burglary I.
THEFT 2 - On July 6, 2023 at 11:20 am, a resident reported a theft of lumber from the 36100 block of Mahogany Ln. She stated one day when she returned home the lumber was missing. She assumed someone she knew had come and got it. She valued the stolen wood at $549.76.
RUNAWAY JUVENILE - On July 6, 2023 at 10:00 am, deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of Commercial St, Monroe for a report of a runaway. Deputies met with a resident who explained a juvenile was out of control and ran away from the residence. At about 11:24 am, the juvenile returned home. Deputies contacted him and issued him a citation into juvenile court for being a runaway.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On July 4th, 2023, at about 11:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to Heartland Humane Society in Corvallis, Oregon for a report of a found dog. A female reported finding a small dog at Oak Grove Elementary School in Albany Oregon. The tags on the collar were worn down and they couldn`t make out the owner`s information. The dog was secured at the Humane Society.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 7/2/2023 at approximately 10:00 pm, deputies responded to Oak Creek Dr. near NW Blacktail Trail Dr. for a non-injury motor vehicle crash. A driver from Corvallis swerved to avoid hitting a deer and crashed into the embankment. He did not sustain any injuries and the vehicle was totaled.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 29th, 2023 at around 7:08 PM, deputies responded to the intersection of NE HWY 20 and NE Circle Blvd for a non-injury vehicle crash. Deputies determined one driver unintentionally ran the red light and struck another driver with a passenger as they were turning eastbound onto NE HWY 20 from NE Circle Blvd. No one was injured. One was cited for failing to obey a traffic control device.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On July 5, 2023, at 12:47 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of NE Elliott Cir for a report of found property. A female reported finding a set of keys at the intersection of HWY 99/Elliott Cir. The keys consisted of a single key and a key fob. A tag on the key chain shows it belongs to a Gold 2008 Chevy Uplander van. The keys were entered into evidence.
UNNECESSARY NOISE - On July 5th, 2023, deputies spoke with a resident by telephone. She reports an ongoing issue where a man from Albany had been blaring the horn of his light blue "C.G. HALL" log truck as he drives by her residence in the 39600 block of Highway 223. She asked that an extra patrol request be submitted in her name to possibly address this issue she states has been happening for 3 years. She said the male is intentionally doing this because he does not like a man who stays with a woman across the road from her.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 4th, 2023 at around 2:27 PM, deputies arrested Rachelle Joann Rictor, 32, in the 1900 of SW 3rd Street, in Corvallis for two active warrants for her arrest. She was issued citations for both of her warrants and given new court dates to appear at their respective courts.
RUNAWAY JUVENILE - On Tuesday, July 4, 2023, deputies were dispatched to a report of a runaway juvenile. A mother stated her son had run away. After speaking with the juvenile’s probation officer, deputies located the juvenile in Corvallis at a friend`s residence. Deputies contacted the mother via phone. While on speaker phone, the mother relayed to her son what she wanted him to do, to which he complied, and deputies departed the area.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On July 3rd, 2023 at around 11:58 AM, deputies followed up on a previously tagged abandoned vehicle in a gravel lot at the intersection of Camp Adair Rd and Independence Hwy. The vehicle was subsequently towed.
UUV; POSS STOLEN VEHICLE; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE - On 6/30/2023 at 9:09 PM, an unknown male eluded deputies on a stolen 2001 Ducati motorcycle on Springhill Dr. near Hickory St. The male crashed the motorcycle near 1533 Nebergall Loop and fled on foot. No suspect information at this time.
WARRANT ARREST - On 7/3/23 at approximately 2:45 pm, jail deputies were preparing to release ADAM, Nicholas, 42, after arraignment and learned ADAM had a warrant out of AMUNI for FTA Discon 2, bail $385. Deputies served the warrant on ADAM while he was located at the Benton County Jail and released him with a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 2nd, 2023, at around 12:00 PM, deputies made a traffic stop on a blue Acura CL. The driver, Bryce Baldwin, 38, was suspended violation, was not insured, and had not registered his vehicle. Additionally, Baldwin had an active Linn County Justice Court warrant. He was subsequently arrested and later cited and released. He was cited for his traffic offenses and his warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On 07/02/2023 at approximately 3:30 A.M., deputies were at a DUII investigation near the intersection of Highway 20 and Springhill in Albany when they learned the passenger in the vehicle, Kristy Burns, 45, had an active warrant for her arrest. Burns was issued a citation in lieu of custody and was given a ride to a residence in Albany.
WARRANT ARREST - On 07/02/2023 at approximately 12:30 A.M., deputies contacted Jaime Rayes, 26, at Takena Landing Park in North Albany. Rayes had multiple warrants for his arrest. Rayes was taken into custody without incident and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
MISSING PERSON - On Saturday, July 1, 2023, deputies were dispatched to an address on Hoodview Circle, Corvallis for a report of a missing person. The missing person, Calvin Henry, had left his residence before the morning caregiver arrived with no sign of direction. After searching and speaking with neighbors, Search and Rescue was brought in to assist. Calvin was located and transported to Good Samaritan Regional Hospital by Corvallis Fire Department for evaluation.
PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE – On June 30, 2023, deputies gave a dog owner residing in the 24500 block of Columbine Drive in Philomath a warning for his dog running at large and stopping a delivery truck on two separate occasions.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, June 30, 2023, at approximately 11:40 AM, deputies responded NW Lewisburg Avenue and Shasta for a vehicle that struck a deer. The driver was uninjured and drove her vehicle from the scene. The deer appeared to be largely uninjured and ran off.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 30th, 2023 at around 11:17 AM, deputies were driving near the 300 block of NW Hickory Street and went out with Linn County Parole and Probation. He advised a woman who was at his client`s residence had active warrants. Deputies located Jenae-Lynn Anderson, 25, who had four outstanding warrants for her arrest out of Linn County Circuit Court, Polk County Circuit Court, Linn County Justice Court, and Albany Municipal Court. She was subsequently cited and released on her 4 warrants.
THEFT 1 AGGRAVATED - On June 30, 2023 at about noon, deputies spoke with a resident by phone who reported unauthorized activity on his Central Willamette Credit Union Checking account. The resident reported the incident to his bank and was provided a case number.
HARASSMENT (1C) OBSCENE PHONE - On June 30, 2023, at about 10:00 a.m., at 180 NW 5th Street, deputies answered their personal line at their desk. Karl Ron Salki Jr., 65, had left sexually violent voicemails and threats. Karl was taken into custody and lodged at the Benton County Jail on July 5, 2023.
HARBORING A BARKING DOG – On June 30, 2023, deputies gave a warning to a dog owner living in the 24500 block of Alpine Road in Monroe. The warning was for her dog continuously barking and disturbing a nearby neighbor.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On June 30th, 2023 AT ABOUT 3:23 A.M., a female reported seeing the headlights of a vehicle in a field near 800 NE Granger Avenue, where she is a caregiver, and had just left. Deputies responded immediately from the office and did not locate any vehicles in the area, and the motion light by the large shop at the back of the property was not on until deputies set it off.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On June 30th, 2023, at about 1:30 am, deputies were dispatched to the 2100 block of NE Highway 20 in Corvallis, for a report of a suspicious person. A male had returned to the listed address looking for a set of keys he lost when he had been at the property earlier, offering to buy a car from the owners of the property.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 29th, 2023 at about 10:00, deputies were following a vehicle driven by Belinda Sheldon, 55. Sheldon pulled into the Alpine Park and stopped. Deputies pulled in behind the vehicle and stopped. Belinda got out of the driver`s seat and approached the deputy’s patrol car. Deputies asked Belinda if she appeared in court for the last citations deputies issued her. Belinda said she had not. Deputies then cited and released Belinda with new court dates on both FTA Child Neglect and FTA Contempt of Court.
DWS MIS - On June 29, 2023, at around 1:07 am, deputies contacted a 1992 Honda Accord that They saw drive into Takena Landing Park, which was closed. Deputies later arrested driver Jason Weeks, 43, for Driving while suspended-misdemeanor.
ASSAULT PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER; HARASSMENT PHYSICAL - On June 28th, 2023 at around 6:37 PM, deputies responded to the Benton County Jail for an assault. Deputies determined an adult in custody, Daniella Ena Thien, 36, had refused to go back into her holding cell, and in the process of deputies attempting to move her back to the cell, she scratched, kicked, pinched, and elbowed BCSO corrections deputies, causing a black eye to one of them. Thien was later cited for Assault on a public safety officer and Harassment.
RUNAWAY JUVENILE - On June 28, 2023 at 1:41 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 24700 block of Hidden Valley Rd. A resident reported her son as a runaway. On June 29, at about 10:30 am, the son was located in the 24100 block of Cardwell Hill Dr. The juvenile’s father arrived a few minutes later and took custody of him.
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER - On June 26, 2023, at about 11:35 PM, deputies were patrolling Camp Adair Road near Milepost 1. Deputies found a white van parked in an EE Wilson Parking lot, past the posted hours. Scott Murrison, 43, was arrested for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and issued a criminal citation at the Benton County Jail.
BURGLARY 2; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On Monday, June 26, 2023, at approximately 12:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to investigate a burglary at the Mount Union Cemetery at 2987 Mount Union Ave. One of employees reported that a door to a tool shed on the property had been forced open. The employee said that nothing appeared to be missing
THEFT 1 AGGRAVATED - On Monday, June 26, 2023, at approximately 10:10 am, deputies were dispatched to the 27600 block of Highway 99W, Corvallis for a theft of a trailer. Deputies spoke with the owner to get a description of the trailer and missing items. At this time the trailer has not been located.
ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY - On June 25th, 2023 at about 2:22 pm, deputies were dispatched to a crash on Old River Road and Dodge Island Rd. Deputies responded and made contact with a group of riders that were stopped on Dodge Island Rd. tending to a driver. Monroe Fire was on the scene helping the driver, who complained of a sore right shoulder. Deputies learned that the group of four riders were northbound on Old River Road when the driver hit loose gravel and crashed. Deputies also learned that he was only going at 30 mph at the time of the crash. No citations were issued. The driver was wearing a "Skull Cap" type helmet and was transported to Good Samaritan in Corvallis for an evaluation.
WARRANT ARREST - on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at about 6:00 AM, deputies assisted Corvallis Police Department with helping locate West Trontvet, 33, who had multiple warrants. Corvallis K9 Unit was tracking Trontvet through private property off West Hills Road towards Highway 20. Officers Trontvet on SW 66th Avenue and Highway 20. Trontvet was taken into custody for two confirmed Benton County Circuit Court warrants. Trontvet was put into handcuffs and transported to the Benton County jail where he was lodged. Tronvent was warned for trespass by Corvallis Police Department.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 23, 2023, David Olsen, 58, was cited and released from the jail with a new court date for PV-DWS out of Lebanon Municipal Court.
FINANCIAL TRANS UNLAW ACTIVITY - On June 6th, 2023 at around 10:17 AM, deputies responded to the front lobby of the Benton County Sheriff`s Office for a report of fraud. A resident reported she had received a phone call that appeared to be from the Benton County Sheriff`s Office on her caller ID. A man claiming to be Sgt. Gordon scammed her into believing she had to pay money because of warrants she had received for missing a court date. The resident was scammed out of $4,000 dollars.

FOUND DOG - On June 28, 2023, at around 8:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to contact a female who had found a small dog running in traffic along Highway 20, near Granger Ave. Deputies later transported a sweet, kind, old black Chihuahua to Heartland Humane Society.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On June 28, 2023, at around 6:36 pm, deputies was dispatched to the LEC Lobby for found property. A male reported finding an ODL belonging to a female near the Benton County Fairgrounds. Deputies later contacted the female by phone, who asked that deputies mail her DL back to her.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 - On June 28, 2023, at around 4:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to NE Granger Ave for a reported hit and run. A resident reported that sometime over the previous weekend someone backed into his 2020 Ram 3500 and caused around $8,000 in damage.
NARCOTICS INFO - On June 27th, 2023 at around 5:28 PM, deputies responded to a parking lot in the 200 block N 5th Street, Monroe, for a report of a male smoking what was believed to be Fentanyl in his vehicle. Deputies contacted the male in his vehicle and determined he was in fact smoking fentanyl. He consented to a search of his vehicle, and deputies located burnt foil and 1/2 of one Fentanyl pill which he had been smoking. He was not cited, but talked to at length about addiction recovery and was informed if he drove, he would certainly be arrested for DUII and told he needed to call a friend to give him a ride.
UNPROVOKED ATTACK – On June 27, 2023, deputies gave a warning to a dog owner living in the 24600 block of Chickory Lane in Philomath. The warning was for his dog running next door and attacking the neighbor`s dog. The complainant did not want a citation issued at this time.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the Blodgett School for a suspicious vehicle. Deputies contacted the driver who stated she was just there, getting sleep while on her way to the coast and would move along as soon as her juvenile sons woke up.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, June 26, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the area of 5th Street and Orchard Street, Monroe for a non-injury motor vehicle crash. When deputies arrived, Monroe Fire Department was already at the location and advised that all parties declined medics and they were going to depart the crash location.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT - On Sunday, June 25, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 35100 block of Lillian Drive, Philomath for a domestic disturbance that occurred the night prior. The person reporting stated her adopted juvenile son had hit her in the shoulder during an altercation. After speaking to all involved parties deputies issued the juvenile a criminal citation for Harassment.
DWS FEL - On June 22nd, at about 12:18 am, Michael Boggs, 36, was arrested on Alpine Cutoff Road near Highway 99 in Monroe, for Criminally Driving Revoked or Suspended. Boggs was cited and released.
THEFT 3 BICYCLE - On June 27, 2023, at around 4:36 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 3800 block of NE Highway 20, for a report of a stolen bicycle. The resident reported that sometime on June 26, someone stole a 30-year-old single-speed bicycle that was used on the farm. The bike is greenish-yellow in color, a single speed, has bent handlebars, and no other identifying features. Thompson valued the bike at under $100. No current suspects.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Sunday, June 25, 2023, deputies were dispatched to 5665 NW Oak Creek Drive, Corvallis for a welfare check. Deputies contacted Noah Fox, 43, and advised him he had a fail-to-appear warrant for unlawful use of a weapon and menacing. Deputies issued Noah a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER - On Monday, June 19, 2023, at about 6:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the area of Old River Road and Stow Pit Road near Monroe to investigate a woman going door-to-door in the neighborhood asking for money and food. Deputies later arrested Jennifer L. Foiles, 36, for Trespass 2, Attempted Trespass 1, Disorderly Conduct 2, and Giving False Information to a Peace Officer. Foiles was booked at the Benton County Jail.
On Monday, June 26, Edwin Estafano Camero-Anzola (31) of Monroe, was arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving as a result of an injury crash at Alpine Cutoff Rd/Orchard Tract Rd, Monroe.
On Saturday, June 24, Diana Clifton (56) of Eugene, was arrested for DUII Drugs and Reckless Driving.
On Saturday, June 24, Natalia Annelise Garcia (21) of Corvallis, was arrested for DUII.
On Friday, June 23, Dustyn Patric Manley-Johnson (29) of Albany, was arrested for DUII, Reckless Driving, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
WARRANT ARREST - On 6/24/2023 at 11:42 pm, Hayden Hiteshew (22) of Scio, was arrested on an outstanding Lane County misdemeanor warrant at Takena Landing in Albany. Hiteshew was transported to the Benton County Jail and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, June 24, 2023, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near milepost five for a reported crash. On arrival, deputies witnessed a white 2001 Ford F150 in the ditch with its driver standing outside of it. After talking with the driver, deputies learned that while driving, the driver was attempting to diagnose a possible problem based on an audible noise the wheels were making. The driver subsequently drove off the road, hit a power pole, and came to a stop where deputies found him. The driver was issued a citation for driving while suspended-violation and given a ride from the incident by a friend.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On June 23, 2023, deputies spoke to a female by phone who said she was at a restaurant in Monroe. She said parked her vehicle in the gravel parking lot near the west side. At about 9:00 PM, a lifted silver Dodge Ram pickup, with black wheels and a front brush bumper pulled up to her vehicle. An unknown suspect got out of the pickup and broke her rear passenger window out. The female’s black Coach purse containing her personal identification cards, credit cards, employee identification card, house keys and $400 cash was stolen.
ELUDE VEHICLE; RECKLESS DRIVING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING - On Friday, June 23rd, 2023, at about 7:06 p.m., deputies attempted to stop a motorcycle near Hwy 20 / Hwy 34, Philomath, for speeding. The motorcycle accelerated at a high rate of speed eastbound on Applegate St. There was a passenger on the motorcycle, and the environmental conditions at the time were not conducive to initiating a vehicle pursuit. Deputies turned their emergency lights off and lost sight of the motorcycle.
ASSAULT PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER ATTEMPTED ASLT; HARASSMENT PHYSICAL - On June 23, 2023 at about 9:45, Arianna Elizabeth Mitchell, 34, attempted to assault a jail deputy at the Benton County Jail. Mitchell was charged with Attempted Assault on a Public Safety Officer and Harassment.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On June 23, 2023, at 12:36 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 24700 block of Highway 34 in Philomath for a possible burglary in progress. The caller reported seeing two suspicious males pick the front gate lock and go back near the maintenance building. Deputies deployed with a K9 and tracked the suspects several 100 yards to a landing near Mary`s River. The two suspects were Wildland Firefighters and had permission to camp on the property.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 22, 2023, at 4:42 pm, deputies were dispatched to Hwy 34 near MP 37 for a vehicle in a ditch. Deputies located the vehicle in the north ditch, unoccupied. Deputies later spoke with the owner by phone, who explained he was eastbound on HWY 34 when his vehicle stalled. He stated he put the vehicle in neutral to push it out of the roadway. Due to the incline, the vehicle rolled downhill and into the ditch. The driver arranged his own tow company.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 22nd, 2023, at about 1:48 pm, deputies were dispatched to the P&P lobby located on the 3rd floor of the LEC. Deputies were told that Mathew Jareth Jason McGowan, 28, had 2 outstanding warrants for his arrest out of Corvallis Muni Court. Deputies walked Mathew over to the Benton County Jail where they dropped him off.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 22, 2023, at around 12:42 am, deputies contacted an individual on North Albany Rd and NW Hickory St and later arrested Michael Mosier, 34, on a Marion County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to appear - Theft. Mosier was later issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On June 21st, 2023, at about 3:30 am, deputies were dispatched to the 25800 block of Old River Road in Monroe, Oregon, for a suspicious vehicle. An unknown person driving a grey-colored sedan pulled into the driveway, put three five-dollar bills on the back porch, and drove away. It is not known why the unknown person did this.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE; THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Tuesday, June 20, 2023, deputies were dispatched to 21500 South Fork Road, Alsea (Alsea Falls camp host area) for an unlawful entry into a motor vehicle (UEMV). After speaking with the camp host, deputies were able to get in contact with three victims. In substance, their vehicles were broken into at the Alsea Falls day-use area and multiple items were taken from the vehicles.
POSS METH; WARRANT ARREST; FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER - On Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at about 12:25 am, deputies contacted a group in an Avery Park picnic shelter after the park had closed. Deputies later arrested Marty Kenneth Dorland, 58, on a state-wide felony parole board warrant and for Giving False Information to a Peace Officer. Dorland was also cited for violation for possession of methamphetamine. Dorland was lodged at the Benton County Jail on his warrant.
DWS MIS - On Monday, June 19, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop in a parking lot of 5060 Philomath Blvd, Corvallis. The Driver, Michael Konkolis, 35, was driving while suspended, a misdemeanor. Deputies arrested Michael and issued him a citation in lieu of custody and released him.
THEFT 3; FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD - On Monday, June 19, 2023, at approximately 8:30 AM, deputies contacted a resident in regard to a fraudulent use of her debit card on an Amazon account that was recently set up by a fictitious name. The resident had already deactivated her card and contacted Amazon to shut down the fraudulent account.
ASSAULT 4 - On Sunday, June 18, 2023, at approximately 3:00 PM, deputies contacted an individual in regard to being assaulted by his employer in Philomath, Oregon. The employee wanted to make a report only and did not want deputies to contact his employer.
WARRANT ARREST; FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER - On Saturday, June 17, 2023, at about 11:15 pm, deputies were on patrol in Takena Landing Park, Albany, when they contacted Edwin Jerome Canen, 45, who was in the park after it had closed. Deputies later arrested Canen on an extraditable warrant out of Idaho for failing to appear on a felony DUII charge and for giving false information to a peace officer in connection with a warrant. Canen was transported to the Benton County Jail to await extradition on his warrant.
THEFT 2 - On Friday, June 16, 2023, at approximately 3:30 PM, deputies contacted a mother and her juvenile son at their residence in regard to a backpack theft that occurred on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Crescent Valley High School. They reported another juvenile sending a video of the backpack to her son via Instagram and reported prior bullying by this other juvenile. Deputies determined that the bullying via Instagram was mutual. Both juveniles were told not to contact each other further. Further follow-up will be done at Crescent Valley High School to check video around the area where the backpack went missing.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On June 15, 2023, at around 5:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of E Main St for a trespass complaint. Timothy O’Neill reported that two men kept moving their personal property onto his property. Deputies later issued O’Neill, 58, a criminal citation for Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree and warned both property owners that this was a civil issue and to obtain a land survey.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 and milepost 42 for a non-injury motor vehicle crash. The person reporting was the person that crashed the vehicle. When deputies arrived they contacted the driver and the passenger. Both were standing near the roadway but did not initially see any vehicle. After speaking with the two and getting information, the vehicle had already been towed.
HARASSMENT - On June 14th, 2023, at around 3:00 PM, deputies took a report of a telephonic harassment call from a man by his ex-wife, stemming from a poor GPS reading from their kid’s phone. The father had their children at his residence for visitation and their phone GPS reading was showing them not at the father`s address, causing anxiety and concern from the mother. The mother made threats that if the father hurt the kids she would kill him. Deputies contacted the mother via phone who lives in Grants Pass. Deputies determined she had no intentions or plan to harm the father but was emotional. Additionally, she did not own a gun or a car and had no way of going to Benton County, where the father lives. The father requested the incident be documented for now.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 14, 2023 at 1:51 pm, deputies were dispatched to a non-injury traffic crash on HWY 20 near MP 4. Vehicle 1 was traveling eastbound on Hwy 20. Vehicle 2 was also traveling eastbound on Hwy 20 behind Vehicle 1. Vehicle 1 slowed down as she approached traffic backing up for a construction zone. Vehicle 2 was unable to slow in time and crashed into the rear of Vehicle 1. Deputies photographed the damage to both vehicles and completed a DMV crash report.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 13, 2023, at around 11:30 pm, deputies contacted a black 2006 Subaru Impreza being pushed by an individual near Highway 34 and Ireland Ln. Deputies later arrested Robert La Follette for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Failure to appear. La Follette was issued criminal citations in lieu of custody for the warrant and the additional crime of driving while suspended –  misdemeanor. Christina Bessey, who showed up at the scene to tow La Follette`s Subaru, was also arrested and issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Contempt of court.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 13th, 2023 at around 8:49 AM, deputies responded to a rollover crash on SW Plymouth Drive, a short distance west of SW 53rd Street. The driver`s serpentine belt on his 93 Saab convertible had broken as he rounded a corner causing him to lose control and crash into the ditch. He had self-extricated and only had a minor scratch on his ankle and no other injuries. The vehicle was totaled and later towed.
FINANCIAL TRANS UNLAW ACTIVITY FRAUD - On June 20th, 2023 at around 1:22 PM, deputies were dispatched to an attempted fraud call. Deputies contacted a female via phone. She reported her computer had been hacked and had a message that her financial information had been used to purchase "Child Porn" from a website. She called a support number on the message and spoke with a man claiming to be with the "Federal Bureau Credit Commission." The man attempted to obtain her financial information which she did not provide. At this time no money was lost.
FINANCIAL TRANS UNLAW ACTIVITY FRAUD - On June 6th, 2023 at around 10:01 AM, deputies responded to the front lobby of the Benton County Sheriff`s Office for a report of fraud. A female was scammed into sending 15,000 dollars via western union and 3,000 dollars via BitCoin. the $15,000 dollars sent via western union was recovered; however, the 3,000 dollars to BitCoin was not able to be recovered.
ELUDE VEHICLE - On June 18, 2023, at 11:45 PM, deputies observed a dual sport motorcycle with three round headlights traveling southbound on Highway 99W near milepost 104 at a high rate of speed. The motorcycle did not have a working taillight. Deputies caught up with the motorcycle near milepost 106 and activated their emergency lights. The motorcycle eluded deputies and passed a vehicle in the oncoming lane of travel. The motorcycle continued towards Junction City at speeds around 90 miles per hour. Deputies last observed the motorcycle traveling northbound on Highway 99E.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, June 18, 2023, at about 7:35 pm, deputies stopped a silver Honda Accord on 15th Street near Monroe Avenue in Corvallis for driving with no front license plate. Deputies later arrested the driver, Zachary Gene D. Johnson, 33, on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for FTA- Obstruction. At the issuing court`s request, Johnson was cited in lieu of custody.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On 06/18/2023 at approximately 7:43 pm, deputies contacted a female trespassing in a hazelnut orchard near the intersection of Highway 99W and Smith Loop. The female told deputies she was "looking for marbles". Deputies counseled Britton on Criminal Trespass and returned to patrol.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On 06/18/2023 at approximately 5:20 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 7100 block of NE Arnold Avenue in Adair for a report of a burglary in progress. Multiple deputies responded to this location and were unable to locate the subjects that were seen on Ring video camera footage. The property owners had accessed the Ring cameras remotely. All entrances to the buildings were secure and no items appear to have been taken or tampered with. The suspects are currently unknown.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, June 18, 2023, at about 2:00 AM, deputies contacted a female for trespassing in Takena Landing Park in Albany. Deputies informed the female she was trespassing and asked for her information. The female, Heather Gawn, 30, provided deputies with her information and asked if she had warrants. Gawn returned with a confirmed Albany Municipal Court warrant for Failure to appear- Possession of a Restricted Weapon and a confirmed Linn County Justice Court warrant for Probation Violation. Gawn was issued criminal citations for her warrant; deputies explained the court date and time to her.
FALSE ALARM - On Saturday, June 17, 2023, at about 8:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to an alarm in the 3400 block of Springhill Road NW in Albany. Deputies arrived to find a shop door open and a secondary shop door open. Deputies cleared the two structures and found no sign of forced entry or obvious signs of theft. All other buildings were secure. Deputies contacted the homeowner who stated it was likely her grandson grabbing riding gear. The homeowner informed deputies she would contact the Sheriff`s Office if something was stolen.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, June 17, 2023, at approximately 12:20 PM, deputies observed Darrell Lee Hounchell, 50, riding a bicycle near Townsend shelter in Avery Park, Corvallis with a machete in his hand. Deputies followed Hounchell until he stopped in the parking near a large group picnic. Deputies asked Hounchell about the machete and he explained he was borrowing it from a friend to clear out brush for his new campsite nearby. Hounchell told deputies his name and said that he had court this week and had no warrants. Dispatch informed deputies that Hounchell had a warrant for Contempt of Court from Albany Municipal Court and 2 FTA warrants from Linn County Circuit Court. Hounchell was arrested and issued citations in lieu of custody for his warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, June 17, 2023, at about 1:20 AM, deputies contacted a female trespassing in Takena Landing Park in North Albany. Deputies informed the female she was trespassing and asked for her ID. The female provided deputies with her name and mentioned she likely had a warrant for her arrest. Jezemine Lee, 26, returned with a confirmed Albany Municipal Court warrant for Failure to appear on a Disorderly Conduct 2. Lee was issued a citation in lieu of arrest and warned for trespass.
THEFT 2 BICYCLE - On June 16, 2023, at 10:52 am, deputies were dispatched to the 3900 block of NW Alder Ave for a stolen bicycle. The resident reported sometime between 10 pm and 8 am, his full-suspension red Giant DS3 was stolen off the front porch. The victim had no suspect information and was unable to locate the serial number for the bicycle. The bicycle was valued at $700 new
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 16th, 2023, at about 10:30 pm, deputies responded to the 4400 block of NW Highland Drive in Corvallis Oregon for a report of a single-vehicle crash. The driver swerved to avoid a deer in the road and hit a tree. There were no injuries.
WARRANT ARREST - ON JUNE 15, 2023 AT APPROXIMATELY 10:47 PM, HARDY-BOSS, SABRINA, 28, TURNED HERSELF INTO THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL ON BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT WARRANT FOR FTA POSSESSION OF FORGED INSTRUMENT 1, AND POSSESSION OF A FORGED INSTRUMENT 2, BAIL 6,000--. HARDY-BOSS WAS LODGED AT THE JAIL ON THE WARRANT.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On June 15, 2023, at around 7:35 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash into a residence in the 5400 block of NW Shasta Ave. The driver was traveling south in her 2006 Chevy Silverado on NW Shasta Ave when she fell asleep and went off the roadway. She hit a fence, then a guy wire for a telephone pole, and then into the front of the house. There was damage to the front of the vehicle. When the vehicle hit the house, it pushed in approximately a 12-foot section of the exterior wall. The driver was evaluated by the Corvallis Fire Department and she was cited for DWS Violation.
Thursday, June 15, 2023, Alex Matthew Sutphin, 35, of Newport, was arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving, and a warrant out of Du Page, Illinois.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 15, 2023, at around 12:45 am, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a dark-colored 1998 Honda Civic near Avery Park and Philomath Blvd. Deputies later arrested Elijah Carroll, 21, for a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to appear - Assault 4. Carroll was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
CONTEMPT OF COURT - On June 13, 2023, at around 5:30 pm, deputies encountered Randall Curtis, 56, while performing a civil process in the 400 block of SW Twin Oaks Cir. Deputies later arrested Curtis for a Philomath Municipal Court warrant for Contempt of court- FTC Criminal Conspiracy. Curtis was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
PAROLE VIOLATION - On June 13, 2023, at about 1:35 p.m., deputies went to the 4400 block of SW Research Way and arrested Antonia Mamie Coddington, 33, for an Oregon State Parole Board Warrant and a Linn County Warrant for PCS Meth. She was booked at Benton County Jail. Deputies also arrested Terry Blaine Herbert, 46, for a Benton County Warrant for FTA Theft I, Linn County Parole Violation Warrant, Washington County Felony FTA Warrant, and an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Carrying a Concealed Weapon. He was lodged at Linn County Jail.
MENACING INTIMIDATE/THRT - On June 12, 2023, around 7:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with James Michael Walsch, 57, about his roommate, who he said stole his dog. Walsch seemed to think another male was also involved. Walsch was subsequently arrested for Menacing and was transported to the Benton County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle. After contacting the passengers of the vehicle, deputies learned that one of them had two fail-to-appear warrants from two separate counties. Brooke Daniels, 36, was arrested and issued new court dates for her warrants out of Multnomah and Clackamas Counties.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 6/6/23, JAIL DEPUTIES WERE PREPARING TO RELEASE IRELAND, GREGORY, 53, AND LEARNED HE HAD A WARRANT FOR FTA LARCENY OUT OF ALBANY MUNI COURT. DEPUTIES SERVED THE WARRANT ON IRELAND WHO WAS LOCATED AT THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL.
BURGLARY 2 RESIDENCE - On May 30th, 2023 at around 9:15 AM, deputies took a cold burglary report in the 35600 block of Goshawk Ln. The property owner is in the process of building a house at this location. Currently, the residence is only framed, and there`s no way to secure anything. Sometime during the last few days, someone came onto the property and stole a Dewalt chop saw valued at around $700 and a Bosch laser level valued at around $680. The property owner also said he had a red toolbox taken with approximately $200 in wrenches.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On June 13th, 2023 at around 9:17 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 32200 block of Powderhouse Rd for a report of a cold trespass. Deputies contacted the caller, who reported a neighbor kept coming onto their property riding horses and bringing friends. Deputies contacted the neighbor and advised him of his neighbor’s request that he did not come onto their property.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 VANDALISM - On Monday, June 12, 2023, at about 4:35 AM, deputies were dispatched to assist Corrections Deputies at the Benton County Jail at 190 NW 5th Street in Corvallis. Robin RINDFUSZ, 40, began acting erratically and caused damage to the Benton County Jail. RINDFUSZ was arrested and lodged at the Benton County Jail for Criminal Mischief 1.
WARRANT ARREST - On 6/11/2023 at 11:01 pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a silver 2006 BMW on Highway 34 near Riverside Dr. The operator, James Keith Mortensen (24) of Sweet Home, was arrested on an outstanding Lebanon Municipal Court warrant.
FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD - On 06/11/2023 at approximately 7:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 32300 block of Marys Peak Road for a report of a theft. Deputies contacted the victim by phone who said she had lost her wallet on Marys Peak on 06/02/2023 and recently saw that someone had attempted to use her debit card. At this point, there are no leads.
OTHER DOCUMENTATION - On Monday, June 11, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the area between milepost five and six on Lobster Valley Road, Alsea for suspicious circumstances. The person reporting said he found two human skulls in the creek. After too many hours of searching based on the caller’s descriptors and follow-up on 06/12/2023, it was determined the "skulls" were two rocks
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, June 10, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the area of 7300 NW Acorn Ridge Drive for a motor vehicle crash involving injury. The driver was traveling around a corner, taking it too sharp and ended up rolling the vehicle on the roof. The driver had a minor cut that was bandaged by Corvallis Fire Medics. The vehicle was recovered and towed.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, June 9, 2023, at approximately 8:30 AM, deputies responded to the intersection of Oak Creek Drive and NW 53rd Street, Corvallis for a non-injury crash. Deputies assisted the drivers with the information and exchange and arranged a tow for both vehicles.
THEFT 1 AGGRAVATED - On June 8, 2023 at 12:08 pm, deputies spoke with a resident by phone who reported her and her husband were involved in a scam on June 7, 2023. The scammer was able to talk the couple into withdrawing 30k. The money was then sent via Bitcoin and gift cards.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD - On June 8, 2023 at 9:43 am, deputies were dispatched to call a victim about a theft from her vehicle that occurred on 6/7/23 at Peavy Arboretum. An unknown suspect stole a purse and wallet from inside the vehicle. The suspect used the stolen debit card for a $1000 transaction at Walmart in Corvallis.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 8, 2023, at around 12:03 am, deputies contacted a 2006 Jeep Liberty parked at Monroe City Park and later arrested Amberlynn Briggs, 28, for a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for Failure to appear-Driving while suspended.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, deputies were dispatched to Bellfountain Road and Starr Creek Road, Corvallis for a motor vehicle crash involving possible injury. When deputies arrived they witnessed a red Toyota Prius and a beige-colored Toyota Corolla, that had been involved in a crash. Deputies spoke to both drivers and a juvenile who both made conclusive statements. Both drivers were evaluated by Philomath Fire Medics. Both vehicles were towed away.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle. After contacting the passengers of the vehicle, deputies learned that one of them had two fail-to-appear warrants from two separate counties. Brooke Daniels, 36, was arrested and issued new court dates for her warrants out of Multnomah and Clackamas counties.
VEHICLE RECOVERED FOR OTHER AGENCY - On June 5, 2023, around 6:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a possible located stolen vehicle. It was reported by an employee from a Lane County business, one of their stolen work trucks had driven through their job site on Highway 20, near Independence Highway. Deputies arrived at the truck a couple of minutes later and attempted to locate the driver by using a drone. After searching for about an hour, the search was called off and the suspect was not located. A short time later the manager from the business arrived on scene and deputies released the stolen vehicle to him.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Monday, June 5, 2023, at approximately 1:30 PM, deputies responded to the 27100 block of Stow Pit Road, Monroe for a report of a Dodge truck abandoned on the edge of the road. Deputies contacted the Dodge owner and arranged a tow for the Dodge to his family`s house. The owner, Colin Reeves was arrested on a Linn County warrant for Probation Violation DUII. At the Linn County Jail`s request, Reeves was issued a citation in lieu of custody and released.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Monday, June 5, 2023 at approximately 11:30 AM, deputies responded to the 100 block of SW 53rd Street, Corvallis for a reported suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies located a 1977 Porsche 924 that had been stripped of its interior and wheels. The Porsche was resting on the grass in the southwest corner of the parking lot. The vehicle was not listed as stolen, and deputies were unable to contact the registered owner of the vehicle. The property owners arranged for a tow truck to remove the vehicle from the property.
