Listed below are recent incidents responded to by the Benton County Sheriff's Office. This report does not reflect all Sheriff's Office activities and is updated as time and personnel allows.

10/19/18 - THEFT 2ND DEGREE.  On Wednesday, October 10th, 2018 at about 10:10 PM, deputies were dispatched to call a victim regarding a generator that was stolen from the south lot of the Benton County Fairgrounds on Saturday, October 6th, 2018.  The stolen generator is a red Honda EU2000I.
10/19/18 - BCSO ‑ TRAFFIC MOVING.  On Wednesday, October 17th, 2018, deputies were dispatched to the area of NW Highland Drive and NW Lewisburg Avenue for a driving complaint.  The complainant said he turned north on NW Highland Drive from NW Meadow Ridge Place and a vehicle tailgated him until Lewisburg Avenue.  He said he confronted the male driver who drove away North on NW Mountain View Drive.  He wanted the incident documented.  The vehicle is registered out of Bend.
10/19/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE.  On October 17, 2018 2:25 p.m., deputies gave a dog owner residing on Springhill Drive in Albany a warning for allowing his dog to run at large onto the neighbor's property.  The dog was not licensed so a deadline was given to get that completed.
10/19/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE. On Thursday, September 20, 2018 at approximately 10:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Hyak Park for a report of vandalism to the bathrooms. Dispatch reported someone had reported spray paint on the bathrooms at the park. They arrived and found no spray paint, but did find that someone had smeared feces around one of the bathrooms. Someone had also removed the traps to both bathroom sink drains. Deputies called the Benton County Parks Department and notified them of the damage.
10/18/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at about 6:19AM, deputies were dispatched to the 700 gate on Sulphur Springs Road for suspicious activity.  The caller reported a male shined a flashlight in his face and he felt "harassed". Deputies arrived and spoke with a man who was sitting in his vehicle and said he was waiting for the sun to come up and was going to leave.  Deputeis warned him about camping.
10/18/18 - FRAUDULENT USE OF A CREDIT CARD‑MISDEMEANOR.  On Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 at approximately 2:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to a Fraud Complaint. The victim said she had three fraudulent purchases on her credit card. She said two packages arrived at her house that she did not order and from a company she has never used. She canceled her card and said the charges are being reversed and she was sending the boxes back. She said she wanted to make a record incase this happens to her again.
10/18/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  On Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 at approximately 11:35 am, deputies were dispatched to speak with a citizen for a harassment. The woman explained she has been getting random text messages from an unknown sender for the past three years. She added that they are always from different numbers. Deputies told her to make sure her number is not shared on social media and to consider a change in phone number.
10/18/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Saturday, October 13, 2018, deputies were dispatched to a female who was suspicious, walking up to houses and knocking on doors wanting to come inside houses near the intersection of Hwy 34 and Honey Grove Road.  Deputies responded to the area and contacted a female walking Eastbound on Hwy 34. She had no idea how she got to Alsea, told deputies that she was from Eugene and just wanted to get back to her place.  She was identified as Aerica Kohler, 32, and had a confirmed felony warrant for her arrest out of Douglas County for a PV Heroin.  She was transported to the Benton County Jail where she was lodged.
10/17/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 at approximately 10:25pm, deputies arrested Anthony BARNO, 50, near NW 5th Street and Polk Avenue after they recognized him riding his bicycle in the area. BARNO was transported to the Benton County Jail, where he was booked and lodged on his warrant for failure to appear on a failure to appear charge and theft, second degree.
10/17/18 - PERMITTING UNLAWFUL OPERATION OF A VEHICLE. On October 16th, 2018 at about 7:20 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Willamette Avenue in Adair for a report of a juvenile riding a motorcycle in the street with no lights.  Deputies located the rider and his aunt. The boy promised he would never ride the motorcycle in the street again.
10/17/18 - BCSO ‑ TRAFFIC MOVING.  On Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 at approximately 8:14 am, deputies were dispatched to a Reckless Driving complaint. Deputies talked with the complainant regarding a traffic complaint she saw Monday. She said she was driving a school bus and stated "A guy in a red convertible passed me when my red lights were flashing." She wanted to have a citation issued to the driver but was unsure if the plate being given was correct. Deputies discussed the citation process with her and she did not want to go forward with it.
10/17/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 at approximately 8:23 am, deputies responded to a traffic crash at Hwy 20 near mile post 8. Car 2 was driving west and hit her brakes due to traffic conditions. Car 3 applied her brakes and attempted to move slightly north in her lane to avoid hitting car 2. Car 1 applied her brakes, passing car 3, causing minor damage to the car's front wheel arch. She continued Forward and struck the rear of car 2. Car 2 and car 3 where able to be driven, car 1 was towed as a result of damage.
10/17/18 - WARRANT ARREST; THEFT BY RECEIVING.  On October 16, 2018, at 3:47 AM, deputies stopped Justyn Peck, 24, on NW Tyler Avenue near NW 21st Street in Corvallis for Operation of an Unsafe Vehicle and Failure to Signal 100 Feet. Peck was cited and released on a confirmed warrant for Contempt of Court out of Lebanon Municipal Court, Bail $10,000. The back seat passenger, Jordan Swanson, 28, was cited and released on a confirmed warrant out of Sweet Home Municipal Court for Illegal Use of Credit Card, Bail $5,000. The front seat passenger, Jessica Hines, 26, was in possession of a wallet, identification and credit cards belonging someone else that she claimed was her friend. Deputies later determined the wallet was stolen out of Corvallis and the victim did not know the suspect.  Inside the wallet was receipts of fraudulent purchases.
10/17/18 - THEFT 3RD DEGREE.  On Thursday, October 11, 2018 at approximately 11:10 A.M., deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident on Northeast Pilkington Avenue in Corvallis regarding a theft of campaign signs.  The man said he had two, "Yes on 105," signs in his yard which had been stolen between 12:00 P.M., on October 10, and 9:00 A.M. on October 11, 2018.  He said he was going to get more signs and possibly a camera to monitor the signs and see who was taking them.  He said he did not know who may have stolen the other signs.
10/17/18 - UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF HEROIN; UNLAWFUL DELIVERY OF HEROIN.  On October 5th, 2018, deputies arrested THOMAS CALDWELL, 27, for Unlawful Possession/Delivery of Heroin after a traffic stop on Highway 20 near the Lincoln County line.  CALDWELL was in possession of about 20 grams of Heroin.  Caldwell was booked and released from the Benton County Jail.
10/16/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS ‑ 2ND DEGREE. On October 15, 2018, at 9:10 PM, deputies responded to Grange Hall Road in Philomath for a Criminal Trespass. Upon arrival, a resident reported that a woman was trying to move her belongings into an empty residence. She wanted the woman warned for trespassing and advised not to return.
10/16/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  On Monday, October 15, 2018 at about 4:30 P.M., deputies spoke with a complainant by phone. He said his neighbor in Monroe is growing marijuana in the backyard. He said he had to increase his Albuterol medication to clear up his breathing due to the smell. He was concerned the marijuana is affecting his health and said he thinks the neighbor has too many plants. Deputies told the man they would forward his concern on, to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission.
10/16/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Monday, October 15, 2018 at 2:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to a non‑injury roll over log truck crash on Luckiamute Road mile post 3.  The driver of Vehicle 1 was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured.  The driver of Vehicle 2 was driving south on Luckiamute Road when a bee flew into his shirt collar.  While trying to get the bee out, he drove off the roadway into the ditch and the loaded log truck came to a stop on its right side.  The truck took out a couple small maple trees and about fifty feet of tall deer field fence.
10/16/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY. On Monday October 15, 2018 at about 3:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 and Asbahr Ave for a crash involving three vehicles. Vehicle 1 stopped in the westbound lane of Highway 20 near Asbahr Ave.  Vehicle 2 was directly behind her. Vehicle 3 was directly behind Vehicle 2. Vehicle 2 rear‑ended Vehicle 1 after Vehicle 3 rear‑ended Vehicle 2, causing Vehicle 2 to rear‑end Vehicle 1, once more.
10/16/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Monday October 15, 2018 at about 7:15 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 and Independence Highway for an injury crash. Vehicle 1 turned east onto Highway 20 from Independence Highway. Vehicle 2 west on Highway 20 and crashed into Vehicle 1 as Vehicle 1 was turning onto Highway 20. Albany Medics transported the driver and passenger of Vehicle 1 and the vehicle was towed.
10/16/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On Sunday October 14, 2018 at about 3:15 P.M., deputies heard dispatch advise they were taking a call of a reckless driver traveling east on Highway 20 from the Garland Nursery. Deputies located and stopped the vehicle on Circle Blvd, near Four Acres Place, for failure to maintain lane. Arafat Maghrabi, 42, was arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving after it was determined he was unable to operate a vehicle safely.
10/16/18 - WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.  On Friday, October 12, 2018 at 3:44 PM, deputies saw ELOY SENCION, 21, in front of Dede's Lottery on NW 9th Street in Corvallis. Dispatch informed SENCION had a felony confirmed warrant out of Benton County Parole & Probation, PV – Abscond, No Bail. SENCION consented to a search of his duffel bag in which deputies located a glass pipe containing burnt residue that field tested presumptive positive for Methamphetamine. SENCION was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his warrant. SENCION was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Misdemeanor).
10/16/18 - ACCIDENT NON‑INJURY.  On Friday, October 12, 2018 at approximately 7:38 A.M., Vehicle 1 was driving east on Plymouth Drive near milepost 1 and was attempting to negotiate a curve.  Vehicle 1 was driving too fast for the conditions and drove off the south side of the road, into the ditch.
10/16/18 - FRAUDULENT USE OF A CREDIT CARD‑FELONY; THEFT 1ST DEGREE.  On October 10th, 2018 at about 4:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to contact a citizen in regard to a fraud.  She received an email claiming to be from her bank.  She answered personal questions in the email.  $1000.00 was stolen from her account.  There are no suspects,
10/16/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Oct. 10, 2018 at approximately 0900, Nathan Lopez, 33, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail lobby and indicated that he had an outstanding warrant for having missed an appearance at the Benton County Circuit Courthouse. A valid warrant was located and confirmed by Corvallis Police Records for FTA ‑ Strangulation, Misd, Bail $12,500, no matrix release. Lopez was cited and released with a new court date.
10/16/18 - RECKLESS DRIVING. On October 10, 2018, at 5:46 AM, deputies responded to Reiling Lane in Monroe for a Reckless Driver.  A resident reported a newspaper delivery driver was driving up and down the road recklessly every morning.  He said the delivery driver nearly ran him over when he tried to confront the driver about the driving. Deputies conducted an investigation and determined there was no probable cause to make an arrest.
10/15/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On October 15, 2018, at 1:34 AM, deputies contacted a man on Jackson Street near the employee entrance for the Law Enforcement Building. The man was captured on video reaching underneath patrol vehicles. None of the vehicles appeared to have any recent damage. The man told deputies he was there to grab the buttocks of female employees. Deputies searched the man and located an open 4-inch steak knife in his right front pants pocket. The man was advised he was not welcome to loiter around at the Law Enforcement Building and could only come to the building if he had a legitimate emergency. Deputies warned told the man he would be arrested if he returns without a justified reason.
10/15/18 - BCSO K9.  On October 14, 2018, at 2:38 AM, deputies arrived at Willamette Park, 1350 SE Goodnight Avenue in Corvallis, to assist the Corvallis Police Department with a K9 Search. CPD showed deputies a crashed vehicle and said the driver was involved in a Hit and Run traffic crash about 40 minutes prior. Deputies searched Willamette Park for about 30 minutes with K9 Brutus and did not locate anyone in the park. Corvallis Police Department located the suspect at a residence down the road a short time later.
10/15/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On October 13, 2018 at around 9:44 P.M., deputies were dispatched to 190 NW 4th Street, Benton County Jail, for a welfare check. Jerry CASTLE, 61, was at the jail's front door stating he needed to go to the hospital. The Corvallis Fire Department evaluated him and later transported CASTLE to the hospital. Deputies cited him on his warrant on scene.
10/15/18 - FAIL TO REPORT AS SEX OFFENDER.  On Saturday, October 13, 2018 at about 9:30 A.M., deputies went to S 19th Street in Philomath, to speak with Brandon Brady, 26.  Brady is a registered sex offender and did not register within 10 days of his birthday this year. The last address he registered at was S 19th Street. Deputies spoke to the homeowner who stated no one named Brandon has lived there in the past 40 years. Deputies requested the Benton County District Attorney’s Office issue a warrant for Failure to Report as Sex Offender for Brady.
10/15/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Saturday, October 13, 2018 at around 7:40 PM, deputies arrived on Mary's Peak Road near MP7 to an injury motorcycle crash.  Unit 1 was riding up Mary's Peak and crashed in a corner into the embankment causing serious injuries.  The rider was transported by Corvallis Fire Department to the top of Mary's Peak and he was airlifted to Good Samaritan Hospital due to his injuries. The motorcycle was towed.
10/15/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On October 13, 2018, Vehicle #1 was traveling east on Highway 20 near milepost 43. Vehicle #2 was traveling east on Highway 20 near milepost 43 in front of Vehicle #1. Vehicle #2 slowed for deer crossing the Highway, then stopped when the deer stopped in the roadway. Vehicle #1 did not stop and crashed into the back of Vehicle #2.  Medics evaluated the occupants in Vehicle #2. No one was transported to the hospital. Both vehicles were towed.
10/15/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Thursday, October 13, 2018, deputies were dispatched to the end of Goracke Road for a suspicious activity. They arrived and spoke to two people who stated they were re-arranging belongings in their vehicle and would move along.
10/15/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Saturday October 13, 2018 at about 12:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Coon Rd. for a motorcycle in the ditch. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the driver and his passenger. While negotiating a curve, he crashed his motorcycle into a ditch off Coon Rd, near Orchard St. The driver sustained a left shoulder injury and declined medical transport.
10/15/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  On Saturday October 13, 2018 at about 10:05 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the City Limits Country Store. A customer found about six used syringes in the trash can. Deputies disposed of the syringes appropriately.
10/15/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On October 12, 2018 at about 7:53 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle non injury traffic crash on Highway 99w near mp 88. Unit 1 was southbound on Highway 99w when a deer ran out in front of him. He struck the deer causing more than $2500 in damage to his vehicle. The driver was able to drive the vehicle from the scene.
10/15/18 - THEFT 2ND DEGREE.  On October 12, 2018 at about 6:00 pm, deputies spoke with a citizen by phone. She reported sometime in the last day an unknown subject stole the hard drive for her security camera system. The hard drive was kept in the living room. She explained she is home 95% of the time and does not know how someone got in. She explained she keeps all her doors locked with a dead bolt and secured with audible door wedges and her windows locked and secured with wooden dowels. She requested a drive by if any deputies are in the area.
10/15/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Friday, October 12, 2018 at about 1:30 P.M., deputies arrested Anthony Lloyd, 27, for a confirmed Probation Violation Warrant.  Anthony was escorted to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
10/15/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On October 12, 2018 at around 12:58 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle at SW 4th St and SW Washington Ave for operating a vehicle without headlights. The driver, Ricky BOULDEN, 58, was later arrested, cited and released for two confirmed warrants: Lebanon Municipal Court for Contempt DWS Violation, Bail $10,000; and Linn County Justice Court for Parole Violation FTA II, Bail $1503.
10/15/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR.  On Friday, October 12th, 2018 at about 12:20 AM, deputies recognized and stopped a driver recently arrested for DUII. TANNER LEININGER, 27, was issued a citation for Driving While Suspended after dispatch confirmed he was suspended.
10/15/18 - FOUND PROPERTY.  On October 12, 2018 at around 12:01 A.M, deputies contacted a man on the Law Enforcement Center parking ramp. He found a black bag at NW 4th St and NW Monroe Ave, which contained hypodermic needles. After further review of the contents, deputies found numerous needles and Insulin bottles. There were also medical insurance cards. Deputies attempted contact with the owner of the items and left a voicemail. They then put the cards and Insulin into evidence as safekeeping and disposed of the needles.
10/15/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Thursday, October 11, 2018 at about 3:06 P.M., Vehicle #2 was at the intersection of Camp Adair Road and Highway 99, facing east. Vehicle #1 was traveling north on Highway 99. Vehicle #2 did not see vehicle #1 and began crossing over Highway 99. Vehicle #1 attempted to stop and avoid collision. Vehicle #1 collided with the passenger side of Vehicle #2 trailer. Vehicle #1 was towed, no injuries were reported.
10/15/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE.  On Thursday, October 11, 2018 at about 12:25 P.M., deputies spoke to a citizen by phone. He stated someone shot the windshield on his pickup with a pellet gun or a BB gun, damaging the windshield. He stated it would cost about $100 to repair. He had no suspect information.
10/15/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER.  On October 11, 208 11:00 a.m., deputies transported a sick, abandoned kitten from the 300 block of N 7th street in Monroe to the Heartland Humane Society where she was impounded.
10/15/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Thursday, October 11, 2018 at about 10:30 A.M. Vehicle # 1 was driving south on Highway 99, near milepost 77. A bale of hay fell off a pickup traveling north on Highway 99. Vehicle #1 struck the hay bale, causing damage to the front of the vehicle. There were no injuries reported and the vehicle was towed. The pickup continued on apparently unaware of the lost bale of hay.
10/15/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday October 11th, 2018 at about 12:50 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 34 near milepost #1 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, DIANA HALL, 61, had two outstanding Warrants out of Lebanon Municipal Court for Contempt of Court and Probation Violation. HALL was issued a citation and was cited and released in the field.
10/15/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On October 11, 2018 at around 12:26 am, deputies contacted Cheyanne Sylvester, 19, and two others inside a vehicle parked at the RFP Store, near Monroe. Cheyanne said she was feeling sick and pulled over to vomit. Cheyanne had a Lane County Circuit Court Warrant for her arrest for FTA PCS Meth.  Deputies arrested Cheyanne for the warrant and transported her to the Lane County Jail in Eugene where she was lodged.
10/15/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at about 11:43 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W near milepost 100 for a vehicle crash. Unit 1 was driving north on Highway 99W and crashed into a power pole knocking power lines down on the east side of the highway. It was determined the driver was having a diabetic episode. The car was towed. Pacific Power was notified about the pole.
10/15/18 - IDENTITY THEFT; FRAUDULENT USE OF A CREDIT CARD-MISDEMEANOR; THEFT 2ND DEGREE.  On Wednesday, October 10, 2018, deputies were dispatched to contact a woman regarding fraudulent charges on her credit card. She said last Sunday there were two charges on her credit card through OSU Credit Union, totaling $300 to Nike.com. She said her Facebook account was recently hacked. She did not lose the card. There are no suspects.
10/15/18 - UEMV - UNLAWFUL ENTRY INTO MOTOR VEHICLE; THEFT 2ND DEGREE.  On Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at about 9:26 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Stovall Lane for a reported theft. A woman said the titles to two of her vehicles were missing. She said she had the titles in the glovebox and the cars were unlocked. There were no signs of forced entry. There was also a chair knocked over in her carport. No suspects.
10/15/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE.  October 8, 2018 11:51 a.m., deputies responded to Hidden Valley Road in Philomath for a dog at large and a thin horse. They secured the dog on the property. The horse was thin and has since then been relocated to a different residence where she is receiving proper care.
10/15/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On Friday, October 5th, 2018, at about 1:55PM, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on NW Independence Highway, near NW Springhill Drive. They arrived and found the vehicle unoccupied. They then went to the registered owner's residence who admitted to driving and arrested WARREN WOODS, 67, for Reckless Driving and Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. WOODS provided a breath sample at the Sheriff's Office with a result of .16%.
10/15/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On October 3, 2018 at around 04:06 am, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W for a traffic crash. Unit 1 was northbound on Highway 99W when he fell asleep. He drove off the roadway into a ditch and rolled the truck near the home on Highway 99W. He was not injured. He called a tow company to recover the pickup during daylight hours.
10/10/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING.  On Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at about 9:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 34 near Highway 20 for a report of a possible intoxicated driver. They arrived and later arrested the driver, Jessica Schindler, 28, of Oregon City, for DUII after it was determined she was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Schindler's blood alcohol content was 0.15%. Schindler was cited and released from the Benton County Jail.
10/10/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at approximately 9pm, deputies were dispatched to NE Elliott Circle for a wanted subject wishing to turn himself in.  They arrived and contacted Edward Riley, 57, who had a misdemeanor caution warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of harassment. Deputies cited and released him in lieu of custody, then transported Edward to Good Samaritan Hospital for a voluntary evaluation.
10/10/18 - SUSPICIOUS PERSON.  On Tuesday October 9, 2018 at about 1:30 P.M., deputies spoke with a female by telephone. She stated the evening prior, she and her friend, were in the parking lot of Monroe High School in a vehicle. She stated a male driving an older Volkswagen sedan pulled up next to them. She said the male was close enough to the point they couldn't open the door. She then stated they left the area and the male continued following them until her mother arrived in a separate vehicle. She said the male was Caucasian, wearing a red flannel and a hoodie underneath.
10/10/18 - UEMV - UNLAWFUL ENTRY INTO MOTOR VEHICLE; THEFT 2ND DEGREE.  On Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at about 9:26 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Stovall Lane in Philomath for a reported theft. The resident said the titles to tow of her vehicles were missing. She said she had the titles in the glovebox and the cars were unlocked. There were no signs of forced entry. There was also a chair knocked over in her carport. No suspects.
10/9/18 – VIOLATION OF RESTRAINING ORDER.  On Monday, October 8, 2018, at about 10:55 pm, deputies observed a vehicle parked in the Monroe Library parking lot and later arrested the driver, Anthony Owen, 28, for violating a restraining order. Owen was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
10/9/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE; THEFT 1ST DEGREE; UEMV - UNLAWFUL ENTRY INTO MOTOR VEHICLE.  On Monday, October 8, 2018 at around 6:00 PM, deputies spoke with a Monroe resident about someone breaking the back window out of his vehicle and taking items from it. He stated around $1220.00 worth of items were taken, including his USMC Flak vest and USMC Kevlar helmet. This happened sometime after 6:00 PM on 10/5/18 and before 5:00 PM on 10/7/2018. There is no suspect information at this time.
10/9/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On October 8, 2018 at around 12:19 A.M., deputies contacted David MARKET-BLYMILLER, 28, at the 7-11 on NW 9th St. MARKET-BLYMILLER had a confirmed Linn County Justice Court Warrant for Failure to Appear 2nd Degree, Bail $27,500. He was arrested, transported and lodged at the Linn County Jail.
10/9/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT.  On Sunday, October 7, 2018 at about 12:42 P.M., deputies were dispatched to NW Polk Avenue for a found dog. A dog had followed a citizen home while he was walking his dog. The dog was taken to Heartland Humane Society.
10/9/18 – DUII.  On Sunday, October 7, 2018, at about 2:30 am, deputies stopped a vehicle for failure to obey a traffic control device. They later arrested the driver, Kellan Holmberg, for DUII after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Holmberg had a blood alcohol content of 0.09%. Deputies gave Holmberg a courtesy ride to his residence.
10/9/18 – DUII.  On October 7, 2018, at 2:14 AM, deputies stopped Emily Breyer on Jefferson Street near 3rd Street in Corvallis for driving the wrong way on a one way. They later arrested Breyer for DUII after determining she was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Breyer was transported to the Benton County Sheriff's Office and her blood alcohol content was .12%. Breyer was cited and released to some friends.
10/9/18 – DUII.  On October 7, 2018, at 12:48 AM, deputies stopped Katelynn Gross, 25, on West Hills Road near Wooded Knolls Road in Philomath for Failure to Drive within Lane. They later arrested Gross for DUII after determining she was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Gross was transported to the Philomath Police Department and her blood alcohol content was .12%. Gross was cited and released to a sober roommate.
10/9/18 - SUPPLY CONTRABAND – WEAPONS.  On Saturday, October 6th, 2018 at about 9:05 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Jail regarding a custody being in possession of a knife while in the jail.  JOSHUA GAFFNEY, 47, had a silver Kershaw brand folding knife in the waist band of his pants until he was dressed out. GAFFNEY gave the knife to deputies. GAFFNEY was issued a citation for Supplying Contraband.
10/9/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Saturday, October 6, 2018 at approximately 4:42 P.M., deputies were was dispatched to Fish Hatchery Road. A neighbor stated the resident there was out of town and reported a strange vehicle at the residence, heard shooting from the property, and requested deputies respond to make sure everything was okay. Deputies responded and found a Boy Scout troop had been delivering firewood and the property owner's son was watching the home while he was out of town.
10/9/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Friday, October 5, 2018, around 8:20 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Old River Road near Dodge Island Road for suspicious activity. A resident who said she saw two males, wearing hooded sweatshirts, walking along Old River Road with a pistol and flashlights. She said she thinks they were associated with an older blue and grey pickup which was parked about a quarter mile north of Dodge Island Road. Deputies were unable to locate the males or the pickup.
10/9/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Friday, October 5, 2018, at about 6:20 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a car off the side of the road on Alsea Highway near MP 51. They arrived and located a vehicle off the road and on its top. The occupants were uninjured. Deputies provided a courtesy transport to Philomath. The car was towed.
10/9/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Friday, October 5, 2018 at 5:45 PM, deputies saw JAMIE NEIL, 49, in the parking lot of Days Inn on NW 9th Street in Corvallis. Dispatch informed that NEIL had multiple misdemeanor warrants for her arrest, which they confirmed. Deputies arrested NEIL and transported her to the Benton County Jail where she was booked on her warrants and released due to overcrowding.  WARRANT #1) Benton County Circuit Court, FTA DWS Misdemeanor, $15,000 Bail. WARRANT # 2) Linn County Circuit Court, PV DUII, No Bail.
10/9/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Friday, October 5, 2018 at around 4:30 PM, Vehicle #1 was traveling westbound on Highway 20 approaching NW Conifer Blvd. Vehicle #2 was also traveling westbound on Highway 20 in front of Vehicle #1. Vehicle #2 stopped for the traffic signal at NW Conifer Blvd. Vehicle #1 failed to stop and ran into the back of Vehicle #2. The driver of Vehicle 2 asked for medical personnel so she could be evaluated due to pain in her neck area. She was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital to be evaluated by Corvallis Fire Department. Neither car was towed from the scene due to damage from the crash.
10/9/18 - THEFT 3RD DEGREE.  On Friday, October 5, 2018, deputies were dispatched to Webster Avenue for a theft. They spoke with the resident who said sometime on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018, $40 worth of gasoline, her gas cap, and blue bath towels from the back yard were stolen. She does not have any suspect information.
10/9/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On October 5, 2018 at around 12:56 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 34 and Highway 20 for a reported non-injury crash. Unit 1 was traveling west on Main Street and was attempting to continue west on Highway 20 when she found herself in the turn lane to take her back onto Applegate Street. She was looking at her GPS, traveling around 40 mph and did not see the road make a sharp left turn. Her passenger side tire of her vehicle struck the curb causing the tire and hub assembly to detach from the vehicle. She slid across Applegate Street and into the ditch on the opposite side of the road. A tow company later arrived and towed the vehicle to their tow yard due to damage. She refused medical treatment and stated she was not injured.
10/9/18 - UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.  On October 4, 2018 at about 7:21 pm, deputies contacted Kelly Nurss, 56, asleep in her truck at the Monroe City Park. While speaking with Nurss, they observed a methamphetamine pipe inside the vehicle. They then asked for and received consent to search the vehicle.  Approximately 9.5 grams of methamphetamine was located inside. Nurss was issued a citation and released from the Sheriff's Office.
10/9/18 – HARASSMENT.  On October 4, 2018, at about 8:00 P.M., deputies were advised by a jail sergeant, of an assault that had occurred at the Benton County Jail. Taryn Gabbert, 29, was cited for Harassment after slamming a female inmate, headfirst into a table multiple times. The other inmate ended the altercation by placing Taryn into a headlock until she calmed down. The witnesses in the room saw nothing and both parties were immediately separated by deputies.
10/9/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On October 4, 2018, at about 7:30 P.M., deputies located James Knight, 47, behind Days Inn on NW 9th Street in Corvallis.  Knight had a confirmed State Parole Board warrant and was transported to Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
10/9/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 7:00 PM, deputies saw ANGELICA HART, 24, in the parking lot of Days Inn on NW 9th Street in Corvallis. Dispatch informed HART had a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court warrant for FTA PCS Methamphetamine, $15,000 Bail.  Deputies contacted and arrested HART and issued a criminal citation with a court date in lieu of custody for her warrant.
10/9/18 - FOUND PROPERTY.  On Thursday, October 4th, 2018, deputies were dispatched to Highway 34 near Gellatly Way for a found bicycle. Deputies checked the serial number through dispatch who said it was not reported stolen. They then brought the bicycle to the Benton County Sheriff's Office and entered it into evidence as found property.
10/9/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  On Thursday, October 4, 2018 at around 12:00 PM, deputies responded to Crystal Lake boat launch to assist a man with recovering his boat that was sunk in front of Michael's Landing. They used the River Wild marine boat, righted the capsized boat, and towed it to Michael's Landing for him to load up on his trailer. The back of the boat was torn loose from the motor from turning too quick. The man said the back of the boat tore away after he turned too fast near the Mary's River confluence.
10/9/18 - DOG BITE.  On October 4, 2018 a cold dog bite was reported. The dog lives on NE Granger in Corvallis. The dog is current on her rabies vaccination. The owner was warned about failure to report a dog bite and failure to quarantine a dog. The dogs are not currently licensed so a deadline was given to get that completed.
10/9/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On September 21, 2018, at about 6:00 P.M., deputies spoke to a woman regarding a deceased dog found on a Mary's Peak Road. Sarah's dog located a garbage bag with a deceased dog inside.
10/9/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On September 20, 2018, at about 6:20 p.m., deputies responded to a motor vehicle driving complaint on Highway 99W near Airport Road. Jennifer Hyde, 45, was arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving. She was transported to GSH by medics for evaluation. A telephonic search warrant for blood was obtained. The nurse advised they would be keeping Jennifer for treatment due to her toxicology result of .47% BAC. She was cited and left at Good Samaritan Hospital.
10/5/18 - RECOVERED MOTOR VEHICLE FOR OTHER AGENCY.  On Thursday, October 4, 2018 at about 9:10 A.M., deputies were dispatched to North Albany Park for a report of an abandoned vehicle. After running the vehicle VIN, they discovered it was stolen out of Albany.
10/5/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On October 3, 2018 at about 5:49 pm, deputies were dispatched to a three-vehicle non-injury traffic crash on Highway 20 near Davis Family Farm. Unit 1, 2, and 3 were westbound on Highway 20 in stop and go traffic. Unit 1 stated she was distracted and didn't see vehicle 2 stopped in front of her. Unit 1 rear-ended Unit 2, who in turn rear-ended Unit 3. All vehicles suffered minor damage and were driven from the scene.
10/5/18 - THEFT 3RD DEGREE; BURGLARY 1ST DEGREE.  On Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at about 7:17 pm, deputies were dispatched to phone a Monroe resident. The woman reported someone took a box of old miscellaneous files and bills from her bedroom closet and her desk. The last time she saw them was in late June before she left for a vacation. She noticed them missing a few weeks ago. There was no sign of forced entry and nothing else was missing. She had outside video surveillance and did not see anyone on that video. She also has inside motion-activated cameras inside her home. The system was “tripped”, but there was no associated video file for it.
10/5/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On 10/03/2018, Unit 1 crashed into the back of a Unit 2, which was stopped, waiting for a vehicle in front of him to turn across traffic on SW Philomath Boulevard. Unit 3 was unable to stop in time and hit the back of Unit 1. Unit 1 was towed and the other 2 were able to drive away from the scene.
10/5/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On September 25th, 2018 at about 6:50 PM, Unit 1 was driving south bound on Highway 99W. Unit 2 was a bus on Greenberry Road and stopped at the intersection of Greenberry Road and Highway 99W. Unit 1 attempted to turn west bound onto Greenberry Road and failed to execute the right turn onto Greenberry Road properly, striking the bus. There were 5 people on the bus and 6 people in the Chrysler. The driver of Unit 1 was cited for improperly executed right turn.
10/3/18 - ATTEMPT TO ELUDE - FLEE IN VEHICLE; DUII OF DRUGS; RECKLESS DRIVING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING.  On October 2, 2018, at 10:48 PM, deputies responded to Highway 99W near Adair Village regarding a reckless driver. The caller reported a vehicle traveling southbound at speeds estimated over 100 miles per hour through the Oregon Department of Transportation Construction Zone. Deputies located the vehicle on Highway 99W near Conifer Boulevard. The driver, Tammy Flatman, 49, attempted to elude deputies and was ultimately taken into custody on 4th Street near Jackson Avenue in Corvallis. Flatman was charged with DUII, Reckless Driving, Attempt to Elude by Vehicle and Reckless Endangering.  Flatman was cited and released from the Benton County Jail.
10/3/18 – WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, October 2, 2018, deputies were dispatched to NW Highway 99W for a suspicious person. SHAWN HARRIS, 26, had a confirmed felony warrant for a Parole Violation out of the Lincoln County Circuit Court. Harris was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
10/3/18 - THEFT 2ND DEGREE.  On Monday, October 1, 2018 at about 9:24 am, deputies spoke with a resident on NE North Nebergall Loop. He reported that an aluminum canoe was stolen from the bank of the Willamette River, north of this residence, sometime between September 22, 2018 to September 27, 2018. Both the Identification number and brand are unknown.
10/3/18 - ABANDONED VEHICLE.  On Monday, October 1, 2018 at about 9:08 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 34 near Highway 501 for an abandoned travel trailer. Oregon State Police was contacted for tow request due to it being along a state highway.
10/3/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE; OFFENSIVE LITTERING.  On Sunday, September 30, 2018, deputies spoke with a resident who reported that he is currently building a fence and his neighbor Julia Sunkler, 54, is removing survey posts, depositing pig manure, cutting fence/property line rope, and placing signs on their gate.  Sunkler was later arrested, cited, and released for two counts of Criminal Mischief II and two counts of Offensive Littering.
10/3/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO CHASE LIVESTOCK.  On September 28, 2018, deputies gave a dog owner living on Price creek Road in Philomath a warning. The warning was for two of his dogs chasing the neighbor's horses. The horses were not injured. The livestock owner chose not to have a citation issued. The dogs were not licensed so a deadline was given to get that completed.
10/3/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On September 25th, 2018 at about 5:32 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Dari Mart in Monroe for a report that man had possibly threatened someone with a knife. Deputies spoke to a woman who stated man was walking around wearing a coat she had lost the day prior. She said she confronted the man and he gave her coat back to her. She said the man then pulled a knife out of his pocket and held it out toward her and asked if she wanted to buy it.
10/3/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; RESISTING ARREST; ATTEMPTED ASSAULT OF A PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER; DISORDERLY CONDUCT II.  On Friday, September 21st, 2018 at about 2:25 AM, deputies saw a vehicle driving west on Western Blvd near 26th Street at a high rate of speed. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as KENZIE STUBBLEFIELD, 22. STUBBLEFIELD was arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving. During the arrest STUBBLEFIELD resisted arrest and kicked a deputy. STUBBLEFIELD was transported and lodged in the Benton County Jail for DUII, Reckless Driving, Resisting Arrest and Attempted Assault on a Peace Officer.
10/2/18 -WARRANT ARREST.  On October 1, 2018, at 11:30 PM, deputies contacted William Spann, 48, on Highway 99W in Monroe. Spann had three confirmed cite and release warrants for: Benton County Circuit Court, Failure to appear/ Theft II, Bail $10,000; Benton County Circuit Court, Failure to appear/ Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor, Bail $10,000; Lebanon Municipal Court, Contempt of Court/ Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor, Bail $10,000. Spann was cited and released.
10/2/18 - THEFT 3RD DEGREE.  On Monday, October 1, 2018 at about 12:55 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the lobby of the law enforcement building. Upon arrival, they spoke with a victim about a theft, which occurred at the Greyhound Bus Station in Corvallis. She stated someone stole her black handbag that contained miscellaneous personal items and a blanket. She said she later found her blanket somewhere in Corvallis, but is unable to find her handbag.
10/2/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Sunday, September 30, 2018 at about 7:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 34 near milepost 51 for a single vehicle crash. The driver lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve and crashed head-on with a tree. The car was towed.
10/2/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE; WARRANT ARREST.  On Sunday, September 30, 2018 at about 3:55 P.M., deputies were dispatched to SW West Hills Rd. for a reported trespass. Bailey Chisholm, 20, was arrested and lodged at the Benton County Jail for Criminal Trespass II, and two confirmed Corvallis Municipal Warrants for Criminal Trespass II and Criminal Tampering.
10/2/18 - OFFENSIVE LITTERING.  On Sunday, September 30, 2018, at approximately 7:33 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Independence Road and Metge Avenue for report of Offensive Littering. They contacted the complainant who told them he observed the occupant of a Blue Chevrolet pickup throw a large cardboard box onto the shoulder of the road. Deputies contacted the registered owner of the vehicle by telephone who apologized and agreed to return to the area and pick up the box first thing in the morning.
10/2/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On September 30, 2018 at around 12:52 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle at NW 13th St and NW Harrison Blvd for a lighting violation. The driver, Megan Proctor, 27, was later arrested, cited and released for a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court warrant for DUII, Bail $10,000.
10/1/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC MOVING.  On September 29, 2018 at about 4:10 pm, deputies responded to a road rage incident that occurred on 4th St near C Ave. Unit 1 unknowingly cut off unit 2 while attempting to change lanes. In retaliation, driver 2 slapped the driver's side mirror of unit 1 while passing on his motorcycle. No damage was done to the mirror and unit 1 only wanted unit 2 "talked to". The driver of unit 2 was warned this behavior was unacceptable and could end in an arrest.
10/1/18 - ATTEMPT TO ELUDE - FLEE IN VEHICLE; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On September 29, 2018 at around 7:10 P.M., deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop at Highway 99 and milepost 76 for traveling 109 mph. Abdullah ALJABRI, 25, failed to stop and passed vehicles in the oncoming lane as well as the shoulder of the road. ALJABRI finally stopped at Highway 99 near milepost 69 and was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Benton County Jail and cited for Attempt to Elude-Vehicle, Reckless driving and various other traffic violations. He was released due to jail overcrowding.
10/2/18 - BCSO - DOG AT LARGE.  On Saturday, September 29, 2018 at about 2:37 pm, deputies observed a golden retriever cross Lewisburg Avenue near the Fire Station. Deputies called the owner who met them and retrieved the dog. The dog owner was informed that she needs to license her dog with Benton County.
10/2/18 - CONTEMPT OF COURT.  On Saturday, September 29, 2018 at about 12:25 P.M., deputies arrested Karl Poage, 56, for violation of a restraining order. Poage was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail.
10/2/18 - OFFENSIVE LITTERING.  On September 29 about 12:00 P.M., deputies spoke with a man by telephone. He stated sometime between the evening of September 28 and early that morning, someone dumped a couch, carpet and wood material on his property. He stated he would dispose of the material properly.
10/2/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  On Saturday, September 29, 2018 at about 1:25 P.M., deputies spoke with a resident by telephone. On September 28, he discovered one of his Holstein cows were missing. He last saw the cow on September 27 and valued the cow at $800. He stated Mary's River Watershed Counsel has been on his property to access the river behind his residence in the past. He believes one of the workers may have left his gate unlocked while accessing the river through one of his gates, allowing the cow to roam freely.
10/1/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On September 29, 2018 at around 4:00 A.M., deputies contacted Anthony Barno, 50, behind Shari’s Restaurant on 9th Street.  Barno had a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree., bail $3,500). Barno was cited and released at the request of the Benton County Jail.
10/2/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR.  On September 29th, 2018, deputies arrested TRAVIS GRIFFIN, 49, for Driving while revoked misdemeanor after a traffic stop on Highway 20 at the Lincoln County line.
10/2/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On 09/28/2018, Rylie Hansen, 25, turned herself in at the jail lobby for a confirmed warrant for FTA-Theft II, bail of 10000-00. Hansen was issued a new court date.
10/2/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Friday, September 28, 2018 at about 4:25 P.M., deputies located Matthew Sedenius, 33, under the bridge at Takena Landing. Matthew was arrested for two confirmed warrants out of Tillamook County for FTA-Violation Release Agreement, $3,000 Bail and Lincoln County - FTA Hit/Run, Ciminal Mischief II, $3,002 Bail. Matthew was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and released.
10/2/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  On Friday, September 28, 2018 at about 7:40 A.M., deputies located a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road at NW Valley View Drive and Scenic Drive. Due to the unsafe location of the vehicle, deputies parked their patrol car behind it and directed traffic around the vehicle and it was towed.
10/2/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Friday, September 28, 2018 at about 6:55 A.M., deputies were dispatched to NW Springhill Drive. The person calling dispatch thought they saw someone with a flashlight inside, or outside of the residence. The caller also stated he was not sure if he saw a person, or just the light. Deputies arrived and saw no one outside. All the doors and windows were locked and closed.
10/2/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On September 27, 2018 at around 10:24 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of NE Laurel Drive for a reported suspicious vehicle. Deputies arrived and contacted a man sleeping in his vehicle.  He said he was watching a movie and fell asleep. He stated he was using WIFI from one of the surrounding houses and agreed to leave and not steal WIFI any longer. He lives about one block away.
10/2/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On September 27, 2018 at about 7:27 pm, deputies were dispatched to a possible two-vehicle injury traffic crash at Arnold and William R Carr in Adair. Unit 1 was westbound on Arnold when he struck Unit 2, who was northbound on William R Carr. A witness on scene stated Unit 1 never came to a complete stop. When questioned, Unit 1 did not remember stopping for the stop sign.
10/2/18 - ABANDONMENT OF A DOG.  On September 27, 2018 2:58 p.m., deputies transported two stray, abandoned dogs from the Alsea Campground in Alsea, to the Heartland Humane Society where they were impounded. Neither was wearing a collar nor were they micro-chipped.
10/2/18 - BCSO - LIVESTOCK AT LARGE.  On September 25, 2018 I gave a warning to a pig owner living on Seavy Ave. The warning was for his pig running at large onto the neighbor's property. It appears the pig did not cause any damage.
10/2/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Sept. 20, 2018 at approximately 1317, Phillip Moullet reported to the Benton County Jail lobby and indicated he had an outstanding warrant for having missed a court appearance at the Benton County Circuit Courthouse. Deputies cited and released Moullet on the following confirmed warrants: 1) Benton County Circuit Court, FTA - pcs meth, escape III, interfering, dis con II, Bail $30k; 2)Benton County Circuit Court FTA - assault IV, dis con II, No Bail; 3) Central Linn Justice Court, Contempt - FTA II, Bail $7,500; and 4) Albany Municipal Court, FTA - trespass II, Bail $6,430.
10/2/18 - PUBLIC NUISANCE.  On September 28, 2018, deputies gave a warning to a dog owner living on Kings Valley Highway in Philomath. The warning was for her dogs barking and disturbing a neighbor.
10/2/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Tuesday, September 25th, 2018 at about 4:10 PM, deputies were dispatched to Marys Peak Road for a report of a vehicle crashed into a tree with nobody around it. Deputies arrived a short time later and called a tow truck to the location.
10/2/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On September 23rd, 2018 at about 8:00 PM, Unit 1 was turning south bound off of Metge Avenue when accelerated too quickly, hit gravel in the middle of the road, and crashed into the south bound ditch. The vehicle was towed.

9/27/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On September 26th, 2018 at about 6:50 PM, deputies made contact with JUVENTINO PLASCENCIA-AREVALO, 37, at his home in Corvallis, for confirmed warrants out of Benton and Marion Counties.  Plascencia-Arevalo was wanted out of the Benton County Circuit Court for failure to appear on the original charge of Strangulation, with a bail of $20,000.00.  The second warrant was out of Marion County Circuit Court for failure to appear on the charges of Criminal Mischief II, Possession of a Forged Instrument II, Giving False Info x2, and Possession of Methamphetamine, with a bail of $160,000.00.  Deputies arrested Plascencia-Arevalo, booked him into the Benton County Jail, and was released a short time later due to the jail being full.

9/27/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at about 4:00 P.M., deputies contacted Darrell Berry, 39, in the Parole and Probation lobby. Berry had a confirmed warrant out of Lane county Circuit Court for Contempt of Court, $5,000 Bail. Berry was cited and released from the Benton County Jail.
9/27/18 - BCSO - DOG AT LARGE.  On September 25, 2018 9:02 a.m., deputies transported a dog from 2200 block of Dawnwood in Philomath to the Heartland Humane Society where he was impounded. He was not wearing a collar. He was micro chipped.
9/27/18 - ANIMAL WELFARE CHECK.  On September 24, 2018 11:59, deputies performed a welfare check on a dog living on Gellatly Way in Philomath. The complainant thought the dog had been abandoned. The dog had not been abandoned. The dog was in good body condition, healthy and minimum care requirements were being met.
9/27/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On Sunday, September 23, 2018, at about 11:10 pm, deputies stopped a vehicle for failure to maintain its lane. Jonathan Marsh, 29, was arrested for DUII after it was determined he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Marsh was cited and released from the Benton County Jail.
9/27/18 - UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA LESS THAN 1 OUNCE.  On Sunday, September 23, 2018, at about 10:00 pm, deputies spoke with Brayan Romero, 19, near NW Michelle Drive and cited him for MIP Marijuana.
9/27/18 - BURGLARY 1ST DEGREE; CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE.  On Sunday, September 23, 2018 at about 1:13 P.M., deputies were dispatched to N. 10th Street in Monroe for a trespass. The complainant reported Eric Shetka, 42, was sitting in his house when he got home from his vacation. Deputies arrested Shetka for Burglary I, Criminal Trespass II, and Criminal Mischief II. Shetka was transported to, and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
9/27/18 - THEFT 3RD DEGREE - BY DECEPTION.  On Friday, September 21, 2018 at about 9:23 am, deputies spoke with a woman by phone who reported that her daughter was talked into providing a $50.00 iTunes gift card to an unknown person she met on social media. The person was posing as “Slash” from the music band Guns and Roses.
9/27/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE.  On September 19th, 2018 at about 4:35 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Shops for two males Trespassing. They located two males holding signs indicating, "FREE FROM UNIONS." Deputies informed them they were Trespassing on county property and could stand on the sidewalk, both males stated the county property was, "PUBLIC." Deputies informed them it was not public and they could not block the entrance, they said they were only, "PASSING OUT INFORMATION THROUGH WINDOWS." Both males complied and moved to the sidewalk.
9/27/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at about 12:05 P.M., Gabriel Silvio Farrow, 60, was located at the Sheriff's Office and arrested for a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court warrant, PV - Abscond, No Bail. Farrow was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
9/27/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC /PARKING.  On Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at about 9:10 am, deputies arrived at NW Terrace Drive and NW Dumbeck Avenue concerning a vehicle that was partially blocking Terrace Drive. The owner of the vehicle said she would have her son move it.
9/27/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at about 7:10 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Bald Hill Park for a single vehicle crash. The driver crashed his vehicle near Bald Hill Park, causing damage to signs, fencing and another vehicle. The vehicle was towed.
9/27/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On 8/15/18, Benajmin Martinez, 34, reported to the lobby of the Benton County Jail for a confirmed warrant for FTA Criminal Trespass II.  Martinez was cited and released with a release agreement issuing a new court date.
9/25/18 - FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES-INJURY; ASSAULT 3RD DEGREE.  On Monday, September 24, 2018, at about 12:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to contact a citizen regarding a hit and run that occurred on Saturday, September 22. She said she was running south on Mountain View Drive when something struck her in the back of the head causing her to fall. She said when she got up she saw a cream-colored truck with possibly a blue or green stripe, approaching the stop sign at Lewisburg Avenue. No investigative leads at this time.
9/25/18 - ABANDONED VEHICLE.  On Monday September 24, 2018 at about 10:08 am, deputies tagged a vehicle as an abandoned at North Albany Park.
9/25/18 - PUBLIC INDECENCY.  On Sunday, September 23, 2018 at around 11:50 AM, a male came into a building next to the fire station that a fundraiser garage sale was being held for Santiam Christian Schools. The male, reported to be in his late 50's around 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, asked to try on some clothes and came back out with a blanket covering himself with his genitals exposed. The male left due to other customers coming into the building. The male came back around 5:40 PM, but a call to the Sheriff’s Office was not made until the male left again. The male was driving a dark colored SUV. No further information at this time.
9/25/18 - PUBLIC NUISANCE.  On September 21, 2018, deputies gave a warning to a dog owner living on Lone Star Road in Philomath for her dog barking at night and disturbing a nearby neighbor. The dogs were not licensed so a deadline was given to get that completed.
9/24/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On September 23, 2018 at around 9:02 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 223 near milepost 25 for a reported single vehicle, which struck an elk. Unit 1 was traveling north on Highway 223 at around 55 mph. As Unit 1 crested over a hill, a female elk crossed the roadway from the east and was struck. Unit 1 was towed and both occupants refused medical treatment on scene.
9/24/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On September 22, 2018 at around 3:01 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle on NW Monroe Ave and NW 14th St for failure to obey a traffic control device. The driver, Yunis OMER, 21, was later arrested, cited and released for DUII and Reckless Driving after it was determined he was unsafe to operate a motor vehicle following Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
9/24/18 – DUII.  On Friday, September 21, 2018, at about 11:18 pm, deputies arrived at a traffic stop at 29th and Harrison.  Lydia Reardon, 20, consented to and failed voluntary standardized field sobriety tests. She was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and was transported to the Benton County Sheriff's Office and then transported her back to her home, because there was no room in the Benton County Jail.
9/24/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1ST DEGREE.  On Friday, September 21, 2018 at about 2:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the rock Creek water treatment plant on Rock Creek Road. A vehicle with a male, female, and a dog were locked behind the gate. When deputies arrived, they spoke to two employees who stated it appeared the driver did not know the area was restricted and drove through the opened gate.  No suspect information.
9/24/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Thursday, September 20, 2018, at about 3:10 P.M. Vehicle #3 was stopped on Highway 99 in the southbound lane, waiting to turn left onto West Ingram Island Road. Vehicle #2 was stopped behind Vehicle #3. Vehicle #1 approached Vehicle #2 from behind. Vehicle #1 did not notice Vehicle #2 was stopped. Vehicle #1 attempted to stop, but collided with the rear of Vehicle #2. Vehicle #2 was pushed into Vehicle #3. The Driver of Vehicle #3 was transported by medics. Vehicle #1 was towed.
9/24/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES-PROPERTY; DWS MISDEMEANOR.  On Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at about 8:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to NW Highway 99W for a person that had seen a motorcycle hit a car at Highway 99W and Lewisburg Road and leave. Deputies spoke to Tony McClung, 47, who was heavily intoxicated. He was arrested and ultimately transported to the jail, where he was booked and lodged.
9/24/18 - DUII OF DRUGS; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On Monday, September 17, 2018 at approximately 11:40 P.M., deputies stopped EDDIE LAWSON, 18, for Unlawful use of Headlights at 9th Street and Polk Avenue in Corvallis. Deputies observed indicators of impairment and later arrested EDDIE for DUII and RECKLESS driving after determining he was too impaired to operate a motor vehicle.  Lawson was cited and released to a sober party.
9/24/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  Alberto Nunez, 26, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail Lobby on 09/14/18 on a confirmed warrant for FTA-PCS HEROIN, ESCAPE III. Nunez was cited and released.
9/24/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On September 13, 2018 at about 4:48 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle traffic crash on Scenic near Palestine. Unit 1 was southbound on Scenic when the driver stated he fell asleep due to narcolepsy. He entered the west ditch and struck a driveway culvert. The vehicle was towed from the ditch. No injuries.
9/24/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On September 7, 2018, Jail Deputies served a confirmed Corvallis Municipal Court warrant on Donald Resue, 25, for FTA, Violent Conduct.  Resue was cited and released with a new court date.
9/24/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On September 6, 2018, Jail Deputies served a confirmed warrant on Bethany Fort, 32, out of Benton County Circuit Court House for FTA-Harassment. Fort was cited and released with a new court date.
9/21/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Friday, September 21st, 2018, deputies responded to a three vehicle motor vehicle crash at Highway 99W and Llewellyn Road. Unit 1 attempted to turn North onto Highway 99W from Llewellyn Road and didn’t see Unit 2 traveling south on Highway 99W. Unit 1 hit the right rear of Unit 2, which caused that vehicle to travel into the North bound lane of Highway 99W. Unit 2 hit the northbound vehicle of Unit 3. A passenger sustained apparent minor injuries. All three vehicles were towed from the scene.
9/21/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER.  On September 20th, 2018 at about 11:26 P.M., deputies were westbound on Highway 20 near milepost 47 when they saw an injured adult cat in the middle of the eastbound lane of Highway 20. They placed the cat on a blanket and transported it to Willamette Veterinary Hospital in Corvallis. The cat was micro-chipped and deputies were told they would attempt to contact the owner.
9/21/18 – WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday, September 20, 2018 at about 10:25 A.M., deputies arrested Taryn Gabbert, 29, based on a Probable Cause Affidavit from Philomath Police Office. Officers had probable cause to arrest Gabbert for Unlawful Posession of Herion, Identity Theft x7, and Unlawful Entry into a motor vehicle. Deputies transported Gabbert to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged.
9/21/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday, September 20, 2018 at about 10:05 A.M., deputies located Laila Rain, 53, in the tree farm on West Hills Road. Rain had two confirmed warrants for her arrest for FTA, Open Container x 2, 5,000 Bail. Rain was issued a court date for each of them and released.
9/21/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday, September 21, 2018 at about 9:00 A.M., deputies located Julie Smith, 48, in the wooded area near 53rd Street and Philomath Boulevard. Smith was arrested on multiple confirmed warrants out of Harney County Circuit Court: FTA - FTA II x3, $15,000 Bail. Smith was transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged.
9/21/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at about 1:15pm, detectives arrested REBEL TESTER, 31, at the Western Market on Western Boulevard, for confirmed warrants out of Benton County. REBEL was cooperative with the arrest but denied he was REBEL TESTER and remained verbally defiant. Deputies transported REBEL to the jail where he was booked and lodged.
9/21/18 - SURRENDER ANIMAL.  On September 19, 2018 11:45 a.m., deputies transported two surrendered cats from Alpine Road in Monroe to the Heartland Humane Society where they were impounded.
9/21/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  Miranda Christensen turned herself into the lobby of the Benton Co Jail on 9/18/18 @ 1810 on a Benton Co Circuit Court confirmed warrant, FTA Harassing Communications, Bail 7500-00. Due to housing limitations, the subject was issued a new court date and time to appear.
9/21/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at about 1:05 pm, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Bellfountain Road and Llewellyn Road for an injury traffic crash. The driver and passenger of Unit 1 was not injured and the driver of Unit 2 was taken to Good Samaritan ER.
9/21/18 - THEFT 1ST DEGREE.  On Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at about 11:55 am, deputies spoke with a victim on the telephone. She said she was having a garage sale in front of her house on Airport Road in Corvallis over the weekend. She reported that she went outside on Sunday, September 21, 2018 around 7:00 am, and found about $3000.00 worth of jewelry had been taken. She saw the jewelry Saturday night around 9:00 pm. The jewelry had been left outside on foldable tables for the next day.
9/21/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Saturday, September 15, 2018 at approximately 8:05 P.M., deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 20 near Milepost 47. Deputies had previously assisted the vehicle and its occupants with a flat tire on Highway 20 near milepost 38. The front seat passenger had a confirmed felony warrant through the Oregon State Parole Board. Deputies arrested the passenger, Samuel Louise Watkins, 26, and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was then transported to the Marion County Jail by jail deputies.
9/19/18 - RECKLESS DRIVING; ATTEMPT TO ELUDE - FLEE IN VEHICLE; ATTEMPT TO ELUDE - FLEE ON FOOT; DWS MISDEMEANOR; WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at 11:43 PM, Benton County Sheriff's Office Deputies arrested Cameron Hankins, 20, of Corvallis, for Reckless Driving, Attempt to Elude - Flee in Vehicle, Attempt to Elude - Flee on Foot, Driving While Suspended, and a Warrant Arrest out of Linn County for Contempt of Court/Failure to Comply. Deputies attempted to stop the driver of a motorcycle for no taillight on Philomath Boulevard near 15th Street in Corvallis. Hankins did not stop and accelerated in speed, leading Benton County Deputies and Corvallis Police on a seven-minute pursuit throughout Corvallis. The motorcycle ultimately crashed at the intersection of SW 53rd Street and West Hills Road. Hankins fled the crash scene on foot and was taken into custody at his residence on Blueberry Drive a short time later. Hankins was cited into Benton County Circuit Court for the traffic crimes and lodged at the Linn County Jail on the warrant.
9/19/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Sept. 17, 2018 at approximately 1430, Donald Resue, 25, was arrested after a court appearance for confirmed warrants issued by Lincoln County Circuit Court and Albany Municipal Court. Warrants were served for: Albany Municipal Court, FTA-Theft III; Lincoln County Circuit Court, FTA Theft III. Resue was subsequently released from jail custody.
9/19/18 - BCSO - LIVESTOCK AT LARGE.  On September 18, 2018 12:49pm, deputies gave a warning to an animal owner residing on NE Hwy 20 in Corvallis. The warning was for allowing her goats, chickens and dogs, to run at large onto the neighbor's property.
9/19/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday, September 13, 2018, deputies saw JACOB MYERS, 23, near Campbell's Laundry on 9th Street in Corvallis. Deputies contacted and arrested MYERS for a confirmed warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Contempt – Theft III, $2,500 bail.  Deputies issued MYERS a criminal citation with a court date for the warrant.
9/19/18 - BCSO - DOG AT LARGE.  On September 2, 2018 at about 11:15am, deputies observed two Australian Shepard type dogs in the roadway on NW Independence Highway near NW Palestine Avenue. Both of the dogs were barking and circling a bicyclist. The owner of the dogs was issued a citation for dog at large.
9/18/18 - SUSPICIOUS PERSON.  On Monday September 17, 2018 at about 1:45 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the parking lot of a Corvallis church for a suspicious person. Dispatch advised there was a vehicle in the parking lot. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with a man who stated he was given permission by the pastor to park in the church parking lot.
9/18/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Monday, September 17, 2018 at about 10:20 am, deputies were dispatched to a camping site on the 100 Road approximately forty yards north of BLM South Fork Road. A woman called 911 and reported she may have saw human remains in trash bags at the campsite. Deputies went to the location and found the campsite she described. The bags in question were located and searched. The contents contained spoiled food, Christmas lights, a cooking pot and possibly chicken legs.
9/18/18 - DOG BITE.  On September 14, 2018 4:30 p.m., a man working on NE Granger Ave was bitten by a Border Collie type dog, running at large. No dog or owner information is known at this time.
9/18/18 - WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.  On Thursday, September 13, 2018 at about 10:00 A.M., deputies arrested Sarah Davis, 24, at the Days Inn in Corvallis. There was a glass pipe with burned residue and other drug paraphernalia located in the room rented to Sarah. Sarah was transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and released. Davis was also arrested on 3 confirmed warrants: Linn County Circuit Court, PCS Meth, No Bail; PCS Meth, Delivery of Meth, Delivery W/in 1000 Ft of School, No bail; Benton County Circuit Court, PCS Meth, PCS Hydrocodone, Freq. Place where controlled substances used, FTA II, Bail $40,000, No Matrix / No Release.
9/18/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE.  On September 11, 2018 12:24 p.m., deputies gave a dog owner on Cecil Lane in Alsea a warning. The warning was for her three dogs running at large.
9/17/18 – CURFEW.  On September 16, 2018, at 2:51 AM, deputies stopped two minors on Philomath Boulevard near Technology Loop in Corvallis for no bicycle lights. The minors were out past curfew. They were transported home and parents were notified.
9/17/18 - RECKLESS DRIVING; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES-PROPERTY.  On September 15, 2018, at 10:54 PM, deputies were dispatched to Cherry Creek Road in Monroe for a Reckless Driver. Multiple callers reported a dune buggy racing up and down the road. Upon arrival, they located a 2018 Can Am X3, crashed into a ditch. The driver, Donald Vroman Jr, 41, fled the crash scene on foot and was later located. Vroman was arrested for Reckless Driving and Failure to Perform Duties/ Property Damage. Vroman was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and released.
9/17/18 - BCSO - DOG AT LARGE.  On Saturday, September 15, 2018 at around 3:00 AM, deputies arrived on NW Kings Blvd near NW Circle Blvd. for a dog at large. A woman was out walking and saw the a dark colored Shepard wondering around in the street. Deputies placed a dog leash around the dog's neck and transported it to Heartland Shelter.
9/17/18 - OBTAINING CONTENTS OF COMMUNICATIONS.  On Friday, September 14, 2018 at about 7:00 A.M., deputies spoke to a Probation Deputy in the Sheriff's Office about one of the convicts on her caseload. Deputies arrested Scott Arundel, 33, for obtaining contents of communications after he secretly recorded her in the Probation Office on Thursday, September 13, 2018. Scott was cited and released to the jail.
9/17/18 - SUSPICIOUS PREMISES.  On Thursday, September 13, 2018, deputies were dispatched to Foster Road for an open door. The caller said he noticed the door was open and the home should be vacant. They arrived and saw a door to the outside utility room was open. Deputies cleared the unlocked residence and found nothing suspicious inside. There was a note on the door from a utility company saying they were there on September 10th, 2018.
9/17/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Thursday, September 13, 2018 at approximately 11:00 A.M., deputies spoke with a citizen regarding suspicious activity at her residence on Mary's River Estates Road. She said her daughter was home on Monday, and two men in an older Ford Truck came to the house and said they needed to check something with the heating system. She said these people did not have an appointment and she later called Hendrix Heating who said there were not going to be any follow up appointments, and these people were not with them. The men were described as one in their mid-50s and another who is about 26 years old. These men set up a follow up appointment before her daughter sent them away.
9/17/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Monday, September 10, 2018 at around 5:40 PM, Vehicle #1, was traveling northbound on Highway 223 near milepost 29. A vehicle two cars in front of him was making a right hand turn into a driveway. The driver decided to pass the cars and went into the oncoming lane to pass. As he approached the two cars, the second car decided to pass the car turning into the driveway. He did not want to hit the other car and drove off the west side of the roadway into the ditch area. The car was towed.  The driver had some minor scratches from the crash and refused to be transported.
9/17/18 - DUII OF DRUGS; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF HEROIN; FAIL TO CARRY/PRESENT ODL; RECKLESS DRIVING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING.  On Sunday, September 9, 2018 at about 1:15 p.m., deputies stopped DANIEL MCDONALD, 33, for failure to drive on right, and reasonable suspicious of DUII on the Alsea South Fork Access Road at about milepost 3. MCDONALD consented to field sobriety tests and failed.  MCDONALD was arrested and transported him to the Benton County Jail to be processed for DUII (controlled substance), Reckless Driving, Fail to Carry and Present License, Unlawful Possession of Heroin, and Reckless Endangering. MCDONALD was then cited and released.
9/17/18 – DUII; TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE – VANDALISM.  On September 8, 2018 at about 8:30 pm, deputies stopped Eric Strom, 30, on Highway 99 near Walnut in Corvallis and arrested him for DUII after it was determined he was impaired and unable to operate a motor vehicle safely. Strom refused to submit to a DRE Evaluation and was asked for a urine sample. Strom submitted to two samples after admitting to tampering with his first. He was issued citations for DUII and Tampering with Physical evidence and was released.
9/17/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE.  On September 7, 2018 at approximately 10:30 AM, deputies were dispatched to Grover Road for some people trespassing. Deputies contacted a the resident who told them that the people were camping on the end of Grover Road. Deputies then contacted three trespassers at the end of the road and told them that they could not camp on the property. They left the area.
9/17/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  Unit 1 was southbound on N 19th St near Industrial Way and struck a deer, which was crossing the roadway. The driver laid the motorcycle down and slid to a stop. The driver was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center/Emergency Room for injuries.
9/17/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE.  On September 1, 2018 at approximately 2:45 PM, deputies arrested Zachary Andruss, 23, for Criminal Trespass II. Andruss had trespassed on OSU Property by driving his vehicle behind the 200 Gate on Tampico Road and then been locked in when the gate was closed and locked by OSU.
9/14/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR; WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday September 13, 2018, at about 12:55 AM, deputies stopped and arrested MELONY IRENE SHOCKMAN, 44, for Driving While Suspended and on seven outstanding confirmed warrants out of four different agencies. 1) POLK COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT, F.T.A.- DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED; 2) LINN COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT, F.T.A. - DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED; 3) LEBANON MUNICIPAL COURT, PROBATION VIOLATION - CONTEMPT OF COURT; 4) ALBANY MUNICIPAL COURT, F.T.A.- DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED; 5) ALBANY MUNICIPAL COURT, F.T.A.- DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED; 6) ALBANY MUNICIPAL COURT, F.T.A.- DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED; 7) ALBANY MUNICIPAL COURT, F.T.A.- DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED.
9/14/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at about 8:30 p.m., dispatch broadcast a recklessly driven vehicle on Highway 34 near Milepost 6. The van stopped at 6th and Harrison Blvd. At about 9:30 p.m. Deputies saw the leaving the location as a bartender was yelling at the driver to stop and that he needed to take a cab. Deputies initiated a traffic stop and arrested Bret James Brusse, 50, for DUII and Reckless Driving.  Brusse was arrested and lodged at Benton County Jail.
9/14/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On September 10th, 2018 at about 5:55 PM, deputies were dispatched to 3rd St, Corvallis, for suspicious circumstances involving a male that was, "STRIPPING" a car. They arrived and contacted the suspect who said it was his vehicle and this is his boss’s property. Deputies explained to him about the call and he said he understood, no crime.
9/14/18 – DUII; ACCIDENT INJURY.  On September 9th, 2018 at about 4:08 PM, deputies responded to Alsea-Deadwood Highway near mile post 6 for a DUII Crash. Christopher Williams, 41, was south on Aslea-Deadwood Highway when he drove off the road. WILLIAMS was arrested and transported to the Sheriff's Office where he submitted a breath sample and then released with a citation.
9/13/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On 9/4/2018 Stephanie Wells, 31, turned herself in at the jail for a confirmed Benton Circuit court warrant FTA DUII, DWS misd. Due to jail overcrowding, she was issued a new court date and released.
9/13/18 –WARRANT ARREST.  On Wednesday September 12th, 2018 at about 6:30 PM, deputies stopped ANDREW GERALD WINDOM, 43, near the intersection of Highway 501 and Highway 34 after recognizing him and knowing he is Suspended. They contacted WINDOM and Dispatch advised he had a confirmed Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for F.T.A.- THEFT II. WINDOM was issued a citation to appear in Lebanon Municipal Court and the plates were seized because they were registered to a different vehicle than the one he was driving.
9/13/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On September 12, 2018 at about 3:41 pm, deputies were dispatched to a non-injury traffic crash at the intersection of Fern and Chapel, Philomath. Unit 1 was northbound on Fern attempting to turn east onto Chapel. He stated he "turned late", saw Unit 2 (school bus) and slammed on his brakes. Unit 1 slid into the bus, crashing into it just behind the front driver's side tire. The school bus had 17 children on board, nobody was injured. Unit 1 was towed do to damages. The children were loaded onto a second bus to continue the route.
9/13/18 - UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE.  On Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at about 1:45 P.M., deputies stopped a confirmed stolen vehicle driving south on 3rd Street near Kiger Island Drive. The female driver, Robin Lynn Josh, 56 and the male passenger Carlton Martin Morris, 30, were both arrested and lodged at the Benton County Jail for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. The vehicle was towed. The registered owner was notified where they could pick it up.
9/13/18 - ABANDONED VEHICLE.  On Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at about 10:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Mill Creek Park for an abandoned vehicle. This vehicle was previously called in on Monday. The vehicle was tagged for tow.
9/13/18 - THEFT 2ND DEGREE; BURGLARY 2ND DEGREE.  On Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at approximately 10:45 A.M., deputies arrived at Dragon Drive for a reported burglary at the Monroe Health Clinic. They spoke with an employee who stated that on Monday, September 10, someone broke into the health clinic and stole 200.00 dollars. The person entered through the front window and broke the latch. The person exited through a side door. No suspects.
9/13/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at about 9:40 A.M., deputies spoke to a school principal by phone. He wanted to report that a hollow point bullet was found on the school property. He was concerned because a bullet was found late last school year as well. He removed the bullet from the property before calling in and just wanted the incident documented.
9/12/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  On Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at approximately 8:28 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Independence Highway and Ryals Avenue to assist an elderly female, who had backed into a ditch. Deputies were able to pull the vehicle out of the ditch and back onto the road. There was no damage to her vehicle.
9/12/18 - BCSO - TRAFFIC MOVING.  On Tuesday November 11, 2018 at about 1:24 pm, deputies stopped a vehicle on Corvallis Road, north of Suver Road. The vehicle had previously been called in for passing in the center refuge on NW Highway 20. The driver stated he was late for a Tee Time at a golf course in Salem. He was issued a citation for VBR 80/55.
9/12/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at about 11:00 A.M., deputies located Jonathan Paul Wood, 45, near Water Avenue and Montgomery Street in Albany. Wood started running when he saw them. Deputies located Wood on a trail next to the river west of Montgomery Street.  Wood was transported to the Linn County Jail.
9/12/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Tuesday September 11, 2018 at about 8:45 A.M., deputies arrived to B&R Towing for an intoxicated person. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the couple from a previous report that day.  The two smelled strongly of alcohol and were visibly intoxicated. Their vehicle was towed and he wanted to retrieve it. Deputies explained that based on his intoxication level, he would need to leave until he was sober. They walked to the nearest bus stop.
9/12/18 - BCSO - TOWED VEHICLE.  On September 11, 2018, at 4:18 AM, deputies were dispatched to Henkle Way and Highway 34 in Philomath for a van parked in the middle of the road and causing a traffic hazard. The caller reported a person sleeping inside the van with open visible beer cans. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the occupants, who both accused each other of driving to the location. They were both impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. The van was towed as a traffic hazard and they were given a courtesy ride to Corvallis.
9/12/18 - OFFENSIVE LITTERING.  On Monday, September 11, 2018 at about 11:00 A.M., deputies were contacted by a woman at the Alsea School. She said she had picked up a lot of trash that was scattered across Highway 34 near Yewwood Lane. She showed deputies a Consumers Power Inc. envelope addressed to a resident on Yewwood Lane. Deputies have been unable to make contact with the resident thus far.
9/12/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE.  On September 10, 2018 11:15 a.m., deputies gave a dog owner residing on NW Hoodview a warning. The warning was for allowing her dog to run at large and bother the neighbors.
9/12/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE.  On September 10, 2018 10:57 a.m., deputies gave a warning to a dog owner residing on NW Ramona Lane in Corvallis, for allowing his dog to run at large and harass the neighbors. The dog was not licensed so a deadline was given to get that completed.
9/12/18 – DUII; RECKLESS ENDANGERING.  On Sunday, September 9, 2018 at approximately 2:45 A.M., deputies arrived at Philomath Boulevard near Technology Loop.  Nikki Lynn Hazen, 27,  was stopped for a traffic violation. Hazen consented to field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUII. Hazen was then transported to the Law Enforcement Center and cited Hazen for DUII, Reckless Endangering, and Making an Improper Left Turn, then released.
9/12/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE.  On September 7, 2018 11:50 a.m., deputies transported a stray dog from the 5600 block of NW Oak Creek Drive to the Heartland Humane Society where she was impounded. The dog was a large, white livestock guardian dog. She was wearing a collar and tags. Shelter staff contacted the owner.
9/12/18 - THEFT OF SERVICES - UNDER $100.  On Sunday September 2, 2018 at about 12:50 P.M., deputies spoke with a victim by telephone. She stated around 12:45 P.M., a male and female attempted to pay for a meal with a stolen credit card. She was unable to contact the suspects prior to them leaving. No description was provided for the male. The second suspect was a white female with dark hair and a white shirt.
9/11/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF IN THE 3RD DEGREE - UNDER $500.  On Monday, September 10, 2018 at about 3:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to contact a victim regarding a vandalism. He said around 7:00 A.M. that morning his son was sleeping and heard something. He looked out the window and saw a man walk around the corner of the neighbor’s house. He said someone threw a rock and hit the roof of his vehicle. No suspects at this time.
9/11/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE.  On September 10th, 2018 at about 2:30 PM, deputies were dispatched for a report of two persons trespassing. Deputies contacted the two and advised them they were trespassing and they had contacted the property owner who wanted them to leave. Both were told if they returned, they would be arrested for Criminal Trespass II.
9/11/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Monday September 10, 2018 at about 1:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Fern Rd and Powderhorn Rd. for a single vehicle crash. The driver lost control of her vehicle and crashed it into blackberry bushes. She was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. Her vehicle was towed.
9/11/18 - SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE.  On Monday, September 10, 2018 at about 11:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Mill Creek Park for a suspicious vehicle. They arrived and found a vehicle that appeared to have hit a deer due to front end damage and hair on the vehicle.
9/11/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Monday, September 10, 2018 at about 8:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to contact a woman regarding a reported suspicious activity. She said she had two boxes of nicotine patches she combined and counted 14 patches. She said she recounted and there was 16. She also stated there were two writing pens she had donated to the Eugene mission that showed back up at her house. She said she thinks someone is breaking in and messing with her.
9/11/18 - THEFT 3RD DEGREE.  On Monday September 10, 2018 at about 8:45 A.M., deputies spoke with a citizen by telephone. She stated sometime earlier that morning her Republic Services garbage can was stolen. Denise stated she heard a males voice shortly after her garbage was emptied. When she went to retrieve the garbage can, it was gone.
9/11/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Monday, September 10, 2018 at about 6:33 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the Good Samaritan Hospital Emergency Room for a crash victim. They arrived and spoke with the driver who said he drove his car off the road because he couldn't see the lane stripes.
9/11/18 - BCSO - DISTURBANCE/SHOTS.  On Monday September 10, 2018 at about 6:50 A.M., deputies were dispatched to NW Highland Dr. for a shots fired complaint. Upon arrival they spoke with a resident who stated his neighbor had shot and killed a bobcat. Deputies confirmed the bobcat was shot and killed due to it attacking his chickens. No crime.
9/11/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Sunday September 9, 2018 at about 12:45 pm, deputies arrived near milepost 3.5 on the Alsea Access Road for a reported motorcycle crash. It was later determined that the driver was riding his motorcycle east bound, hit a bump in the road which made his motorcycle go to the north side of the roadway. The motorcycle collided with the driver side of a westbound vehicle. Both the driver of the vehicle and a witness stated that the motorcycle was in the westbound lane. The rider was life-flighted to the Emergency Room at Good Samaritan Hospital.
9/11/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On September 8, 2018, at about 5:30 p.m., deputies responded to a reported single vehicle crash in the Lobster Valley area. Deputies located the driver at the Alsea Fire Department. He was uninjured. Deputies located the vehicle on Highway 501 at MP 6.5. His vehicle was towed and deputies provided him a courtesy transport to the Philomath McDonalds where his father met him.

9/11/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Sept. 6, 2018 at approximately 1422, Parker, Logan Thomas, 25, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail for a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court warrant for FTA - DUII, bail $45,000. Parker was cited and released with a new court date.
9/11/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at about 10:00 am, deputies  were dispatched to a non-injury crash just on Highway 99W near Airport Road. Unit 1 intending to turn right onto SW Weltzin Avenue. He said he missed his turn, so he stopped in the roadway and started backing up. He said didn't see Unit 2, who was stopped behind him. Unit 1 backed into Unit 2, destroying the hood, front bumper and headlights. No injuries reported.
9/11/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Aug. 29, 2018 at 1005, Mary L. Webber-Reyes, 51, turned herself in at the Benton County Jail lobby for a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court warrant, FTA - Fail to Carry/Present X2, $10,000. Webber-Reyes was booked and released with a new court date.
9/10/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE.  On Saturday, September 8, 2018 at approximately 5:56 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Grover Road for report of two people trespassing. They arrived and contacted two people, who appeared to be camping in their vehicle at the location and were told to leave the area of they would be arrested for Trespassing.
9/10/18 - OFFENSIVE LITTERING.  On Saturday, September 8, 2018 at around 12:00 PM, deputies arrived at Bonney Dr. and spoke to a resident about someone dumping trash on his property. He found an Oregon license plate in the rubbish. This plate was reported stolen to CPD and CPD handled. Deputies did not see anything in the trash of evidentiary value. The resident was advised that the rest of the trash was his responsibility to clean up, which he understood.
9/10/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On September 7, 2018 at about 5:00 pm, deputies went to Ervin Rd, Philomath to contact Charlene Lynn Kirkland, 44, for a confirmed Linn County Circuit Court abscond warrant for Aggravated Theft, no bail.  Kirkland was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail where she was lodged.
9/10/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Friday, September 7, 2018, at about 5:33 p.m., deputies responded to Philomath Boulevard near 26th Avenue for a report of a hit and run. Both accused the other of purposefully ramming the other's vehicle. Deputies could not determine the aggressor. Both vehicles were moveable. Deputies advised them they were not being issued citations and they were advised how to handle the crash with their insurance companies.
9/10/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Friday, September 7, 2018 at around 3:40 PM, vehicle #1 was traveling northbound on Highway 223 near milepost 23. Vehicle #1 went off the east side of the roadway, over corrected and went across the roadway and impacted the ditch on the west side of the roadway. The vehicle came to rest facing northeast on a driveway access on the west side of the roadway. The driver had what appeared to be minor injuries and said she was going to have her husband take her to be evaluated by medical personnel.
9/10/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Thursday, September 6th, 2018 at about 11:40 PM, deputies responded to a call of a prowler on McBee Road. The resident said she saw a flashlight near her sister's house on the same property. K9 deputy arrived and checked the area and did not give any indication of someone being in the area.
9/10/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On September 6, 2018, at about 6:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 at NE Garden Avenue for a single vehicle traffic crash involving a deer. Unit #1 was westbound on Highway 20 when a deer ran across the road in front of her. She did not have time to stop and hit the deer with the front of her vehicle causing damage, and killing the deer. No injuries.
9/10/18 - FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES-PROPERTY; ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On September 3, 2018 at around 1:02 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 and Independence Highway for a reported unknown injury crash. Unit #1 crashed head on into the guardrail on Highway 20 unoccupied. Deputies later located the driver Brittney Danielle DROLET, 21, on Ryunkin ST SE, Albany and cited her for Failure to Perform Duties-Property, Driving While Suspended-Violation, and Failure to Carry Proof of Insurance. She reported no injuries.
9/10/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On 08/28/2018, Andrus, Tracy Lee, 51, reported to the jail lobby for 2 different warrants confirmed: FTA Burglary 1 warrant out of Benton County Circuit Courthouse; and a municipal warrant for FTA Shoplift 1. Both warrants were served.
9/10/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On 08/27/2018, Brenton Garman, 45, was in custody and had 2 confirmed warrants: Benton County Circuit Court warrant for FTA Criminal Mischief 2; and Albany Municipal warrant for FTA Disorderly Conduct. Both warrants were served.
9/10/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On August 24 2018, Jans, Luke, 34, reported to the jail lobby for a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court warrant for FTA on a Criminal Trespass 2. Jans also had a warrant for FTA Contempt of Court-Punitive X2. Both warrants were served.
9/10/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On 8/22/2018 Madarus, Willard, 60, turned himself into the lobby of the Benton County Jail located at 190 NW 4th St. Corvallis for a confirmed warrant, FTA PCS Meth. Willard was released and given a new court date.
9/7/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On September 5, 2018, Vehicle #1 was traveling west on Airport Road and failed to stop at the stop sign, striking Vehicle #2, which was traveling north on Bellfountain Road. Vehicle #2 flipped over and came to rest on its top. Vehicle #1 driver was uninjured and three occupants inside Vehicle #2 were all transported to Good Samaritan by Ambulance. All of the occupants in Vehicle #2 reported minor injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.  The driver of vehicle #1 was cited for Failing to Obey a Traffic Control Device.
9/7/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On September 4, 2018 at around 10 pm, deputies were dispatched to Bellfountain County Park near Monroe for suspicious activity. A caller saw several vehicles in the park and flashlights. Deputies contacted two young adults that were sitting in a hammock together that lived nearby. Deputies told them they would have to leave since the park was closed at dusk.
9/7/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On September 4th, 2018 at about 4:43 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Lewisburg Avenue and Highway 99W. ROBERT SEAN KAHL, 45, was arrested on 2 confirmed Benton County Circuit Court warrants for Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree and Fail to Appear 2nd Degree. The jail provided a new court date for Kahl and he was later transported back to his residence.
9/7/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Monday, September 3, 2018, deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction. The driver was issued a verbal warning for failure to signal a left hand turn. They subsequently cited and released the passenger, Zachary Phillip Williams, 30, on an outstanding Corvallis Municipal warrant for FTA Open Container. Williams was given a court date.
9/7/18 - RECOVERED MOTOR VEHICLE FOR OTHER AGENCY.  On August 30, 2018 at about 8:30 pm, a caller reported finding a vehicle down an embankment about one mile west of Nichols on South Fork Rd. The vehicle was reported stolen to Albany PD on August 25, 2018. It appeared the vehicle was dumped over an embankment on the south side of the road. The vehicle sustained front-end damage after striking a large boulder and was towed from the scene. The vehicle owner was notified it was recovered.
9/7/18 - FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES-PROPERTY.  On 08-28-18 at about 10:00 am, deputies spoke with a citizen by phone who reported at 5:45 am that same day, she watched a speeding southbound tan or light colored SUV hit the concrete center island in front of the Monroe High School and then over a crosswalk sign. She said the SUV didn't stop and continued south on highway 99W. She was unable to get the SUV's license plate number and didn't see the driver. Deputies were unable to find the sign, which was run over/knocked down.
9/7/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On 8/23/2018 Mark Halligan, 55, at the Benton County Jail, was arrested and released with a new court date for PCS METH, PCS HERION, FELON POSS WEAPON, CARRYING CON WEAPON, PCS METH.
9/6/18 - BURGLARY 1ST DEGREE; THEFT 1ST DEGREE.  On September 5, 2018 at about 5:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to Old River Rd, Corvallis. A resident reported sometime in the last week, an unknown suspect stole $12,000 from inside his residence. No sign of forced entry was observed and the man believed the suspect was able to pick multiple locks to gain entry.
9/6/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Wednesday, August 5, 2018 at about 12:30 P.M., deputies were at Safeway on Circle Boulevard when they located William Chester Barker, 32, waiting in the checkout line. Barker had two confirmed warrants for his arrest. Deputies escorted Barker to their patrol car where he was issued citations for 2 warrants and released: Benton County Circuit Court, FTA - PCS METH, $12,500; and Philomath Municipal Court, DWS - Misdemeanor, $5,000 Bail.
9/6/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1ST DEGREE.  On Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at about 8:50 A.M., deputies were dispatched to NW Crescent Valley Drive for a report of a male pounding on the front door. Deputies arrived and spoke to a man who stated he was trying to talk to the resident about selling his house. The victim she did not want the man on her property. The man’s wife showed up and stated her husband was in the beginning stages of Alzheimer’s. The man was warned to not come back to her property.
9/5/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at about 3:45 am, deputies were dispatched to Orchard Street, Monroe, for a report of a possible burglary in progress. They later arrested the victim, Alfredo Garcia-Gomez, 21, on two confirmed warrants and transported him to the Linn County Jail, where he was lodged.
9/5/18 - SEARCH & RESCUE.  On Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at about 8:13 pm, deputies were dispatched to the area of Peavy Arboretum for a lost jogger. As they arrived, she was located near the Adair Market by an off-duty firefighter.
9/5/18 –WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at about 3:35 P.M., deputies located Wesley Jarel Hill, 29, on NW 9th Street and arrested him for two confirmed warrants. Hill was lodged at the Linn County Jail. Hill was issued a citation for his Benton County warrant.
9/5/18 – WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday, September 4, 2018, deputies went to an address on NW Harrison Boulevard to serve a civil paper. MELISSA ANN CORNETT, 32, opened the door and asked if they were there because of her warrant. CORNETT had a confirmed felony warrant for failure to appear out of the Benton County Circuit Court. CORNETT was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and released.
9/5/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Monday, September 3, 2018 at about 1:35 P.M., deputies located Trevor Eural Jones, 24, in Alan Berg Park who had two confirmed warrants for his arrest.  Jones was issued citations in lieu of custody for Benton County Circuit Court warrant, FTA - Interfering, Bail $15,000; and Corvallis Municipal Court warrant, FTA - Trespass II, No Bail Listed.
9/5/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Monday, September 3, 2018 at about 10:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Coon Road and Bellfountain Road for a suspicious person. It was reported a woman was throwing rocks into the road. Deputies arrived and warned her not to throw rocks into the road.
9/5/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Monday, September 3, 2018 at about 7:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a crash at Airport Avenue and SW 3rd Street. The driver said she was driving east on Airport Avenue and missed the stop sign due to not being able to see it. She said the sun was in her eyes. She drove across SW 3rd Street and into a lawn. The home owner estimated about $100 worth of damage to his landscaping.
9/5/18 - WARRANT ARREST; THROWING AWAY LIGHTED MATCHES AND OTHER MATERIALS; INTERFERING WITH PEACE OFFICER; RESISTING ARREST.  On Monday, September 3, 2018, at about 4:26 am, deputies stopped a vehicle at Fourth and Jefferson for white light to the rear. The passenger, Kalina Jo White, 25, was arrested for a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear: Disorderly Conduct II and Offensive Littering. She was also issued a citation for Throwing Lighted Material, Interfering with a Peace Officer, and Resisting Arrest.
9/5/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE; THEFT 2ND DEGREE; RESISTING ARREST.  On September 3, 2018, at 3:58 AM, deputies were dispatched to Stow Pit Road in Monroe for a possible theft in progress. Skyler Woodrum, 25, stole a battery out of a water pump in the field and was attempting to install it the battery into his vehicle. Woodrum was arrested for Criminal Trespass II, Theft II and Resisting Arrest. Woodrum was transported to the Benton County Jail.
9/5/18 - BCSO - DOG AT LARGE.  At around 4:55 PM on September 2nd, 2018, deputies were dispatched to a report of an adult male black lab that had been rescued off a snag on the Willamette River. They arrived to the area by boat (river mile 136) and spoke with the callers who located the dog on top of a snag around river mile 138. Deputies took the dog into custody and looked upriver for the owner, but were unable to locate. The dog was transported to Heartland Humane Society and reunited with his family the next day.
9/5/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Sunday, September 2, 2018 at about 9:11 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a crash on South Fork Road about milepost 6. The driver was west on South Fork Road and failed to negotiate a curve. He crashed into the bank and struck two trees.
9/5/18 – DUII; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES-PROPERTY; RECKLESS DRIVING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING; ATTEMPT TO ELUDE - FLEE IN VEHICLE; ATTEMPT TO ELUDE - FLEE ON FOOT; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1ST DEGREE; BURGLARY 1ST DEGREE; INTERFERING WITH PEACE OFFICER; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A SCHED I CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE; HARASSMENT; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 1ST DEGREE.  On Sunday, September 2, 2018, at about 3:15 am, deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on Hwy 20 in Blodgett for failure to maintain its lane. They later arrested, cited, and released the driver, Kevin Leroy Brown, 28.
9/5/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE.  On September 2, 2018, at 1:46 AM, deputies were dispatched to Bellfountain Road in Corvallis for a prowler. Carlos Penn, 59, was arrested for Criminal Trespass II and transported to the Benton County Jail.
9/5/18 - WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.  On September 1, 2018 at around11:44 P.M., deputies contacted Charles August Olson, 63, who was exiting his vehicle at NW 2nd Street and NW Jackson Ave. Olson had an El Paso County, Colorado warrant for Money Laundering.  Deputies confirmed Olson was the person on the warrant and as deputies arrested him, he handed them his methamphetamine. He was lodged at the Benton County Jail for the warrant and for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.
9/5/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF IN THE 3RD DEGREE - UNDER $500.  On Saturday, September 1, 2018, at about 5:45 p.m., deputies spoke to a resident on Gray Creek Lane. She said her mailbox was destroyed and she couldn't open it. She had no provable suspects. The damaged mailbox was valued at $30.00.
9/5/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Saturday, September 1, 2018, at approximately 4:38 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Evergreen Rd and Gerding Lane for report of a non-injury crash. They contacted the driver and found he was driving too fast while westbound on Evergreen Road approaching Gerding Lane. His vehicle was unable to negotiate the southbound turn and went off the road to the right. His vehicle went through a tree, a post with decorative items, and into a cement planter. Damage to his vehicle was minor and the damage to property was estimated by the owner, to be approximately $100.
9/5/18 - WARRANT ARREST. On Saturday, September 1, 2018, deputies were driving north on 53rd street near Meadowflower Drive, when they saw Anthony Charles Owen, 28, get into a vehicle.  Deputies caught up to the vehicle as it turned around in a driveway on SW 53rd Street. Owen had a confirmed Junction City Municipal court warrant for Fail to appear on a FTA II, $300 Bail. Owen was cited and released.
9/5/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Saturday September 1, 2018 at about 8:45 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Springhill Dr. near mile post two for two males riding their bicycles with carts attached with bike parts inside. Deputies observed two males matching the description near Water Ave. and Baker St. The males were traveling to their residence.
9/5/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On September 1, 2018 at around 1:08 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle at NW Satinwood St and NW Walnut Blvd for operating without required lighting. They then contacted West Allen Trontvet, 28, who had a confirmed Linn County Circuit Court Warrant for Failure to appear PCS Meth, Heroin and Tampering with Evidence, No Bail. West was cited and released at the request of the Linn County Jail.
9/5/18 - ASSAULT 4TH DEGREE; ASSAULTING A PUBLIC SAFTEY OFFICER.  On Friday, August 31, 2018 at about 11:35 A.M., deputies arrested Toron James Ambrosius, 20, for Assaulting a Public Safety Officer. Toron allegedly punched a jail deputy in the ear after Toron charged at the jail deputy. Toron was issued a citation and released into the custody of the jail.
9/5/18 - MIP MARIJUANA 1-8 OUNCES.  On August 30, 2018 at about 10:55 pm, deputies stopped Chance Ottinger, 20, on 3rd St near Papa's Pizza after observing him almost hit a pedestrian and running a red light. Ottinger admitted he was distracted using his mobile phone looking for music. Ottinger also admitted to possessing a quarter pound of marijuana. Deputies issued Ottinger a citation for MIP Marijuana and Operating a Motor Vehicle while using a Mobile Electronic Device.
9/5/18 - WARRANT ARREST; POSSESSION OF WEAPONS BY CERTAIN FELONS – MISDEMEANOR.  On Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 7:18 PM, deputies saw JOSEPH GOMEZ, 38, standing a front yard of  SE Bridgeway Avenue in Corvallis. Deputies contacted and arrested GOMEZ after Dispatch informed he had multiple confirmed felony warrants for his arrest. GOMEZ was transported to the Benton County Jail by where he was booked and lodged on his warrants. Deputies also charged GOMEZ with the crime of Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon (Misdemeanor), as he is a convicted felon and was in possession of an automatic knife (restricted weapon) at the time of his arrest
9/5/18 - THEFT 2ND DEGREE.  On Thursday, August 30, 2018 at approximately 1:00 P.M., deputies arrived at the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center to speak with a victim regarding a theft from his residence. He said he thought he knew the suspect, who had stolen his laptop and some miscellaneous items from his house. He said he had previously allowed the suspect to stay in his house, but he left.
9/5/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Friday, August 31, 2018 at approximately 6:53 A.M., vehicle 1, was driving east on Highway 20 near Garrett Lane.  Vehicle 1 struck a deer as the deer crossed the highway causing significant damage to the front of vehicle 1.
9/5/18 - FOUND PROPERTY.  On Thursday, August 30, 2018 at about 11:40 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Burris Road and Garden Avenue for found property in a nearby cornfield. Deputies collected two brown purses with multiple credit cards, checks, and numerous miscellanous items. It was later determined both purses were stolen from the same vehicle in Corvallis. All the items were entered into Evidence, and later retrieved by the victims.
9/5/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF IN THE 3RD DEGREE - UNDER $500.  On Sunday, August 26, 2018, at about 5:02 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash at West Hills Road and Bailey Street. Nichole Aileen Strobel, was arrested for DUII, Reckless Driving and Criminal Michief III. She was released to a sober friend.
9/5/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Tuesday August 28, 2018 at about 4:10 pm, deputies spoke with William Scaffidi in the southwest corner of 4900 NW Highway 99W. Scaffidi was later arrested, cited, and released on a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court FTA Harassment warrant, $10,000.00 bail.
9/5/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On 8/23/2018, Mark Halligan, 55, was arrested and released at the Benton County Jail, with a new court date for PCS METH, PCS HERION, FELON POSS WEAPON, CARRYING CON WEAPON, PCS METH.
8/31/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Thursday, August 30, 2018 at about 12:50 P.M., Vehicle #2 was driving south on Highway 99 approaching Payne Road. Vehicle #1 activated its turn signal and began to turn left onto Payne Road. Vehicle #1 began to pass Vehicle #2 on the left, unaware of its imminent turn. Vehicle #1 collided with Vehicle #2. Both driver's refused medics.
8/31/18 - WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF HEROIN. On Wednesday August 29, 2018 at 4:56 PM, deputies saw SEQUOIA WHITE, 21, at the Circle K on 3rd Street in Corvallis. They stopped WHITE nearby, knowing she had a misdemeanor warrant for her arrest out of Benton County Circuit Court, FTA Assault IV (X2) / MIP Alcohol, No Bail. WHITE was arrested on her confirmed warrant and she was transported to the Benton County Jail. WHITE was later cited for Unlawful Possession of Heroin (Misdemeanor) after an inventory search of her backpack yielded paraphernalia with presumptive Heroin residue.
8/31/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Wednesday, August 29, at about 2:45 P.M., deputies spoke to a citizen in the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center. She wanted to report that she paid a man named to ship a horse from Corvallis to Las Vegas. The horse did not show up and he has not refunded the money. Deputies directed her to the small claims court for further information.
8/31/18 - BCSO - TOWED VEHICLE.  On Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at about 8:16 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of NE Granger for and abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was reported abandoned on August 24th and had been at that location for three days prior to the 24th. Deputies tagged the vehicle for tow.
8/31/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE; BURGLARY 2ND DEGREE.  On Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at about 6:45 A.M., deputies were dispatched to N 5th Street in Monroe, for a reported burglary at the barbershop. The front glass door had been shattered and some drawers were laying on the floor. Deputies spoke to the owner, who stated the damage to the door would cost around $2,000 to replace, but no items were missing.
8/29/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER.  August 27, 2018 11:25 a.m., deputies gave a warning to an animal owner living on S. 10th Street in Monroe. Neighbors were complaining about his chicken, cats and dog coming onto their property.
8/29/18 - ABANDONED VEHICLE.  On Tuesday August 28, 2018 at about 10:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Marys Peak Rd, mile post 3 for an abandoned vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies tagged it with a notice of removal.
8/29/18 - SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE.  On Tuesday August 28th, 2018 at about 3:25 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Corvallis Water Shed located off Rock Creek Road for a vehicle that had entered through an open gate. Deputies contacted the occupants in the vehicle at the watershed gate located on Mary's Peak Road near milepost #6. The driver was issued a citation for Failing to Obey a Traffic Control Device after she went passed a sign indicating the road was closed and was private property.
8/29/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER.  On Monday, August 27, 2018 at about 12:30 pm, deputies responded to McCormick Ln in Philomath for a large animal rescue.  A horse was stuck in a dry creek bed. unable to get up. All members of the Benton County Sheriff's Office Mounted Posse large animal rescue team arrived on scene. Using their specialized equipment, the team was able to lift the horse from the creek bed back up onto level ground. The horse was then able to stand with help from the team and was later vet checked by a local veterinarian.
8/28/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Saturday August 25, 2018 at about 3:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Foster Rd for a 911 Hang-up. Upon arrival, they contacted Robert Shelton, 54. Shelton had a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court warrant for FTA PCS-Meth. Shelton was cited and released with a new court date.
8/28/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  Truck #1 was traveling northbound on Independence Road, just north of NW Springhill Drive. Truck #1 went into a set of sharp corners. The rear trailer went off the roadway and turned over, pulling the rest of the tractor-trailer over onto its side of the east side of the roadway. The truck had a load of hay. The driver was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The truck was towed to an unknown location for the trucking company.
8/28/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  On Monday August 27, 2018 at about 11:10 A.M., deputies spoke with a citizen at the Law Enforcement Building regarding a driving complaint. He stated while driving south on Highway 99W north of Suver Rd, a younger white female dangerously passed his vehicle and a semi-truck, traveling over 70MPH. He described. Deputies ran the license plate and it came back to a female with a date of birth in 1921. Based on the location of the registered owners address and birthdate, deputies were unable to verify the driver of the vehicle.
8/28/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On August 27, 2018 at around 5:05 A.M., deputies were dispatched to NW Sulphur Springs Road for a reported person shining a flashlight in a window. The resident saw an unknown person shine a light in her window then walk away. She was concerned as she has a large marijuana grow on her property. Deputies walked the property, drove the surrounding area, and did not locate anyone. They told her to call back if it happened again.
8/28/18 - INTERFERING WITH PEACE OFFICER; TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE – OTHER.  On August 26, 2018 at around 2:10 A.M., deputies contacted Sean Patterson ADAMS, 24, at the intersection of NW Harrison Blvd and NW 6th Street. As he contacted ADAMS, he dropped an unknown type of prescription pill, which was initially recovered. ADAMS later ran away from them and deputies eventually caught up with him and deployed their taser, and took him into custody. ADAMS was lodged at the Benton County Jail for Interfering and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
8/28/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Saturday, August 25, 2018 at about 2:00 P.M. Vehicle #1 was traveling west on Southfork Road near milepost 7. Vehicle #2 was traveling east approaching a corner on Southfork Road. Vehicle #1 crossed over the center of the roadway while negotiating a turn and crashed into vehicle #2. None of the occupants were injured. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
8/28/18 - BURGLARY 2ND DEGREE; THEFT 3RD DEGREE.  On Friday, August 24, 2018 at around 7:10 PM, deputies spoke with a resident by phone about someone breaking into an un-attached garage on a rental property she owns. She has a suspect, but has no proof of him breaking into the garage on NW Highland.  There was around $50.00 of tools, and around $100.00 of a friends tools taken from the garage.
8/28/18 - PUBLIC NUISANCE.  On August 24, 2018 2:46 p.m., deputies gave a warning to the owner of a dog boarding facility in Philomath. The warning was for allowing the client dogs to bark and disturb nearby residents.
8/28/18 – DUII.  On August 23, 2018 I stopped Cameron MCGOVERN, 30, for Failure to Use Lights on 4th St near Adams Ave. Deputies could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from MCGOVERN when he spoke, despite denying having anything to drink. MCGOVERN's speech seemed slightly slurred and thick. MCGOVERN consented to field sobriety tests. MCGOVERN was then arrested for DUII, booked and then released.
8/28/18 - THEFT 2ND DEGREE; CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE.  On Thursday, August 23, 2018 at approximately 12:20 P.M., deputies went to the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center and spoke with a citizen regarding a theft at his property. He said he has an open wood shed that is under construction at his property on Northwest Highland Dell Drive. He said he found foot prints that were approximately size 11 to 12 near the wood shed, which is approximately 1000 feet away from the road. He then reported there was a 20v DeWalt Drill and Battery in the wood shed that was stolen, worth approximately 150.00 dollars. No suspects.
8/28/18 - WARRANT ARREST; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.  On Thursday, August 23, 2018 at about 11:00 A.M., deputies assisted Corvallis Police with locating a stolen phone at Takena Landing. Deputies arrested David Patrick Gilpin, 36, for a confirmed Parole Board Warrant and PCS- Methamphetamine. David was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
8/28/18 - UEMV - UNLAWFUL ENTRY INTO MOTOR VEHICLE; THEFT 3RD DEGREE.  On Thursday, August 23, 2018 at approximately 9:00 A.M., deputies arrived at Northwest James Place for a reported Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle. The resident said someone went through her unlocked vehicle and stole approximately 6.00 dollars cash. She said her neighbor had some things stolen from a car as well. Deputies called and spoke with the neighbor who reported someone went through his unlocked vehicle and stole approximately 2.00 dollars in change, 10.00 dollars worth of coffee punch cards, and a Garmin GPS.
8/28/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On August 23, 2018 at around 11:20 pm, deputies contacted Melony Shockman, 44, on Highway 99W at milepost 77. Melony was inside her van which had run out of fuel. A records check found Shockman had several confirmed warrants for her arrest. Benton County Jail had deputies transport Shockman to the Linn County Jail in Albany where she was lodged.
8/28/18 - BCSO - MARINE PATROL CALL OUT.  On Wednesday August 22nd, 2018 at about 2:30 PM, deputies responded to a report of stranded boater on the Willamette River south of Corvallis. They were able to free the boat and return it to the occupants who had left the boat in the river.
8/28/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Monday August 20, 2018 at about 2:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 and Independence Highway for a two vehicle crash. Unit 1 was turning east onto Highway 20 from Independence Highway. Unit 2 was traveling west on Highway 20. Unit 2 crashed the front of her vehicle into the driver side of Unit 1. The driver of Unit 2 was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by Albany medics. Both vehicles were towed.
8/28/18 - BURGLARY 1ST DEGREE; CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE.  On Monday, August 20, 2018 at about 2:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to E. Main Street in Alsea for a burglary. No signs of forced entry. A sign hanging on the carport door saying "BEWARE OF OWNER" was the only thing taken. The sign was taken between August 8th and August 13th.
8/28/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Sunday August 19, 2018 at about 2:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 milepost 46 for a single vehicle crash. Driver 1 stated she was traveling west on Highway 20 when she observed what appeared to be a metal object in the middle of the road. She said she was unable to avoid the object and ran it over. The object caused her vehicle to go into the ditch on the north side of the highway.
8/24/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Thursday August 23rd, 2018 at about 3:00 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 20 near milepost #1 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, SEAN VIC GOLDSMITH, 35, had 3 outstanding confirmed warrants out of various agencies: 1) MARION COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT, F.T.A.- P.C.S. HEROIN; 2) CLACKAMAS COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT, F.T.A. - THEFT I; 3) ALBANY MUNICIPAL COURT, THEFT III.  Goldsmith was transported GOLDSMITH to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
8/24/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  ON 8/23/18 AT APPROXIMATELY 1418, DEPUTIES CITED AND RELEASED MCCLUNG, ERIN, 26, DUE TO THE FACT THAT SHE WAS GOING TO BE RELEASED FRSS 1 DAY EARLY ON HER PPS SANCTION. THE CONFIRMED WARRANT WAS OUT OF ALBANY MUNI FOR FTA LARCENY, BAIL 6550.00. I CONFIRMED THE WARRANT WITH RECORDS AND I SERVED THE WARRANT ON MCCLUNG WHO WAS LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH STREET, CORVALLIS (BENTON CO JAIL). MCCLUNG WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
8/24/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  ON 8/23/18 AT APPROXIMATELY 1354 THE JAIL WAS PREPARING TO RELEASE BAULDREE, JESSE, 44, WHO WAS LOCATED AT THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL, 190 NW 4TH STREET IN CORVALLIS.  BAULDREE HAD A CONFIRMED WARRANT FOR FTC CRIM TRESP I OUT OF ALBANY MUNI COURT, BAIL $1156.00. BAULDREE WAS CITED AND RELEASED.
8/24/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at about 8:54 pm, deputies were dispatched to the front counter to arrest Brian Phillips, 33, who was turning himself in for confirmed warrants.  He was walked over to the him to the Benton County Jail, where he was booked. Warrants: 1) Benton County Circuit Court Charge: Interfering with a Peace Officer & Criminal Trespass II, Bail $35,000; 2) Philomath Municipal Court, Criminal Trespass II, Bail $5,000.
8/24/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  ON 8/22/18 AT APPROXIMATELY 1750 ROSS, BENJAMIN, 56, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH STREET BECAUSE HE HAD CONFIRMED WARRANTS: DWS-BAIL $15K, DWS-BAIL $15K, ALBANY MUNI-DWS.
8/24/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE.  On Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at about 2:25 P.M., deputies were dispatched to at 185 W Main Street, Alsea and spoke to a complainant who stated a transient male was laying in the grassy area, even after being told to leave. Deputies spoke to the man and told him to leave. And he did.
8/24/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR.  On August 16, 2018 at around 05:53 am, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 223 near Priest Road in Wren. The driver identified himself as Christopher Broxterman, 29, of Newberg Oregon. Broxterman's Oregon Driver License was listed as being criminally suspended due to a DUII earlier in the year.  Broxterman was cited for the criminally suspended driver license and for Violation Basic Rule (77 mph posted 55 Zone).
8/24/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Monday August 20th, 2018 at about 5:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Sheriff's Office Parole & Probation Office to arrest DAVID MICHAEL PHIPPS, 27, on two outstanding Warrants. He was cited on both and released: ALBANY MUNICIPAL COURT, F.T.A. - OBSTRUCT POLICE; BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT, BURGLARY I/CRIMINAL TRESPASS I/HARASSMENT.
8/24/18 - PUBLIC NUISANCE.  On August 20, 2018, deputies gave a warning to a dog owner residing on Avalon in Corvallis. The warning was for her two dogs barking in the night and disturbing a nearby neighbor. The dogs were not licensed so a deadline was given to get that completed.
8/22/18 - ABANDONED VEHICLE.  On Tuesday, August 21, 2018, deputies were dispatched to the Beazell Forest County Park for an abandoned vehicle. A parks employee said the vehicle appeared abandoned. Deputies attempted to make contact with the owner and were not successful. They then tagged the vehicle for tow.
8/22/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Tuesday, August, 21, 2018 at approximately 10:00 A.M., deputies arrived at Hyak Park for a report of suspicious activity. Deputies spoke with a man who said that on August 20, 2018, he and a co-worker found what they believed to be a human molar near the boat ramp at Hyak Park. He said they threw the tooth back in the water because they thought it was gross. He then went back and tried to find the tooth but could not. Deputies explained it was unlikely that it was a human tooth.
8/22/18 - OFFENSIVE LITTERING. On Monday August 20, 2018 at about 4:50 pm, deputies spoke with a complainant at the Sheriff's Office. She reported trash and other items that were found on her property, located to the east of SW Hanson Street, to west of The Retreat and north of SW West Hills Road, and west of The Retreat. The items were later entered into evidence to be destroyed.
8/22/18 - PUBLIC NUISANCE.  On August 20, 2018 1:18 p.m., deputies gave a warning to a dog owner residing on NW Terrace Drive for her dog playing and making excessive noise disturbing two nearby neighbors. The dog was not license so a deadline was given to get that completed.
8/22/18 – DUII.  On Saturday, August 18, 2018 at approximately 12:05 A.M., deputies stopped Angel DeJesus Gomez, 22, after a traffic violation on 3rd Street near Cummings Avenue. Gomez consented to field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUII. Gomez was cited for DUII.
8/22/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at about 10:53 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the intersection of SW 3rd Street and SW Airport Avenue for a car crash with injuries. Unit 1 turned onto 3rd Street from Airport Avenue in front of Unit 2 as he was driving south on 3rd Street.
8/22/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On August 14, 2018, West Trontvet, 28, was currently an inmate in the jail. Prior to his release, deputies checked for any warrants for Trontvet. He had 2 different warrants: 1) cite and release warrant out of Linn County for FTA PCS Heroin; 2) FTA Theft II out of Albany Municipal Court. Both warrants were confirmed served.
8/21/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT.  On Monday, August 20, 2018 at around 8:30 PM, deputies spoke with the camp host at the Benton Oaks RV Park, who said a male that lives at the trailer park next door brings his dog over to the RV park area and lets it run loose. There is signage that states this area of the RV Park is a pay to rent area. She had only a description of the suspect and his dog, but did not had any other info for him. She was told to call the Sheriff's Office when the subject returns.
8/21/18 - ACCIDENT INJURY.  On Monday, August 20, 2018 at around 6:00 PM, deputies responded to a 2 vehicle injury crash on Highway 20 at Granger Ave. Vehicle #1 was stopped on Granger Ave at Highway 20 attempting to turn left onto Highway 20. Vehicle #2 was traveling westbound on Highway 20 approaching Granger Ave. Vehicle #1 pulled out in front of Vehicle #2. Vehicle #2 hit Vehicle #1, causing Vehicle #2 to spin out and come to rest off the south side of the roadway. Both parties were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital.
8/21/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Monday August 20, 2018 at about 11:13 am, deputies arrived West of 8th Street on Main Street in Philomath for a reported non injury two vehicle crash. It was later determined that Unit 1 sped up to pass Unit 2, westbound on Main Street, as the two lanes merged to one lane. A vehicle in front of unit 2 slowed down, unit 2 slowed down. The front of Unit 1 collided with the rear of Unit 2.
8/21/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING.  On Sunday, August 19, 2018, at about 2:25 am, deputies stopped a vehicle for making an unlawful turn and later arrested the driver, Calvin Angelo McAnulty, 21, for DUII after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely.
8/21/18 -  SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  At around 2:55 PM on August 8th, 2018, deputies were dispatched to a report of an adult male on the shoreline just north of Willamette Park. He was reportedly not wearing any clothing. Deputies arrived and located the male, who agreed to put his clothes back on. He did not seemed to be acting inappropriately and was just sitting in the sun with his legs closed.
8/21/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE; UNLAWFUL DELIVERY OF METHAMPHETAMINE; MANUFACTUR/DELIVER SCHED II CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE; MANUFACTUR/DELIVER SCHED IV CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.  On Saturday, August 18, 2018 at around 11:00 PM, deputies saw a vehicle driven by Benjamin Campbell, 28, parked in the Trysting Tree Golf Course parking lot after the business was closed. A K-9 Deputy arrived with his drug detection K9, Tommy, who alerted on the vehicle. They searched the vehicle under the vehicle exception rule and found 76.81 grams total package weight of a white crystalline substance that later presumptive tested positive for Methamphetamine. They also found scales, packaging materials, $891.00 in cash, and multiple Schedule II & IV prescription pills. Benjamin Campbell was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail and lodged for Trespass II, PCS-Meth, DCS-Meth, PCS-Schedule II and PCS-Schedule IV.
8/21/18 - PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE.  On August 16, 2018 2:30 p.m., deputies transported two stray dogs from the 27000 block of Vernon Road in Alsea to the Heartland Humane Society where they were impounded. There was an adult female fawn boxer and a white and black adult neutered male Jack Russel Terrier. Neither dog was wearing a collar or tag. The dogs were picked up by their owner the next day.
8/21/18 - OFFENSIVE LITTERING.  On Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at about 2:37 P.M., deputies were dispatched to contact a complainant by phone regarding a cigarette being tossed out the window of car. Deputies spoke with the registered owner of the vehicle on Bellfountain Road. Deputies counseled him on throwing burning material out of a car.
8/20/18 - WARRANT ARREST; DWS MISDEMEANOR.  On August 20, 2018 at around 1:48 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 99W and MP 76 for a speeding violation. The driver Mikhail ERMOLENKO, 26, was later arrested for Driving while Suspended or Revoked Misdemeanor as well as a confirmed Clackmas County warrant for Possession of Cocaine, Bail $40,000. He was transported and lodged at the Benton County Jail for the warrant and cited for the DWS.
8/20/18 - RECKLESS DRIVING.  On Sunday, August 19, 2018 at approximately 6:15 P.M., deputies stopped CORY J REASONER, 26, for driving 101MPH in a 55MPH zone at Highway 20, Milepost 39. CORY had passed a vehicle on the right as the lanes merged, nearly causing a crash.  CORY was arrested for Reckless Driving and he was released with a criminal citation.
8/20/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING.  On Sunday, August 19, 2018, at about 12:50 am, deputies stopped a vehicle for failing to obey a traffic control device.  They later arrested the driver, Mylee Rose Marvin, 20, for DUII after it was determined she was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely.
8/20/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  At around 5:26 PM on August 18th 2018, deputies were called to assist floaters on the Willamette River. Dispatch information was for a family floating the river and they were worried about their grandmother becoming hypothermic. They helped their grandmother get into the boat. The family decided everybody was getting cold and asked deputies to drive them to their car at Michael's Landing. Deputies divided the family and tubes between both patrol boats and transport them down river. Everyone got out at Michael's Landing and deputies assisted getting grandma into a warm car.
8/20/18 - BURGLARY 1ST DEGREE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE; THEFT 1ST DEGREE.  On Saturday, August 18, 2018 at about 2:00 P.M., deputies arrived at Old River Road for a Burglary that occurred sometime during the past week. They spoke to the resident who said sometime during the past week, someone broke into his residence and stole 2 pieces of antique furniture valued around $1000. One item was a wood dresser with a large mirror and the second item was a smaller wooden dresser. The back door was damaged and appeared to be pried open. There is no current suspect information at this time.
8/20/18 - ATTEMPT TO ELUDE - FLEE IN VEHICLE; RECKLESS DRIVING; RECKLESS ENDANGERING.  On Saturday, August 18, 2018 at about 9:15 A.M., deputies attempted to stop a vehicle near the intersection of Independence Highway and Metge Avenue for multiple traffic violations. The vehicle failed to yield, and was pursued from Independence Highway to North Albany Road where Albany Police took lead. The driver eventually crashed at Oakville Road, and fled on foot. Albany Police deployed a K9, but was unable to locate the suspect.
8/20/18 – DUII; RECKLESS ENDANGERING.  On August 17, 2018 at about 4:22 pm, dispatch received multiple calls about a possibly intoxicated driver westbound on Highway 20 from North Albany. The last caller stated the vehicle had crashed into the ditch on Camp Adair Rd near Highway 99W. Deputies contacted Niki Rae Cowley White, 25, and determined she was impaired and unable to operate a motor vehicle safely. Deputies arrested White for DUII and transported her to the Sheriff's Office. The passenger was released to her grandfather. The vehicle was left parked at the scene.  White was issued a citation for DUII and Reckless Endangering. White was released to her father.
8/20/18 - BCSO - DOG BITE; FAIL TO OBTAIN DOG LICENSE; CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE.  On August 17, 2018, at about 1:13 p.m., deputies were dispatched to contact a resident concerning a dog bite that occurred on NW Arboretum Drive, Corvallis, Oregon. She was house sitting at the residence on NW Calloway Drive when she let the homeowner's dog (Border Collie mix) go outside. The Border Collie went to the neighbor's property and was bitten in the head and drug off by a black Labrador Retriever mix. She tried to break up the dogfight and was bitten in the hand by the Labrador. She then went to the Emergency Room for minor bite marks to two fingers. None of the dogs were licensed in Benton County, but their rabies shots were up to date.
8/20/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Friday, August 17, 2018, deputies located and arrested Colton Quinn Fisher, 22, on NW Division. Colton had a confirmed warrant for Probation Violation, No Bail. Deputies arrested and transported Colton to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
8/20/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On August 16, 2018 at about 11:00 pm, deputies stopped Guy Harlin Hovander, 41, on Highway 20 near MP 41 for speeding. Hovander had a confirmed Philomath Muni Court warrant for FTC-Using Invalid License, bail $5000.  Hovander was issued a citation with a new court date.
8/20/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Thursday, August 16, 2018, at about 7:44 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Highway 34 near Fish Hatchery Road in Alsea for a single vehicle log truck crash where the trailer tipped over and spilled the logs. There were no reported injuries, and the log truck was the only vehicle involved. The roadway, guardrail, truck trailer, power pole were damaged. The logs left the roadway to the ditch, riverbank, and North Fork of the Alsea River. The damage to the trailer, logs, and things hit by them, is estimated to be over $50,000.
8/20/18 - SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE.  On Tuesday August 14, 2018 at about 1:58 pm, deputies arrived at Clemens Park regarding a vehicle that someone reported as possibly camping in the park. They spoke with the owner of the vehicle. He was traveling back to Colorado and stated he had been doing Yoga in the park and denied camping there.
8/20/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  On August 9, 2018 at approximately 3:20 PM, deputies were dispatched to two hikers up on OSU School of Forestry property near the Powder House Trail who needed assistance getting out of the forest.  They were tired, dehydrated and had no water with them. They responded to the area, located them and gave them a ride to their vehicle that was parked across from the Adair Store. Deputies advised them to be more prepared the next time that they went hiking on OSU property.
8/17/18 – DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING.  On August 17, 2018 at around 2:48 A.M., deputies stopped a vehicle in the Rivas parking lot for making an un-signaled turn at NW 5th St and NW Van Buren Ave. The driver, Tanner Scott LEININGER, 26, was later arrested, cited, and released for DUII and Reckless Driving after he was determined unsafe to operate a motor vehicle following field sobriety tests.
8/17/18 - OFFENSIVE LITTERING.  On Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at about 2:40 P.M., deputies spoke to a complainant by phone. He said he had received numerous free copies of the Gazette Times even though he has told them he no longer wanted the paper. He stated he has called multiple times and informed the company to stop putting them on his property. Deputies called the Gazette Times Circulation phone number and informed them that the resident no longer wanted their free paper.
8/17/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  On Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at about 9:50 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Fairgrounds for a report of a "LARGE FEMALE [WHO] WAS COMPLETELY NAKED OUTSIDE HER TENT", and was "TAKING A BATH OUT OF A BUCKET". Deputies arrived and were unable to locate the female. Deputies then spoke to the Fairgrounds manager who plans to add a new rule to their campground regarding this issue.
8/16/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE.  On Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at about 1:48 P.M., deputies spoke to a resident by phone who stated her neighbor has bothered her, come onto her property un-invited and she wanted her trespassed. Deputies called the neighbor and told her to stay off the property. She stated she would comply, but was confused because she thought they were friends.
8/16/18 - CONFIRMED ALARM BUSINESS.  On August 14, 2018 at around 10:07 pm, deputies were dispatched to an alarm at the Kings Valley Charter School in Kings Valley. They arrived and found two exterior doors to the school ajar. Deputies searched the inside of the school with a K9 and found the inside to be secure. The School Principal arrived a short time later and reset the alarm system.
8/16/18 - ASSISTANCE RENDERED PUBLIC.  On Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at about 9:25 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near Circle Boulevard for a report of a female lying in the roadway. Deputies arrived and later given a courtesy ride to a shelter in Albany.
8/16/18 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.  On Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at about 7:50 PM, deputies were dispatched to South 2nd Street in Alsea for suspicious activity. A resident reported his neighbor was intoxicated and was urinating on his property. He said this is the third time this has happened. The neighbor was told not to urinate in public. The resident was told to contact the Benton County Sheriff's Office if the neighbor was seen intentionally urinating in front of them again.
8/16/18 - BCSO - ANIMAL OTHER.  On August 14, 2018, deputies transported a stray kitten from the 24000 block of Bunker Hill Road in Monroe to the Heartland Humane Society where he was impounded. The male cat was not micro chipped, nor wearing a collar and tag.
8/16/18 - THEFT 3RD DEGREE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE.  On Tuesday August 14, 2018 at about 6:50 am, deputies spoke with a citizen by telephone. He reported that unknown suspect(s) took a broken Toro lawnmower from the outside, near a shed, and broke the door window to his 5th-Wheel trailer. This occurred sometime after 8:30 pm on Friday August 10, 2018 to 8:00 am on Saturday August 11, 2018.
8/16/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  BRANDON ACKERSON, 26, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE LOBBY OF THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL FOR A CONFIRMED WARRANT FOR DUII, RECKLESS DRIVING, AND FTA II OUT OF BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT. HE WAS THEN RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
8/16/18 -WARRANT ARREST.  ON AUGUST 13, 2018 AT APPROXIMATELY 1258, LEGAN, RICHARD, 26, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE JAIL LOBBY FOR A CONFIRMED WARRANT FOR FTA, MENACING. HE WAS THEN RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
8/16/18 - BURGLARY 2ND DEGREE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - 2ND DEGREE.  On Monday August 13, 2018 at about 7:44 am, deputies arrived at Highway 99W for a reported burglary. It was later determined that unknown suspect(s) broke two windows to an office and took a half full 2-gallon gas can.
8/16/18 - BCSO - DISTURBANCE/SHOTS.  On Sunday, August 12, 2018 at around 8:15 PM, deputies arrived at Territorial Hwy to reported gunshots. Residents north of this property were concerned that people were shooting unsafe. Deputies went to the residence and spoke to a man who stated he was shooting a pistol in the backyard of the residence, showed them where he was shooting, it was safe, and the rounds were staying on the property.
8/16/18 - CRIMINAL TRESPASS - 2ND DEGREE.  On August 12, 2018 at around 3:53 A.M., deputies contacted John Leonard HOLDROF, 54, at Hyak Park for sleeping in the back seat of his pickup. John said he did not know the park was closed, although there is a sign stating it is closed from one hour after dusk to one hour prior to dawn at the entrance. John was issued a citation in lieu of custody for Criminal Trespass II and released.
8/16/18 - RECKLESS ENDANGERING.  On August 11, 2018 at about 8:16 pm, deputies  were dispatched to a single vehicle traffic crash on Independence near Metge. Unit #1 was northbound on Independence when a deer crossed the road. She stated her intoxicated passenger, Alexander Patrick Fitzgerald, 29, grabbed the steering wheel and swerved to miss the deer. The vehicle entered the east ditch and came to a stop in blackberries. Fitzgerald was issued a citation for Reckless Endangering. The vehicle was towed. Deputies gave them a ride home.
8/16/18 - ACCIDENT NON-INJURY.  On Saturday, August 11, 2018 at about 12:40 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Westhills Road and North 9th Street, Philomath, for a single vehicle that drove into the ditch. The driver stated she was going about 30 MPH and lost control of her vehicle due to the recent rain. No one was injured and a friend towed the vehicle out of the ditch. The vehicle was driveable and drove into a nearby driveway.
8/16/18 - BCSO - DISTURBANCE/ARGUE.  On August 11, 2018, at about 2:50 a.m., deputies went to Gellatly Way in Philomath for a report of people yelling at each other. They spoke to the residents who had just arrived to their residence and were yelling at their cats. No crime.
8/16/18 - WARRANT ARREST; DWS MISDEMEANOR.  On August 10, 2018 at about 6:12 pm, deputies stopped Jeramie Lee Moore, 41, near 5th and Orchard for an obstructed front license plate. Moore had two confirmed no bail Benton County Circuit Court warrants for PCS-Meth.  Moore was also DWS-Misdemeanor. Moore was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail. Moore was lodged on the warrants and issued a citation for DWS.
8/16/18 - OFFENSIVE LITTERING.  On Friday, August 10, 2018, at about 2:10 PM, deputies were dispatched to Satinwood Street for Illegal Camping. They spoke with a resident on the phone who said there was a homeless camp in the woods where his family walks. Deputies advised the man that they arrested a person from that camp a week ago. He wanted all the property removed from the illegal camp. He was told to contact Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, who owns the property and can remove it.
8/16/18 - WARRANT ARREST.  On Friday, August 10, 2018 at about 2:50 P.M., deputies located Cody Mcmillen Sims, 34, at Starbucks on NW 9th Street. Sims was identified from his Oregon DMV photo and photos he uploaded to his Facebook page. Sims had two confirmed warrants: Sodomy I and Theft II. Deputies handcuffed Sims behind his back, walked him out of the store and to a patrol car. Sims was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
8/16/18 - FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES-PROPERTY.  On Friday, August 10, 2018, at about 1:15 PM, deputies  were dispatched to Highway 20 near Conifer Avenue for a hit and run. They spoke with a caller who said a green vehicle hit her bumper. She said she was driving 50 MPH, west bound on Highway 20 near Conifer Avenue, when a green vehicle hit her bumper. She said the vehicle was following her closely from Albany and was driving erratically.
8/16/18 - DWS MISDEMEANOR.  On Friday, August 10, 2018 at about 10 A.M., deputies were driving south on 2nd Street near Taylor Avenue, when they saw a vehicle with no front license plate drive past, going northbound. They stopped the vehicle Honda in the parking lot of Holiday Inn Express. The driver said his license was suspended and handed them an Oregon ID card, identifying him as Robert Dustin Schaffner, 28. Dispatch informed Robert's Oregon Driver's License was revoked Misdemeanor. Robert told said he was driving to court in Albany.  Robert was cited for Driving While Suspended and only warned him for the lack of license plate.
8/16/18 - CRIMINAL MISCHIEF IN THE 3RD DEGREE – INCONVENIENCE; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES-INJURY.  On Thursday, August 9, 2018 at about 7:00 p.m., deputies spoke to a citizen on W Ingram Island Road. An unknown vehicle ran off the road and through a fence, then back on the roadway. She said they have extra fencing and the only damage was the inconvenience of repairing the fencing.
8/16/18 - OFFENSIVE LITTERING.  On Thursday, August 9, 2018, at about 12:20 PM, deputies were dispatched to Rifle Range Road for Offensive Littering. They spoke on the phone with a resident who thinks his neighbor left a pile of lumber on his property.
