POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Wednesday, October 21, 2020, around 8:00 A.M., Dawson Edwards King, 24, was arrested on Cherry Creek Road near milepost 2 for Trespass in the Second Degree and Unlawful Possession of meth.
FAIL TO APPEAR ON ORDINANCE VIOLATION - On October 20, 2020, at around 9:23 pm, deputies stopped a tan 1994 Ford Explorer for a traffic violation at Peoria Rd near Stahlbush Island Road. The driver, Nathan Daniel Brown, 45, was later arrested, cited, and released for a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at about 5:00 P.M., deputies spoke with a resident regarding an identity theft complaint. He said he received a letter from the IRS stating someone else had attempted to use his disabled son’s social security number to open an account. He did not have any suspect information and he said he would be working with the social security office to resolve the issue.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER, ESCAPE 3, PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT - On Thursday, October 15, 2020, at 6:30 PM, deputies saw STEEN SKINNER, 30, who dispatch informed had a felony warrant for his arrest. SKINNER fled on his bicycle when deputies attempted to contact him on the 1100 block of NW 9th Street in Corvallis. SKINNER was taken into custody by BCSO Deputies after a somewhat lengthy chase. SKINNER was booked and lodged on his warrant at the Benton County Jail. SKINNER was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine - Misdemeanor, Interfering with a Peace Officer, Escape III and an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for Parole Violation (Abscond), No Bail / No Matrix.
PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT - On October 15, 2020 at around 5:58 p.m., deputies contacted Casey Charles Lanphear, 32, in the parking lot of 1840 NW 9th St. After learning he had an Oregon State Parole Board warrant, deputies had a short foot chase and arrested Lanphear inside of a business. He was later transported and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2, WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at about 8:30 A.M., deputies located Angela M. Bickford, 34, Albert Justin Nollen, 46, and Greg Allen Brunty, 51, trespassing at the tree farm at 465 SW 53rd Street. Angela was issued a citation for multiple warrants out of Albany Municipal Court and Albert was issued a citation for a warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court. Greg Brunty was identified as the leader of "Ghost Camp" and cited for Trespass II and a Theft II warrant out of Benton County.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, October 21, 2020, deputies located Brenda Kay Holland, 50, in the West Hills Tree Farm. Holland had 2 confirmed Linn County felony warrants for her arrest for PV PCS Heroin. Holland was transported to the Linn County Jail where she was booked and lodged.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at about 12:20 A.M., deputies were near 1900 3rd Street when they observed Melissa Ann Cornett, 34. Cornett had several confirmed failure to appear warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court. Deputies issued criminal citations to Cornett and released her at the scene.
THEFT 2, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On October 19, 2020, at around 9:56pm, deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of NE Circle Blvd, Corvallis, for a suspicious person call. The owner of the residence told deputies Ronald Conklin, 35, had tried to get him to pay money for a generator that had been stolen from a trailer on his property on October 8. Ronald was criminally cited for Theft II, and Criminal Trespass II.
DELIVER METH, WARRANT ARREST, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE - On October 19, 2020 at about 10:30 AM, deputies were on routine patrol in Hyak Park located at 5000 NW Highway 20 when they observed Ryan Christopher Garrette, 48, holding a meth pipe as he sat in his truck. A subsequent consent search revealed 15 grams of presumptive methamphetamine in a clipboard case behind the driver’s seat. Garrette was cited in lieu of custody for the presumptive methamphetamine and a warrant.
BURGLARY 2 - On October 19, 2020 around 4:10AM, deputies were dispatched to the 6300 block of SE Reservoir Ave, Corvallis, for a burglary in progress. The reporting person stated there was a male wearing tan pants, black sweatshirt, and a white mask, in his storage space. After searching the entire storage facility, it was determined the suspect was gone on arrival.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2, FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On Sunday, October 18, 2020, at about 7:40 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a hit and run at Waldorf School, 3855 Highway 20. The caller reported a red sedan had driven through the field and hit a chain link fence surrounding the school. Deputies arrived and could not locate a vehicle matching the caller’s description. Deputies called the responsible party for Waldorf, explained the circumstances, and issued them a case number for insurance purposes.
VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT - On October 18, 2020, around 11:00 PM, deputies stopped a 1995 green Honda Civic for not having functional tail lights on Airport Road, milepost one. Deputies arrested Che Salpas, 21, for violating his release agreement, and cited him for Driving While Suspended and for Defective Lighting Equipment. Deputies took Che to the Benton County Jail, where he was booked and lodged.
DUII, RECKLESS DRIVING - On October 18, 2020, at around 8:28 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a red Mitsubishi Eclipse on NW Independence Highway, near Milepost 1. The driver, John Jurgens, 51, was criminally cited for Driving while under the influence of intoxicants, and Reckless driving, and issued citations for Failure to obey a traffic control device and Unsignaled turn.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER PROP DAMAGE - On October 18, 2020, at around 4:16 pm, deputies were dispatched to a reported hit-and-run on the 31800 block of Fern Road, Philomath. A nearby resident told deputies someone crashed an ATV on Fern Road, near Milepost 2, slightly bending a chain-link fence post. A man told deputies he was driving his ATV home when he decided to perform a wheelie and crashed. The man was driven to the hospital by a cousin.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Sunday, October 18, 2020 at about 1:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a trail at the end of Airport Road. The trail went west through a clear-cut, then down a hill where it intersected with another dirt road. A white Acura was stopped in the middle of the dirt road. It appeared to try and go back the way it came, but could not make it up the steep muddy hillside. Deputies spoke to a neighbor who stated the younger male driving the vehicle said he would contact Starker Forests about opening a gate to let him out.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, FAIL TO APPEAR ON CRIMINAL CITATION - On Sunday, October 18, 2020, around 10:45 A.M., Austin Snyder, 24, was arrested on two Failure to Appear warrants and for Unlawful Possession of Meth. He was issued criminal citations.
HARASSMENT - On Saturday, October 17, 2020 at around 9:00 PM, deputies spoke with a couple by phone about a man Jason Evans, 31, calling and harassing them. They wanted him to stop contacting them by phone or texts. Deputies spoke with him by phone and explained to him to stop all contact via phone or internet with the couple. Deputies explained to him he could be arrested for telephonic harassment if he did.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Saturday, October 17, 2020 at approximately 8:40 P.M., vehicle 2 was southbound on Highway 99W near Robison Road. Vehicle 2 slowed and stopped for a vehicle that was turning onto Robison Road from Highway 99W. Vehicle 1 was south bound on Highway 99W, did not see stopped traffic, and crashed into the back of vehicle 2.
DWS MIS - On Saturday, October 17, 2020 at around 5:18 PM, deputies were traveling northbound on 4th street approaching Harrison Blvd when they stopped Keith McGuckin, 32, for a lighting violation, right taillight out. Deputies ran McGuckin through dispatch for wants, warrants and driving status and he returned Suspended Misdemeanor through Oregon DMV. McGuckin admitted he knew he did not have an Oregon Driver`s License. Deputies cited McGuckin for Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor, then released him at his vehicle and told him he could not drive in Oregon until he obtained a driving license. McGuckin was warned for the lighting violation.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday October 17, 2020 at about 2:40 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a parking lot off Highway 99W for an injury crash. Unit one was traveling south on Highway 99W in his Ford F250 company truck and crashed into Unit 2 in her silver Kia Forte as she was stopped, placing mail in mailboxes. The Ford crashed into a culvert and destroyed part of the culvert. No injuries reported.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, October 17, 2020 at about 7:10 A.M., deputies were dispatched to 3rd St. and Kiger Island Dr. for an injury crash with an occupant of a vehicle trapped inside. The driver was traveling south on 3rd St. near Kiger Island Dr. in a 2017 Kubota M8600 tractor, towing a trailer without any lights. The tractor had two white lights showing to the rear. A driver crashed into the Kubota tractor with his 2003 GMC Sonoma.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On October 16, 2020 around 10:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 7100 block of NE Vandenberg Ave, Adair, for a reported trespass. The reporting person stated there was a small white vehicle down the trail that dead-ends at the Adair Pond. When deputies arrived, they looked down the trail, and walked to the dead end that was behind the baseball field at Santiam Christian School. The trespasser was gone before they arrived.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 16, at 4:16 PM, deputies observed Anthony Adams, 52, in the back seat of a Honda Accord on NW Tyler Avenue near NW 3rd Street in Corvallis. Adams had five confirmed warrants for his arrest. Adams was taken into custody and later released with new court dates for the warrants.
FELON IN POSS OF FIREARM, POSS HEROIN, WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, October 15, 2020, at approximately 8:35 PM, deputies stopped DONNIE ALAN CARPENTER, 39, in a 2001 white Ford F250 for a moving violation near NW 9th Street and NW Grant Avenue in Corvallis. Deputies conducted a probable cause search after a positive alert by a narcotics detection K9. Inside the vehicle deputies located a loaded Glock 22 .40 handgun and a usable amount of Heroin. CARPENTER, a convicted felon on post-prison supervision by the Oregon State Parole Board, was arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of Firearm (C Felony) and Unlawful Possession of Heroin (B Felony) and transported to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged on the charges and an Oregon State Parole Board Detainer from his Parole Officer.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Thursday, October 15, 2020 at about 10:30 A.M., deputies arrived on the 6700 block of NE Pettibone Dr. for a report of a trespass. The resident said on the morning of Monday, October 12, a male was observed walking on her property. She showed deputies a video of a male with shaggy hair and a beard, wearing a long sleeve jacket and jeans. Deputies were unable to identify the male. She said she only wanted the information documented if there were issues around the area that may be related to this incident.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING, DUII, RECKLESS DRIVING - On October 14, 2020, deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on Sulphur Springs Rd near milepost 2. Tyler JONES, 28, had swerved for a deer and rolled his vehicle. Neither JONES nor his passenger were injured. Deputies noted JONES` pupils were dilated, his eyes were bloodshot, and they could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. JONES consented to field sobriety tests. Deputies arrested JONES for DUII, Reckless Driving, and Reckless Endangerment. JONES consented to provide physical cooperation in submitting to a breath test. JONES` blood alcohol content was 0.11%. JONES was later released to a friend.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 10/14/20, Lawrence Lemaster, 41, was getting released from the Benton County Jail when he was ran for warrants. An Albany Municipal Court warrant was located for Criminal Trespass II. A new court date was issued.
THEFT 2 - LOST/MISLAID PROPERTY, UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE - On October 14, 2020 at about 1:20 PM, deputies were dispatched to a report of a car prowl in progress on Highway 20 near Circle Blvd. The reporting party said that his 1999 Chevy Venture van had broken down alongside the highway and that someone appeared to be actively trying to break into his van. Deputies responded and arrested Nicholaus Cotter, 40, for trying to steal a jack, UEMV, and possession of methamphetamine.
WARRANT ARREST -On Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at about 12:15 A.M., deputies were on Independence Highway near milepost 1 when they initiated a traffic stop on a red Chevy Impala. Deputies identified him as Nicholas Michael Harris, 30. Deputies ran Harris for wants and driving status. Dispatch advised Harris had three confirmed warrants out of Albany Municipal Court. Deputies issued Harris criminal citations, explained the court date to Harris and released him at the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at about 11:40 P.M., deputies were on Highway 20 near milepost 10 when they initiated a traffic stop on a red Ford Explorer. Deputies identified the passenger as Paula Rose Buck, 38. Dispatch advised that Buck had an unconfirmed failure to appear warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court. Deputies confirmed the warrant and issued her a criminal citation. They explained the court date and time to Buck and released her at the scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On October 9, 2020, at about 6:20 am, deputies were dispatched to a motor-vehicle crash on Highway 20, near Independence Highway. Car 1 was turning east onto highway 20 from Independence Highway. While turning, Car 2 was driving west on Highway 20. Car 1 hit car 2 at an angle head on causing car 2 to spin and come to a stop in the eastbound lane. Both vehicles were towed.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING, POSS/MANUF/DEL CONT`L SUB SCH 3, DUII - On Saturday, October 3, 2020 at about 2:18 am, deputies were driving west on Harrison Blvd near NW 4th Street when they observed a vehicle turn east onto Harrison from between 5th and 6th Street. Harrison Blvd is a one-way, westbound street. Deputies later arrested the driver, Zachary Carr, 19, for DUII after they determined he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Carr`s blood alcohol content was .13%. Carr was released to a friend.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On October 13, 2020 at about 7:00 AM, deputies responded to the area of Hewitt Rd near the intersection of Nichols road for an abandoned U-Haul truck. Deputies observed that it was vacant and locked from the outside in the storage area. Additionally, it was on private property. Deputies put the property manager in touch with U-Haul recovery.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at about 2:58 PM, deputies contacted Jedidiah Tate, 39, on the 500 block of NW Rondo St in Adair. Tate had an outstanding FTA warrant for his arrest out of Marion County, original charge Assault IV. Tate was also charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine. Tate was cited and released in the field on both the warrant and drug charges.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 15, 2020, at 8:22 PM, deputies stopped Dennis Becker, 34, on Highway 20 near Priest Road in Philomath for traveling 81 miles per hour in a posted 55 mile per hour speed area. Becker had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Corvallis Municipal Court. The warrant was for Failure to Appear - Violent Conduct, Bail $5,000. Becker was issued a new court date for the warrant and cited for the speeding violation.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, October 2, 2020, at about 3:20 AM, deputies stopped a black Ford Econoline van for window tint on Walnut Boulevard and Maser Drive, in Corvallis. The driver, Samuel Monroe JR, 43, had a suspended driving status and a confirmed warrant for Contempt of Court through Lebanon Municipal court. Monroe JR was cited and released for the warrant and issued various traffic citations. WARRANT INFO: Lebanon Municipal Court CHARGE: Contempt of Court- DWS- Violation, BAIL: $10,000.00.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING, POSS HEROIN, LITTERING, RECKLESS DRIVING, ELUDE VEHICLE, WARRANT ARREST, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, ELUDE FOOT - On Monday, October 5, 2020 at about 3:05 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Philomath Blvd at 15th St. The driver of the vehicle, GARY TIMOTHY MARTINEZ, 30, fled in the vehicle after pulling over. Deputies pursued the vehicle to Albany where he was taken into custody after being bit by an Albany Police K-9. MARTINEZ was transported to the Benton County Jail and lodged.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE - On October 8, 2020, at 9:43 PM, deputies arrested Toby Brown on the 400 block of NW 2nd Street in Corvallis. Brown was charged with multiple counts of Burglary II, Theft II, and Criminal Trespass II, in regards to several theft cases in Benton County. Brown was additionally charged with one count of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.
ASSAULT 2 ATTEMPTED, MENACING, RECKLESS ENDANGERING - On October 13, 2020 around 2:30 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 25700 block of Cherry Creek Rd, Monroe, for a reported disturbance. A female reported Dawson James Edward King, 24, attempted to run her over with his truck. Dawson left the scene, was located the following day, and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Thursday, October 8, 2020, 10:20 PM, deputies were dispatched to a prowler on the 170 block of NE Burris Street, in Corvallis. They arrived and spoke to the resident about the complaint. He said he saw someone with a green laser pointer shining the light into his windows. Deputies searched the area but did not find anyone. No other suspicious activity was reported.
MISSING PERSON - On October 12, 2020, a Bend resident was reported as a missing person, as he did not arrive from Monroe to his home. He was later found walking near Brownsville.
ASSAULT 2 ATTEMPTED, MENACING, RECKLESS ENDANGERING - On October 13, 2020 around 2:30 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 25700 block of Cherry Creek Rd, Monroe, for a reported disturbance. A female reported Dawson James Edward King, 24, attempted to run her over with his truck. Dawson left the scene, was located the following day, and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at about 2:48 PM, deputies were dispatched to a non-injury motor vehicle crash on Highway 34 near milepost 51. The driver was traveling too fast for the conditions, lost control and slid up the embankment backwards, causing his 2009 Toyota Camry to roll onto the driver’s side. He was not hurt and the Camry was towed.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3, FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On September 30, 2020, at around 6:54 pm, deputies were dispatched to a reported hit-and-run incident near Milepost 57, near 24000 Highway 34, Philomath. The caller told deputies someone drove off the road and destroyed her mailboxes and a roadside marker. She estimated the time of the incident between 2:00pm and 4:30pm. Car parts recovered at the scene suggest a newer model blue Hyundai Elantra extensively damaged its front passenger-side bumper. She estimated the cost of the mailbox and posts at around $50.
DUII DRUGS, WARRANT ARREST - On October 7, 2020, at around 1:22 am, deputies initiated a traffic stop on silver 1999 Toyota Solara at the intersection of Hwy 20 and Conifer Blvd. The driver, Patrick Sundberg, 30, had a cite-and-release warrant from Linn County Circuit Court for Felony possession of a restricted weapon and a cite-and-release warrant from Albany Municipal Court for Theft of lost/mislaid property. Sundberg was issued criminal citations for both warrants, a criminal citation for Driving under the influence - drugs, and two other citations for violations.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER, POSS HEROIN, WARRANT ARREST, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE - On Thursday, October 8, 2020, at approximately 6:16 P.M., deputies I stopped a 2001 BMW 330 for Fail To Register Vehicle in the area of 2nd Street and Van Buren Avenue. They  arrested the passenger, SARAH MARGARET DAVIS, 26, on multiple warrants as well as new charges of False Information to Peace Officer, Unlawful Possession of Heroin, and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine after a consent search. SARAH was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody due to the jail not accepting her, and released at the scene.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On October 4, 2020, a woman called the Sheriff`s Office to report a trespass on the 2100 block of NE Highway 20. She reported a 20-year-old male dropped off some cans into their trash then started smoking marijuana from a can. She told him to leave but he refused. She called 911 and he left before deputies arrived.
UUV, POSS STOLEN VEHICLE - On Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at about 7:22 P.M., deputies arrested Tieran James Silver, 18, for Unlawful use of a vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle. Tieran was driving a silver 2014, Volkswagen Jetta, which was stolen earlier from a dealership in Eugene. The vehicle was being tracked by Volkswagen Emergency Response, who relayed the information to Linn County Dispatch. Tieran was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and released.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 10/8/20 AT APPROXIMATELY 0543 REXROAD, TYLER, 30, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH STREET BECAUSE HE THOUGHT HE HAD A WARRANT. REXROAD HAD A WARRANT FOR FTA PCS METH OUT OF LINCOLN CO, BAIL $50,000. THE WARRANT WAS CONFIRMED BY DISPATCH AND SERVED ON REXROAD. REXROAD WAS GIVEN A NEW COURT DATE AND TIME.
WARRANT ARREST - On 10/8/20 Isaac McGrew, 45, was transported back to BCJ from NORCOR for release. McGrew had an Albany muni warrant for contempt of court, no bail. Deputies issued McGrew a new court date and he was released from BCJ.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 9, 2020, deputies arrested GREGORY LEE IRELAND, 50, on a confirmed misdemeanor warrant out of Lincoln County after a traffic stop on Highway 34 near milepost 3.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday October 9, 2020 at about 11:30 P.M., deputies arrived at Scenic Dr. and Mariposa Dr. for a single vehicle crash. Vehicle 1 was traveling south on Scenic Dr. and said he lost steering in his 2014 Ford Focus. He told deputies it felt as if something mechanically had broken in his vehicle while negotiating a turn. He complained about not feeling well, but did not want to be evaluated by medics.
MENACING - On Friday, October 9, 2020, at approximately 7:10 P.M., deputies responded to the 23800 block of Highway 99W, B, Junction City, and later arrested Linda Luella Fredrickson, 66, for telling the victim, "I should kill you for the way you`re acting." Deputies arrested Fredrickson for Menacing and transported her to the Benton County Jail where she was lodged.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On 10/09/2020 at approximately 21:55 hours, Benton County Sheriff`s Deputies responded to a residence on NE HWY 20 for suspicious activity. The homeowner called to report someone had unlawfully entered their vehicle outside their residence. An investigation was conducted which yielded no evidence or constructive leads to follow.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING - On Sunday, October 11, 2020 at about 9:20 A.M., deputies spoke with a firefighter at the Hoskins fire department. He stated he and his two friends were hunting near shingle creek, when a group of 3 hunters shot towards him, hitting the trees over his head. He stated he yelled at the other group, who yelled back they "Saw a buck". He attempted to locate the other group`s vehicle, but they had already left. He had no further suspect description.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 11, 2020, at about 11:50 P.M., deputies were at Fourth Street near Jefferson Avenue when they observed a white Honda Accord with expired registration. Deputies initiated a traffic stop at Fifth Street near Madison Avenue and contacted the driver, April Dawn Bonds, 36, and ran her through dispatch for wants and driving status. Dispatch Bonds had a failure to appear warrant out of Benton County. Deputies confirmed the warrant and issued Bonds a criminal citation as requested by the Benton County Jail staff. Deputies explained the court date and time to Bonds and released her at the scene.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On September 25, 2020 at approximately 1520, ADAM, Nicholas Aaron, 40, turned himself into the jail on a possible warrant. Deputies found a confirmed warrant for FTA Disorderly Conduct 2. The warrant was cleared and a new court date and time was given.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 10/2/20, Dana Barnes, 42, turned himself into the jail on a Circuit Court warrant. After confirming the warrant he was issued a court date and time to appear.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 10/4/2020, Trevor Anderson, 37, was in custody and ready to be released. Deputies checked for any warrants and located an Albany Municipal Court warrant was for criminal trespass II. The warrant was confirmed with dispatch and then served.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at approximately 1257, WRIGHT, Ashley, 26, Moralynn turned herself in at the Benton County Jail and indicated that she had an outstanding warrant. A valid warrant issued by Benton County Circuit Court on September 16, 2020 was confirmed served. Charges: Criminal Mistreatment I, ID Theft, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card and Theft III, Bail: $6,000. WRIGHT was released after having signed an agreement to appear at the Benton County Circuit Court at a later date.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - Timothy Frakes, 54, was transported back from NORCOR on 10/8/20 for release from BCJ. Albany Muni court warrant found and confirmed. Court date issued and subject released from BCJ.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 10/08/20, ADAM, Nicholas, 40, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail. Adam had a Benton Circuit warrant for FTA PCS. Deputies confirmed this warrant through dispatch and then served the warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 9, 2020, deputies arrested GREGORY LEE IRELAND, 50, on a confirmed misdemeanor warrant out of Lincoln County after a traffic stop on Highway 34 near milepost 3.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 11, 2020, at about 4:40 P.M., deputies were on 99W near Walnut Boulevard, when they observed a silver Chrysler Town and Country Van driven by Kelley Jo Iverson, 51. Deputies have stopped Iverson several times and knew she did not have valid driver’s license. Dispatch advised Iverson had a failure to appear warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court. Iverson was issued a criminal citation for the warrant and a traffic citation for DWS violation. Deputies explained the court dates to Iverson, and released her at the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 11, 2020, at about 5:15 P.M., deputies were at Lewisburg Avenue near Highway 99W when they observed a GMC Yukon parked at the Lewisburg store. Deputies approached the Yukon and contacted Zachary Luke Tyler, 41, and Tarah Lyn Hyre, 32. Deputies learned Hyre and Tyler had multiple warrants through Albany Municipal court and Marion County Circuit Court. Deputies confirmed all warrants and issued Hyre a criminal citation. Then they released Hyre at the scene and transported Tyler to the law enforcement center where Tyler was issued criminal citations for his warrants and released.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING, DUII - On Monday, September 28, 2020 at about 12:05 AM, deputies arrested JOHN STEVEN SHERMAN, 43, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. SHERMAN refused a breath test and was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where his blood was taken after a Search Warrant was granted. SHERMAN was later cited and released from the Sheriff`s Office.
THEFT 2 - On Wednesday, October 7, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of E Main Street for a theft. The resident had a hammock stolen from her porch near the end of June. The hammock was valued at $130. No suspect information.
POSS HEROIN - On Thursday, October 8, 2020, deputies saw Andrew James Pondelick, 25, walking on SW 5th Street near SW Adams Avenue. They knew there was a valid Probable Cause Affidavit for Pondelick’s arrest with the Corvallis Police Department. Deputies transported Pondelick to the Benton County Sheriff`s Office where he was issued a citation and court date for Unlawful Possession of Heroin Misdemeanor.
BURGLARY 2, THEFT 2; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Thursday, October 9, 2020 at about 5:20 P.M., deputies spoke with a resident by telephone regarding an attempted burglary. He said around 3:20 P.M., he observed Toby Brown, 42, on camera breaking into his cash box and stealing money. Later in the evening, deputies observed the vehicle Brown is associated with in a parking lot in Corvallis. They interviewed and arrested Brown after he admitted to committing multiple crimes at the location on NE Hwy 20.
VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT - On October 8, 2020, at 8:14 PM, deputies stopped Che Salpas, 21, on NW Tyler Avenue near NW 4th Street in Corvallis for driving without headlights. Salpas had a confirmed No Contact Release Agreement, preventing him from having contact with his front seat passenger. Salpas was arrested for violating the release agreement and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Thursday, October 1, 2020 at about 3:07 pm, deputies were dispatched near the Sulphur Springs saddle for a suspicious vehicle parked in front of an OSU gate. Upon arrival, deputies observed a white Dodge Sprinter van backed up against the 5040 gate. The back doors of the van were open. Deputies issued the male occupant a citation for illegal parking.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On October 5, 2020, at around 6:46 pm, deputies were dispatched to a report of a BMW speeding at a high rate of speed on SE Kiger Island Road, Corvallis. Deputies encountered the BMW parked along the side of the road with two individuals taking photographs of it. The BMW`s registered owner told deputies they were taking photos and videos for a Youtube channel. The driver was warned about speeding.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, October 5, 2020 at about 2:10 P.M., Vehicle #2 was stopped in the east bout lane of Highway 20 at Garden Avenue, waiting for a UPS truck to turn from the highway onto Garden Avenue. Vehicle #1 was behind Vehicle #2, also traveling east on highway 20. Vehicle #1 collided with the rear of Vehicle #2. Neither driver reported any injuries. Vehicle #1 was towed and Vehicle #2 was left on the side of the road, out of the lane of travel.
THEFT 3 - On October 5, 2020 at about 10:30 am, deputies spoke with a woman by phone who reported a theft of a package from her mailbox on the 4500 block of NW Harrison Blvd. The package contained an $80 wool-lined jean jacket from Duluth Trading. It was delivered on 10/3/20 at 4:40 pm. She returned home on 10/4/20 at 7pm and the package was missing. No suspect info.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 3, 2020 at about 8:49 am, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle non injury traffic crash on Territorial Hwy near MP 3. The driver was southbound on Territorial when she missed her turn. She attempted to turn around, but was traveling too fast when she pulled off the side of the highway. She slid off the edge of a field entrance and ran into a small group of trees. Her vehicle sustained minimal damage and did not require a tow from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On 10/03/2020 at approximately 00:44 hours, Benton County Sheriff`s Deputies contacted Michael Brock, 33, and Rebecca Jarvis, 37. Brock and Jarvis both had active warrant for their arrest. Brock was taken to the Benton County Jail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ – On October 2, 2020 at 6:14 pm, Vehicle #1 was traveling westbound on Highway 20 near Highway 34 in Philomath. Vehicle #1 was attempting to merge from the left turn lane, to the right lane of travel. Vehicle #1 was unable to merge into traffic and crashed into a median. Vehicle #1 was towed to Philomath and there were no injuries reported.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On Friday, October 2, 2020, at about 1:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 950 block of Scenic Wood Place for a report of a possible trespass. The property owner stated an unknown male had walked into her residence and then left without incident. Deputies located the male walking north on Scenic Drive. The male was clearly autistic and was unaware of his actions. Deputies educated him on it being illegal to walk into other people’s homes without permission. The homeowner did not want to press any charges.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 1, 2020 at about 10:00 AM, deputies observed Ronald Mowdy, 27, failed to signal the turn on his bicycle while turning from Laurel Drive to Arnold Avenue. Mowdy had two warrants out for his arrest. Mowdy was released on a citation. The warrant information is as follows: Philomath Municipal Court, Contempt of Court Trespass II, $5000 bail and Lebanon Municipal Court, Probation Violation - Poss inhalants, $10,000 bail.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE ASSAULT - On 09/23/2020 at approximately 17:43 hours, Benton County Sheriff`s Deputies responded to a Domestic Violence call on HWY 180 in Blodgett. Subsequent investigation determined a physical altercation occurred between two intoxicated adults. There was insufficient evidence to affect an arrest on either party.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On 9/22/2020 at about 9:07 am, deputies were dispatched to the area of Oak Creek near Skillings for a report of a suspicious person. Deputies contacted a man near the area. He was uncooperative and refused to ID himself. Benton County Mental Health was contacted to speak with him.
POSS HEROIN, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE - On October 6, 2020 at around 6:40 pm., deputies contacted Jacob Myers on the 1700 block of NW 9th St. Meyers, 25, was later arrested, cited, and released for Unlawful Possession of Heroin and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, October 5, 2020, at about 11:50 P.M., deputies observed a blue Chrystler Aspen near 1st Avenue and Ellsworth Street make an unlawful lane change. Deputies initiated a traffic stop, contacted the driver, and explained the reason for the stop. The driver identified herself as Lori Jo Ann Schuh, 60. Deputies checked Schuh through dispatch for wants and driving status. Dispatch advised Schuh had a cite and release warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court for Possession of Methamphetamine. Deputies confirmed the warrant and issued Schuh criminal citation. Schuh was released at the scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 10/05/2020 at approximately 16:20 hours, Benton County Sheriff`s Deputies responded to an injury crash on Sulpher Springs Rd. A motorcycle rider failed to negotiate a curve and crashed into a ditch. The rider was taken to the hospital with a shoulder injury.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday October 5, 2020 at about 9:40 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 34 near milepost #2 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised one of the passengers, JAMES LEONARD DRAK, 52, had two outstanding warrants out of Albany Municipal Court. DRAKE was issued citations for both warrants and released in the field.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On Sunday, October 4, 2020, around 12:45 P.M., Lawrence Lemaster, 41, and Erik DeVaney, 44, were arrested on the 3800 block of SW Neer Avenue. Lemaster was taken to the Benton County Jail on multiple charges. DeVaney was issued a criminal citation and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at about 11:45 PM, deputies found a vehicle that left the roadway on Highway 501, near milepost 5. Car 1 was driving south when it appeared to cross the northbound lane, driving off the road. Car 1 had become stuck in a culvert and was unable to get out. They found Driver 1 at a residence about 0.25 miles north. Driver 1 stated she swerved to miss a deer but went off the road. Driver 1 was not intoxicated but stated she was very tired; she sustained no injuries.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, September 28, 2020 at about 11:55 PM, deputies were following a green Dodge Van on Territorial Highway, near Highpass Road, south of Monroe. While following the Dodge van, they saw the van hit two deer at one time before coming to a stop. Deputies spoke to the driver who said he was uninjured. There was a small amount of minor cosmetic damage. He was able to drive his van home without trouble and both deer were moved off to the side of the road.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 10/4/20 AT APPROXIMATELY 2152, DEPUTIES WERE PREPARING TRANSPORT JERAMIE MOORE, 43, WHEN THEY LEARNED HE HAD A WARRANT OUT OF LANE CO FOR FTA FELON IN POSS, BAIL $50K. THE WARRANT WAS SERVED ON MOORE, WHO WAS LOCATED AT THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL, 190 NW 4TH STREET IN CORVALLIS.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On Saturday, October 3, 2020 at around 8:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to the park in Adair off Laurel Dr. for found property. A duffle bag was found in the park behind a shed. Deputies attempted to contact they owner, but were unable to locate him. Deputies entered the pack into evidence as found property.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Friday, October 2, 2020, at about 7:20 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 3200 block of NW Southview Drive for a suspicious vehicle. The resident said at about 6:30 AM, an older blue/gray, 4 door Datsun style vehicle with no muffler parked in her driveway and opened the driver’s door. She said she didn`t see anyone get out of the vehicle and it left shortly after she observed it. She called a neighbor who saw the vehicle too and said it has been in the neighborhood recently. Deputies checked the area and were unable to locate it. Deputies advised her to call back if the vehicle returned.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Thursday, October 1, 2020 at about 3:20 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of SW 53rd St. for a trespass. Robert Moore, 45, Skyla Williams, 48, Kevin Day, 66, and Wayne Peterson, 56, were cited for criminal trespass II.
THEFT 3, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Thursday, October 1, 2020 at about 1:50 P.M., deputies spoke with a resident on the 3800 block of NW Highway 20 by phone. She said just after 12:00 A.M. on October 1, an unknown male broke into their cash box and stole $29.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 10/01/20, Cornett, Melissa, 34, was getting released from Benton Co Jail. Deputies ran a wants/warrant check on Cornett and learned she had a Corvallis Municipal warrant for FTA Violent conduct. Deputies confirmed this warrant thru records and then served the warrant on Cornett.
FORGERY 2, IDENTITY THEFT - On Thursday, October 1, 2020 at about 10:50 A.M., deputies spoke with a man by telephone whom reported two days ago he noticed $240.97 missing from his bank account. He spoke with his bank regarding the issue. On September 20, someone had used a check and forged his name at a grocery store in Molalla. He told deputies when he opened the account he probably left his checks in another person`s car. He said he only wanted to report the issue to get a case number for the bank.
DUII DRUGS, FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER, RECKLESS DRIVING - On Thursday, October 1, 2020, at about 1:00 P.M., dispatch advised an off-duty deputy was following a vehicle that had difficulties maintaining its lane and had struck two different objects. The driver, Jordan Hoffer, 33, was arrested for DUII, Reckless Driving and Failure to Perform Duties of a Driver.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 9/28/20 AT APPROXIMATELY 0605, DEPUTIES RAN CARRILLO, ALEXIS, 22, AND LEARNED SHE HAD A WARRANT FOR FTA THEFT 3, OUT OF ALBANY MUNI. THE WARRANT WAS SERVED ON CARRILLO, WHO WAS LOCATED AT THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL, 190 NW 4TH ST, IN CORVALLIS.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 30, 2020 at about 3:00 PM, deputies observed a Volkswagon Passat driving south on North Albany Rd and then turning east onto Highway 20. They observed that the rear passenger-side occupant threw a lit cigarette on to the Highway as the driver was turning. Deputies initiated a traffic stop that at the intersection of Ellsworth and 3rd Street in Albany. Deputies contacted the passenger and explained the violation when the male subject sitting next to her stated that he did it. Deputies identified both of them, the female by identification card and the male by name and date of birth. Upon running the male, who stated that he was Logan Wilkins DOB **87, they learned that Logan had a felony warrant for his arrest. The male then stated that he lied and that was his brother who coincidentally also had a warrant. The male then gave deputies what he reported to be his real name, Sean Wilkins, 35. Deputies also located a felony parole violation warrant for this subject, confirmed the date of birth, social security number, and a marijuana tattoo on his ankle. Deputies took Sean into custody, placed him in handcuffs, checked them for tightness and double locked them. Sean was transported to the Linn County Jail where he was lodged. The warrant information is as follows: Statewide felony warrant, Oregon Parole Board, No bail.
DWS FEL, WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at about 1:45 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Main St. near 14th St. for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, CHRISTOPHER JERRELL ENSLEY, 37, was arrested for Driving While Revoked (Felony) and on an outstanding Parole Violation Warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, September 24, 2020 at about 12:25 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on the Highway 34 Bypass for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, TARAH LYN HYRE, 32, had two outstanding Warrants out of Linn County Circuit Court. HYRE was issued citations in the field and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On 09/23/2020 at approximately 23:45 hours, Benton County Sheriff`s Deputies stopped a white sedan on NW 9th Street in Corvallis. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Kalvin Schunn, 20. Schunn had an active warrant for his arrest. Schunn was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
DWS MIS - On Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at about 11:40 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 34 near milepost #1 for a traffic violation. The driver, BILL DEAN BLANCHAT, 40, was subsequently arrested for Driving While Revoked (Misdemeanor). BLANCHAT was cited and released in the field.
DWS MIS, WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at about 1:20 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Philomath Blvd. near 15th St. for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, ZACHARY LUKE TYLER, 41, was arrested for Driving While Revoked (Misdemeanor) and on an outstanding warrant.
BURGLARY 1, THEFT 2, UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Saturday, September 26, 2020 at approximately 2:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the 2600 block of Michelle Drive for a burglary that had just occurred. Dispatch said the person who had been inside the house had left in a vehicle but there was no description. The residents said someone came in through an unlocked back door, entered both vehicles, and stole a wallet with a license, credit cards and 100.00 dollars inside.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 22, 2020, at about 9:05 p.m., I contacted DONALD RESUE, 27, on NW Palestine Avenue about 1/2 mile east of NW Independence Highway. RESUE was riding his bike without required lighting equipment. I cited and released RESUE for 5 confirmed Corvallis Municipal Court warrants for FTA Illegal Camping.
BURGLARY 2 - On Friday, September 18, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the 6300 block of SW Reservoir Ave for a burglary. They arrived and spoke with the resident who said miscellaneous tools were stolen from his shop. The items were taken between 8:00PM on Thursday, September 17, and 11:30AM on Friday September 18. He believes the suspect gained access to the storage by climbing over a temporary wall. He reported 3 Harbor Freight socket sets, a Dewalt carrying case, and miscellaneous hand tools were taken valued at $275.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at about 1:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W near milepost 87 for a report of a non-injury crash. They arrived and observed a red 2002 Ford F150 parked in a driveway with heavy rear-end damage and a white 2002 Lincoln LS parked in the same driveway with minor front-end damage. The driver of the Ford stated he did not see the driver of the Lincoln slow and come to a stop for traffic and crashed into rear of him. No citations issued as the drivers are roommates and agreed citations were not necessary.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at about 3:05 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Parole and Probation Office to contact Matthew Jareth Jason McGowan, 25, and later arrested him on two confirmed warrants. McGowan was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday September 30th, 2020 at about 1:45 AM, as deputies were leaving the Sheriff`s Office, they contacted a male at the intersection of 4th St. and Van Buren Ave. Dispatch advised the male, KEVIN CHARLES BACHMEIER, 24, had two outstanding Warrants out for him. Deputies transported BACHMEIER to the Polk County Jail where he was lodged. He was issued a citation on the second Warrant at the request of Albany P.D.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 9/29/20 AT APPROXIMATELY 1715, CARTER PORT, 20, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE LOBBY OF THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL. BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT WARRANT WAS FOUND FOR DUII AND RECKLESS DRIVING. THE WARRANT WAS CONFIRMED AND SERVED.
LURING A MINOR, ONLINE SEXUAL CORRUPTION OF A CHILD 1, USE CHILD DISPLAY SEX EXPL CONDUCT PORN - On Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at about 9:02 P.M., at NE Arnold Avenue and the Adair County Park, deputies arrested Coty James Vuncannon, 27, for Online Sexual Corruption of a Child I, Luring a Minor and Attempted - Using child in display of sexually explicit conduct. Cody agreed to meet an undercover deputy posing as a 14-year-old girl for sex, and solicited the girl for nude photographs of herself. Cody was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged. Cody`s vehicle was left at the scene.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Sept. 16, 2020 at approximately 1014, HINRICHS, David Lawrence, 50, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail and indicated he had an oustanding warrant. A valid Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Att. Elude, DUI, Reckless Driving and Interfering with Police was confirmed by Corvallis Police Records and served. HINRICHS was released after having signed an agreement to appear at the Benton County Circuit Court at a later date, which was forwarded to the court.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On 9/12/2020 at around 11:00 PM, deputies spoke with a resident on the 4900 block of NW Highway 99W about someone damaging his RV. He had been helping people with fire evacuations in the Woodburn area. He returned that night and found someone had broken into his RV and damaged the door and searched through his RV. Deputies asked him to send a list of anything missing and damage to the RV. As of 9/27/2020, deputies had not received any messages from him.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 21, 2020 at about 3:40 a.m., deputies stopped a car at 1st Avenue and Ellsworth St in Albany, OR. The driver, Nathen J Shoemaker, 22, had thirteen Linn County warrants and the passenger, Tiffany Anne Bates, 20, had a warrant. Linn County Correctional Facility refused to lodge Shoemaker. Deputies issued citations for all of the warrants.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On September 25, 2020, deputies were dispatched to Dawson Road near Milepost 6 for a report of an injury traffic crash. A Chevrolet Tahoe was on its way to Oliver Creek when the driver lost control, rolling the vehicle, coming to rest on the side. The driver said she did not know the reason why she crashed.
BURGLARY 2, THEFT 2, UUV, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Sunday, September 27, 2020, at 1:56 a.m., deputies responded to the 6000 block of NW Hwy 20, Albany, for a report of a stolen vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a felony traffic stop. Cole Stuempges, 37, was arrested for UUV, Burglary II, Criminal Trespass II, and Theft II. He was transported to the Benton County Jail and issued citations.
INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER - On Sunday, September 27, 2020, at 4:46 a.m., deputies attempted conduct a traffic stop on a bicycle near the intersection of SW 3rd St and Bridgeway Ave, Corvallis, for not having a forward facing bike light. The bicycle eluded deputies, and got away. Unknown who the rider was.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE ASSAULT - On September 28, 2020 at about 7:30 am, deputies were dispatched to the 25900 block of Cherry Creek Rd for a disturbance. A woman reported getting into an argument with her brother. During the argument she was slightly injured, but did not want to pursue criminal charges.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On September 28, 2020, a resident called the Sheriff`s Office to report a suspicious person. She saw a suspicious man push two bicycles into the wooded tree farm area on SW West Hills Road near SW Timian Street. While searching for the person, Deputies contacted Darrell Hounchell, 47, inside a tent on private property northwest of 4515 SW West Hills Road. Hounchell had a warrant for his arrest out of Linn County Circuit Court for Unlawful possession of Meth. Linn County Jail authorized citation for the warrant. Hounchell was cited and released.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Monday, September 28, 2020 at about 3:20 P.M., deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident by phone. She stated over the past month she had two fence panels ripped off her fence and needed to be replaced. Earlier today, she noticed a cross beam on the fence, was knocked down and at the base of the fence. She suspected a previous stalker. She has no other suspect information and stated she had no proof it was he that damaged her fence.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 09/23/2020, at approximately 21:18 hours, Benton County Sheriff`s Deputies responded to NE Arnold Ave for a motor vehicle crash. Subsequent investigation determined a 2015 Jeep Wrangler left the roadway at a high rate of speed. The Jeep impacted a large oak tree causing heavy front end damage. Additionally the vehicle caught fire as a result of the crash. A witness to the crash, with the help of a nearby resident, pulled the driver from the burning vehicle. The driver was transported to Good Samaritan hospital by Corvallis medics.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Friday, September 25, 2020 at about 9:48 am, deputies were dispatched to the area of SW 53rd Street near Reservoir Avenue for a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, they spoke with the driver of unit one. Unit one was headed north on SW 53rd street. Unit one came to a stop to avoid hitting two dogs crossing the road. Unit one was rear ended. Unit two was also headed north on 53rd street, when the vehicle in front of him stopped quickly. Unit two rear-ended unit one.
BURGLARY 2, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On Friday, September 25, 2020 at about 12:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of SW Wake Robin Ave. for a report of criminal mischief. Upon arrival, they spoke with the manager who said as he was walking around the property, he noticed one of the units had the lock cut and removed.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On September 25, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the area of 4900 Bellfountain Road for a suspicious vehicle. Deputies contacted the driver who was in a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro. He said he was just finishing up some work for a landowner, which was confirmed. No crime.
WARRANT ARREST - On 09/25/20, Lowery, Troy, 52, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail. He had two Corvallis Municipal warrant for FTA Trespass and FTA open container. Deputies confirmed the warrants through records and then served the warrants on Lowery.
RECKLESS BURNING - On Saturday, September 26, 2020 at around 7:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to a fireworks complaint at the North Albany Park. They arrived and saw an Albany Fire vehicle pulling in also. There were 3 firework boxes that had been recently used sitting on a bench inside the gazebo, that were still on fire. Albany Police had used a fire extinguisher to put the fire out prior to their arrival. A witness saw someone light the fireworks off by the swings and left the used firework containers on the bench inside the gazebo. He said he saw a silver SUV leave prior to law enforcement arriving.
VEHICLE RECOVERED FOR OTHER AGENCY - On Saturday, September 19, 2020, at about 9:00 am, deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of Rondo Street for a report of an abandoned vehicle. Deputies arrived and located a black, 1997 Honda Civic, parked unoccupied on the side of Rondo Street. Dispatch confirmed the Honda was a stolen vehicle out of Corvallis. The registered owner was contacted.
DOG BITE – On September 23, 2020 two dogs from the 31100 block of McCreedy Lane in Philomath were impounded at Heartland Humane Society for biting a woman. The dogs will be serving a ten-day bite quarantine.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, September 24, 2020 at about 2:40 P.M., deputies stopped a 2006 Dodge Magnum in the parking lot of Park and Ride off Highway 34 in Albany. The passenger was identified as Steven Grimm, 50. Grimm had multiple confirmed warrants out of Linn County, Sweet Home and Lebanon. Grimm was arrested and transported to the Law Enforcement Center where he was released on his warrants.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 09/25/2020, at approximately 17:48 hours, Benton County Sheriff`s Deputies responded to a non-injury motor vehicle crash on Plymouth Drive. Subsequent investigation determined the driver was distracted by a mobile electronic device and crashed. The driver was issued a citation for careless driving.
POSS HEROIN - On September 23, 2020 around 10:30 AM, deputies approached Christopher Edward Louquailler, 30, at Hyak Park. Louqualiller was asleep in the driver’s seat of his vehicle with a sheet of tinfoil with black residue on it, in his lap. After getting consent from Christopher to search his vehicle, deputies located two additional sheets of tinfoil, with a black residue, and a tooter – a tube used for snorting. Deputies cited Christopher for Possession of Heroin and released him.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at about 8:20 A.M., deputies responded to the gate at Goracke Road for a reported suspicious person who often frequents park. Deputies spoke with a man who was fishing at the river. He stated he came to the park multiple times after he found it on Google Earth. He stated he was upset because someone put a note on his motorcycle saying the park was closed. He said he would follow the county rules and visit the park from dawn to dusk.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, September 23, 2020 at about 12:25 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Territorial Highway (Highway 200) near milepost #4 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, SHARI LOU TREADWAY, 41, had an outstanding Warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court. TREADWAY was issued a citation and released in the field.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, September 22, 2020 at about 11:50 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Territorial Highway (Highway 200) for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, MICHAEL DANIEL GILLOOLY, 35, had an outstanding Warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. GILLOOLY was issued a citation and released in the field.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at approximately 6:34 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle for Failure to Renew Registration at Hyak Park. The passenger, KRISTINA NOEL GREEN, 33, was arrested on an Albany Municipal Warrant and released with a criminal citation. The driver was issued a citation for DWS Violation.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 22, 2020 at about 2:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to perform a welfare check on a male on the side of HWY 20 near Shrike Way. Deputies contacted Kevin Charles Bachmeier, 24, collecting cans. Bachmeier had a confirmed no bail Linn County Circuit Court warrant for FTA-Escape III. Deputies issued Bachmeier a citation with a new court date.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 22, 2020 at around 8:30 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 27700 block of Guerber Ln, Corvallis, for a reported suspicious vehicle. The resident stated he discovered a Dodge Charger in his field that morning. The Charger belonged to Brittain Azarea Donaldson, 30, who had been taken to the hospital that morning after crashing his car in an unknown location. Deputies drove Brittain to his vehicle from Good Samaritan Hospital, and found a bag of methamphetamine in one of his backpacks. Deputies cited Brittain for Criminal Mischief 2, Criminal Trespass 2, and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.
WARRANT ARREST - On 09/18/2020 at approximately 21:17 hours, Benton County Sheriff`s Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle call at the Alsea falls recreation site. Joseph Dunham, 42, Christa Hoskinson, 29, and Cassidy Sullivan, 28, were all arrested on active warrants. Citations were issued in lieu of custody for all warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On 09/18/2020 at approximately 00:51 hours, Benton County Sheriff`s Deputies located a suspicious vehicle on Adair Frontage Rd. Nicholas Borden, 30, had a felony warrant. Borden was arrested and taken to the Benton County Jail.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On Monday, September 21, 2020, at about 9:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a suspicious person on the 2700 block of Frazier Creek Road. Deputies arrived and spoke with the resident who said she heard strange noises outside and believed someone was on the property. Deputies walked around the property and did not notice any signs of someone trespassing.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 09/18/2020 at approximately 1552 hours, Benton County Sheriff`s Deputies responded to a non-injury motor vehicle crash on Highway 20 near Circle Boulevard. Subsequent investigation determined an adult female driving a passenger car, executed a dangerous left turn onto Highway 20. The dangerous left turn resulted in a crash requiring both vehicles to be towed from the scene. The female was issued a citation for Dangerous Left Turn.
BURGLARY 2 - On 09/17/2020 at approximately 1723 hours, Benton County Deputies responded to the 200 block of NW 53rd Street for a cold burglary. Deputies spoke to an adult female who indicated someone tried to break into her residence. Tool marks were found on the backdoor, however the suspect did not make entry into to residence.
MENACING – On 09/16/2020 at approximately 2154 hours, a menacing occured on NW Springhill Drive. The incident was reported late to law enforcement. Deputies checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. No further investigative leads.
DWS MIS - On Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at about 10:40 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 20 near milepost 34. They later arrested the driver, JACOB MALCOM CAUTHORN, 27, Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor). CAUTHORN was cited and released in the field.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On 09/16/2020 at approximately 0153 hours, Benton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to suspicious activity on NW Frazier Creek Rd. Deputies checked the area, but were unable to locate anything suspicious.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On September 14, 2020 around 1:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 8800 block of Arboretum Road for a reported burglary. The resident stated someone attempted to break into a residence, near their main residence, around 2:30 AM the night before. The tenant stated a six-foot white male wearing a black beanie, black button down shirt, blue jeans, and cowboy boots, with a scruffy beard stepped into the residence and ran off when he asked him what was going on. The two stated nothing was taken and there was no damage.
ARSON 1 - On September 14, 2020 around 8:30 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 4000 block of SE Winslow Ct, Adair, for a reported arson. The owner stated one of his subcontractors found a burnt candle, and the smell of gas inside the residence. The cap to the gas line in the kitchen had been removed, and the house had a strong gas smell.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Saturday, September 12, 2020 at about 11:00 am, deputies were driving on Soap Creek Road checking OSU gates and property. Deputies located a Toyota Corolla, backed up near the C300 gate of OSU. ARON ROSENTHAL, 44, was located and issued citations for illegal parking and Criminal Trespass II.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 09/10/2020 at approximately 15:54 hours, Benton County Sheriff`s Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on HWY 34 near Milepost 43. Subsequent investigation determined there were no injuries and only one vehicle was involved. The vehicle sustained light damage but did not require a tow.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 21, 2020 around 11:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to 180 NW 5th St, Corvallis, in the Parole and Probation lobby, for a warrant service. Donald Rowland Dover, 45, came to turn himself in for a warrant that he had, which was a State Wide Felony Warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. Deputies confirmed Donald`s identity, and informed his he was under arrest. They walked Donald across the street to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On September 21, 2020, a man was plowing farm land pasture near Highway 99W and Paine Road south of Corvallis with farm equipment. His farm implement clipped a Pacific Corp Power pole, shearing the pole near the base. One line did break overhead requiring a crew to respond to replace and repair damage. He called Pacific Power after the accident and provided his information.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On Monday, September 21, 2020 at about 9:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the 24300 block of Highway 99 for a suspicious male standing in front of the property. Deputies arrived and spoke the resident who stated the male was wearing dark colored jeans, a grey and black jacket, and was about 40 years old. Deputies drove down Highway 99 and Hulbert Lake Road and were unable to locate the suspicious person.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE, UUV - On September 21, 2020 around 8:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident by phone for a reported stolen vehicle. He stated a work vehicle from had been stolen on September 20, 2020 at 1:19AM. The vehicle was described as a white 1999 Ford F250 crew cab, having a yellow and green pinstripe, a black toolbox, and a black headache rack.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, September 21, 2020 at about 3:00 AM, deputies stopped a car for a traffic violation just off Philomath Blvd. near 15th St. Dispatch advised the driver, KARALIE NICOLE STROMAN, 33, had an outstanding warrant out of Brownsville Municipal Court. Deputies issued STROHMAN a citation in the field and she was released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, September 19, 2020, at 4:54 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Harrison Blvd, and 53rd St, Corvallis. The driver, Jacob Ellignsen, 36, had seven confirmed warrants for his arrest. Ellingsen was issued citations on all warrants, and released on scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, September 16, 2020 at about 12:30 AM, Vehicle #1 was driving north on 53rd St. when it failed to obey the traffic signal at the intersection of Philomath Blvd and struck Vehicle 2, which was traveling west on Philomath Blvd. Both vehicles were towed from the scene with major damage. The driver of Vehicle #1, ROCHELLE CHRISTINE SMITH, 24, was arrested for multiple crimes.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Saturday, September 19, 2020 at about 10:00 A.M., deputies arrived at the 100 block of SW 53RD St. for a report of a trespass. The parties were moved along and trespassed from the property.
THEFT 2 - On Saturday, September 19, 2020 at about 11:00 A.M., while removing others from the Benton County Fairgrounds, deputies spoke with a woman about a stolen cellular phone. On September 18 between 2:00 - 11:00 P.M., someone entered her tent and stole her LG K40 phone, valued at $179. She had no idea who may have stolen the phone. She had another phone in her position similar to the one she stated was stolen.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, September 19, 2020 at about 7:00 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Cardwell Hill Dr. and Oak Creek Dr. for a downed tree. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the driver of a 2018 Honda CRV, which was traveling east on Cardwell Hill Dr. when a tree fell on the hood of his Honda. The tree was removed and the Honda was pulled off onto the side of the road.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 19, 2020, deputies were patrolling the Benton County Fairgrounds when they contacted and subsequently arrested JERRAD KEITH ELLIS, 33, on two confirmed misdemeanor warrants, one out of Lebanon Justice Court, P.V. CONTEMPT, and one out of Albany Municipal Court CRIMINAL TRESPASS II. Deputies issued ELLIS criminal citations on both warrants.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3, DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2, LITTERING - On 09/17/2020 at approximately 3:34 pm, Benton County Sheriff`s Deputies responded to the Benton County Jail near the sally port. Jonathan Birch, 29, was screaming and scattering trash around the area. Birch was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct II and lodged in the Benton County Jail.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, DUII, RECKLESS DRIVING, ELUDE VEHICLE, WARRANT ARREST - On September 16, 2020, deputies arrested ROCHELLE CHRISTINE WYONNA SMITH, 24, for numerous charges including D.U.I.I. and Attempt to Elude/vehicle after she fled from a traffic stop on Technology Loop near Philomath Boulevard.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Sept. 3, 2020 at approximately 1:45 pm, GAFFNEY, Joshua, 49, turned himself at the Benton County Jail in for outstanding warrants: Benton Circuit Court FTA - Assault IV X2; Benton Circuit Court, FTA – DUII; and Albany Municipal Court FTC – Contempt. The above warrants were confirmed by records and served. GAFFNEY was released after having signed release agreements which were forwarded to the above courts.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 7, 2020, Fallin, Sabrina, 39, turned herself into the jail on two confirmed warrant for FTA 3 and FTA Criminal trespass 2. A new court date and time was issued on both warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On 09/17/2020 at approximately 16:25 hours, Benton County Deputies were notified of a wanted subject at the Parole and Probation office. Deputies contacted Akram Rashid, 41, who was issued a citation in lieu of custody for an active warrant.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Thursday, September 10, 2020 at about 4:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 27300 block of Writsman Creek Drive for vehicle speeding and going onto Starker Forest property. The vehicle was located and the driver was warned for being on the property.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Friday, September 11, 2020 at about 9:30 am, Starker Forest reported there was a white pickup partially blocking one of their gates on Harris road. Due to the fire danger Starker has closed their land to the public. The driver of the pickup, Michael Snopkowski, 52, was cited for Criminal Trespass II.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On 09/11/2020 at approximately 19:16 hours, Benton County Sheriff`s Deputies observed Tiago Bernejo, 25, trespassing on posted private property. Bernejo was stopped by Deputies and subsequently arrested for Criminal Trespass II. Bernejo was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
DWS MIS - On Monday September 14, 2020 at about 12:45 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Main St. at 14th St. for a traffic violation. The driver, ROBIN R. GILLILAND, 50, was arrested for Driving While Revoked. GILLILAND was cited and released in the field.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Monday, September 14, 2020 at approximately 3:20 PM, deputies arrested Jacob Britton, 20, Makayla Cannon, 20, and Nicole Ellsworth- Rodgers, 31, for Criminal Trespass II for going into OSU School of Forestry property at the end of Oak Creek. All were cited and released in the field.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On September 15, 2020, at around 7:09 pm, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on the 23600 block of Knowlton Lane, Philomath. The residents told deputies a newer, white Penske-branded box truck drove up their driveway to their house, and then backed all the way down the driveway and drove away. The driver was described as a White male, mid-40s, with dark hair. Not able to locate.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On September 16, 2020 at about 4:45 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at the Benton County Fairgrounds at 110 SW 53rd St. They contacted a man in his vehicle hidden behind the RV`s. He was uncooperative and had no reason to be in the area. He was escorted out.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 16, 2020 around 9:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to the Parole and Probation lobby at 180 NW 5th St, Corvallis for a warrant service. Timothy Isaac Mross, 36, came to the office to turn himself in for the warrants he had. Deputies informed Timothy of his court date and cited him for his FTA warrants.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER FALSE INFO, FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER, FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at about 11:04 A.M., deputies stopped a black colored Honda with no license plates on Highway 20, near milepost 38. They arrested Steven Christopher Jackson, 46, for multiple warrants, providing false information and failing to register as a sex offender. Deputies transported Steven to the Benton County Jail where he was booked.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On September 9, 2020 around 9:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Hwy 20, and NE Granger Ave for a motor vehicle crash with unknown injuries. Driver 1 was in a Ford Explorer, upside down and trapped in her vehicle, and sustained serious injury. Driver 2 was in a Dodge Ram truck, and sustained no injuries. Driver 1 was transported to Good Sam and both vehicles were towed.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE - On September 9, 2020 around 12:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a man by phone, to assist another agency. The man stated he had been a victim of a burglary in Eugene, and had his backpack containing his Apple Watch, notebook, pad lock, mail key, and a white case with rubber on it for his Airpods were stolen from his residence. He stated he received a notification from Find My IPhone with the last known location of his watch on Adams Lane. An identical backpack was recovered from a vehicle there and deputies cited Vanessa Whitney Inman, 26, for Possession of Methamphetamine and Reckless Endangerment.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Saturday, September 12, 2020 at around 9:00 PM, deputies responded to the Monroe area to attempt to locate a motorcycle a resident on the 25100 block of Coon Rd was concerned might be trying to light fires. Deputies saw a motorcycle parked at a convenient store in Monroe and spoke with the owner. He said his motorcycle had some mechanical issues and had stopped in front of the residence on Coon Road. Deputies saw nothing on the man that would set fires. Deputies spoke with the resident and explained to him the rider was not trying to set fires, he was having mechanical issues with his motorcycle.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday September 15, 2020 at about 11:20 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 20 near milepost #35 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, JENNIFER MICHELLE HOLBERT, 37, had two outstanding Felony Warrants. Deputies arrested HOLBERT and transported her to the Benton County Jail where she was lodged.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On September 16, 2020 at about 4:45 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at the Benton County Fairgrounds at 110 SW 53rd St. Deputies contacted the man in his vehicle hidden behind the RV`s. ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ – Vehicle #1 was driving south on Highway 99 near milepost 92. The driver of vehicle #1 looked away from the roadway. Vehicle #1 drove off the west side of the highway and into the ditch. Vehicle #1 drove for over 100 feet with one tire on the pavement and 3 tires in the ditch, scraping the bottom of his vehicle. The driver declined medics.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, September 11, 2020, at about 1:30 pm, deputies spoke with Tonya Leone Hazelton, 51, at 234 N 14th Street in Philomath and later arrested her for a confirmed warrant for Failure to Appear out of Lincoln County Circuit Court, $15,000.00 bail. Deputies issued Hazelton a criminal citation and released her.
THEFT 2 DECEPTION - On Friday, September 11, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the Dollar General for a theft. The store manager told deputies two unknown males entered the store, gathered merchandise and went to the register. The males attempted to scam the store by tricking the cashier into giving them $500 Visa gift cards without paying for them.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) – On 9/10/2020 at approximately 6:58 pm, Benton County Sheriff`s Deputies responded to SE Winslow Ct. near SE Berg Dr. for a suspicious activity. Further investigation revealed three males entered a structure at a construction site. There was no apparent damage to the structure inside or out. The three males were gone before law enforcement arrival.
FAIL TO APPEAR ON ORDINANCE VIOLATION - On September 9, 2020 around 11:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to 180 NW 5th St, in the Parole and Probation Lobby, to speak with Felipe Leo Morfin, 32. Leo stated he had warrants for his arrest, and wanted to turn himself in. Deputies cited Felipe for Failing to Appear on an Ordinance Violation (ORS 133.070) for an open container misdemeanor. Deputies informed Felipe of his court date and asked him if he had any questions. Felipe stated he had no questions.
DUII - On Sunday, September 6, 2020, at 9:56 p.m., deputies responded to a report of an intoxicated driver on Hwy 99w near Conifer Blvd, Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and arrested Jeremey Johns, 44, for DUII.
ACCIDENT MARINE NO INJ - On 09/06/2020, at 2:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to an abandoned vessel call at Willamette River milepost 122. The reporting caller was the owner of the abandoned vessel. The abandoned vessel is a red Lifetime kayak that was abandoned because it had hit a tree at Willamette River milepost 121, filled with water, and folded in half around the tree. The kayak was left on scene at milepost 121, because we were unable to safely recover it.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 9/4/2020 at around 6:24 PM, Vehicle #1 was traveling east bound on 53rd Street near MP1. Vehicle #1 went off the south side of the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle impacted the ditch and caught fire. Fire department personnel arrived and put the fire out on the vehicle and the ditch area. The vehicle was a total loss and was towed.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 09/04/2020, at approximately 8:45 am, Benton County Sheriff`s Deputies responded to HWY 20 near milepost 40 for a non-injury crash. Subsequent investigation determined a 2017 Dodge Ram swerved to avoid a collision with wildlife. Ultimately the pickup drove off the roadway and crashed. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed due to extensive front-end damage.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 9/8/20, AT APPROXIMATELY 11:00 PM ANDRUS, TRACY LEE, 53, TURNED HERSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH ST, CORVALLIS FOR A WARRANT FOR FTS BURG I, NO BAIL. DEPUTIES CONFIRMED THE WARRANT WITH DISPATCH AND IT WAS SERVED ON ANDRUS.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at approximately 4:23 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of 4800 NW Highway 20 for report of a vehicle seen behind no trespassing signs on private property. The person reporting could not positively identify the vehicle or persons behind the no trespassing signs, but followed the suspected vehicle and another vehicle likely involved into Albany city limits prior to their arrival. Both vehicles were found to be stolen out of Albany and Corvallis and Albany Police Officers took multiple people into custody. There was no probable cause for charges of Trespass so no action was taken.
THEFT 3 - On Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at approximately 8:28 P.M., deputies were in the area of Highway 20, milepost 8, waiting for the owner of a recovered stolen vehicle to arrive and take possession of their vehicle. They had placed a department issued LED electronic road flare at the base of the gravel driveway to mark the driveway for the responding owner. Deputies observed a vehicle park near that area for a short time before quickly driving away. After driving down the driveway deputies found the electronic road flare to have been taken. Deputies stopped the driver of the vehicle, DANIEL CURTIS MULLINS, 50, a short distance later, who admitted to taking the electronic flare and also had an Albany Police municipal warrant for his arrest. Deputies arrested MULLINS for Theft III and the warrant and released him with citations for both.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 9/9/20, AT APPROXIMATELY 8:48 PM, BUTLER, JACOB MILEY, 39, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH ST, CORVALLIS FOR PAROLE VIOL-SEX OFFENSE WARRANT OUT OF OREGON STATE PAROLE BOARD (LINN CO).
THEFT 1 - On September 10, 2020, at 4:05 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 23500 block of Woods Creek Road in Philomath for a theft. Upon arrival they spoke with the resident who said on September 10, 2020, at about 4:30 AM, and unknown suspect entered the property. The suspect took 3 STHIL MS461 Chainsaws and 10 gallons of gasoline from the back of a pickup. The pickup was located behind the shop. She said she believed it was someone familiar with the property because the security camera was spray-painted first.
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER, WARRANT ARREST - On September 11, 2020, at 5:28 PM, deputies contacted Jimmie Barton, 47, after he exited a wooded area behind Kings Valley Charter School. Barton had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Sweet Home Municipal Court for FTA/ Theft III, No bail. Barton told deputies he has been living on the 23800 block of Maxfield Creek for a year. Barton was a registered sex offender and still registered to an address in Albany. Barton told deputies he told his Probation Officer he moved and thought that was all he had to do. Barton was cited into Benton County Circuit Court for failing to register as a sex offender.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On September 11, 2020, at 8:27, deputies were dispatched to SE Berg Drive and SE Weigel Street in Adair Village for a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival they contacted two individuals who ran out of gas and were sleeping there until a friend arrived with gas in the morning. The two were advised to move along as soon as the gas arrived.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 12, 2020, at 1:09 AM, deputies stopped Luke Harter, 20, and Meritt Hageman, 24, after they observed them trespassing at on the 3000 block of Bellfountain Road in Corvallis. Harter and Hageman were both cited for Criminal Trespass II at the request of the property owner.
BURGLARY 1 - On September 12, 2020 at about 11:30 am, deputies were dispatched to the 2600 block of NE Seavy Pl for a cold attempted Burglary. The resident explained about an hour prior, a teen aged white male carrying a skate board approached his residence. The subject pulled open two screen doors, which were locked. He believed the subject left after finding the main doors locked. Deputies looked around the area but did not locate anybody matching the description.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On September 12, 2020, at 5:55 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Fairgrounds for a suspicious person. A white male in his early to mid-30`s arrived at the Fairgrounds in a newer white Toyota Rav4. The male was wearing a baseball cap, BDU style pants and a shirt with patches on the shoulder. The male stated he was from the, "Militia," and asked one of the volunteers if he was needed. The male left and was last seen traveling eastbound on Reservoir Avenue towards SW 53rd Street. No crime occurred.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS W/ FIREMARM - On September 12, 2020, at 6:27 PM, deputies responded to Van Horn Road near milepost 3.5 in Alsea for a Trespassing/ Shooting Complaint. Upon arrival, deputies contacted two men on Bureau of Land Management property. The two were target shooting and had a safe backstop. They did not know the Bureau of Land Management property was closed to the public on September 11, 2020, for wildfires. They were given warnings.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, September 3, 2020 at approximately 7:45 PM, deputies contacted and arrested JACOB VEST, 32, for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant in the area of 3rd Street and Lilly Avenue in Corvallis. VEST was found to be in possession of a small amount of Methamphetamine and paraphernalia. VEST was issued criminal citations with court dates in lieu of custody for his warrant and the crime of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 VANDALISM, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Saturday, September 5, 2020 at about 9:30 am, deputies were patrolling Weyerhaeuser property from Ferguson Road to Hewitt Road. They located a vehicle blocking one of their closed gates. This area is closed for their special use permits. The driver was cited for Criminal Mischief III and Criminal Trespass II.
BURGLARY 2, UUV , THEFT 1 AGGRAVATED - On Monday, September 7, 2020, at 5:38 a.m., deputies responded to the 600 block of North Nebergall Loop NE, Albany, Benton County for a cold burglary complaint. $24,900.00 in items taken. No known suspects at this time. Occurred between 9:00 p.m. on 09/06/2020, and 5:00 a.m. on 09/07/2020.
PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE – On September 9, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., deputies transported a stray dog from the 30600 block of Bellfountain Road to the Heartland Humane Society where she was impounded. The dog was an adult, female, white Great Pyraneese dog. She was wearing a collar with no I.D tags.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday September 10, 2020 at about 1:05 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 20 near milepost #48 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, TRAVIS JAMES GRIFFEN, 51, had an outstanding Warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for F.T.A. - Driving While Revoked. Deputies issued GRIFFEN a citation in the field and he was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 10, 2020, deputies arrested RYAN DOUGLAS MERCKLING, 24, on a confirmed misdemeanor warrant out of Benton County after contacting him at his residence on the 23900 block of Jamestown Avenue in Monroe. He was cited and released in the field.
BURGLARY 1, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On September 9, 2020, at around 5:40pm, deputies responded to a reported burglary at a residence located on the 4000 block of NE Fair Acres Drive, Corvallis. The resident told deputies she had returned to her house at around 1:00 pm to find both her front and rear doors open. Starr said nothing appeared stolen, but a closet looked like it had been rifled through.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at approximately 8:25 am, while assisting with security at the Benton County Fairground, deputies arrested Eduardo De Sousa, 46, on an extraditable warrant out of California. De Sousa was transported to the Benton County Jail.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On September 9, 2020, at around 12:21am, deputies received a report of a suspicious vehicle and people with flashlights near the 7400 block of NE Pettibone Drive and NE Todd Drive. Deputies encountered a man getting out of a vehicle at the residence. He had a flashlight in his hand and told deputies he had been getting his mail from his mailbox located on NE Todd Drive. This matched the Reporting Party's description.
PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE – On September 8, 2020 1:30 p.m., deputies transported a stray dog from 24000 block of Hwy 34 to the Heartland Humane Society where she was impounded. The dog was an adult, female, black border collie mix.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On Monday, September 7, 2020, at about 8:05 P.M. deputies were dispatched to a suspicious person near the 200 block of Azalea. The caller described a juvenile male flicking a lighter and looking through recycle bins. The caller believed the male was going to light the recyclable items on fire. Deputies arrived and located the 13-year-old male. Deputies then explained to his mother the dangers of the child having a lighter during the dry season of the summer. She stated she would keep a close eye on her son. Deputies looked around the area and did not notice anything burned or damaged.
THEFT 3 - On 09/04/2020 at approximately 1:30 pm, a resident on Priest Road discovered his American Flag had been stolen. There is no suspect description and this is the second time an American flag has been damaged or stolen from his property.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On September 2, 2020 at around 12:58 p.m., deputies contacted Evan Prather ASHE, 40, who had a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court warrant for Animal Abuse II. He was issued a citation at the jails request.
DUII - On Sunday, August 9, 2020 at approximately 7:00 pm, deputies arrested Lori Chambers, 37, at Hwy 34 and Forrests Pl, Philomath for DUII. She refused to provide a breath sample.
BURGLARY 2, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On September 7, 2020 at about 2:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 1200 block of Scenic Dr NW for a report of a cold burglary. The resident reported his shop had been broken into, but wasn't able to identify any missing property.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT – On September 7, 2020, Sean Cerruti, 43, reported to the jail for Benton Circuit Court warrant FTA - Theft 1. The warrant was confirmed and Cerruti was issued a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, September 7, 2020 at about 1:25 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 34 near milepost #1 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, WILLIAM LEE MCDANIEL, 54, had an outstanding warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court. MCDANIEL was issued a citation and released in the field.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, September 7, 2020 at about 12:50 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 34 near milepost #1 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, ALICIA ANN RAMOS, 20, had an outstanding warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. RAMOS was issued a citation and cited and released in the field.
VEHICLE RECOVERED FOR OTHER AGENCY - On Sunday, September 6, 2020 at about 3:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Woods Creek Road at the Old Peak Road intersection (milepost 6) for a white trailer that was reported stolen out of Corvallis earlier in the day. They arrived and located a white colored trailer, which the owner retrieved.
DUII - On September 5, 2020 at about 11:30 p.m., deputies responded to a crash at Oak Grove Road near Metge Avenue and arrested Lester Harry Wiebe, 27, for DUII.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE ASSAULT - On Saturday, September 5, 2020, at 4:57 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 31900 block of Fern Rd, Philomath, for an assault. A female reported her landlord assaulted her. After speaking with both parties there was no evidence an assault occurred.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, September 5, 2020, at approximately 4:20 P.M., vehicle 1 was west on Southwest West Hills Road when a deer crossed the road, causing the vehicle to hit the deer, causing damage to the front driver’s side of the vehicle.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER PROP DAMAGE - On September 5, 2020 at about 11:20 am, deputies were dispatched to the 26400 block of Coon Rd for a cold hit and run. A resident reported someone traveling eastbound on Coon Rd missed the corner and drove through his fence and gate. Stone stated the crash occurred sometime before Wednesday. Stone had no suspect/vehicle information. The damages were estimated at $400. Deputies checked with dispatch and no vehicle crash was reported in the area in the last week.
SEARCH AND RESCUE NOT MISSING - On 09/04/2020, deputies were dispatched to a water assist at Crystal Lake boat ramp. When they arrived, a Corvallis police officer reported two people had overturned their kayak in the river and were pulled to safety by a bystander. They launched the patrol boat and recovered the overturned kayak. They then took the kayak to the boat ramp and returned it to the owner.
WARRANT ARREST - On 09/04/2020, at approximately 9:04 am, Benton County Deputies contacted Robert Dwayne Pollock, 46, near the intersection of Highway 20 and Lilly Hill Road. It was determined Pollock had an active warrant for his arrest. Pollock was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY - On September 4, 2020 at about 3:06 a.m., deputies were driving through the bypass at Highway 20 and Highway 34 outside of Corvallis in Linn County and happened upon a crash. A 2018 Ford F150 ran the red light at Highway 34 turning south and struck a 2016 Honda Civic. The driver of the Civic was transported to GSH for non-life threatening injuries.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Thursday, September 3, 2020 at about 1:10 P.M., deputies were dispatched to West Hills Rd and Reservoir Rd. for a disorderly conduct. Dispatch advised there was a male wearing jeans and an orange shirt walking into traffic. Upon arrival, deputies told a man to stay off the train tracks, CPI property and to stay off the road, or he would be arrested.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Thursday, September 3, 2020, at about 10:25 am, deputies were dispatched to the 8700 block of Box Elder Street in Adair Village for a report of vandalism. The homeowner stated an unknown person punctured the right rear tire of her 2019 Honda CRV with a wooden stake. The tire was flat. She had no who may be responsible.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at approximately 6:47 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Independence Highway and Springhill Drive for report of an injury crash. Vehicle 1 was west on Springhill Drive approaching the stop sign / intersection of Independence Highway. The driver said the sun was going down and due to the bright sun in his eyes, he did not see the stop sign approaching and went through the intersection into the side of the dirt ditch on the other side of the road. The vehicle, a gold 2004 Nissan Sentra, sustained major front-end damage and was towed from the scene. The passenger was transported by ambulance with unknown injuries.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On September 2, 2020, at around 4:54pm, deputies responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash on NE Hwy 20, near Milepost 4. Vehicle 1 was driving west on NE Hwy 20 in a Ford Escort when she stopped for stopped traffic. She was hit from behind by vehicle 2, also driving west in a Chevrolet S-10. The driver of vehicle 1 was driven to the hospital by a friend for unspecified head and back pain. The Escort was towed from the scene. The driver of vehicle 2 was cited for Following to Close.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, September 2, 2020, deputies contacted and arrested KATIE WAMSLEY, 24, near the Corvallis Sports Park at 175 SW Twin Oaks Circle. WAMSLEY had a significant amount of felony and misdemeanor warrants. WAMSLEY was issued citations with court dates in lieu of custody for her warrants at the request of the Benton and Linn County Jail. THEFT 1 - On August 31, 2020 at around 10:00 am, deputies were dispatched to the 24100 block of Old River Road near Monroe for a report of a theft. The resident reported someone stole his irrigation pump and motor he uses to irrigate his filbert orchard between 8/26 and 8/31. The irrigation pump was located near a utility pole along the roadway north of his home. No suspect information at this time. The pump and motor was valued near $4,000.
DUII - On Sunday, August 30, 2020, at about 9:50 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black BMW 330 CI for failure to maintain its lane. Deputies contacted the driver, James Robert Matheson, 40, and later arrested him for DUII. Deputies transported Matheson to the Philomath Police Department and issued Matheson a criminal citation for DUII as well as a traffic citation for failure to drive within its lane. Matheson was released at the scene.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2, RECKLESS DRIVING - On Saturday, August 29, 2020, at about 3:20 pm, deputies stopped a white 2012 Ford Focus after it attempted to elude them. They later arrested the driver, Oscar Herrera, 19, for Reckless Driving and Criminal Trespass 2. Herrera was issued criminal citations and released.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE - On August 31, 2020, at around 11:30pm, deputies approached a silver 1997 Toyota Camry that abruptly pulled to a stop on the side of the Tampico Road near the intersection of Highway 99W. Deputies observed a glass meth pipe on the floor of the vehicle and arrested the driver, identified as Mitchell Gordon Smith, 28. A search of Smith revealed five glass meth pipes and 1.474 grams (total package weight) of a white crystalline substance inside a jacket pocket. Smith was criminally cited for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, August 29, 2020, at about 9:05 P.M., deputies were dispatched to crash at Highway 99W near Elliott Circle Deputies arrived and observed a white Ford Freestyle with a broken driver side headlight and some fluid spilling from it. The driver told deputies he was going south on Highway 99W at approximately 50 miles per hour when a deer crossed in front of him and he struck it. He requested a tow due to the leaking fluid. The driver was not injured and the deer was deceased on the side of the road.
LIVESTOCK AT LARGE – On August 31, 2020 12:10 p.m., deputies gave a warning to a livestock owner residing on the 1200 block of NE Seavy Ave. The warning was for his sheep running at large onto a neighbor’s property and eating her garden and fruit.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE, UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE, FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD -On August 31, 2020 around 1:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a woman by phone for a reported theft. She stated she parked her car at Alsea Falls day use area, when someone broke into her car and stole her purse, wallet, IPhone X, Maui Jim sunglasses, and about $400.00 cash.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Monday, August 31, 2020, at 11:47 p.m., deputies responded to the 25200 block of SW Airport Ave, Philomath, for a trespass complaint. The caller reported his ex-girlfriend would not leave his property when asked. She was stopped in a vehicle and she did not report any crime, nor did the caller.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 1, 2020, at around 4:22pm, deputies responded to a report of a non-injury motor vehicle crash on Robison Road, Milepost 2. The spoke with the driver who said he backed his van into a ditch as he was turning around in a driveway. The van was completely off the roadway and laying on private property. The driver’s brother owned the property and planned on pulling the van out of the ditch when he returned.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On September 1, 2020, at around 11:00pm, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle and people at construction site located on the corner of NE Laurel Drive and NE William R Carr Avenue, Adair. A witness reported three individuals in a silver sedan drove by the construction site several times before stopping, getting out with a handcart, taking several wood 2x4`s, and leaving southbound on William R Carr Avenue. Deputies were unable to locate the suspicious vehicle in the area.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On September 2, 2020 at about 2:00 a.m., deputies saw a red car parked on the side of Weigel Drive near Ryals Avenue with a male in the back seat. They stopped and approached the car and a female appeared in the window. They said they both live in the area and were "hanging out". No crime.
IDENTITY THEFT - On August 21, 2020, at around 12:45 am, deputies spoke with a woman who wanted to report a possible identity theft situation. Deputies took a report and gave her a BCSO case number for her records.
IMPROPER USE OF 911, INITIATE FALSE REPORT - On August 25, 2020 at about 12:05 a.m., deputies responded to the 24700 block of Highway 20 for the third time that night because of 911 calls being made. Deputies arrested Edward Bryan Prechell, 59, for Improper Use of 911 (x4) and Initiating a False Report. He was lodged at Benton County Jail.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at about 11:35 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of SW 53rd Street for a group of males trespassing in the tree farm. Deputies searched through the tree farm and were unable to locate the group.
INFO-SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On August 29, 2020 at about 9:00 p.m., deputies were dispatched to North Albany Park for a truck on the grass inside the park. Upon their arrival, they passed a truck on Hillcrest Street that may or may not have been the one involved. The young male driver rolled down his window and deputies asked if he was in the park. He said he had turned around at the park entrance. Deputies advised him the park is closed and if he was driving on the grass to cease doing so.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Sunday, August 30, 2020 at about 11:00 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Mary’s Peak Rd near milepost 9 for a single vehicle crash. The driver lost control of his 2000 Yamaha YZFR6 while driving towards the top of the peak and crashed. Life Flight transported Contreras to Good Samaritan Hospital for his injuries.
FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT - On Monday, August 31, 2020, James Javon Cleveland, 42, was arrested on confirmed warrants out of the Municipal court in Albany Oregon, including: Criminal Trespass I, Criminal Trespass II, and Consume or Poss Alcohol in Public Place. Cleveland was issued a new court date and released.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On Monday, August 31, 2020, at about 8:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a suspicious person on the 21400 block of Highway 20. The caller reported a transient male was laying in front of the store. Deputies arrived and spoke with a man who said he was walking from San Diego to Newport and was trying to rest. Deputies offered him a bottle of water and a courtesy transport back to Philomath.
ELUDE VEHICLE - On Thursday, August 27, 2020, at about 2:40 pm, deputies attempted to stop a woman for speeding. She tried to avoid being stopped by turning east onto Lilly Hill Road and continuing for approximately 2 miles. She eventually stopped and was later cited for several traffic violations and educated about stopping for law enforcement in a timely fashion.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON AUGUST 28, 2020 AT APPROXIMATELY 5:45 pm, SIMMER, MICHAEL, 55, TURNED HIMSELF IN TO THE FRONT LOBBY AT THE JAIL FOR TWO BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT WARRANTS: POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE - MISDEMEANOR, POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE - FELONY, AND THFET 3. SIMMER WAS CITED AND RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1, FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On August 27, 2020, at 5:31 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 1400 block of SE Alexander Avenue in Corvallis for a Hit & Run. The caller said she observed a blue sport utility vehicle backed into a large mailbox bank, belonging to the United States Postal Service. The mailbox was ripped out of the ground and damaged from the impact. She said the driver was a male, but she was unable to provide any further details about the vehicle or driver.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON AUGUST 28, 2020 AT APPROXIMATELY 8:20 pm, WILSON, KYLER, 25, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE FRONT LOBBY OF THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL FOR CONFIMRED WARRANTS: BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT FOR POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE - FELONY, UNLAWFUL ENTRY INTO A MOTOR VEHICLE, AND CRIMINAL MISCHIEF III. HE WAS ISSUED A COURT DATE AND RELEASED.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON AUGUST 30, 2020, MCGOWAN, MATHEW, 25, WAS CITED AND RELEASED FOR A LANE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT WARRANT FOR CRIMINAL MISCHIEF I AND THREE ALBANY MUNICIPAL COURT WARRANTS FOR DISORDERLY CONDUCT II (X3). ALSO, A DALLAS MUNICIPAL COURT WARRANT WAS LOCATED FOR THEFT III. MCGOWAN WAS CITED AND RELEASED WITH NEW COURT DATES.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 8/29/2020, at around 7:15 PM, Vehicle #1 was traveling west bound on Dawson Road near Mile Post 2. Vehicle #1 stopped on the roadway to put on sunglasses due to the glare of the sun setting. Vehicle #2 was also traveling west bound behind Vehicle #1. Due to the glare of the sun setting, Vehicle #2 did not see vehicle #1 stopped in the roadway. Vehicle #2 ran into the back of Vehicle #1. The driver of vehicle 2 had a laceration under his lip, and had a hurt right ankle/foot.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On Saturday, August 29, 2020, at about 8:20 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 5100 block of Highway 99W for a suspicious person. They arrived and spoke with a resident who said a white sedan was parked in front of her neighbor’s trailer and it appeared as if the male occupant was working on his stereo. She said she attempted to speak with the male and he left shortly after. She believed this was suspicious because she did not know if he was trying to steal the vehicle. Deputies looked through the area and did not locate the vehicle. She provided deputies with a license plate and deputies attempted to contact the registered owner but were unsuccessful.
FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT - On 08/26/20 BUSCH, Cody Lee, 34, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail for a Lincoln Co Circuit warrant for FTA Disorderly conduct. Busch was cited and released with a new court date.
THEFT 1, UUV, UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE, IDENTITY THEFT, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER - On August 14, 2020 at around 4:47 p.m., deputies were was dispatched to the 8600 block of NW Peavy Arboretum Rd for a reported unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. Deputies later located and arrested Scott Raymond Butler, 26, at Fred Meyer’s in Corvallis, who had the stolen property from the UEMV.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at about 8:35 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a reckless driving complaint at the fairgrounds. Deputies arrived and observed a Blue truck driving with a large cloud of dust behind it. They spoke to the driver and she admitted to driving quickly through the parking lot. Deputies warned her regarding the reckless driving and she agreed to leave the area. Deputies did not observe any damage to the parking lot.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On August 3, 2020, deputies placed an abandoned vehicle sticker on a 1996 Buick parked on the north side of the fairgrounds. On Thursday, August 27, 2020, deputies had the abandoned vehicle towed.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On August 27, 2020 around 3:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of 49th St, and Nash Ave, Corvallis, for a reported suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was described as a Penske truck with a USPS sign on the driver`s side. Deputies located a truck matching the description, and spoke to a man who had just delivered a package. He stated UPS had rented the truck to deliver packages.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Thursday, August 27, 2020 at about 4:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 300 gate of Oregon State University School of Forestry for a subject blocked behind a closed gate. Deputies issued the subject a citation to Allen Savchenko, 49, for criminal trespass in the second degree then opened the gate and the subject drove out and off OSU property.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On Friday, August 28, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the 5500 block of SW Plymouth Drive for an abandoned vehicle. They arrived and spoke with a resident who said about a month ago, an unknown person left a 1995 Ford Thunderbird in his driveway blocking his garage. He said the person also left an engine in front of the vehicle. He said he was working with a tow company to have the vehicle removed but wanted to ensure the vehicle was not stolen.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, August 28, 2020 at approximately 4:50 P.M., deputies responded to Highway 99W and Elliott Circle for report of a non-injury crash where one driver was having issues obtaining insurance information from the other driver. Deputies found that vehicle 1 had been turning south onto Highway 99W from Elliott Circle in a 2008 black Volvo XC9, failed to yield the right of way to a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta and the two had a low speed crash. Vehicle 1 did not have valid insurance and was cited for Dangerous Left Turn and Driving Uninsured. Both vehicles were drivable and retained by the owners.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On August 17, 2020 around 11:20 AM, deputies were dispatched to a hit and run at the intersection of Granger Road, and Highway 99, in Corvallis. Deputies spoke with a witness, who stated she saw a log truck crash into a descending arm at the railroad crossing. The driver, Greg Gene Brooks, 58, stated he had hit the railroad crossing arm, and was not able to find a place to pull over, and did not have Bluetooth in his truck to call the police. On August 25, 2020, deputies issued Greg a criminal citation for Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at about 2:45 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on 4th St. near Western Blvd. for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, GREGORY LEE IRELAND, 50, had two outstanding warrants. IRELAND was issued citations on both warrants and cited and released in the field.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 8/25/20 AT APPROXIMATELY 6:43 PM, NISSEN, LEON, 54, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH STREET BECAUSE HE THOUGHT HE HAD A WARRANT. NISSEN HAD A CONFIRMED WARRANT FOR FTA DUII, NO BAIL. NISSEN WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at 12:24 a.m., deputies responded to the 7000 block of NW Mountain View Dr, Corvallis, for a car prowl that just occurred. The vehicle in question was not entered, and there was nothing taken. There is no suspect or vehicle description.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Monday, August 24, 2020, at about 10:10 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a criminal mischief on the 24900 block of Highway 20. Deputies arrived and spoke with a resident who stated his neighbor, Edward Prechel, 59, was highly intoxicated and pounded on a plastic window attached to his deck causing damage. Deputies contacted Prechel and arrested him from criminal mischief II and criminal trespass II. Deputies issued Prechel a criminal citation for the above mentioned crimes and released him at the scene.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On Monday, August 24, 2020, at about 9:40 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a reckless driving complaint on the 100 block of 53rd. The person reporting stated there was a group of approximately 15 cars doing "donuts" in the fairgrounds parking lot. Deputies arrived and spoke with a group of approximately 20 juveniles. One juvenile stated he peeled out in his truck accidently. Deputies did not notice any damage to the parking lot. The juveniles agreed to leave the area for the night after being warned on their behavior.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Monday, August 24, 2020 at about 5:40 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 23900 block of Echo Hills Road for a suspicious vehicle. Deputies spoke with a resident who reported a silver or gray Mazda 626 followed him back to his residence. He said the Mazda never went on to his property and it left after driving to the end of Echo Hills. He stated a white male adult in his 30`s was the driver, but he was unable to get a license plate. Deputies searched the area for the Mazda and were unable to locate it.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 24, 2020, Jameson Honeyman, 35, was being released from the custody of the Benton County Jail. Honeman had 2 different Linn County Circuit Court warrants. The first warrant was for FTA DUII and Reckless Driving and the second warrant was for Contempt Pun. Both warrants were confirmed with dispatch and served.
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER - On Monday, August 24, 2020 at about 3:30 P.M., deputies located Russell Gene, 46, parked in front of the 300 block of N 16th Place, Philomath. Deputies arrested Russell for failing to register as a sex offender. Russell was issued a citation and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, August 24, 2020, around 1:06 P.M., deputies responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 34 near milepost 35. Unit 1 was driving his 1930 Ford Model A pickup west on Highway 34. The driver said he was trying to change the music on his I-Pod and veered off the roadway. The Ford traveled down the north side of Highway 34. The Ford went down an embankment and rolled onto its top. Both the driver and his passenger were uninjured.
VEHICLE RECOVERED FOR OTHER AGENCY - On August 24, 2020 around 10:15AM, deputies were dispatched to the 24300 Block of SW Airport Road, Philomath, for an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was a gold, 2000 Ford F350 dually with a canopy. The vehicle was about ¼ mile down a dirt road, off Airport Road near milepost 7. The vehicle was reportedly stolen from a Salem resident.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 24, 2020 at about 11:00 am, deputies contacted Robert Steven Moore, 45, trespassing in the tree farm located at the northwest corner of 53rd and Western. Moore had the following six confirmed Corvallis Muni Court warrants for his arrest: FTA Open Container, FTA Trespass II, FTA Trespass II, FTA Tampering Property, FTA Open Container, and FTA Open Container. Deputies issued Moore a citation with a court date in lieu of arrest.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER PROP DAMAGE - On August 24, 2020 at about 6:30 a.m., deputies responded to a vehicle crash at 5th Street and Commercial Street in Monroe, Oregon. One driver walked away from the scene and hid in dense brush prior to our arrival. No one was injured and the only vehicle towed was the suspect vehicle, a blue 1994 Ford F150.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, August 23, 2020, around 10:30 A.M., deputies arrested Tyler Rexroad, 30, for a Lincoln County Parole Violation warrant at the Blodgett Store. He was issued a criminal citation and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 22, 2020, Betker, Michael, 55, reported to the jail for a warrant for FTA DUII, and PCS Meth. The warrant was confirmed with dispatch and then served.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 19, 2020 around 2:30 PM, deputies Jasen Franklin Roach, 39, at the Law Enforcement Center for confirmed warrants out of Linn County, Oregon. Jasen he was transported to the Linn County Jail where he was cited and released due to concerns with Covid-19.
POSS HEROIN, RECKLESS DRIVING, ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 19, 2020 around 11:30 AM, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 20 and Circle Blvd for a non-injury vehicle crash. Kyle Thomas Bronleewe, 31, stated he was taking a medication, which made him sleepy when he crashed into another vehicle. Both vehicles were drivable, and out of the roadway.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER INJURY - On August 12, 2020 around 10:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to Good Samaritan Hospital, for a reported hit and run. The driver was on his motorcycle traveling southbound on Corvallis Road. He stated a, "white box truck," was waiting to turn west onto Suver Road, when the left side of his bike "scraped" down the driver side of the white truck. He stated he did not get a good look at the truck. He had scraped on his right foot and needed medical attention.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Sunday, August 23, 2020, at about 4:10 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of 53rd street for a possible trespass in the tree farm. The person reporting advised it appeared some transients were attempting to "move in" to the tree farm. They arrived and drove through the area and did not observe anyone.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING, DUII - On Saturday, August 22, 2020, at 7:10 p.m., deputies were notified of a disturbance occurring in a vehicle eastbound on Hwy 20, coming from Hwy 101 in Newport, Oregon. Deputies located the black 2007 Mazda CX9 on Hwy 20 near MP 39 and conducted a traffic stop. The disturbance was verbal only and the driver was arrested for DUII.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, August 22, 2020 at about 11:00 A.M., deputies responded to a crash on Highway 34 near Grange Hall Rd. A motorcycle crashed his 2004 Kawasaki into the side of a 2001 motor home and cited for following too closely. There was moderate damage to both vehicles.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On August 22, 2020 at about 11:05 pm, deputies were dispatched to HWY 99W and Lewisburg for a non-injury traffic crash. Unit 1 was eastbound on Lewisburg, stopped at the red light and was three cars back from the intersection. Unit 2 backed into Unit 1 while leaving a parking stall on the south side of a gas station.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, August 20, 2020, at approximately 9:50 P.M., vehicle 1 was northbound on Highway 99W near Dawson Road when it began to turn west onto Dawson Road. Vehicle 2 was southbound on Highway 99W when vehicle 1 turned in front of vehicle 2. Vehicle 2 struck the rear passenger-side of vehicle 1. Both vehicles were driven away from the scene.
ACCIDENT MARINE NO INJ - On 08/15/2020 at 1740, marine deputies were dispatched to a water assist at Truax Island on the Willamette River. There was a group of four adults that were on inflatable tubes that were tied together and got their inflatable tubes stuck on a tree in the water at Truax Island. They were forced into the water upon contact with the tree and were unable to safely retrieve their inflatable tubes. All 4 victims were transported by boat to Michael`s Landing. Deputies returned to the tree at Truax Island in an attempt to recover their property. The recovered property was immediately returned to the four victims that were waiting.
FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD - On August 15, 2020, deputies spoke with a resident on the 1400 block of NW Skipanon Dr., Corvallis, by telephone, who reported multiple charges to his debit checking account made overseas for a total of $1564.67. His account is from a Credit Union in Oceanside CA. Six charges were made on his card to German currency in Berlin. He had no idea how his card was compromised.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, August 24, 2020 at about 8:40 PM, deputies stopped a car on Highway 99W near Kiger Island Drive for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, RODNEY EARL SAVAGE, 49, had an outstanding Benton County Circuit Court Felony Warrant for F.T.A.- P.C.S. II. SAVAGE was issued a citation and released in the field.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, August 2, 2020 at about 11:55 PM, deputies contacted a male on Ayers Lane near Highway 99E. Dispatch advised the male, CHRISTOPHER GERARD COULTAS, 38, had two outstanding Linn County Circuit Court Warrants. COULTAS was issued citations for both of his warrants, then cited and released.
INFO-SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On August 23, 2020 at about 11:00 p.m., dispatch advised they received two reports of a gunshot heard in the area of the illegal homeless camps in the tree farm at SW 53rd St and SW West Hills Road. Deputies contacted people in the area who heard the sound, but no other sounds of distress coming from somewhere inside the Tree Farm. Deputies stayed in the area and did not see or hear anything for an extended period of time.
DWS MIS - On Sunday, August 23, 2020, at approximately 7:45 P.M., deputies stopped Hector Moises Nunez, 37, on Highway 20 near milepost 47, after observing him driving at a high rate of speed. Hector`s driving status was suspended misdemeanor. Deputies cited and released Hector for DWS-Misdemeanor and Violation of the Basic Rule, 84 in a 55 MPH zone.
DWS MIS - On Saturday, August 22, 2020, at about 11:00 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop on a green Ford Escort for a defective taillight. Randy Scott Ross, 31, was issued a criminal citation for the above mentioned crime and released from the scene.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Friday, August 21, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the 4400 block of SW Airport Avenue for a criminal mischief report. They arrived and spoke with the owner. He said around 11:30PM on the 20th, he heard what he thought was a car backfire. That morning, he saw his mailbox was slightly damaged and saw something had exploded inside it. The mailbox had burnt residue inside and smelled like spent fireworks.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On August 21, 2020 at about 6:30 a.m., deputies noticed a vehicle parked on the side of Highway 34 near MP 4. A DMV check of the license plates zip-tied to the vehicle did not match the VIN number on the Chevrolet Chevette. The vehicle, by VIN, was registered out of Hillsboro. Deputies were unable to contact the registered owner on file. They seized the license plates from the vehicle as they were a violation of ORS 803.560 at minimum and could not confirm if they were stolen.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, August 20, 2020, at approximately 9:50 P.M., vehicle 1 was northbound on Highway 99W near Dawson Road when it began to turn west onto Dawson Road. Vehicle 2 was southbound on Highway 99W when vehicle 1 turned in front of vehicle 2. Vehicle 2 struck the rear passenger side of vehicle 1. Both vehicles were driven away from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, August 20, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Parole and Probation Office for a warrant service. SARAH MARGARET DAVIS, 26, had a confirmed misdemeanor warrant out of the Albany Municipal Court for Theft II. Deputies issued DAVIS a citation with a court date and time to appear.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the 6900 block of NW Highway 20 for a suspicious person. They arrived and spoke with a woman who said an unknown man showed up on the property and used water from the hose and ate blackberries. Deputies located the male a short distance away. The male identified himself and said he was walking from Albany to Newport and used the hose for some water. They wanted him to move along.
ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY - On August 18, 2020 at about 8:55 p.m., deputies responded to a crash blocking the intersection at NW 2nd Street and NW Van Buren Avenue. One driver was cited for No Valid Operators License. The other was cited for Failure to Obey a One-Way Designation. Both cars were towed.
IMPROPER USE OF 911 - On August 18, 2020 at about 2:00 a.m., deputies responded to the 23900 block of Highway 34 for a continuing issue with a female calling 9-1-1. They convinced the female to go to sleep and gave her keys and phone to a nearby family member.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, August 17, 2020, around 11:30 A.M., deputies responded to NE Highway 20 near milepost 4 for a non-injury traffic crash. Vehicle #1 was following Vehicle #2. Vehicle #2 slowed for a turning truck. Vehicle #1 did not slow and crashed into the back of Vehicle #2. No one was injured. Vehicle #1 was towed.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Sunday, August 16, 2020, at approximately 6:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of 6500 Springhill Drive for a suspicious person. They arrived and spoke with a resident who said a large, white male, that was bald with a beard, walked down a gravel road to the north of his property and argued with someone in a car before walking back down the road toward the river. He did not know if the male was trespassing. Deputies drove down the road and walked through parts of the area, later locating multiple tents near a marijuana or hemp grow. They did not locate anyone nearby.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, August 17, around 7:39 A.M., deputies were on scene of a traffic crash on Highway 20 near milepost 36 when they were told by Blodgett Fire there had been another crash around the corner to the west of their location. Deputies arrived and found Vehicle #2 was slowing for Blodgett Fire personnel who were setting up signs for the previous crash. Vehicle #1 did not react in time and crashed into the back of Vehicle #2. No one was injured and both told deputies they did not want to be seen by medics. Vehicle #1 was towed to Newport. Vehicle #2 drove from the scene.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, FAIL TO APPEAR ON CRIMINAL CITATION - On August 13, 2020 at about 2:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of 28900 Coffin Butte Rd for a suspicious vehicle. Deputies spoke with Anacelia Rodriguez, 21, and arrested her for an outstanding warrant and possession of methamphetamine.
SEARCH AND RESCUE, NOT MISSING - On 8/13/2020 at 10:20 am, deputies were dispatched to a water assist at River Mile 153. The reporting party had camped at RM 153 overnight and on the morning of 8/13, realized the paddle to her kayak was missing. Deputies arrived on scene from McCartney boat ramp at 11:15 am. The caller was with two other females, whom each had their own kayaks. The female and her kayak were transported by deputies to the Peoria boat ramp, which is where her two friends were kayaking to and were going to meet her. The missing paddle was recovered during transport about 1000 feet from RM 153. Deputies were able to get the boat about 300 feet from the Peoria boat ramp. From there she was able to get in her kayak and paddle herself to the boat ramp. The call and scene were cleared at 12:05 pm.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On August 12, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the 24700 block of Highway 20 to a report of a male running into traffic. The caller stated a male he had never met before was running into traffic onto Highway 20 to try to stop his truck. He stated the male was yelling at him and trying to hit his car to get him to stop. He described the male as older, wearing shorts and a white t-shirt with long hair. Deputies spoke with a male in the area - who fit the description - and stated he was trying to stop the driver to ask him what he said to his neighbor that made him upset. Deputies told him not to go into the road anymore because it is unsafe.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2, ANIMAL ABUSE 2 - On July 18, 2020 at about 5:00 p.m., deputies responded to the 200 block of NW 53rd St for a report of a man harming his dog. Deputies spoke to multiple residents who said me Carl Dwayne Claphan, 58, had a Saint Bernard who gets loose. Carl found him in the park and started yelling, hitting him with the end of a heavy leash and pulling the leash in what appeared an attempt to strangle the dog. Carl engaged in this violent behavior in front of multiple children and residents, causing arguments and people to be afraid. Deputies arrested Claphan for Animal Abuse II and Disorderly Conduct. He was cited and released.
FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD, THEFT 1 - On August 11, 2020 around 11:33 AM, deputies were dispatched to a fraud, by phone. They spoke to a woman by phone, who stated her Home Depot account had, "been hacked" and had credit card information on file. She stated the hacker attempted to order $7,000 worth of tools and supplies from Home Depot, but her Chase credit card declined the transaction. She stated she added extra security measures.
DWS MIS, FALSE INFO TO POLICE - On Thursday, August 13, 2020 at about 2:20 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 20 near Highway 223 for a traffic violation. The driver, CRAVSON NAORA, 33, gave deputies False Information and was arrested for Driving While Suspended and Giving False Information to a Peace Officer. NAORA was cited and released in the field.
PERMITTING A DOG TO RUN AT LARGE – On August 14, 2020, deputies gave a warning to a dog owner living on the 600 block of N 9th Street in Monroe. The warning was for her dog running at large onto a neighbor`s property.
STRANGULATION – FEL, ASSAULT 4 MIS - On August 15, 2020 at about 1 pm, deputies were dispatched to contact a woman about an assault that occurred on the 24400 block of Starr Creek Rd the previous evening. She reported Dana Andrew Barnes, 42, assaulted and strangled her the previous evening. Deputies arrested Barnes on August 16 at about 2:15 pm and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
DWS MIS - On Sunday, August 16, 2020, at about 8:10 P.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop at highway 34 near milepost 1. They contacted the driver, Perry Leroy White, 56, and learned he was driving while suspended misdemeanor. They issued White a criminal citation for the above mentioned crime and explained the court date and time to him before releasing him at the scene.
DWS MIS - On Monday, August 17, 2020, at 3:46 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on College St near N 20th St, Philomath. Troy Kalama, 33, was issued a citation for DWS-Misdemeanor.
WARRANT ARREST - On 08/17/20, at approximately 6:49pm, Armando Lozano, 28, turned himself into the lobby of the Benton County Jail. A warrant was found for Philomath Municipal Court, FTA DUII. The warrant was served and Lozano was given a new court date.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the Jackson Frazier Wetlands for a criminal mischief. They arrived and spoke with Benton County Public Works employee, who reported sometime between 4:00PM on 08/17/2020 and 11:00AM on 08/18/2020, an unknown person broke the window of a John Deere Tractor owned by the State of Oregon that is on loan to Benton County. The replacement cost is around $700.
ASSAULT 4, DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2, HARASSMENT PHONE - On August 18, 2020 at about 10:15 p.m., deputies responded to the 500 block of NW Harrison Blvd for a reported fight in progress. Deputies arrested Nichole Cherie Wardrop, 37, for Assault IV, Harassment (x3) and Disorderly Conduct II. She was booked at Benton County Jail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On August 18th, 2020, a driver crashed his Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle on Pettibone Drive at milepost 1, injuring his knee. The motorcycle was damaged and towed.
IDENTITY THEFT - On August 13, 2020 at about 12:00 PM, deputies contacted a resident on the 25200 block of Rainbow Creek Rd over the phone regarding the fraudulent use of her daughter`s identity. She said her daughter attempted to create a cell phone account only to learn that the account social security number for her was already being used. Deputies gave her resources to contact the Federal Trade Commission to take steps toward the recovery of her daughter’s identity.
WARRANT ARREST – On August 13, 2020, Brenda Wyatt, 44, turned herself into the lobby of the Benton County Jail on a suspected warrant. Warrant info: Possession of Meth cite and release warrant. Wyatt was issued a new court date and released from custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 14, 2020 at approximately 1000, MCDONALD, Michael, 63, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail and indicated he had an outstanding warrant. A valid Lincoln Co. Circuit Court warrant was confirmed and he was released with a new court date. Warrant Info: FTA – DUII, Bail: $15,000.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON AUGUST 14, 2020 AT APPROXIMATELY 1745, DEPUTIES RAN HARRIS, NICHOLAS, 30, FOR WARRANTS PRIOR TO RELEASING HIM FROM THE CUSTODY OF THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL. A WARRANT WAS LOCATED FOR FELON POSSESSION OF RESTRICTED WEAPON, BOND 00-00. HARRIS WAS CITED AND RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE.

ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On August 17, 2020 at about 6:34 am, deputies I were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover injury crash on HWY 20 near MP 36. Vehicle 1 was westbound on HWY 20 when his vehicle entered the north ditch. The driver attempted to drive back up onto the HWY, but the vehicle crossed the centerline and entered the south ditch. The vehicle stuck an embankment, flipping onto its roof. The driver and the passenger were injured in the crash. When asked what happened, the driver stated he looked out the window then suddenly found himself in the ditch.

WARRANT ARREST - On Monday August 17, 2020, at about 10:45 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Territorial Highway near milepost #4 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, DARREN GENE BOGGS, 55, had an outstanding Felony State Parole Board Warrant. Deputies arrested BOGGS and transported him to the Lane County Jail where he was lodged.
