Listed below are recent incidents responded to by the Benton County Sheriff's Office. This report does not reflect all Sheriff's Office activities and is updated as time and personnel allows.

FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER PROP DAMAGE - On July 22, 2020 around 2:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a woman by phone. She stated another car "bumped" into her car while she was stopped at a stop sign waiting to turn left onto Highway 20 from Highway 223. She was able to get a picture of the suspect’s driver license, but he did not have insurance information with him. She just wanted the incident to be documented.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - Shayanna Jolley, 24, turned herself in at the Benton County Jail. She had a confirmed warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for FTA DUII, Reckless driving, reckless endangering, fail to perform duties of a driver. She was issued a new court date.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at about 2:50 pm, deputies were patrolling the South Fork wooded area. They contacted two males trespassing on private property. Anthony Scott Davis, 48, was cited for a warrant out of Benton County. Both males were warned for trespassing and told to leave the area.
PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT - Michael Jay Baker, 32, turned himself into the BC Jail knowing he had a warrant. Oregon State Parole Board warrant was confirmed and he was booked into BCJ.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, July 30, 2020, deputies located a silver Ford 500 at Hyak Park. The registered owner, Peggy Lynn Gibson, 47, was with the vehicle and had a confirmed Sweet Home Municipal Court Warrant for Contempt of Court. Deputies issued Gibson a citation with a court date and time to appear.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - Michael Jay Baker, 32, was transported into BC Jail from Marion County. Upon arrival at BCJ, he had active Philomath Muni warrant. He was issued a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, July 30, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of NW Mountain View Drive for a wanted subject. Deputies arrived and spoke with Waco Brian Richard Jimenez, 42, who had two confirmed warrants for his arrest. Deputies issued Waco a citation for the Albany Municipal Court warrant and transported him to the Linn County Jail where he was booked and lodged for a Parole Violation Warrant.
THEFT 1 - On Thursday, July 30, 2020, deputies were dispatched to contact a resident concerning a theft of $1000. He said a suspect named from Lancing Michigan accessed his bank account through an online trading website. He said he is in contact with his bank and the trading website to dispute the charges to his account.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 31st, 2020, deputies arrested CHAD WENDELL NICKLE, 31, on a confirmed Benton County warrant for Failure to appear on an original charge of Unlawful possession of Methamphetamine after a traffic stop on 35th Street near Philomath Boulevard.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, July 31, 2020, at about 11:10 A.M., deputies contacted Zachary Natsechin Pierce, 48, on 1st Street near Adams Street. Pierce had seven cite and release failure to appear warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court. Deputies issued Pierce a criminal citation and he was released at the scene.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE - On Friday, July 31, 2020 at about 12:56 pm, deputies were dispatched to contact a man regarding the report of theft from his vehicle while at Hyak Park. He was unable to provide any suspect information.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, July 31, 2020 at around 6:41 PM, deputies contacted and arrested JAMES NUNN, 34, in the area of SW Pleasant Place and SW Twin Oaks Circle in Corvallis for multiple felony warrants. NUNN was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked on his warrants. WARRANT info: Benton County Circuit Court, FTA Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, no bail; and Benton County Circuit Court, FTA Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, No Bail / No Matrix.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On Friday, July 24, 2020, deputies were dispatched to contact residents concerning a theft from their vehicle. A man reported said they left the vehicle at the Oregon Department of Fish and wildlife on NE Vandenberg Avenue at about 2:00 PM. He said when they returned about 15 minutes later, an unknown suspect broke the rear passenger window and stole a purse, which contained house keys and a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. They contacted their insurance and rekeyed their home.
UUV - On July 26, 2020 at 12:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to Alpine Road and Williams Road, for a report of a stolen boat. The owner reported the boat is a 1982, fourteen to sixteen foot long Klamath Lake, with a "9.9 motor" attached to it, as well as a trailer with green astro turf on it. The trailer was later found on the side of Cherry Creek Road.
UUV - On July 27, 2020 around 7:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to Highway 501, milepost 9, to a report of an abandoned vehicle in the roadway. The vehicle was a black 2005 Chevy Tahoe and was parked in the right southbound lane. The registered owner came to pick up the vehicle and stated his son had taken the vehicle the night before. The vehicle was out of gas and he didn`t need further assistance.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING - On July 27, 2020, at around 5:42 pm, deputies received a report over the phone from a resident who was concerned his neighbors were target shooting in their yard in an unsafe manner, that they did not have an adequate backstop. The neighbors agreed to improve their existing backstop to mitigate his concerns.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On July 29, 2020 around 10:40 AM, deputies were dispatched to a reported trespass on the 1400 block of SW Allen Street, Corvallis. The resident stated a male, wearing a long dark coat and turban, "ran" down his driveway towards the river. Deputies stopped a male matching the description in Avery Park, running towards SW Allen Street. Owen Allen, 24, stated he had gone onto the property to find his lost rat. Deputies cited Owen for Trespass in the second degree and released him.
SEARCH AND RESCUE NOT MISSING – On July 18, 2020 at 6:11 pm, deputies received a call from dispatch that four individuals were stranded on the shore at Buckskin Mary Landing. They had become stranded due to two of their inflatable rafts connecting with a tree in the river at Buckskin Mary Landing, which punctured those rafts causing them to deflate. Two were taken to Irish Bend by marine deputies to retrieve a vehicle to pick up the other 2. There were no injuries to any parties involved.
BURGLARY 1, THEFT 1 - On July 20, 2020 around 12:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a woman by phone. She stated her engagement ring was stolen from her house on July 9th, 2020 on the 4000 block of NW Oak Drive Albany. She stated the last time she saw her ring was July 9th, 2020 in a bathroom drawer. The ring is valued at $8395.00 and she will be filing an insurance claim.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Thursday, July 23, 2020, at about 5:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to a traffic crash on West Hills Road, near Rosecrest Drive, north of Philomath. They arrived to find Car 1 had been rear ended by Car 2 (motorcycle). Car 1 was stopped waiting for traffic in front to turn left, so Car 1 could continue east. Rider of Car 2 was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital and Car 2 was towed from the scene.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Thursday, July 23, 2020, at about 7:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle that was park the wrong way on NE Azalea Drive, in Adair. Deputies contacted the driver and his passenger near the intersection of William R Carr Avenue and NE Arnold Avenue. The driver had a suspended driving status and was issue traffic citations for Driving While Suspended- Violation and Illegal Parking. The car was moved into a proper parking area by a licensed driver.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Friday, July 24, 2020, at about 9:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a criminal mischief at the intersection of Irish Bend Road and Old River Road. They arrived and spoke with a man who reported sometime throughout the night a Professional Underground Services Excavator was damaged. He is an employee and reporting the damage on behalf of the company. He told deputies the damage would cost approximately $500.00 to fix and he did not have any suspect information.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 VANDALISM - On Friday, July 24, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the 28100 block of Irish Bend Road for a criminal mischief complaint. They arrived and spoke with a resident who said an unknown person chopped down 290 filbert starts valued at $8 each. Crocker said the criminal act occurred sometime between the evening of the 23rd and the morning of the 24th. He had no suspect information.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Friday, July 24, 2020, at about 11:45 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a crash on Independence Highway near Ryals Avenue. They arrived and learned vehicle 1, a Silver Dodge 1500, was traveling north on Independence Highway near Ryals Avenue. Vehicle 1 attempted to turn west onto Ryals, but did not leave enough room to turn safely. Vehicle 2, Audi A3, was traveling south on Independence Highway when vehicle 1 turned in front of her. Vehicle 2 struck vehicle 1 in the passenger side rear quarter panel, causing extensive front-end damage to her vehicle. The Dodge appeared to have a broken rear axle. Both vehicles came to rest in the intersection of Independence Highway and Ryals Avenue. Both vehicles were towed due to the damage.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, July 24, 2020, at about 1:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near milepost 36 for a report of a single vehicle crash. Deputies arrived and observed a blue 2013 Toyota Highlander crashed on its side on the south side of Highway 20. Deputies spoke with the driver, who stated he fell asleep while driving and crashed off the side of the road.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, July 24, 2020 at about 5:00 P.M., Vehicle #1 was driving east on highway 20 near McCullough road. Vehicle #2 was in front of vehicle #1 and began slowing down for traffic. Vehicle #1 noticed the vehicle slowing and applied the brakes. Vehicle #1 collided with rear vehicle #2 then drove off the south side of the highway into a ditch. Both vehicles were drivable. No one reported any injuries.
DOG BITE - On Saturday, July 25, 2020, at about 9:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to a dog bite on the 26000 block of Shady Oak Drive, near Monroe. They spoke to a mother about her daughter being bit by a dog. The dog in question was located on the 25000 block of Orchard Tract Road and was placed in quarantine at the residence to await follow up.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On July 26, 2020 around 11:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 1400 block of SW Allen Street for a reported trespass. They stated a male in their late twenties wearing a brown t-shirt and blue jeans, with brown hair was trying to fill water jugs at their pump house, next to their residence. They stated they had disconnected the water to the pump house earlier in the week. A little while later the male ran back through their driveway with two full jugs of water.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Monday, July 27, 2020 at about 8:30 A.M., deputies spoke with a resident by telephone. She said she had recently received a piece of mail from T-Mobile stating she owed them $1,500. She told deputies the bill stated the account included iPhone 11’s. She said she does not have T-Mobile and never opened an account. She then stated the accounts were opened somewhere in Washington, but did not know the exact location. This is the second time in three weeks someone had opened a cellular phone account in her name.
BURGLARY 2 BUSINESS, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On July 27, 2020 around 11:45 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 1600 block of NE Conifer Boulevard, Corvallis at The Harvest Christian Center for a reported Burglary. The suspected burglary occurred the week before on July 20, 2020 or July 21, 2020. Deputies contacted the reporter by phone, who stated that nothing was taken from the church, but there were burnt candles, and cooked food in the kitchen. He stated he doesn`t know who could have been in the building. There were no signs of forced entry.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On July 27, 2020, at around 6:52 pm, deputies responded to a burglary on the 25300 block of Green Peak Rd, Monroe. Deputies met with a homeowner who told deputies he returned to his house at around 5:30 pm and found the front door open. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing was stolen.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On July 28, 2020 around 8:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to a reported disorderly conduct on the 100 block of NE Crane Lane, Corvallis. A man stated another was yelling and trespassing on his property. The other was at his campsite when deputies arrived and was yelling "get off my &*%$ing property" at a tent next to him. The man stated he had not gone onto the other’s property, and there were no other people at his campsite.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 7/28/2020, at around 1:30 PM, Vehicle #2 was traveling westbound on NE Highway 20 approaching 4455 NE Highway 20. Vehicle #1 was also traveling westbound on Highway 20 directly behind vehicle #2. Vehicle #2 slowed to around 5 MPH to make a left hand turn into 4455 NE Highway 20, she was slowed to almost a stop waiting for traffic to clear so she could turn. Vehicle #1 failed to notice vehicle #2 had slowed to turn and ran into the back of Vehicle #2.
FELON IN POSS OF RESTRICTED WEAPON, FIREWORKS OFFENSE: EXPLOSIVE DEVICE, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, WARRANT ARREST, POSS/MANUF/DEL CONT`L SUB SCH 1, POSS/MANUF/DEL CONT`L SUB SCH 3, POSS HEROIN - On Friday, July 17, 2020, at around 8:30 PM, deputies saw WILLIAM JOHNSON, 27, on 2nd Street in Corvallis. JOHNSON had a felony warrant for his arrest and attempted to flee on a bicycle when a marked unit tried to stop him. Deputies took JOHNSON into custody after he crashed his bicycle into a parked car and stumbled into the front yard of a residence near 7th Street and Jefferson Avenue. JOHNSON was booked and lodged at the Benton County Jail on his warrant. JOHNSON was also charged with the above crimes. WARRANT info: Lincoln County Circuit Court, FTA Dangerous Drugs / FTA Unlawful Delivery of Heroin / FTA Unlawful Manufacture of Heroin / FTA Giving False Info to Police / FTA Possession of a Stolen Vehicle / FTA Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle / FTA Unlawful Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance / FTA Unlawful Possession of Heroin / FTA Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine / FTA Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine / FTA Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine; $500,000 Bail.
RESISTING ARREST, CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE, INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER - On Saturday, July 18, 2020 at approximately 10:20 pm, deputies arrested Kyler Wilson, 25, for failure to carry or present an operator’s license, interfering with a peace officer and resisting arrest. Deputies transported him to the Benton County Courthouse and cited and released him.
STRANGULATION, ASSAULT 4 - On July 21, 2020, around 11:15 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 28500 block of Lakeside Drive in Corvallis and spoke to a subject who stated his landlord strangled him. Joseph stated that his landlord, Arcie Duane Wren, 60, came to his residence to evict him, and that Duane put his arm around Joseph’s neck. Duane admitted to putting his arm around Joseph’s neck, and with video of the altercation, deputies arrested Duane for Strangulation and Assault in the Fourth Degree.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On July 22, 2020, around 9:15 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 6800 block of SW West Hills Road in response to a male trying to bathe in a port-a-potty on the premises and refusing to leave. The male left the area before deputies arrived. The male was described as a white, 30's male, driving a 1980's four-door Honda.
FUGITIVE OUT OF STATE - On July 22, 2020, at around 9:57 pm, deputies observed a blue Dodge Caravan parked along the roadway near the intersection of NW Ryals Ave and NE Arnold Ave, Corvallis. James Watson, 25, was standing behind the Caravan looking at stars. Deputies later discovered Watson had an out-of-state warrant for Assault-2nd degree. Watson was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail.
ACCIDENT NO INJ - On July 22, 2020, at about 11:00 pm, Unit #1 was traveling northbound on Pacific Boulevard near 30th Ave SE in Albany. Unit #1 was making a right turn onto 30th Street. Unit #1 sideswiped a power pole causing damage to the pole.
POSS HEROIN, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE - On Friday, July 24, 2020, deputies arrested Ryan Bourgond, 32, for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and heroin. They also issued him a citation for not wearing his seatbelt after deputies contacted him in the passenger seat of a vehicle stopped by the Corvallis Police Department.
THEFT 1 - On Friday, July 24, 2020, deputies were dispatched to contact a man concerning a theft. Deputies spoke with BJ by phone who said a Honda EU2000i generator was stolen from a construction site on Bellfountain Road between 11:00PM and 6:30AM. Haley said the generator belongs to Benton County and the serial number is unknown. The replacement value of the generator at $1049. There are no suspects and he requested extra patrol at the construction site after hours.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, July 24, 2020, at about 9:30 A.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop at Highway 99W and Old River Road. Deputies identified the passenger as Caleb Ray Olsen, 22. Dispatch informed Olsen had a confirmed failure to appear warrant out of Junction City Municipal Court. Olsen was arrested and issued a criminal citation for the warrant and released him at the scene.
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE, UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2, THEFT 2 - On Friday, July 24, 2020, at about 3:10 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a theft from a vehicle at 2600 Sulphur Springs Road. They arrived and observed two vehicles with broken back windows. The first vehicle, a white Chevy Silverado, had a broken rear passenger window. The owner advised she was missing a purse containing a wallet with $35.00, a checkbook, and debit cards. The second car, a red Mazda SUV, had a broken rear driver-side window. The owner stated she was missing a purse containing a wallet with $300.00 and her ID. Neither victim had any suspect information. Deputies advised them both to cancel debit or credit cards to prevent fraudulent charges.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Friday, July 17, 2020, at about 3:24 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 24700 block of Hwy 20 for a male and female trespassing. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the caller. She said two people had been evicted through the Benton County Courts over a year ago. Both continue to show up on the property. The couple left before the deputies’ arrival.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at about 2:00 P.M., deputies observed Jason Feld, 47, ride past them on a bike near NW 9th St/NW Buchanan Ave. Feld had three warrants for his arrest: FTA Unlawful Use of Weapon, FTA Felon in Possession of Restricted Weapon, and FTA Criminal Trespass II. Feld was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 23, 2020, at 3:07 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on NW 9th Street near NW Buchanan Avenue in Corvallis for no license plate. The front seat passenger, Gary Duane Barnes Jr, 49, had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Lane County Circuit Court for Failure to Appear/ Larceny, Bail $5,000. Barnes Jr was cited into Lane County Circuit Court with a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, July 24, 2020, at approximately 12:30am, deputies stopped a vehicle near 3rd and Cummings for not having a functional license plate light. Deputies cited and released the driver, Zachery Shinall, 22, for a warrant for his arrest out of Benton County Circuit Court.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 7/24/2020, deputies were dispatched to a non-injury crash on Highway 99W near NW Arboretum Road. They arrived and spoke with the driver who was traveling North on Highway 99W. A deer ran across the road and she could not stop in time, hitting the deer. The deer was laying in the ditch when they arrived.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, July 24, 2020, at about 8:40 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a Nissan Maxima for speeding in the area of Highway 20 and mile post 43, near Philomath. The driver informed he thought he had a warrant and was suspended. Charles Tuttle, 30, had a warrant through Albany Municipal Court for Contempt of Court. Charles was issued citations for his warrant and for Driving While Suspended-Violation.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, July 19, 2020, at approximately 12:50 P.M., deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 20 near milepost 44 after a traffic violation. The passenger, Levi Joe Newberg, 29, had two confirmed warrants out of Albany Municipal Court, and one out of Lebanon Municipal Court. Deputies cited and released Newberg for his warrants. Deputies also cited the driver for Violation of the Basic Rule and Driving While Suspended-Violation.
THEFT 2 - On Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at approximately 5:00 P.M., deputies I contacted a citizen who reported a Bi-Mart brand vehicle battery was taken from the front of his garage door sometime between Friday July 17, 2020 at around 9:00 P.M. and Saturday, July 18, 2020 at around 12:00 P.M. The battery is valued at approximately $78.00.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1 - On July 21, 2020, at about 7:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a man trespassing on the railroad tracks at Conifer Blvd and Glacier Way. They located a male walking on the railroad tracks and warned him for Criminal Trespass I. He left the area.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On July 21, 2020, at about 11:15 p.m., deputies contacted a female in Takena Landing park after the posted hours for public use. They warned her for trespassing in the park after hours. She said she would leave the area.
CONTEMPT OF COURT - On Tuesday, July 21, 2020, around 11:20 P.M., deputies stopped a blue Jeep Cherokee on Norton Road near Adams Lane for a lighting violation. Justin Eide, 36, was a passenger and was arrested for two warrants. Eide was issued criminal citations and released in the field.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, WARRANT ARREST - On July 21, 2020, at about 12:15 AM, deputies contacted Donald William Johnson, 58, at the 900 block of NW Springhill Drive. Johnson was subsequently arrested for outstanding warrants and possession of a methamphetamine pipe.
DWS MIS - On July 20, 2020, at around 11:50 pm, deputies observed a gold-colored Buick Century traveling east on Highway 34, near milepost 1, with no rear license plate light. The driver, later identified as Parker Mowdy, 24, had a driver’s license suspended for misdemeanor DUII. Mowdy was issued a criminal citation for driving while suspended-misdemeanor. A friend of Mowdy’s arrived and drove Mowdy’s car from the scene.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE, UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On July 20, 2020, at around 8:28 pm, deputies talked by phone with a woman who reported her Ford Explorer’s rear window was broken as it was parked at the Peavy Arboretom. She reported a purse and handbag were stolen from the rear seat. She told deputies the theft occurred between 7:25 pm and 7:45 pm while she and her husband were hiking.
BURGLARY RESIDENCE, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On July 20, 2020, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident on the 2700 block of NW Countryman Place by phone. She thought someone was trying to break into her house earlier in the morning around 12:30AM. Deputies went to her house to take pictures and document the scene. The door leading to the garage was damaged, no entry was made.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Monday, July 20, 2020, at about 10:45 A.M., deputies were was dispatched to the 24600 block of Territorial Hwy for a trespass. Austin Snyder, 23, was arrested for Criminal Trespass II. Due to the jail’s inability to book misdemeanor charges, deputies provided Snyder a ride to a residence on Cherry Creek Rd.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, July 20, 2020, at about 9:30 A.M., deputies located James Leonard Drake, 52, in the tree farm adjacent to West Hills Road and 53rd Street. Drake had multiple confirmed warrants out of Albany Municipal Court. Drake was issued citations for his warrants and released. Warrant Information: Albany Municpal Court: DWS MISD FTA BAIL/$6510; Albany Municpal Court: FTC CONTEMPT OF COURT BAIL/$3075; and Albany Municpal Court: FTA OFFENSIVE LITTERING BAIL/$1370.
DWS MIS - On Monday, July 20, 2020 at about 8:40 A.M., deputies observed a black 1998 Ford Econoline traveling north on Highway 99W near Adair Frontage Rd and stopped it Camp Adair Rd/Independence Highway for speeding. The driver, Samuel Monroe, 43, was cited for Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor).
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, July 20, 2020, at about 8:30 A.M., deputies located Teresa Kai Ray, 31, at a tent north of Highway 34, in Alan Berg Park. Teresa had two confirmed warrants out of Linn County Circuit Court and Lebanon Municipal Court. Teresa was issued citations for both warrants and released. Warrant Information: Linn County Circuit Court, FTA ID Theft x3, No Bail and Lebanon Municipal Court, FTA Criminal Cite unauthorized Departure, $10,000 Bail.
WARRANT ARREST - On 07/20/2020, at 12:28 a.m., deputies arrested Robert Winningham, 54, on two confirmed warrants on the 200 block of SE Bridgeway Ave, Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon. He was transported to the Linn County Jail where he was lodged on his warrants.
FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On July 19, 2020, at around 11:59pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a tan Honda Civic driving west on NE Granger Ave, Corvallis, with no rear license plate light. The driver, later identified as Jason Bratsouleas, 49, told deputies his driver’s license was suspended. After being identified, Bratsouleas was warned he needed to resolve his license suspension.
FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On Sunday, July 19, 2020, at approximately 11:15 pm, deputies stopped Jacob Vest, 21, for a traffic violation near Bridgeway and Bethel. They cited and released Vest for failure to carry or present an operator’s license in front of the Benton County Courthouse.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On July 19, 2020, at around 5:30 pm, deputies responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash near the intersection of Old River Road and Highway 99W. Vehicle 1 was north on Highway 99W in a Toyota Camry, stopped to avoid a dog in the roadway and was hit from behind by vehicle 2, also traveling north in a Toyota Rav4. Vehicle 3 was driving south on Highway 99W in a 2015 Chevy Cruze when he stopped to help, but he became stuck as he pulled off the roadway. The owner of the injured dog arrived and took the dog from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, July 19, 2020, at about 2:45 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on 3rd St. near Twin Oaks Circle for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, JUSTIN DEAN RUSSELL, 44, had two outstanding Lebanon Municipal Court Warrants. RUSSELL was issued citations in the field on both warrants and cited and released.
FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 5:19 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a gold 1999 Mercedez near the intersection of Reservoir Ave and 53rd St, Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon. The driver was arrested for Failing to Carry/Present a License. The passenger who walked away from the stop was later identified as Jedidiah Tate, 39, and Probable Cause was developed for his arrest.
DWS MIS - On Saturday, July 18, 2020, at about 4:45 P.M., deputies stopped a Silver Mazda hatchback after they ran the license plate and learned the registered owner’s driving status was suspended misdemeanor. They confirmed the registered owner was operating the vehicle and later arrested the driver, Cameron Reed Gorman, 30, for driving while suspended- misdemeanor. Gorman was issued a criminal citation for the above listed charge.
BURGLARY 2, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2, THEFT 1 FROM BUILDING - On Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 4:02 p.m., deputies responded to the 6000 block of NW Independence Hwy, Albany, Benton County, Oregon for a report of a cold burglary. They contacted the property owner who described the location is vacant, and has been broken into multiple times in the last 30 days. Items were taken from the location, to include a Generac generator, and a Miller Matic 200 mig welder. There are currently no suspects.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Saturday, July 18, 2020, at about 3:15 P.M., deputies were dispatched to an injury crash at Highway 99W near milepost 101. They arrived and observed a green 2013 Kia Soul in the northbound lane. All involved parties were transported to a hospital Eugene. They spoke to a passenger in the Kia before she was transported and she stated she believed the driver had fallen asleep at the wheel and struck a tree with the front end of the Kia before coming to rest in the northbound lane. They spoke to a witness of the crash who confirmed the passenger’s statement.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, July 17, 2020, at about 11:30 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 34 near milepost #3 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, ROSE MARIE INCZE, 44, had two outstanding Albany Municipal Court Warrants. INCZE was issued citations in the field on both and cited and released.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE - On July 16, 2020, at around 5:30 pm, deputies talked by phone with a man who reported numerous items stolen from his Dodge Ram, including a .17 HMR rifle. He said the theft occurred earlier that day, between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm, while the Ram was parked near the intersection of Norton Creek Road and Highway 20. The total value of stolen items is approximately $1260.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE - On Thursday, July 16, 2020, at about 1:50 P.M., deputies spoke with a man on the telephone regarding an unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. He told deputies someone accessed a work truck on a job site on the 7100 block of Vandenberg Avenue. He said the suspect took a laptop and drone sometime in the afternoon of July 15. The laptop and drone were valued at $850.00 together. He did not have the serial numbers on hand or suspect information.
THEFT 1 - On Thursday, July 16, 2020, deputies were dispatched to contact a citizen concerning a theft. He told deputies over the last month, he has transferred $83,000 to a female he met on Seniorfriendfinder.com. He was contacted by his bank informing him the account he transferred money to was fraudulent.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, WARRANT ARREST, POSS HEROIN - On Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 7:00 PM, deputies contacted and arrested JACOB MYERS, 25, who had four outstanding misdemeanor warrants, while he was in the parking lot on the 300 block of NW 53rd Street near Corvallis. MYERS was also found to be in possession of small amounts of Methamphetamine and Heroin. MYERS was issued criminal citations with court dates in lieu of custody for his warrants, as well as for the new crimes of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Misdemeanor) and Unlawful Possession of Heroin (Misdemeanor), after the Benton County Jail would not accept him. WARRANT INFO: Benton County Circuit Court, FTA DWS Misdemeanor, $3,000 Bail; Benton County Circuit Court, FTA DWS Misdemeanor, $3,000 Bail; Benton County Circuit Court, FTA Endangering the Welfare of a Minor / FTA PCS Heroin, $3,000 Bail; and Benton County Circuit Court, FTA PCS Methamphetamine / FTA PCS Heroin / FTA DWS Misdemeanor, $3,000 Bail.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at approximately 6:55 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the front door of the Law Enforcement Center for a person who wanted to turn themselves in for a warrant. Deputies arrived and spoke with Justin Lewis Meyers, 34, who had a confirmed warrant for Failure to Appear: Harassment out of Benton County Circuit Court. Deputies cited and released Meyers for the warrant.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE - On Tuesday, July 14, 2020, around 2:00 A.M., deputies responded to the 300 block of N 7th Street, Monroe for a prowler. Two vehicles at the address were entered and around $200.00 was stolen between the two. The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. No further information.
DUII - On July 14, 2020, at about 1:20 AM, deputies were traveling westbound on Highway 20 near milepost 4, Benton County, Oregon. They stopped Samantha Veach, 33, for two driving violations and subsequently arrested her for DUII. Veach provided a BAC result of .16%.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, July 13, 2020 at about 7:05 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Avery Ave at Allen Lane for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, TAMMY LEANNE SMALLWOOD, 46, had an outstanding Marion County Circuit Court Felony Warrant for F.T.A.- THEFT I x 2. Deputies issued SMALLWOOD a citation in the field and she was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, July 12, 2020, at about 11:15 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a Green Mazda Protégé at Independence Road and Highway 20, near Corvallis. They contacted the driver, Nathan Shoemaker, 22, and his passenger, Tiffany Bates, 20, who both returned with multiple confirmed warrants through Linn County Circuit Court. Bates was issued citations for her four warrants and Shoemaker was issued citations for his six warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 12, 2020, at about 3:00 AM, deputies observed an extra patrol request for the 200 block of SE Chapman Pl they stopped and casually contacted two occupants sitting in a vehicle. Deputies identified one as Danyelle Barber, 30. They learned Barber had a felony probation violation warrant for her arrest. Deputies arrested and transported her to the Linn County jail where they refused to take her. Barber was cited and released in front of the Linn County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 12, 2020, at 12:29 AM, deputies stopped Joshua Dean Barclay, 36, on 2nd Avenue near Lyon Street in Albany for no plate light. Barclay was Driving While Suspended Violation and had two confirmed warrants for his arrest out of Benton County Circuit Court. Warrant #1 was for Failure to Appear/ Possession of Methamphetamine & Heroin. Warrant #2 was for Failure to Appear/ Theft II. Barclay was issued new court dates for the warrants. Corvallis Police Department had probable cause to arrest Barclay for Unlawful Possession of Heroin so deputies transported Barclay to the Benton County Jail for the Corvallis Police Department.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, July 11, 2020, at about 11:20 PM, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a white 1997 Chevrolet Caviler at NW Independence Highway and NW Ryals Avenue. Deputies contacted the driver and informed him of the reason for the stop for expired registration tags. The driver provided them with his Oregon ID card. The driver, Zachary Stegner, 34, returned with a suspended driving status and Parole Violation for Assault IV- Felony out of Lane County. Zachary was arrested for his Parole Violation warrant and transported to Lane County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, July 11, 2020, at 10:18 p.m., deputies responded to the 24600 block of Territorial Hwy, Monroe, Benton County, Oregon for a trespass in progress. Austin Snyder, 23, was arrested on two confirmed warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court. Snyder was issued citations for the warrants, and released in the field.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, July 11, 2020, at about 2:10 P.M., deputies observed a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer traveling 73 MPH near Philomath Blvd. and 15th St. They stopped the vehicle on Highway 34 near Ireland Ln. Dispatch advised the driver, Brandon Hall, 27, had a confirmed warrant out of Linn County Justice Court for DUII. Hall was cited and released for his warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, July 11, 2020, at about 10:30 A.M., deputies arrived on the 3000 block of SE 3rd St. for a warrant. Justin Dean Hill had a confirmed Oregon State Parole Board Warrant. They contacted Hill and informed him he was under arrest. They transported Hill to the Benton County Jail for processing. At the jail, it was discovered Hill was in possession of three credit cards not issued to him.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, July 10, 2020 at about 11:15 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on 2nd St. near Harrison Blvd for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, JOHN WAYNE MILLER, 42, had an outstanding Warrant out of the Oregon State Parole Board for Parole Violation. Deputies arrested MILLER and transported him to the Linn County Jail where he was lodged.
DWS MIS - On July 9, 2020, at around 7:33 pm, deputies observed a red Chevrolet Suburban slowly pull in front of them with a small child standing up on the front passenger-side seat with her head out of the window. They initiated a traffic stop near Flame Tree Lane NW and Cork Tree Lane NW. The driver, later identified as Katherine Corder, 57, told them she did not have a driver’s license. Corder was criminally cited for driving while suspended-misdemeanor and cited for failure to use a safety belt.
BURGLARY 1 - On Thursday, July 9, 2020, deputies were dispatched to the 2700 block of NW Countryman Place for a Burglary. They spoke with the resident who said on Sunday, July 5, at about 2:00AM, an unknown male entered her home through the unlocked garage. She said a roommate’s dog barked and the male left the residence in an unknown vehicle. She said nothing was taken from the residence and has no suspect information. Deputies encouraged her to lock her residence and look into a security system.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at approximately 5:23 PM, deputies contacted and arrested DAVID LONGO, 44, while he was working on a vehicle on the 2600 block of NW Highland Drive in Corvallis for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. LONGO was issued a criminal citation with a court date in lieu of custody for the warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court for FTA Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon / FTA on a Criminal Citation.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On July 3, 2020, at around 1:36 p.m., detectives contacted a man on the courthouse lawn after he was reportedly exposing himself to passersby.
DWS MIS - On Tuesday, July 7, 2020, around 4:20 A.M., deputies stopped a grey Chevy Impala on NE Highway 20 near Rondo Street for no license plate lights. The driver was identified as Anthony Nowak, 24. Nowak handed deputies a temporary license from implied consent paperwork. The temporary license was effective until 6/28/20. Deputies ran Nowak and his driving status in Oregon was Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor as of 6/27/20. Nowak was heading to work and said he was not driving because of an emergency. Nowak was issued a criminal citation and waited for a ride.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE FATAL - On Monday, July 6, 2020, at about 2:12 P.M., deputies were disaptched to a single vehicle rollover crash on Llewellyn Road about one mile east of Highway 99. The driver, Ashley Kropf, was found deceased. Kropf’s family was notified by Linn County Sheriff`s Office. The U.S. Postal Inspector arrived and took possession of the mail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - Vehicle #1 was driving north on Independence Highway. Vehicle #1 went off the pavement to the east side of the road, then crossed back over both lanes of the road. Vehicle #1 drove off the west side of the road and collided into a ditch. Vehicle #1 rolled onto its driver’s side. The driver was transported by Corvallis Fire Department to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis. Vehicle #1 was towed.
POSS STOLEN VEHICLE - On Sunday, July 5, 2020, at about 2:10 PM, deputies were dispatched to a Suspicious Vehicle at the above location. They arrived and located a Blue Dodge pick-up truck with Idaho license plates parked just off Airport Road on a farm access road about 100 feet from Airport Road. Dispatch advised the pick-up was stolen out of Corvallis that morning.
ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT - On Saturday, July 4, 2020, at about 11:05 PM, deputies found a dog walking on Tampico Road, near mile post 5, north of Corvallis. The Border Collie seemed stressed by fireworks so deputies called the dog into their car and transported him to Heartland Humane Society. The dog had no collar or tags, and nobody in the area looking for it.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, July 5, 2020, at about 12:15 AM, deputies stopped a pick-up truck on Harrison Blvd. near 2nd St. for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, ALEX JASPER MAYBERRY, 32, had four outstanding warrants. Two were out of Linn County Circuit Court and two were out of Albany Municipal Court. MAYBERRY was issued citations and cited and released in the field on all four warrants.
FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On Saturday, July 4, 2020, at about 10:00 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 501 near Highway 34 in Alsea for a traffic violation. They arrested the driver, JOSEPH JOHN THOMPSON, 41, for Failure to Carry/Present a Driver’s License. After confirming his identity in the field, he was cited and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On 7/4/2020, at around 11:30, Vehicle #1 was traveling eastbound on SW Reservoir Ave., approaching Bald Hill Park. Vehicle #2 was in front of Vehicle #1, attempting to turn into Bald Hill Park and was stopped on the roadway waiting for traffic to pass going the opposite direction. Vehicle #1 failed to notice Vehicle #2 was stopped and ran into the back of Vehicle #2. A passenger was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital by Corvallis Fire Department. Vehicle #1 was towed due to damage from the crash.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, July 3, 2020, at about 11:20 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 20 near milepost #47 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, KADIE ELIZABETH BONINI, 41, had two outstanding warrants, one out of Clackamas County Circuit Court for F.T.A.- P.C.S. I. The other was out of Marion County Circuit Court for F.T.A.- THEFT II. BONINI was cited and released in the field on both warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, July 3, 2020, at about 9:40 PM, deputies contacted RICHARD ALLEN SATHER, 30, near his residence in Alsea. Dispatch advised SATHER had an outstanding Benton County Circuit Court Warrant for F.T.A.- P.C.S. II. SATHER was issued a citation in the field and cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, July 3, 2020, at about 7:00 PM, deputies contacted MICHAEL GARY SIMMER, 54, walking his bicycle on Main St. Dispatch confirmed two outstanding Benton County Circuit Court Warrants for F.T.A.- P.C.S. II and F.T.A. - P.C.S. II/THEFT I. SIMMER was cited and released in the field.
THEFT 3 - On Friday, July 3, 2020, deputies were dispatched to contact a citizen concerning a theft from her mailbox. She said on June 26, 2020, an unknown person stole an Amazon package from her mailbox. She said the package contained three books valued at $10 each. She said she confirmed delivery with the post office and that she has had other items stolen from her property before and doesn`t have any suspect information. Deputies suggested she get a security system on her residence.
WARRANT ARREST - On July 1, 2020, at about 1:45 AM, deputies observed two males on bicycles fail to signal a turn from North Albany Rd in a parking lot near Hickory St NW and then again from the lot onto Hickory St NW in North Albany. Deputies stopped and identified Raymond Etzel, and arrested him for two outstanding Linn County warrants and transported him to the Linn County jail where he was lodged. Etzel was also in possession of a syringe with residue in his sock and a scale with residue in his bicycle bag. Warrant info: FTA- felon in possession of a restricted weapon, Linn County, no bail. FTA- Linn county, no bail owes 4 days jail for failure to perform community service.
DUII .15 THRU .19 - On June 30, 2020, at about 10:40 PM, deputies were traveling eastbound on Van Buren Blvd near 5th Street when they observed Nicholas Barlow-Enos, 24, commit several traffic violations and nearly strike their patrol vehicle. Deputies subsequently stopped and arrested Barlow-Enos for DUII. Barlow-Enos provided a breath sample of .15 % BAC. Case cleared by arrest.
WARRANT ARREST - On 6/30/2020, at around 9:30 PM, deputies were traveling eastbound on NW Walnut Blvd when they radarred a vehicle coming the opposite direction going over 100 MPH. Deputies contacted the passenger, Andrew Morgan, in the parking lot of the Benton County Fairgrounds. Andrew Morgan had a confirmed warrant for FTA II out of Linn County Justice Court. Deputies cited and released Morgan for the warrant. Deputies seized a syringe from Morgan that was in his pocket and will be sending it to the Crime Lab for testing for controlled substances. The driver was cited for multiple traffic violations.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE - On Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at approximately 5:30 P.M., deputies went to 3rd Street and Madison Avenue, after Corvallis Police Officers located Lawrence Lemaster, 41. Deputies had probable cause to arrest Lemaster for Burglary I and Theft I. While arresting Lemaster for the probable cause, they searched him for weapons and means of escape and located a pouch around his waist, which contained 6 amphetamine pills and a plastic baggie with methamphetamine residue. Deputies cited Lemaster for PCS-Methamphetamine.
THEFT 1 DECEPTION - On Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at approximately 5:20 P.M., deputies spoke with a citizen regarding a fraud complaint. He said on about June 23 he spoke with someone who identified themselves as Jack Harper after a paypal issue. He was told to send three gift cards totaling $1500.00 to fix the problem. After doing this, he found out this was fraudulent.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 6/30/2020, at around 2:15 PM, Vehicle #1 was traveling southbound on Highway 99W approaching Lakeside Dr. Vehicle #2 was behind vehicle #1. Both vehicles were behind a farm implement traveling southbound. Vehicle #2 went into the oncoming lane to pass vehicle #1 and the farm implement. As they got to Lakeside Drive, Vehicle #1 attempted to turn left onto Lakeside Drive, hitting the right front passenger side on Vehicle #2. Vehicle #2 went into a field, but was towed due to the damage from the crash. Vehicle #1 was also towed from the crash due to damage from the crash.
DUII DRUGS, FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER, RECKLESS DRIVING - On Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at about 9:05 am, dispatch advised of a recklessly driven tan sedan westbound on highway 20 from Albany. William Bruckert, 35, was arrested for DUII, Reckless Driving, Fail to Perform Duties (Property damage) and Criminal Mischief II.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On Monday, June 29, 2020, at approximately 5:00 P.M., deputies called and spoke with a hiker regarding her vehicle being broken into while she was at Alsea Falls. She said someone broke the front driver`s window of the vehicle and stole her purse, as well as $200.00 worth of essential oils and $100.00 cash.
THEFT 3 - FROM VEHICLE, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2, UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Saturday, June 27, 2020, at about 8:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to an unlawful entry in to a motor vehicle at the Peavy Arboretum parking lot, near Adair Village. The owner stated his car was broken into and a black folder was stolen. No suspect information.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2, UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Saturday, June 27, 2020, at about 8:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to an unlawful entry in to a motor vehicle at the Peavy Arboretum parking lot, near Adair Village. The owner stated her car was broken into and her black REI backpack was stolen. No suspect information.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE (FELONY), WARRANT ARREST, POSS HEROIN (MISD) - On Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 6:43 PM, deputies saw ALEXIS CARRILLO, 22, meet with a vehicle in a parking lot on the 400 block of SW Western Boulevard in Corvallis. CARRILLO had multiple outstanding warrants for her arrest and fled when they attempted to contact her. Deputies took CARRILLO into custody after a short foot chase and she was transported to the Benton County Jail, where she was booked and lodged on her warrants. CARRILLO had a small amount of controlled substances in her backpack and was also later cited for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine - Felony and Unlawful Possession of Heroin - Misdemeanor.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, July 1st, 2020, deputies were dispatched to NW Harrison Blvd near NW 53rd St for a single vehicle accident. They arrived and spoke with the driver, who had struck a deer in her silver 2004 Volkswagen Bug. The deer hit the front windshield and passenger windows but did not cause $2500 worth of damage. The vehicle was driven away from the scene.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 7/1/20, AT APPROXIMATELY 9:40 AM, DEPUTIES WERE PREPARING TO RELEASE SMITH, DONNA, 57, WHEN THEY LEARNED SHE HAD A WARRANT OUT OF LINN CO CIRCUIT COURT FOR FTA PCS METH, NO BAIL. DEPUTIES CONTACTED LINN CO AND THEY DID NOT HAVE ROOM FOR SMITH SO THEY PROVIDED A COURT DATE AND TIME.
CONTEMPT OF COURT, FAIL TO APPEAR ON CRIMINAL CITATION - On Tuesday, June 30, 2020, around 11:30 P.M., deputies stopped a green Ford Mustang on Highway 20 near milepost 47. Deputies arrested Zachary Johnson, 30, for three warrants and Levi Johnson, 32, for four warrants. Criminal citations issued for all the warrants.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, June 25, 2020 at about 7:14 am, deputies were dispatched to the 3000 block of West Hills Road for the report of a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, they spoke with the driver of unit one. Unit one was coming to a stop to turn into a driveway, when she was rear ended. The driver of unit two pulled onto Reservoir Ave from West Hills Road. Unit two did not realize unit one was coming to a stop and was unable to avoid colliding with unit one.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On June 30, 2020, Jones, Rickey Donell JR, 38, tuned himself into the Benton County Jail. Jones had a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for FTA Assa IV, Strangulation and Discon II. Jones was issued a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at about 12:40 am, deputies were on patrol in the area of SW Twin Oaks Circle and SW 3rd Street, Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon. They performed a traffic stop on a red 1994 Geo Prizm for Making an Unlawful or Unsignaled turn. The passenger, Julie Marie Quinlan, 47, had a confirmed warrant for Failure to Appear from Albany Municipal Court.
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE, UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On June 29, 2020, at around 1:21 pm, deputies discovered a 2006 Toyota Camry with a broken window parked at the public parking area near 2600 NW Sulphur Springs Road, Corvallis. The victim reported a backpack containing a bible and journal was stolen.
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE, UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On June 29, 2020, at around 12:30 pm, deputies responded to a broken car window and stolen purse at a hiking trail parking lot, near 2600 NW Sulphur Springs Road, Corvallis. The victims reported their car window was broken during a 45-minute period they were riding bikes. One reported her purse, placed under the front seat, was taken. The purse contained credit cards and about $50 in cash. Deputies advised them to notify their bank.
DUII, ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, June 29, 2020, at 6:02 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Hwy 20 at milepost 47, Philomath, Benton County, Oregon for a possible injury crash. Veh #1, a white 2002 Toyota Tundra, driven by Jessica Cunningham, 39, was traveling eastbound on Hwy 20 near milepost 47 at a stated speed of 55 MPH. Veh #1 left the south side of the Highway, over corrected the opposite direction, Cunningham applied brakes which induced a skid. Veh #1 left the north side of the Highway, and down an embankment about 10 feet. Cunningham was the only occupant, and was not injured. The air bags were not deployed. After a DUII investigation, Cunningham was arrested. She was wearing her seatbelt during the crash. A tow company responded and took possession of Veh #1.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, June 29, 2020, at about 1:35 am, deputies were on patrol in the area of SW 3rd Street, Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon. They located Rochelle Christine Smith, 23, skateboarding south on SW 3rd Street. Smith had a confirmed warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court.
ASSAULT 2, UNLAW USE OF WEAPON, MENACING, ASSAULT 4 - On June 28, 2020, at around 2:23pm, deputies responded to a 911 hang-up call on the 3400 block of NW Highway 20, Albany. The resident stated her husband had gotten into a physical altercation with Timbra Miller, 19. The husband said he was hit with a propane torch and punched by Timbra. On June 29, at around 3:18pm, deputies arrested Timbra for Assault II, Assault IV, Menacing, and Unlawful use of a dangerous weapon. Timbra was transported to Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On June 22, 2020, Norberg, Elsa, 20, tuned herself into the Benton County jail. Norberg had a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for FTA PCS Heroin. Norberg was given a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, June 29, 2020 at about 12:20 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on 3rd St. at Twin Oaks Circle for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, JOSHUA EDWARD GABELL, 36, had an outstanding Oregon State Parole Board Warrant for Absconding for Attempted Homicide. Deputies arrested GABELL and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS W/ FIREARM, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Sunday, June 28, 2020, at about 9:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Stow Pit Rd. near milepost 1 for a trespass. Kyle Giron, 31, and Tyler Meilink, 27, were cited for Criminal Trespass While Possessing a Firearm. Samantha Scott, 28, was cited for Criminal Trespass II.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 28, 2020, at 1:12 AM, deputies stopped Ernest Lee Burgos Jr on 53rd Street near Harrison Boulevard in Corvallis for Expired Registration. Burgos Jr, 35, had a confirmed warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for Failure to Appear/Theft III, Bail $500. Burgos Jr was cited on the warrant and given a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, June 28, 2020, at about 12:30 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 99W near milepost #96 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, JUSTIN DEAN RUSSELL, 44, had an outstanding Albany Municipal Court Warrant for Contempt of Court. RUSSELL was issued a citation for the warrant and released in the field.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, June 27, 2020, at about 8:35 PM, deputies stopped a car on 4th St. near Jefferson Ave for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, ANTHONY ROBERT MARGESON, 29, had an outstanding Warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court for F.T.A.- THEFT II. Deputies arrested MARGESON and transported him to the Sheriff`s Office where he was cited and released.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Saturday, June 27, 2020 at about 8:20 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the 28700 block of Irish Bend Rd. for a report of a trespass. Tyler Meilink, Kyle Giron and Samantha Scott were informed they were no longer allowed to be on the property and would be arrested if they returned.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 VANDALISM - On Saturday, June 27, 2020, at about 8:40 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a criminal mischief at the 2600 block of Michelle Drive. They were advised someone had removed a "No parking" sign at the top of Michelle Drive and had thrown it down the hill. Deputies arrived and observed the sign had been removed from the ground and it was approximately 50 feet down the embankment.
DUII, RECKLESS DRIVING - On Friday, June 26, 2020, at about 11:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to a traffic crash on Maxfield Creek Road, near milepost 1. Deputies arrived to the crash which was located on Highway 223 and Maxfield Creek Road, where a pickup truck left the road way. The driver, Dustin Hammond, 32, admitted to DUII and consented to a blood draw when he was up at the hospital. Dustin was issued criminal citations for DUII and Reckless Driving.
DWS MIS - On Friday, June 26, 2020, at about 9:15 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 501 near milepost #2 for two traffic violations. The driver, VIRGIL LEE DYER, 59, was arrested for Driving While Suspended - (Misdemeanor). DYER was cited and released in the field.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday June 26, 2020 at about 7:55 PM, deputies stopped a pick-up on Highway 501 near milepost #1 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver of the pick-up, SETH MATTHEW FOUSIE TOLLESON, 25, had an outstanding Benton County Circuit Court Warrant for Assault IV. Tolleson was cited and released in the field.
BURGLARY 2, THEFT 1 FROM BUILDING, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Friday, June 26, 2020, at about 8:50 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a cold burglary on the 7300 block of Arnold Avenue. Deputies arrived and spoke with the Adair Village Manager. He stated sometime the previous someone broke into the Adair Village sewage plant and stole various items. He said the suspects cut the locks on two gates, broke a vent and door to gain access to the area.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 26, 2020, deputies arrested BRENDA KAY HOLLAND, 50, on confirmed felony warrants out of Linn County after a traffic stop on Meadowflower Drive near 53rd Street. She was transported to the Linn County Jail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, June 25, 2020, at about 12:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to a traffic crash on Highway 99W, near mile post 102, south of Monroe. Deputies arrived to Car 1 and Car 2 off the roadway in a parking lot. Car 1 had pulled out of a driveway to drive north on Highway 99W. Car 2 was in the process of passing a semi-truck driving south bound. When Car 1 pulled on to the highway, Car 1 struck Car 2 as it was passing. The crash caused damage to the driver side of Car 2 from the driver’s side mirror, to the back of the utility bed, and a dent to the front of Car 1. Both vehicles were drivable and drove away under their own power. The driver of Car 1 was issued a citation for No Operator’s License.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On June 25, 2020, at about 9:45 A.M., Vehicle #1 turned left from Highway 99 onto Camp Adair Road, traveling west. Vehicle #2 was driving north on Highway 99, and collided with vehicle #1. The driver of Vehicle #2 was transported by medics to Good Samaritan Hospital. Both vehicles were towed.
THEFT 1, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On June 24, 2020, at approximately 3:15 PM, deputies responded to a reported burglary at an unoccupied "For Sale" residence, located on the 6700 block of NW Diamond Place, Corvallis. Realtor The realtor reported all exterior doors of the house were found unlocked, a key lock-box was stolen from the front-door, and a stolen bottle of wine. The homeowner reported a power washer was stolen. The crime occurred between home showings on June 21 at 5 pm and June 23 at 12:45 pm.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 6/28/2020, at 8:42 PM, Vehicle #1, was traveling west bound on Highway 34 approaching Seeley Creek Dr., Alsea, OR. Vehicle #1 went off the north side of the roadway into the ditch area, hit a driveway culvert and impacted a parked RV trailer that was along the side of the roadway with a for sale sign. Vehicle #1 ended up being stopped by several trees causing the airbags to inflate. The vehicle was towed from the scene due to the damage. The driver did not report any injuries.
DUII - On June 23, 2020, at approximately 2:19 PM, deputies observed a black Toyota Tacoma traveling east on Highway 20 Milepost 38 at a high rate of speed. The arrested Christopher Waters, 27, for Driving under the influence of intoxicants. Waters was cited and released to himself.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE, UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Monday, June 22, 2020, at approximately 5:30 am, deputies spoke with a resident regarding an unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. Sometime between Friday at 2:30 pm and reporting time an unknown person(s) entered his company vehicle and removed his Cimarron .357 and a company IPAD.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, DWS MIS - On Monday, June 22, 2020, at about 3:45 am, deputies were on patrol in the area of NW Taylor Ave and NW 14th Street, Corvallis, Oregon, Benton County. They initiated a traffic stop on a Maroon Jeep Grand Cherokee for Failing to Obey Traffic Control Device. The driver, Jeffrey John Charles, 44, was Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor. Charles had methamphetamine particles in his right front pants pocket, along with other drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Deputies cited Charles for PCS Meth and DWS Misd. The passenger, Angela Alice Filip, 23, was cited for PCS Meth.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER - On Monday, June 22, 2020, at about 1:05 am, deputies were on patrol in the area of Highway 20, milepost 9, Albany, Oregon, Benton County, when they initiated a traffic stop on a green Honda Civic for Violating Basic Rule, radar speed 62mph in a 45mph zone. The driver, Kenneth Eugene Lane Jr., 41, driving while suspended, provided the name for identification purposes of Jessy Allen Baily Williams. Lane was cited for False Info to Police, Driving While Suspended, Driving Uninsured, and Violating Basic Rule.
IDENTITY THEFT, METHAMPHETAMINE, HINDER PROSECUTION, WARRANT ARREST, FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER - On Friday, June 19, 2020, at approximately 11:50 pm, deputies stopped a white GMC pickup on Highway 20 near Mile Post 40 for a traffic violation. They arrested Madison Desanto, 22, for a warrant out of Marion County and additional charges of identity theft and giving false information. They also arrested Gregory Everts, 57, for hindering prosecution and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On June 26th, 2020, deputies arrested BRENDA KAY HOLLAND, 50, on confirmed felony warrants out of Linn County after a traffic stop on Meadowflower Drive near 53rd Street. She was transported to the Linn County Jail.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On June 25, 2020, at about 5:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to South Fork Rd near MP 3 for a report of a suspicious van parked in the area for the last 3 weeks. Deputies contacted the owner and explained to him the rules of camping on BLM owned land. After being warned of trespassing, he agreed to pack up and leave the area.
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER - On June 23, 2020, at approximately 1:42 PM, deputies located Thomas Lanier, 25, at his residence on the 700 block of NW 4th St, Corvallis. Lanier failed to register as a sex offender within ten days of his May 5 birthday. Deputies issued Lanier a criminal citation for Failure to report as a sex offender.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT(S) - On June 23, 2020, at about 12:10 a.m., deputies were dispatched to three males vandalizing a plaque by the courthouse at 120 NW 4th St. They arrived and spoke to three young males who were polite and said they were just walking and chatting. The plaque had no damage.
MENACING INTIMIDATE/THRT, UNLAW USE OF WEAPON, DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2, HARASSMENT PHONE, STALKING - On June 8, 2020, at about 8:30 p.m., deputies responded to a call of an argument and menacing on the 800 block of Commercial Street in Monroe. Lawrence Allen Ozment, 40, was cited for Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Menacing and Stalking. He was released to the hospital for treatment. Michael John Thayer, 35, was cited for Harassment, Disorderly Conduct II and Stalking.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On June 23, 2020, at about 6:00 p.m., deputies responded to the 26400 block of Alpine Cutoff Road for a reported trespass. They later located a woman and warned her for trespass and told her she wasn`t welcome on the property.
PROPERTY, LOST - On June 23, 2020, deputies responded to a report of a syringe laying on the ground near Green Peak Road and Hawley Creek Road. They found one capped syringe and one syringe cap. They put the syringe in their sharps container.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On June 22, 2020, at about 11:00 p.m., deputies located a 2011 Nissan Rogue parked in a pull off Camp Adair Road. I contacted the driver who said he was just resting in the middle of a long drive.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On June 21, 2020, deputies observed a pitched tent at Hyak Park. They contacted the tent’s owner and informed him he could not camp at the park.
THEFT 2 - On June 19, 2020, at about 4:30 pm, deputies spoke with a resident by phone who reported a theft of a surfboard in the last 24 hours from his shared storage unit on the 6300 block of SW Reservoir Ave. The surfboard was a 6`1" Channel Island made by Al Merek. He described it as white with black grip tape (back 2/3) and three fins valued at $350.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Friday, June 19, 2020, at about 8:25 am, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Courthouse for a male refusing to leave. Upon arrival, they observed a male identified as Alex Rice, 36, speaking with courthouse security and Benton County Jail Deputies. Rice was arrested for Trespass II and booked into the Benton County Jail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Thursday, June 18, 2020, at about 1:05 pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Highway 99W near Elliott Circle. Upon arrival Corvallis Fire was already on scene and talking with the drivers. Unit 2 was headed south on Hwy 99w. The vehicle in front of her began stopping quickly and she was unable to avoid rear-ending unit 1. Unit 2 driver said she was eating her lunch while driving. The driver of unit 1 said traffic was coming to a stop and she could see a flashing light up ahead. The line of traffic was fairly long. Unit 1 said she was coming to a stop when she was struck from behind.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at about 7:00 am, deputies were dispatched to the area of NW Independence Hwy and NW Quailwood for a single vehicle rollover crash. Upon arrival they spoke with the driver who was driving north on NW Independence Hwy, when an elk ran across the roadway. He swerved in an attempt to miss the elk causing his vehicle to leave the roadway. His vehicle rolled in the ditch and came to rest in the roadway on its top.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On June 16, 2020, at about 8:00 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a reckless and possibly impaired driver on Highway 20 near Independence Highway. They located a new black Mercedez at Walnut and 9th St. The driver was not impaired, just trying to operate a brand new vehicle with a confusing GPS system.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 6/22/20, ACKER, DUSTIN, 37, WAS SCHEDULED FOR RELEASE. ACKER WAS RAN AND IT SHOWED THAT HE HAD A WARRANT OUT OF LINN CO FOR FTA PCS METH, NO BAIL. DEPUTIES CONFIRMED THE WARRANT AND ISSUED ACKER A NEW COURT DATE.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT – ON JUNE 19, 2020, JAMES SANNEY, 57, TURNED HIMSELF IN AT BENTON COUNTY JAIL FOR AN FTA WARRANT FOR UEMV, THEFT II, Bail 3000-00, OUT OF BENTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT. WARRANT WAS LOCATED AND CLEARED BY DISPATCH AND CASE NUMBER WAS ASSIGNED. SUBJECT WAS PROVIDED WITH A NEW COURT DATE OF 07-20-2020 AT 1300 HOURS, AND RELEASED.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, June 19, 2020, at about 6:30 P.M., deputies were sitting attempting to turn south on 3rd Street near Twin Oaks Circle when they saw Felipe Leo Morfin, 31, walk by them. Deputies are familiar with Morfin from previous encounters. Morfin had had four confirmed FTA warrants out of Benton County Circuit court. They arrested Morfin for the warrants and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
BURGLARY 1, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2, THEFT, BURGLARY 2 - On Friday, June 19, 2020, at about 3:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to a burglary on the 4700 block of Independence Highway, near Albany. They arrived and spoke with the homeowner who reported her "mother in law house" and seed storage barn were broken into. She stated multiple items were taken from the property and total amount of property was valued at $2,080.00 dollars.
BURGLARY 2 - On June 19, 2020, at about 3:15 pm, a neighbor reported an open door on a vacant house located on the 24800 block of Evergreen Rd, Philomath. Deputies responded to the scene and cleared the residence. The owner reported a theft of a 4x8 folding utility trailer.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, June 19, 2020, at about 2:30 pm, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 and Circle Boulevard for a vehicle crash. Driver 1 attempted to turn west onto Circle Boulevard, failed to yield the right of way to driver 2, who was westbound on Highway 20. No injuries; photos taken.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 18, 2020, at about 10:26 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle in the ditch on Hulbert Lake RD about ½ mile from HWY 99w. The driver was traveling southbound on Hulbert Lake Rd when she attempted to turn around. While turning around, she backed down into a culvert on the east side of the road. A tow company out of Eugene towed the vehicle from the scene. Slight damage to the plastic culvert was documented and Benton County Roads Department was advised.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On Thursday, June 18, 2020, at about 2:35 P.M., deputies were dispatched to possible illegal camping at Old River Road near Bundy Road. They arrived and walked a trail on the North Side of the Bundy Bridge and observed an old model Ford F150, which appeared to be abandoned. Deputies were familiar with this vehicle because they had contacted the owner in it numerous times. He was not present at the time. Deputies chose to leave a business card in the truck asking him to remove the vehicle from the area. Deputies will do checks in the area periodically to attempt to contact him.
THEFT 1 - On Thursday, June 18, 2020, deputies spoke with a resident concerning on online scam. She used a personal credit card and paid $1495 to Premium Network Fix for an automatic virus protection. she realized this to be a scam and contacted her credit card company to freeze the pending payment.
INFO-SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at approximately 7:50 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 25700 block of Highway 99W for suspicious activity. Deputies were told the caller had arrived at the house and noticed a vehicle that was in the driveway was positioned on top of a bottle jack. He had seen someone walking away from the house but never saw them on the property. The house is a vacant house that he last checked on about June 11, 2020. He described the person walking away as wearing, jeans, sneakers, a fitted black, puffy jacket. He said this person walked towards where a car was parked and then drove away as the person got near it.
THEFT 2, FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD - On Friday, June 12, 2020, at about 4:50 PM, deputies were dispatched to a theft on the 7400 block of NE Pettibone Drive, near Corvallis. Deputies spoke with the resident who stated his credit card was stolen and money was taken from his account. He said a total of $730.00 dollars was taken from his social security account, using his direct express card.
THEFT 1 - On Thursday, June 18, 2020, deputies spoke with a woman concerning on online scam. She used a personal credit card and paid $1495 to Premium Network Fix for an automatic virus protection. She then realized this to be a scam and contacted her credit card company to freeze the pending payment.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On June 17, 2020, at about 6:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 31900 block of Fern Rd for a report of criminal mischief. The resident reported a known woman threw a metal decorative item breaking out the front window of his residence. He did not want to pursue charges and requested they document the incident.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING, FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER, RECKLESS DRIVING, DUII - On May 31, 2020, at about 10:15 p.m., deputies responded to a crash at Highway 20 and Milepost 39. The vehicle was abandoned when they arrived. They later located Willie Williams, 43, hiding in the nearby forest, for DUII, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering, Fail to Perform Duties of a Driver and Refusal of a Urine test. He was cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at about 2:05 am, deputies were on patrol in the area of Van Buren Ave, Corvallis, Oregon, Benton County, when they initiated a traffic stop on a green Mazda Protégé for making an unlawful or unsignaled change of lanes. The driver, Charles Louis Anderson, 50, had four confirmed warrants. Anderson was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
BURGLARY 2, THEFT 2 - On June 16, 2020, deputies received a report of a burglary and theft from a residence located on the 1600 block of SW Allen St, Corvallis. The resident reported his Les Paul guitar was stolen from his house. He believes the theft occurred around June 1, 2020, when his neighbor saw an unknown man looking through the windows of his house.
THEFT 2, UUV - On Monday, June 15, 2020, at about 2:00 P.M., deputies arrived on the 26900 block of Dawson Rd. and spoke with a resident who reported he’s the executor for an estate and a wallet, cell phone, two vehicle titles and one vehicle went missing.
POSS HEROIN, DUII DRUGS, HINDER PROSECUTION, ELUDE VEHICLE, ELUDE FOOT - On Saturday, June 13th, 2020, at about 10:35 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 34 near milepost #1 for two traffic violations. The driver, JUSTIN DEAN HILL, 32, was arrested after he fled the vehicle and was apprehended by a Sheriff`s Office K-9. STEVEN GERALD ANDERSON, 26, and JESSICA HOPE BARAL, 18, were also arrested. HILL was transported to the Linn County Jail where he was lodged. ANDERSON and BARAL were cited and released from the Sheriff`s Office. The vehicle was impounded.
THEFT 3, IDENTITY THEFT - On Monday, June 15, 2020 at about 1:00 P.M., deputies spoke with a resident by telephone who stated on June 11, an unknown person had added a phone line to her cell phone account. She was unaware who this person was and she was currently charged $50 for the addition. She then told deputies she needed a case number to cancel the line.
DUII, CONTEMPT OF COURT - On June 13, 2020, at approximately 5:30 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Willamette Ave near Holly Ln. Deputies determined the driver, Michael BAKER, 32, was under the influence as he had slurred speech, a slack facial appearance, droopy eyelids, bloodshot, watery eyes, and I could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from him. Michael BAKER later consented to field sobriety tests. Deputies arrested BAKER for DUII and an outstanding Philomath Municipal Warrant.
DWS MIS, FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE - On Saturday, June 13, 2020, at 1:23 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a white 2000 Crown Victoria on Hwy 20 near MP 47. Brandon Pease, 38, was arrested for DWS-Misdemeanor and Fail to Carry/Present License. The driver was issued citations and released on scene.
FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT - On June 12, 2020, at around 3:57 p.m., deputies stopped a silver 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer at SW 3rd St and Twin Oaks Ave for expired registration. Joseph GOMEZ, 40, was later arrested, cited and released for a warrant.
BURGLARY 2, THEFT 1 - On June 15, 2020, deputies responded to a report of a burglary at a new residence currently being constructed on the 1200 block of Scenic Drive NW, Albany. The home builder told deputies he had been a victim of two separate burglaries over the past one and one-half months, involving stolen tools and plumbing fixtures. There was no sign of forced entry, and he did not know who may have taken the items.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On June 14, 2020, at about 11:15 p.m., deputies warned two visitors for trespassing, as they were parked on the boat ramp in Hyak Park after dark. They said they would leave.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On June 14, 2020, at approximately 3:03 PM, deputies responded to a reported trespassing incident at a residence, located on the 1400 block of Commercial Street, Monroe. A resident told deputies me he saw Christopher Reid, 37, drive his van through the property along his private driveway. Reid was issued a criminal citation for Criminal Trespassing 2.
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE, UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On June 14, 2020, at approximately 8:38 am, deputies received a report from a woman, that her car window was broken and her Kindle tablet was stolen while she was parked at a trailhead, near Milepost 74, Highway 99. She said the damage and theft occurred between 7:30 am and 8:30 am.
BURGLARY 2 - On June 14, 2020, at approximately 8:26 AM, deputies received a report of a man possibly attempting to break into a house and shop located on the 29600 block of Highway 99, Corvallis. Deputies responded and found a man on the property, whom was given a courtesy transport to Corvallis Transit Station and provided a list of local resources.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Saturday, June 13, 2020, at about 1:00 P.M., deputies spoke with a resident regarding a trespass on the 1440 Allen Street. He told deputies approximately an hour prior a transient male walked onto his property to fill up a water bottle from a spigot attached to his pump house. He said he confronted the male, and he left. He did not have suspect information, but requested extra patrol in the area.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, June 12, 2020, at approximately 1:59 PM, deputies contacted MELINDA WILTSHIRE, 31, on the 2600 block of NW Highland Drive in Corvallis. Wiltshire had a confirmed misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. Deputies completed and issued WILTSHIRE a criminal citation with a court date in lieu of custody for the warrant. WARRANT info: Albany Municipal Court, FTC Theft II, $436.00 Bail.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 9, 2020, at approximately 3:00 PM, deputies responded to a report of a non-injury motor vehicle crash on Independence Highway, near Milepost 1. They arrived on scene, and found a green 2016 Toyota Prius stuck on a log adjacent to a private driveway. The driver said he was attempting to turn around and backed over the log.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On June 10, 2020, at around 2:51 p.m., deputies were dispatched to S 5th Street and Orchard Street for a reported two-vehicle crash.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On June 6, 2020, at approximately 4:25 pm, deputies received a report from a resident who reported a black sedan driving back and forth across his property, located on the 7400 block of NE Pettibone Drive. He was concerned due to several nearby burglaries.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 4, 2020, at about 9:10 PM, deputies made a traffic stop on a blue pick up at Kelly Street and 6th Street, in Monroe. Shari Treadway, 41, was arrested for a warrant through Benton County Cuircut Court for FTA, Possesion of Methamphetamine. Shari was issued a criminal citation and court date. WARRANT INFO: Benton County Circuit Court CHARGE: FTA- Possession of Methamphetamine, BAIL: $6000.00.
FELON IN POSS OF RESTRICTED, POSS HEROIN, POSS/MANUF/DEL CONT`L SUB SCH 2, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE - On Monday, June 1, 2020, at 10:30 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 20 near MP 39, Benton County, Oregon. They developed Probable Cause there were drugs inside the vehicle. A search discovered methamphetamine, heroin, and schedule two narcotics. Kristopher Jones, 27, and Nicole Aiello-Dixon, 27, were issued citations for the drugs. Aiello-Dixon was transported to Lincoln County Jail.
THEFT 3 - On June 8, 2020, at about 11:00 a.m., deputies spoke with a resident on the 24500 block of Ervin Road. He ordered a rescue knife for about $20.00 online and never received the package. The delivery company told him it was delivered; he does not believe it was. He needed a theft case number before they would assist him further.
INFO-SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On June 10, 2020, at about 8:00 p.m., deputies responded to the 27700 block of W Ingram Island Road for a report of a damaged boat accessory by an unknown party. The resident told deputies there has been a suspicious vehicle reappearing in the neighborhood that could be associated. No further information available.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On June 8, 2020, at about 2:39 p.m., deputies were dispatched to contact a complainant who was reporting a reckless driving and possible hit and run on Highway 20 near  Independence Highway. Upon arrival, she explained she was driving west bound on NE Highway 20 near Independence Highway when an unknown person driving the opposite direction made an illegal pass in her lane and nearly crashed into her. She said the unknown person driving a blue colored older truck with plywood sides on the truck bed, passed multiple vehicles in a no passing zone, came into her lane of travel forcing her to swerve out of the way. She thought the suspect hit her vehicle; however, they could not find any damage. Deputies were unable to locate the other driver.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, June 7, 2020, at about 6:45 PM, deputies found a vehicle that appeared to have crashed on NW Springhill Drive near NW Buena Vista Road. Car 1 appeared to have left the roadway in the intersection, crashing into the farm field. Car 1 continued about 200 yards before coming to a stop. Both airbags were deployed and the keys were left in the ignition. No drivers were in the area and the vehicle was towed due to damage. Deputies later contacted the driver, who stated he crashed his car about 10:30 PM the night prior trying to avoid a deer.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 VANDALISM - On Friday, June 5, 2020, at about 1:38 pm, deputies were dispatched to contact a resident regarding a private road sign being vandalized on Lookout Drive. He stated he did not purchase the signs, one of his neighbors did. He said the neighbor put the signs up yesterday and have already been spray painted black. The owner of the signs does not want to make a report. He requested extra patrol at night.
WARRANT ARREST - On June 8, 2020, at approximately 10:18, Bishop, Jeffrey Wesley, 41, turned himself into the Benton County Jail. Wesley had a confirmed Benton County Circuit Court warrant for a Parole Violation for unlawful use of a weapon. He was cited and released with a new court date.
RECKLESS DRIVING, ELUDE VEHICLE, ELUDE FOOT - On June 8, 2020, at approximately 1:00 am, deputies attempted to stop Jesse Johnston, 29, for a traffic violation near West Hills and Bailey. Johnston eluded in his vehicle and on foot and was located by a police K9. Deputies transported him to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was cited for elude in a vehicle, elude on foot, reckless driving, speeding and driving while suspended.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 6/7/20, AT APPROXIMATELY 1720, BECKER, DENNIS, 34, WAS BEING BAILED OUT WHEN DEPUTIES LEARNED HE HAD A WARRANT OUT OF LINN CO FOR FTA CONTEMPT, CITE AND RELEASE. LINN CO SENT A COURT DATE AND TIME.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 6/7/20, AT APPROXIMATELY 1550, GILLOOLY, MICHAEL DANIEL, 34, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF JAIL LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH ST BECAUSE HE HAD A WARRANT FOR FTA THEFT 2, BAIL $3,000.00. DEPUTIES SERVED THE WARRANT ON GILLOOLY AND HE WAS GIVEN A COURT DATE AND TIME.
POSS METHAMPHETAMINE, FUGITIVE-OUT OF STATE - On Saturday, June 6, 2020, at about 2:40, deputies initiated a citizen contact with a male in Hyak Park 5000 NW Highway 20. The male identified himself as Lance Gregory Janssen, 53. Deputies learned Janssen had two confirmed extraditable warrants out of California. When deputies began to search Janssen for weapons and means of escape, Janssen admitted to having methamphetamines in his pocket. Deputies located the methamphetamines then transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Friday, June 5, 2020, at about 7:55 A.M., deputies were dispatched to an injury crash at Independence Highway and Ryals Avenue. They arrived and observed two vehicles near the ditch on the west side of Independence. Vehicle 1, a Chevy Silverado, was traveling south on Independence when vehicle 2, a Nissen Frontier, attempted to turn west onto Ryals from Independence when they collided nearly head on.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM, UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Saturday June 6, 2020 at about 10:30 A.M., deputies spoke with a resident by telephone. He told deputies he was staying on the 33000 block of Fircreek Ln. and sometime on June 5th, his iPad was stolen from his vehicle. He said his iPad was stolen off his driver seat. He said he was pinging his iPad and stated it was located on the 300 block of S. 30TH St. Deputies located the iPad at the location. The homeowner stated he and his wife found the iPad in the area of Applegate St. and 27th St. at 5:51 P.M., on June 5. He stated he called the business card that was with the iPad and was waiting to hear back. Nothing was missing from the case the iPad was in. The corner of the case and iPad were damaged. The screen was intact. It appeared someone had thrown the iPad out of a window while the vehicle was in motion. No suspect information.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Saturday, June 6, 2020, at about 7:00 A.M., a resident reported an attempted theft of a vehicle on the 7400 block of Pettibone Dr. At 6:22 A.M., an unknown male wearing a blue top, blue jeans and covering his face exited the passenger side of a blue 4-door vehicle on the property. The male proceeded to walk to the back area of a barn and appeared to try to start a tractor. After failing, the person left in the 4-door vehicle. No suspect information.
DWS MIS, FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE, WARRANT ARREST - On June 6, 2020, at 12:47 AM, deputies stopped Lonnie Larson, 30, on Highway 34 near milepost 2 in Corvallis for no headlight. Larson was taken into custody for Failure to Carry and Present. Larson was Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor. Larson had a confirmed warrant out of Lincoln County for Probation Violation/ Burglary, No Bail. Larson was transported to Lincoln County Jail on the warrant and cited into Linn County Circuit Court for the traffic crimes.
BURGLARY 2, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Friday, June 5, 2020, at approximately 6:10 P.M., deputies were was dispatched to the 7400 block of NE Pettibone Drive for report of a suspicious male seen by security cameras by the property owner who was not on scene. The male was seen on video walking with some type of crowbar or piece of metal towards a locked barn and then running towards the front door of a residence after seeing the security cameras. Entry was made into the residence and the male was not located.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Friday, June 5, 2020, at about 10:20 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress on the 3500 block of Maley Road. Dispatch advised the reporting party had a male in her house, whom she did not know. Deputies searched the property and located a man who said he was Brandon Charles Lease. Lease was arrested for Burglary in the first degree and Criminal Trespass II. While they where at the jail with Lease the jail deputies advised Lease was an AKA for Brandon Sanchez, 27. Sanchez had an unconfirmed Oregon State Parole Board warrant. Lease was housed on the above charges.
DWS MIS - On Thursday, June 4, 2020, at about 1:55 P.M., deputies stopped a green Honda Civic for speeding at Highway 20 near Milepost 39. The driver, Brayan Elena Romero, 21, had an Oregon driver`s license which was suspended misdemeanor. Deputies arrested Brayan for DWS – Misdemeanor, issued him a citation and released him. The passenger had a valid license and drove the vehicle from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, June 4, 2020, at about 10:45 A.M., deputies went to the 600 block of Hill Street to speak with a Shelby Christine Hibbs, 22, regarding a separate case and learned Hibbs had two unconfirmed cite and release warrants: one out of Linn County and the other out of Albany Municipal Court. Deputies issued new court dates and times.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Tuesday, June 2, 2020, around 8:45 P.M., deputies arrived at the 500 block of SW Lookout Drive for a Trespass. The male, who was reported to be riding a bicycle and wearing a dark shirt and helmet, was not located.
WILDLIFE OFFENSE - On Monday, June 1, 2020, around 10:45 P.M., I arrested David Barker, 50, on Highway 20 near milepost 47 for a Benton County Circuit Court warrant on a wildlife offense. A criminal citation was issued.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On Monday, June 1, 2020, at approximately 6:45 P.M., deputies called and spoke with a resident on the 26700 block of Alpine Cutoff Road for a report of broken windows. He said the doors to the residence were still locked and it did not look like anyone made entry. He photos of the glass and it appeared as though only one pane in each door was broken out of a double paned window.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Monday, June 1, 2020, at approximately 5:05 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of North 5th Street for a reported trespass. They arrived and spoke with an employee who said earlier in the morning and again in the afternoon, an older male had been in Monroe and they wanted him trespassed. The male had been bathing in the bathroom and yelling, and snorting loudly. The male had left by the time they arrived. She asked that if the male is located that he be trespassed.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE, CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2, UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE – On June 1, 2020, deputies received a report from a man on the 24000 block of Highway 20, Philomath. He reported the theft of a CB Radio, microphone, and first aid kit from an unlocked vehicle. He was unsure if the theft occurred during a previously reported burglary on May 8, 2020.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, May 29, 2019, at about 2:40 P.M., deputies located two vehicles on the side of the road with hazard lights flashing at Highway 20 / MP 39. They arrested Connor Evan Jensen, 26, for a confirmed Linn County Circuit Court Warrant for FTA - DUII. Conner was issued a citation and released. Warrant Information: Linn County Circuit Court, FTA - DUII, No Bail.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On June 3, 2020, at about 12:50 a.m., deputies were parked running radar at Highway 20 east of Independence Highway when they noticed a car make a dramatic show of slowing down beside and then in front of them. Deputies then pulled onto the highway and were followed by the red Mazda MZ6 that stopped behind them multiple times, attempted to make the same turns, and then made the same driving corrections as they did. Other deputies were able to assist with safely intercepting the vehicle and pulling it over at Highway 20 near Garden Ave. The driver made a show of recording on his phone when they approached the car and was obviously trying to instigate a confrontation with police. He said his driving was because he "knew he was going to get pulled over," which made little sense to them in the scope of his driving. He requested a citation; deputies refused and ended the contact.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Tuesday, June 2, 2020, deputies spoke with a resident concerning her identity being stolen. She said she received a text message asking her to verify a new Lowes account. She said she ignored the message believing it to be fraudulent. On June 2, she received documentation in the mail confirming a new Lowes account, which she did not create. She is now in process of canceling the credit card and is taking steps to protect her identity.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, June 1, 2020, at about 6:15 PM, deputies stopped a car on Main St. near 13th St. for a traffic violation. The driver, WILLIAM ERNEST COCKRELL, 57, had two Felony and three Misdemeanor Warrants out of various agencies. COCKRELL was issued citations on all of the Warrants and was cited and released in the field.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On June 1, 2020, at approximately 7:53am, deputies responded to a two vehicle motor vehicle crash at the 1600 block of SW West Hills Road, Philomath. Vehicle 1 was traveling west on SW West Hills Road. Vehicle 2 was traveling east on SW West Hills Road. Vehicle 1 turned left into a driveway in front of Vehicle 2. Vehicle 2 collided with Vehicle 1. The driver of Vehicle 1 declined medical aid. The driver of Vehicle 2 was driven to Good Samaritan Hospital by an acquaintance. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, May 31, 2020, at about 11:20pm, deputies arrested Edward Ramos, 40, near Highway 20 around milepost 41. Ramos had a confirmed warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, May 30, 2020 at about 11:35 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 20 near milepost 49 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, KENNETH WILLIAM ROWAN, 40, had an outstanding Linn County Circuit Court Warrant for F.T.A.- D.W.S. FELONY. ROWAN was issued a citation and released in the field.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Saturday, May 30, 2020, at about 12:30 P.M., deputies were dispatched to Granger Ave near Pettibone Dr. for a report of a crash. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the driver. He was traveling east on Granger Ave, lost control of his 2005 Ford F150 and crashed into a field near Pettibone Dr. There was minor vehicle damage and no property damage.
THEFT 1 - On Saturday, May 30, 2020, at about 10:15 A.M., deputies spoke with a resident on the telephone regarding a possible fraud. She told deputies she received an email from who she believed was her pastor. The email asked her to send Ebay gift cards to help a family in need. She said she bought $1,600.00 in gift cards and sent pictures of the cards back to the email address. She did not have any suspect information and was already working with her bank to cancel the funds.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 VANDALISM - On Saturday May 30, 2020, at about 8:30 A.M., deputies were dispatched to Highway 99W and Vandenberg Ave for an attempted unlawful entry of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, they spoke with the owner regarding her 2011 Mazda, which sustained damage to the front passenger door, window and mirror. No one was able to gain entry into the vehicle.
WARRANT ARREST - On May 29, 2020 at about 9:58 pm, deputies contacted David Ray Blymiller, 30, on Avery near 3rd St. Blymiller had a confirmed no bail Benton County Warrant for Probation Violation. Deputies arrested Blymiller and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, May 29, 2020, at about 12:20 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a crash on Highway 99W near milepost 92. They arrived and learned Vehicle 1, a 2008 Chevy Malibu, was attempting to turn north on to Highway 99W when his driver side rear quarter panel was struck by Vehicle 2, a semi-truck and trailer. The Chevy was towed and the truck was left at the scene to be towed by the registered owner.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On May 28, 2020, at 5:54 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 25600 block of Dawson Road in Monroe for a Criminal Trespass II complaint. Michael Holt, 41, went onto private property without permission to fly a drone. The property was mostly fenced and there was a clearly posted, "No Trespassing" sign. Holt said he was a photographer for a magazine and went on the property to photograph a neighboring marijuana grow. Holt was issued a citation for Criminal Trespass II.
DELIVER METH, VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE - On Monday, May 25, 2020, at 12:50am, deputies stopped Gregory Gaboriault, 41, and Nicole Cotto, 45, on Highway 20 near Highway 223. They arrested Gregory for violating a court protective order, unlawful possession and delivery of methamphetamine. Deputies issued Cotto citations for unlawful possession and delivery of methamphetamine.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday May 24, 2020, at about 11:30 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 34 near milepost #1 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, WHITNEY VIRGINIA BOGART, 28, had an outstanding Warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for F.T.A.- LARCENY. BOGART was issued a citation in the field and released.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, May 28, 2020, at about 8:15 A.M., deputies were dispatched to an injury crash at 99W near milepost 90. Deputies arrived and observed three involved vehicles. None of the vehicle operators were seriously injured. Two vehicles were towed.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at approximately 5:17 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W and Adair Frontage Road for report of a multi-vehicle crash. They arrived and found driver 1 had braked to avoid a slowing vehicle in front of her, which caused her to crash into the back of driver 2. There was moderate front-end damage to driver 1’s vehicle, but both vehicles were still operable.
PAROLE VIOLATION - On May 27, 2020 at about 4:45 p.m., deputies responded to P&P at 180 NW 5th Street and arrested Allen Holdorf, 31, for a Parole Violation. He was lodged at Benton County Jail.
FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT - On May 27, 2020, deputies were contacted by Robert McDaniel, 33, at the Sheriff`s Office. McDaniel had several warrants out of Linn County and City of Albany. McDaniel was issued criminal citations for Linn County Circuit Court for Failure to appear- PCS meth, Failure to appear-Theft III, and Attempt to elude and criminal citations for Albany Municipal Court for Theft II and Criminal mischief.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On May 26, 2020, deputies received a report of disorderly conduct that occurred at a residence, located on the 800 block of Commercial St., Monroe. The caller told deputies her neighbor`s son had been yelling and threatening her and her roommates. He was trespassed from the residence.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at about 2:20am, deputies were on patrol in the area of NW Hwy 99W and NW Lewisburg Rd, Benton County, Oregon, when they spotted two males behind the Chevron gas station and arrested Ronald Andrew Mowdy, 26, on a warrant out of Philomath Municipal Court.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On May 25, 2020 at about 6:30 p.m., deputies located a UHAUL pickup stuck in the mud and blackberry bushes at the west end of Coffin Butte Road. UHAUL was contacted and will tow it out of the field.
WARRANT ARREST - On May 24, 2020, at about 10:40 PM, deputies stopped Tylor Setzer, 28, for a traffic violation. Tylor was subsequently arrested for an outstanding Parole Violation warrant out of Linn County.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, May 24, 2020, deputies located Shawn Evan Newport, 52, at the Blodgett Community Church while he was mowing the grass. They arrested Shawn for two confirmed warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court for PCS - Methamphetamine. Shawn was issued a citation for both warrants and released.
DWS MIS - On Sunday, May 24, 2020, at about 9:00 A.M., deputies initiated a traffic stop with a black Lincoln MKC with a temporary registration for violation of the basic rule. They identified the driver as Ruben Juan Mosqueda, 26. Dispatch informed Mosqueda’s driver’s license was suspended-misdemeanor. Deputies arrested Mosqueda and issued him a criminal citation, as well as a traffic violation citation.
DUII DRUGS - On Sunday, May 24, 2020, at 12:33 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of SW 3rd St and SE Alexander Ave, Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon. They conducted a DUII investigation on the driver. Ronald J Brown, 30, was arrested for DUII (drugs). He was cited and released from Philomath Police Department.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Saturday, May 23, 2020, at about 2:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to a traffic crash on Highway 20 and NE Granger Avenue, near Corvallis. They arrived and found Vehicle 1, a Kawasaki Motorcycle, had been hit by Car 2, a Honda Civic. Vehicle 1 was making a left turn to proceed east on Highway 20 from NE Granger Avenue. During Vehicle 1’s turn, Car 2 was traveling west on Highway 20, inevitably striking Vehicle 1. The rider of the Vehicle 1 was thrown from the motorcycle and rolled into the Car 2’s windshield before landing on the ground. The rider of Vehicle 1 was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for injuries.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On Friday, May 22, 2020, at about 11:20pm, deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of NW Harman Lane, Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon, for a person screaming from a vehicle. Upon arrival they found a vehicle matching the description with a male and female occupant who claimed to be making out. No one was injured or needed assistance.
DWS MIS - On Friday, May 22, 2020, at about 3:15 P.M., deputies were driving on 3rd Street near Crystal Lake Avenue when they noticed a Black Kia Sportage with expired registration. They initiated a traffic stop with the Kia on 3rd Street near Adams Avenue. When they were getting out of their vehicle, the driver exited the Kia and deputies identified him as Rebel Lee Tester, 32. Deputies have had numerous interactions with Tester and knew he was driving with a suspended driver license. Deputies arrested Tester and issued him a criminal citation for DWS-Misdemeanor.
BURGLARY 2 - On Friday, May 22, 2020, at about 7:50 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a cold burglary at the 31000 block of Bellfountain Road. They spoke with the homeowner on the telephone and he told said someone went into his barn and took two sets of six-point elk horns. He said his barn was unlocked and nothing was damaged. He continued and said he did not have a value on the Elk horns, but wanted to report it in case he sees someone trying to sell them on the internet. He did not have any suspect information.
DWS MIS - On Friday, May 22, 2020 at about 7:00 am, deputies were dispatched to the 37000 block of Soap Creek Rd for a suspicious vehicle in the driveway of the residence. There was a male sleeping in the vehicle unknown to the homeowner. Christopher R Smith, 36, was arrest for driving while suspended.
POSS/MANUF/DEL CONT`L SUB SCH 1, WARRANT ARREST, FEL DELIVER METH, POSS METHAMPHETAMINE - On May 22, 2020, at 12:21 AM, deputies stopped Michael Hogan, 53, on Highway 99W near Bruce Road for speeding. Hogan had a confirmed warrant out of Lane County for Failure Appear. Deputies took Hogan into custody on the warrant. During a search of Hogan`s person, they located Methamphetamine, $4,120.00 cash and packaging material. During a search of the vehicle, a substantial amount of Psilocin Mushrooms and Methamphetamine was located. Additional packaging material and a digital scale were located as well. Hogan was charged with Commercial Drug Delivery. The front seat passenger, Timothy Emra, 43, had $1,110.00 cash and Methamphetamine on his person. Emra was charged with Unlawful Possession and Delivery of Methamphetamine. Emra was transported to Lane County Jail on a Parole Violation Detainer.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING, RECKLESS DRIVING - On Thursday, May 21, 2020, at approximately 4:59 P.M., deputies arrested MICHAEL PAUL PRANTSEVICH, 18, for reckless driving after he passed multiple vehicles at 112MPH in a 55MPH zone at Highway 20 and milepost 39 in the opposite travel lanes, in a no passing zone in his 2016 Black Honda Accord. Deputies charged MICHAEL with Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering, and issued him multiple citations for traffic violations.
THEFT 1 - On Thursday, May 21, 2020 at about 9:55 am, deputies were dispatched to contact a resident regarding the theft of a canoe and kayak on the 28000 block of E Ingram Island Rd in Monroe. No suspect information at this time.
HARASSMENT - On Saturday, May 16, 2020, at about 7:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to a harassment complaint on the 7700 block of NW Skillings Drive, near Corvallis. They called and spoke to Sean Olufson, 45, regarding his complaint with the other party. Sean was arrested on 5/16/2020 for Telephonic Harassment and issued a criminal citation. Sean was additionally arrested for five counts of Telephonic Harassment on 5/17/2020 and was issued an additional criminal citation.
THEFT 1, IDENTITY THEFT, FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD - On May 5, 2020 at about 10:20 p.m., deputies responded to the 26000 block of Holiday Lane for a report of Identity Theft, Theft I, and Fraudulant Use of a Credit Card. Han Ozdenak, 36, was arrested, cited and released for the crimes.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY – On May 19, 2020, Vehicle #1 was driving north on Highway 99 near Greenberry Road. Vehicle #1 drifted out of the lane of travel and off the shoulder into a ditch. Vehicle #1 collided with a driveway leading into a field. The driver of Vehicle #1 was removed from the vehicle by medics and had injuries to her legs. The driver was transported by Corvallis Fire Medics to Good Samaritan Hospital.
THEFT 1 - On Friday, May 15, 2020, at about 11:30 am, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Fairgrounds for a theft report. The theft was of two boat motors from a boat in the storage lot. The two motors were 18-horse Evenrude fast twin motors. No suspect information at this time.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE(S) - On May 19, 2020, at about 7:10 p.m., deputies I responded to the 30000 block of Bellfountain Rd for a male flagging down passing cars. Deputies arrived and contacted four continuous travelers and a van with a bad alternator. They were not a hazard and were working on getting it moved.
BURGLARY 1, THEFT 2 - On May 18, 2020, at about 5:15 p.m., deputies took a report of a burglary of a residence on the 5100 block of NW Highway 99W. There was forced entry to the front door. Stolen was a Native American tribal print blanket, a bag of quarters and some movies.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On May 18, 2020, at around 12:50 p.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at NW Highway 20 and NW Independence Hwy.
WILDLIFE OFFENSE - On May 17, 2020, at about 6:30 p.m., deputies I spoke with a resident on the 33000 block of Brightstar Lane regarding hunters on the property to the east of her residence. It was determined to be a misunderstanding regarding property ownership. No crime.
DUII DRUGS, FAIL TO APPEAR-BENCH WARRANT - On May 17, 2020, at around 1:20am, near SW Tunison Ave and SW 3rd Street, Corvallis, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a silver 2004 Volvo S60 driving with one headlight. The driver, identified as Andrew Pondelick, 24, was arrested and transported to the Law Enforcement Center. Pondelick was criminally cited for DUII-Drugs and Failure to appear-Burglary II, and cited for Operating a vehicle without required lighting.
THEFT 1 DECEPTION - On Saturday, May 16, 2020 at around 8:30 PM, deputies spoke with a man about someone possible scamming his 91-year-old mother. He said his mother sent someone $2000.00 to receive prize money. On May 17, at around 3:30 PM, deputies spoke with her at her residence about the incident. Deputies explained to the woman this was a scam and not to send the male that identified himself as David Freeman, any more money. Deputies gave her documentation they found on the phone number and a person identified as David Freeman showing her it was a scam. She said she would not give the man any more money and attempt to get her $2000.00 check canceled at the Post Office the next morning.
THEFT 3 LOST/MISLAID PROP, CRIMINAL POSS OF FORGERY DEVICE, POSS HEROIN (MISD), UNLAW POSS PERSONAL ID DEVICE - On Saturday, May 9, 2020, at about 5:45pm, deputies were dispatched to the 23000 block of Garrett Ln, Philomath, Benton County, Oregon, regarding a mail theft. On the way to the location, deputies spotted the vehicle on Philomath Blvd, by 53rd Street, matching the description given by the caller. Cammi Nicole Graham, 36, was arrested for Possession of Heroin and Theft of Loss, Mislaid Property. James Gordan Wheeler Jr., 46, was arrested for Operating a Vehicle without Driving Privileges, Unlawful Possession of a Personal ID Device, and Criminal Possession of a Forgery Device.
