Listed below are recent incidents responded to by the Benton County Sheriff's Office. This report does not reflect all Sheriff's Office activities and is updated as time and personnel allows.

THEFT 3; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On October 25, 2021, at around 9:00 am, deputies were dispatched to the 2510 block of Webster Ave, for a report of theft and criminal mischief. The resident reported the previous night, an unknown person(s) stole two cans of soup she was using to prop up the hood on her 2006 Toyota Prius. The theft went unnoticed and as she was driving, the Prius’ hood flew up and destroyed the windshield. The windshield is valued at around $500. No current suspects.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 24, 2021, at around 2:03pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on NW Springhill Dr, near Milepost 3. Vehicle 1 was traveling west in a 2007 Pontiac G6, drove off the roadway and crashed into a power pole. Vehicle 2, also driving west, in a 2008 Volkswagon Passat, crashed into debris and drove off of the roadway. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene. The driver of vehicle 1 was issue citations for Careless Driving and Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device
VIOL RESTRAINING ORDER - On Friday, October 22, 2021 at 8:05 AM, deputies arrested TONIE ATHILL, 33, for the Violation of a Restraining Order (Contempt).
FELON IN POSS OF RESTRICTED WEAPON; WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 3:21 PM, deputies contacted and arrested JACOB MYERS, 26, for multiple outstanding misdemeanor warrants on SW Deon Drive near SW Western Boulevard in Corvallis. MYERS, a convicted felon, was also found to be in possession of a spring-assisted folding knife. MYERS was cited and released on his warrants at the direction of the Benton County Jail. MYERS was also issued a criminal citation for the crime of Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1; ESCAPE 3; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE; WARRANT ARREST; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; ELUDE FOOT - On Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 9:12 AM, deputies saw JORDAN DEAVILA, 18, who had an outstanding felony warrant, in the driver`s seat of a red hatchback parked on the street in front of the 2000 block of NW Garfield Avenue in Corvallis. DEAVILA eluded when they attempted to stop him, eventually damaging and abandoning the vehicle as he fled on foot. DEAVILA`S car was towed after a K9 track failed to locate him. Later that morning, deputies saw DEAVILA run from the video poker lounge at the former Izzy`s Pizza and chased him on foot. DEAVILA was apprehended nearby. DEAVILA was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked on his warrant and charged with Elude - Vehicle, Elude - Foot, Reckless Driving, Recklessly Endangering, Criminal Trespass I, Criminal Trespass II, Escape III, and Interfering with a Peace Officer
WARRANT ARREST - On 10/17/2021 at approximately 9:18 pm, deputies responded to a disturbance in Monroe. Subsequent investigation determined there was no crime or argument. Malik Crowell, 19, was located during the course of the investigation. Crowell was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant. Crowell was issued a citation in lieu of custody for failure to appear on assault III charges.
UNLAWFUL MANU OF MARIJUANA ITEM (> 12 PLANTS); CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY C FEL; DELIVER MARIJUANA PRODUCT; POSS MARIJ OVER 21 (CFEL) - On September 7, 2021, deputies began investigating illegal indoor marijuana grows located in the 6100 block of Springhill Drive and 39200 block of Jeffrey Road. On October 14, 2021, BCSO served search warrants at both locations and arrested: KWOK SUI NG, 53; HAIMING ZHAN, 51; MIN DUT LEE, 63; and MAN FIUE F YAN, 63. All four were cited and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 23, 2021, at 3:10 PM, deputies stopped James McComas, 31, of Eugene, on 5th Street near Depot Street in Monroe for no front license plate. McComas was driving while suspended and driving uninsured. McComas was cited into Monroe Municipal Court for the traffic violations. McComas was arrested on 2 Felony Lane County Warrants and transported to the Lane County Jail. McComas was additionally cited on a Clatstop Misdemeanor Warrant.
VIOL RESTRAINING ORDER - On Friday, October 22, 2021, at about 5:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a possible no-contact order violation in the 24200 block of Old Peak Road. Deputies later arrested Charles Harold Mellick, 31, for violating a no-contact order.
COMPUTER CRIME - On Friday, October 22, 2021 at 2:40 PM, a resident of the 1000 block of NW Alder Creek Drive in Corvallis reported suspicious activity involving a vehicle he listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace. An unknown male suspect sent him a total of $8,000 via wire transfer which ended up being stolen from a victim in New Zealand. His bank was able to facilitate the return of the funds from his account to the victim.
SEARCH AND RESCUE - On October 21, 2021 at approximately 8:00 PM, deputies responded to the Dunn Forest 100 Gate to assist in a search for a missing person. A Salem resident called a friend stating he was lost and unable to find his way back to the gate, where he was parked. The missing person was able to send a GPS location to his friend. Deputies drove and hiked to the area of the GPS location and located the man on the 78V road approximately 3/4 mile past the end of the 150 road. He was cold and wet, but was able to walk with deputies back to their patrol vehicle.
ASSAULT 4; RESISTING ARREST; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Thursday, October 21, 2021, at about 6:20 pm, deputies were dispatched to a disturbance in the 26000 block of Llewellyn Road. They later arrested Mitchell Eugene Pyron, 23, for Assault IV, Disorderly Conduct II, and Resisting Arrest. Pyron was transported to the Benton County Jail and lodged.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 21, 2021, deputies arrested TYLER THORN HOSKINSON, 25, on two confirmed Linn County warrants after a traffic stop on 15th Street near E Avenue.
THEFT 2 SHOPLIFT - On October 20, 2021, two white male adults stole two NEBO brand emergency light kits from the Alsea Mercantile. The emergency light kits were valued at 119.99 each.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 16, 2021, deputies responded to a crash in the 6900 block of Oak Creek Drive. The driver was traveling west bound on Oak Creek. She fell asleep while driving, left the roadway, hit a guy wire, a sign and then struck a vehicle that was parked in a driveway. The parked vehicle struck another vehicle that was parked next to it. She was not injured.
POSS METH (MISD - 2 GRAMS OR MORE); WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 1:43 PM, deputies stopped and arrested DUSTY RISLAND, 33, for a confirmed, outstanding misdemeanor warrant while he was walking in the area of SE Debord Street and SE Alexander Avenue in Corvallis. RISLAND was also found to be in possession of over five grams of Methamphetamine. RISLAND was cited and released on his warrant at the direction of the Benton County Jail. RISLAND was also issued a criminal citation with a court date in lieu of custody for the crime of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Misdemeanor).
VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT - On October 1, 2021 at about 4:35 pm, deputies responded to the 21400 block of Hwy 20, Blodgett. Dustin Whinnery, 24, was violating a No Contact Order
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On October 19, 2021, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20 near MP 8 for a traffic hazard. A brown, 1995 Subaru was parked with the driver side tires on the fog line. Deputies called the available number for the registered owner and the call was answered with “the number you dialed is not in service.” The car was towed from the roadway.
THEFT 2 - On October 19, 2021, a resident reported a check was stolen from his mail and cashed. No suspects at this time.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 10/19/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 11:45 AM, JAYDEN RENEE HARRINGTON, 22, OF BEEBE, AR, TURNED HERSELF INTO THE JAIL ON A WARRANT FOR FTA ASSAULT IV, BAIL $50k. HARRINGTON WAS CITED AND RELEASED WITH A NEW COURT DATE.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On October 19, 2021, Vehicle #1 was driving east on Highway 20 near Milepost 5. Vehicle #2 was pulling out of a driveway and turning west onto Highway 20. Vehicle #1 did not see vehicle #2 and did not slow down. Vehicle #1 attempted to avoid colliding with Vehicle #1, but collided with the rear trailer of Vehicle #1, then drove off the road, colliding with a wooden utility pole on the east side of the highway. The driver of vehicle #1 was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. Vehicle #1 was towed from the scene.
FOUND PROPERTY - On October 18, 2021, deputies were outside the Sheriff`s Office when a transient female handed me them a wallet. The female declined to identify herself and told deputies the wallet was found in an alley. There was an OR identification card and various other store cards. The wallet was placed into evidence as found property.
THEFT 1; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1 - On October 18, 2021, deputies responded to the Waldorf School for a reported theft of a utility trailer and damage to a vehicle. A black 8x10 utility trailer was stolen and the license plate left behind and a white Chevy pickup had two windows broken out
WARRANT ARREST - ON 10/13/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 2:30 PM, DEPUTIES WERE PREPARING RELEASE FILES FOR JOHNATHAN SMITH, 31, AND LEARNED HE HAD A WARRANT OUT OF ALBANY MUNI COURT FOR FTA POSS RESTRICTED WEAPON. THE WARRANT WAS SERVED ON SMITH PRIOR TO HIS RELEASE.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 10/14/21, Perreard, Darren D, 51, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail on an FTA Theft II warrant out of Benton Co Circuit court. Deputies issued him a new court date.
FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On October 14, 2021, deputies were dispatched to SW 53rd and Reservoir Road for a non-injury traffic crash. A white Chevy truck had stopped for the traffic light on Reservoir Road. When a large semi-truck and trailer turned from SW 53rd onto Reservoir Road, the Chevy truck backed up to give the semi more room to make the wide turn. In the process of backing up, the Chevy backed into a Tesla that was also in the turn lane.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 10-13-21, Hickman, James, 59, turned himself in at the Benton Co Jail on a Benton Co warrant for FTA fail to report. Deputies issued him a new court date.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER - On October 2, 2021 at about 10:24 am, deputies were dispatched to a hit and run where Adrian Perez, 29, drove off the road headed southbound toward Corvallis from Albany. After the Perez left the roadway, he struck a power pole, sheering it off at the bottom.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 10/01/21, Sandoval, Michael, 66, turned himself in at the Benton Co Jail for a FTA warrant. Sandoval was issued a new court date.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT- On September 30, 2021, Jose Perez, 32, turned himself into the Benton County Jail on a warrant. A new court date and time was issued in lieu of custody.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII DRUGS; RECKLESS DRIVING; DWS MIS - On October 17, 2021 at about 11:30 a.m., deputies responded to Ireland Way off of Highway 34 for a reported reckless driver. They arrived and arrested Donald Spencer Ray Hendershot Jr, 48, for DUII, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering and DWS-Misdemeanor.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 4:20 PM, deputies stopped a maroon Honda Accord for a traffic violation on Harrison Boulevard near 5th Street in Corvallis. They cited the driver for Driving While Suspended (Violation) and cited and released the passenger, ELIJAH WILLIAMS, 38, for a confirmed misdemeanor warrant which he had for his arrest.
DWS MIS - On October 16, 2021, at around 3:00 pm, deputies observed a 2006 Cadillac STS parked along Coffin Butte Rd, near Highway 99W. The driver, identified as Enrique Resendiz-Ramirez, 32, of Salem, was later arrested and issued a criminal citation for Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor and citations for Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device and Driving Uninsured.
DWS MIS; WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:03 PM, deputies stopped a silver Hyundai Elantra sedan on Alpine Road near Alpine Cutoff Road for a traffic violation. They cited and released the driver, RUEBEN GARIBAY, 26, of Salem, for the crime of Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor) and multiple confirmed misdemeanor warrants. GARIBAY was also cited for Driving Uninsured. GARIBAY`S passenger had a valid driver’s license and was allowed to drive the vehicle.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On October 15, 2021, a car struck a Pacific Power utility truck from behind as it braked on Highway 20 at Garden Avenue.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On Friday, October 15, 2021, at about 8:21 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Crescent Valley High School for a reported intoxicated male sitting on the fog line of the road. Deputies located a male on Highland Dr. adjacent to the active football game. A Corvallis PD Officer provided him with a courtesy ride to St Mary`s Church in Corvallis.
DWS MIS - On October 15, 2021, at 11:52 AM, deputies stopped Alexander Nykoma Pfliger-Youngbird, 25, of Bend, on Main Street near 7th Street in Monroe for no front license plate. Pfliger-Youngbird was cited for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 15, 2021 at around 3:06 AM, deputies were dispatched to assist Linn County Sheriff`s Office with a theft in the 33500 block after a farmer located two transients on his property stealing hemp. They located one of the individuals identified as Oren Hounchell, 41, who had four warrants and was in possession of less than two grams of methamphetamine. The farmer did not wish to press charges but wanted the man trespassed from his property. Hounchell was issued citations in lieu of custody for his warrants and for the methamphetamine. Hounchell was trespassed from the property.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On October 14, 2021, at about 1:27 p.m., a male was trespassing in the 1500 block of SW Allen, Corvallis. Deputies warned him about cutting through the property.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On October 14, 2021, deputies spoke with a resident about suspicious people and vehicle near his home. He advised he would be putting up gates and security cameras.
DUII; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at about 11:15 pm, deputies saw a red 2009 Toyota Corolla traveling south on Highway 99, near milepost 94, at 71 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. They later arrested the driver, Sam Waheed Bonifas, 41, of Eugene, for DUII and Reckless Driving.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at about 1:30 pm, deputies were contacted by a business, whom received information a vehicle went off the roadway, on their property. Deputies contacted two males attempting to get the vehicle back on the roadway using a block and tackle, and another vehicle. Both males were cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.
THEFT 1 - On October 13, 2021, the facilities manager at the Suburban Christian Church reported the theft of a catalytic converter from the church’s motorhome. The theft was initially discovered the week prior.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, October 11, 2021 at 3:51 PM, deputies stopped a green Ford Aerostar minivan on Circle Boulevard near Belvue Street in Corvallis after recognizing the driver, RANDALL SNYDER, 68, who had suspended driving privileges and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. SNYDER was cited for Driving While Suspended (Violation) and cited and released with a court date on his warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, October 11, 2021 at 1:59 PM, deputies stopped and arrested MICHAEL ELGIN, 30, for multiple outstanding confirmed felony and misdemeanor warrants as he was walking on the railroad tracks near NW Buchanan Avenue and NW 5th Street in Corvallis. ELGIN was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his warrants. ELGIN was also warned for committing the crime of Trespass I.
HARASSMENT PHONE - On Monday, October 11, 2021 at 12:21 PM, a resident in the 24400 block of Settlers Lane reported they had been receiving threatening phone calls from a female. The resident was advised to block the phone numbers the calls originated from and inform their attorney of the conduct to see if it violated the conditions of an order they have.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On Monday, October 11, 2021 at 8:49 AM, deputies were dispatched to Priest Road and Highway 20 for a suspicious vehicle. A Jeep Wrangler had been parked overnight at a gate near that location. They SUV experienced electrical issues, which led to the driver breaking down and having to spend the night in his vehicle. Passersby stopped and gave him a jump.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 11, 2021 at around 12:40 AM, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a white, 2006, Chrysler 300, operated by Jason Haynes, 37. Haynes had a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear on a felon in possession of a restricted weapon charge out of Marion County Circuit Court. Haynes was additionally suspended violation, and was unable to provide proof of insurance. Haynes was issued citations for the violations and issued a citation in lieu of custody for his warrant.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at approximately 4:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of West Hills Road and Wyatt Lane for report of a single vehicle crash. They arrived and found a female had crashed her 2004 Toyota Camry while negotiating a curve, causing moderate damage to her vehicle. Her vehicle was towed from the scene due to damage.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 8, 2021 at around 2:43 AM, deputies responded to the area of HWY 20 and Scenic for a traffic crash. The caller reported he fell asleep at the wheel and went off the roadway. Deputies arrived on scene and had the vehicle towed. The vehicle damaged a pasture fence; deputies assisted the home owners with repairing the fence so cows did not escape.
HINDER PROSECUTION; WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 2:38 PM, deputies stopped a spray-painted black Dodge Caravan (minivan) for multiple traffic violations on Walnut Boulevard near 9th Street in Corvallis. The passenger, TAYLOR HARLOW, 22, switched places with the male driver before the vehicle fully came to a stop. Deputies ultimately arrested HARLOW for Hindering Prosecution after they determined she harbored, concealed, assisted, and lied for the original driver, JUSTIN HILL, 34, who had multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants for his arrest. HILL was also arrested after deputies found him hiding in the back of the minivan under a blanket. HARLOW was cited and released for her crime and HILL was transported to the Linn County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his warrants.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 23, 2021 at about 1:31 pm, deputies responded to Hwy 20 and Granger Road for a crash. A red Subaru Outback pulled out in front of a grey Hyundai Elantra. There were no injuries reported and both vehicles were towed.
WARRANT ARREST - On October 13, 2021, deputies responded to the 25700 block of Cherry Creek Road in Monroe for a report of a disturbance. No crimes were committed, but DAWSON JAMES EDWARDS-KING, 25, had a confirmed outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Benton County for FTA Criminal Mischief II. Deputies issued him a citation in lieu of custody for the warrant.
DOG AS PUBLIC NUISANCE - On October 12, 2021, at around 8:07 am, deputies were dispatched to the 7100 block of NE Vandenberg Ave for a reported dog complaint. The resident reported a dog ran up to her leashed dog and attacked it, causing two wounds to its throat. She reported the dog owner has been warned several times about walking his unleashed dog on ODFW property.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On Thursday, October 7, 2021, at about 4:15 pm, deputies were contacted by a school bus driver. She told deputies a blue Ford pickup truck, had driven though her bus’s stop sign while she was driving her drop-off route on Bellfountain Road near Water Lane at about 3:30 pm. Deputies later identified and arrested the driver of the truck, Jesus Alonso Cruz Meza, 30, for reckless driving. Cruz Mesa was cited and released.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On October 11, 2021, around 4:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of 8th Street, Monroe, for a reported criminal mischief. The caller reported two gates on her fence line had been damaged over the weekend. She estimated the damages to be $40; there is no suspect information at this time
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday October 11, 2021 at about 12:50 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Philomath Blvd near 15th St. for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the passenger, JEFFREY JOHN CHARLES, 45, had five outstanding warrants, four from Benton County Circuit Court. CHARLES was issued citations on all of his Warrants and released in the field.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday October 11, 2021 at about 12:10 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on 3rd near Twin Oaks Circle for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, AARON MICHAEL CLEVELAND, 42, had an outstanding Warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. CLEVELAND was issued a citation in the field and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday October 10, 2021 at about 11:50 PM, deputies stopped a pick-up truck on Highway 34 at the Highway 34 Bypass for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised one of the passengers, FRANK JAMES BEZUK, 49, of Lebanon, had a Felony Linn County Circuit Court for Probation Violation. BEZUK was issued a citation in the field and released.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 2:08 PM, I saw CHRISTIAN COLACI, 29, walking near SE Alexander and SE Debord Street. COLACI had multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants. COLACI was arrested and transported to the Linn County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his warrants
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Thursday, October 7, 2021, at about 5:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to investigate a possible burglary in the 30800 block of Bellfountain Road. The property owner reported that while he was away for the weekend someone moved his wood chipper and entered his barn through a gap in a locked sliding door. He said nothing appeared to be missing from the property.
BURGLARY 1 - On October 7, 2021, deputies responded to the 2900 block of SW 53rd St, Corvallis for a reported burglary. Two doors were forced open. At the time of the call no items were known to be stolen.
WARRANT ARREST - On 10/03/2021 at approximately 11:15 pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 9th Street and Garfield Avenue in Corvallis. They learned Paul Bonnen, 32, had an active warrant for his arrest. Deputies issued Bonnen a citation in lieu of custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 2:10 PM, deputies stopped a silver Toyota Celica coupe on NW Sequoia Avenue near NW 9th Street in Corvallis. The driver, OSCAR RAMIREZ, 18, was cited and released on a confirmed outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. RAMIREZ was also cited for Driving While Suspended (Violation) and Driving Uninsured.
DWS MIS - On 10/03/2021 at approximately 4:08 am, deputies were dispatched a suspicious circumstance call in the 27100 block of Old River Rd. They contacted Jeramy Ball, 44, of Eugene, in the area, who had run out of gas in a private driveway. Ball`s driving privileges are suspended at the misdemeanor level in Oregon. Deputies issued Ball a citation in lieu of custody for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 10/03/2021 at approximately 1:40 am, deputies responded to a non-injury crash on Highland Drive. They contacted an adult female who was seated in the vehicle, blocking the southbound lane of travel. The vehicle was missing the front right tire and wheel. Deputies contacted a tow company who removed the vehicle from the roadway. The female driver was not injured during the crash.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On October 2, 2021 around 9:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to 360 Avery Street for a vehicle break in that occurred at the Benton County Public Works Office. The caller reported her vehicle was broken into during the Beaver football game, and items were missing from her vehicle. An Apple Macbook Air was taken from her vehicle that was in a grey laptop bag. The suspect was a male wearing darker clothing, pulling a yellow bicycle trailer.
ASSAULT 4 - On September 15, 2021 at about 4:25 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 25300 block of Alsea Deadwood Hwy, Alsea, for a report of an Assault. They arrived and contacted a resident who said me he had been grabbed and pushed by a male that was on his property with a male named, "CODY." Deputies weren’t able to locate the male.
DUII - On Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at approximately 7:10 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 5800 block of NW 99W for a possible DUII driver. They spoke with Jay Rodney Faulconer, 62, who told them he drove there from his home. Deputies Faulconer was cited for DUII.
ASSAULT 4 - MIS ATTEMPTED - On October 8, 2021, deputies went to the 26400 block of Alpine Cutoff Road for a report of a trespass and arrested Christopher Engle, 39, for Attempted Assault IV and Menacing. He was lodged at Benton County Jail.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On October 10, 2021, Tyson Mathew Smith, 38, turned himself into the Benton County Jail on a warrant for Contempt of Court. Smith signed a release agreement, was given a new court date, and released.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 RESULT CRIMINAL ACT - On October 10, 2021, at 12:46 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 24800 block of Decker Road in Corvallis for a Criminal Mischief. The resident reported sometime the previous night, an unknown person destroyed her mailbox and the post for the mailbox. There are no suspect leads.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 VANDALISM - On Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 12:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to contact a resident in the 29900 block of Beaver Creek Road by phone regarding vandalism. He reported that between the hours of 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM, someone hit his mailbox at the end of his driveway with a vehicle and pushed it over. It was the second time in a week his mailbox has been vandalized. This time his mailbox was not damaged or destroyed and he would be able to fix the post.
THEFT 3; FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD; IDENTITY THEFT; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On October 10, 2021, at around 8:39 am, deputies were dispatched to the 1500 block of SW Allen St for a reported Criminal Trespass. Trevor Jones, 47, was located at a group of tents near Pioneer Park. Jones was arrested and later issued criminal citations for Criminal Trespass 2, Identity Theft, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, and Possession of Lost/Mislaid Property.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 VANDALISM - On Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 8:48 AM, deputies were dispatched to contact a resident in the 25000 block of Decker Road by phone regarding vandalism. He reported that between the hours of 12:30 AM and 1:00 AM that day, someone hit his mailbox at the end of his driveway with a vehicle and pushed it over. His mailbox was not damaged or destroyed and he was able to put it back up. There was no suspect information.
RECKLESS DRIVING - On October 9, 2021, at 4:01 PM, deputies were dispatched to West Hills Road near North 9th Street in Philomath regarding two vehicles drag-racing. They located vehicles matching the description parked in the 1100 block of North 9th Street and contacted two males. They said they were testing out their vehicles and admitted to passing someone in a passing area. They were advised to stop driving the way they were.
MAIL THEFT - On October 9, 2021, at around 10:25 am, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of W Main St, Alsea, for a reported theft. The resident requested contact by phone and reported a missing package that was allegedly delivered by the USPS on October 1. The package contained workout clothes and was valued at $184. No current suspects.
ASSAULT 4 MIS - On October 8, 2021, deputies went to the 26400 block of Alpine Cutoff Road for a report of a trespass. They arrested Christopher Engle, 39, for Attempted Assault IV and Menacing. He was lodged at Benton County Jail.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 VANDALISM - On Friday, October 8, 2021 at 8:16 AM, a resident in the 29900 block of Beaver Creek Road reported that someone intentionally destroyed his mailbox with a vehicle sometime between 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM the day prior. He observed at least four or five other mailboxes in the area which had also been hit, along with numerous trash cans. There is no suspect information.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On October 8, 2021 at about 5:35 A.M., a man reported a Hit and Run at Alpine Road and Nichols Road. Deputies later determined that an eastbound truck and low boy trailer likely unknowingly side-swiped his vehicle, causing damage likely in excess of $2500.00. The truck driver stated he did not realize this happened. Deputies completed a crash report and sent both drivers a crash insurance form to complete and submit.
BURGLARY 2; UUV; FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On October 8, 2021, deputies arrested EVANDER RUSTY WHITEDIRT, 27, for Burglary II, Criminal Trespass II, Unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, attempted unauthorized use of a vehicle and giving false information to police after a homeowner caught him breaking into their vehicle in their unattached garage at their residence in the 21400 block of Highway 20 in Blodgett.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at about 11:50 pm, deputies stopped a red Dodge Charger for illegal display of a registration plate. They later seized two sets of plates from the driver after determining that neither set belonged on the vehicle she was driving. They driver was cited for multiple traffic violations and released.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On October 6, 2021, David Rhinehart, 38, reported to the lobby of the Benton County Jail on a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for FTA – DWS, bail $10000-00. Rhinehart was issued a new court date and released.
ACCIDENT OTHER INJURY - On October 5, 2021, a three-vehicle traffic crash occurred on Highway 20 at NE Granger Ave. All vehicles were towed due to damage and two of five passengers were transported by EMT’s to the hospital.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING; DUII DRUGS; RECKLESS DRIVING; DWS MIS;  ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at approximately 9:10 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W and McFarland Road for a rollover crash. They arrived and spoke with the driver of Vehicle 1 who told deputies she was southbound and the crashed vehicle had been northbound in the southbound lane. She moved to the west side as far as possible without going into the ditch to avoid the crash. This caused damage to the underside of her vehicle due to straddling the edge of the roadway. The driver of vehicle 2, Krishan Cashen, 37, of Springfield, eventually corrected back into the northbound lane, causing her to lose control and crash. Cashen was Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor. Deputies later cited Cashen for DUII-Drugs, DWS Misdemeanor, Reckless Driving, and Reckless Endangering.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 1:28 PM, deputies saw MINDY KRIEG, 41, walking near 1st Street & Tyler Avenue in Corvallis. KRIEG had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for her arrest which Dispatch confirmed. KRIEG was issued a criminal citation with a court date in lieu of custody for her warrant.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On 10/02/2021 at about 3:49 pm, deputies stopped Brittany WADE, 31, for a traffic violation off of Hickory Street, North Albany. WADE had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Lebanon Muni Court, Lebanon Oregon for P/V Theft in the third degree, $6100.00 bail. WADE was on her way to work in Corvallis so deputies allowed her to drive to work, where they cited her into the Lebanon Muni Court, 40 N 2nd Street, Lebanon.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, October 1, 2021 at about 2:24 pm, deputies were dispatched to SW 53rd Street at SW Reservoir Avenue for a two-vehicle crash. Upon arrival they spoke with the driver of unit one. Unit one was heading south on 53rd Street and attempted to make a U turn at the intersection of 53rd and Reservoir. While making the U turn, unit one collided into the passenger side of unit two. Deputies then spoke with the driver of unit two. Unit two was headed south on 53rd Street. Unit one swerved as if to turn right onto Reservoir. Unit two started to go around unit one. Unit one turned back into the lane of travel colliding with the passenger side of unit two. Both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene.
DUII DRUGS; RECKLESS DRIVING - On October 1, 2021 at approximately 2:45 AM, deputies responded to and located a suspect vehicle in an attempt to locate broadcast. Malique TULCHINSKY, 22, was reported to have been crossing the center and fog lines and driving slow. Deputies stopped TULCHINSKY for Failure to Drive Within Lane and suspicion of DUII after observing him drift across the fog line. There was a strong odor of marijuana coming from TULCHINSKY`s vehicle. TULCHINSKY consented to field sobriety tests, but refused the Walk and Turn and One-Leg Stand tests due to injuries. Deputies arrested Malique TULCHINSKY for DUII and Reckless Driving. TULCHINSKY was released at his residence.
DUII - On September 20, 2021 at approximately 12:20 AM, deputies stopped Michael GERENDASY, 48, of Junction City, for Failure to Drive Within Lane and suspicion of DUII on Coon Rd near Cherry Creek Rd. GERENDASY submitted to some field sobriety tests, but did not want to attempt the Walk and Turn or One-Leg Stand test due to a past injury and the incline of the roadway. Deputies arrested GERENDASY for DUII. At the Benton County Sheriff`s Office, Michael GERENDASY refused to take a breath test. Deputies applied for and was granted a telephonic search warrant for GERENDASY`s breath and/or blood sample. Deputies transported GERENDASY to GSRMC/ER where they drew two vials of blood. GERENDASY later submitted a jail release blow and his blood alcohol content was over the legal limit.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On September 29, 2021, David Rhinehart, 38, turned himself in at the Benton County Jail on a Clackamas County Circuit warrant for FTA - DWS felony, bail $80000-00. Clackamas County jail issued a new court date and subject was released.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE – On September 19, 2021, a caller said two people were on her property and behind her residence on 17th Street in Philomath. Deputies contacted the two individuals and advised them they were trespassing while on the railroad tracks behind the storage units and the caller’s residence. One person told deputies his dog did go on the caller’s property and he went to get the dog and called it back. Both said they were unaware they could not be on the tracks as they were just looking for agates. Both agreed they would not return and they walked away from the area.
DWS MIS - On Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at about 7:30 pm, deputies saw a gray Ford F150 pickup truck traveling north on SW 3rd Street near SW Avery Avenue with no tail lights or license plate light. They later arrested the driver, Stacy Ann Resides, 39, of Cheshire, for Driving While Suspended (misdemeanor). Resides was cited and release.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, October 4, 2021 at about 11:50 PM, deputies stopped a car on Highway 34 near milepost #2 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, TYLER JOHN BOYCE, 32, had an outstanding Felony Benton County Parole & Probation Warrant for a Probation Violation. Deputies arrested BOYCE and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 29, 2021 at about 7:55 PM, deputies were dispatched to a Harassment in the 2600 block of Michelle Dr. in Corvallis. A male stated he went to the top of Michelle Drive to look at the view and was, "CHASED" and "HARASSED" by a female who said she owned the property there. Deputies contacted the female who stated she went out to take pictures of them with her phone when they were trespassing. Deputies warned her on doing so in the future and the other parties were warned about trespassing.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, October 4, 2021 at about 11:50 PM, deputies stopped a car on Highway 34 near milepost #2 for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver, TYLER JOHN BOYCE, 32, had an outstanding Felony Benton County Parole & Probation Warrant for a Probation Violation. Deputies arrested BOYCE and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, October 4, 2021, at about 5:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover crash on SW 53rd Street near Bellfountain Road. The driver was uninjured. The vehicle was towed and the driver left the scene with the tow operator.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Monday, October 4, 2021 at approximately 12:05 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 3400 block of Bellfountain Road for a male who had gone up to a door and requested paramedics. Deputies arrived and located a male who told them he had been hit by a car and wanted to see medics. After observing no injury deputies transported Wilson to Good Samaritan Hospital at his request.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Monday, October 4, 2021 at approximately 10:05 A.M., deputies were dispatched to the area of Philomath Boulevard and 71st Street for a male walking west on Philomath Boulevard and masturbating. Deputies spoke with a female who said she was jogging on the bike path and a male she described as being, "young, latino, wearing jeans and a black shirt," had his hands in his pants and appeared to be masturbating. She said the male was, "smiling blissfully," like he was on another planet. Deputies drove through the area and could not find the male.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, October 4, 2021 at 9:21 AM, deputies stopped and arrested DIANNA FALCON, 39, of Nampa, ID, on multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants as she was riding her bicycle near SE 3rd Street and SE Crystal Lakes Drive in Corvallis. FALCON was transported to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and lodged on her warrants.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 VANDALISM - On 10/03/2021 at around 2:51 am, deputies drove into Takena Landing and discovered someone had painted "METH WANTED" in the parking lot with what appears to be house paint.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On October 2, 2021 at about 6:30 pm, deputies contacted John D Caldwell, 28, under the Alsea Bridge and was cited him in lieu of custody for eight warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, October 2, 2021 at approximately 1:13 PM, deputies stopped a white BMW sedan on 9th Street near Cornell Avenue in Corvallis for a traffic violation. The driver was cited for Driving While Suspended (Violation) and Driving Uninsured. The passenger, KATRINA GRAY, 37, was cited and released on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for her arrest.
THEFT 2; FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER DECEPTION; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1; LITTERING; WARRANT ARREST - On October 2, 2021 at about 7:00 a.m., deputies went to the railroad tracks south of SW Avery Street, just east of SW Allen Street for follow up regarding Criminal Trespass I, Offensive Littering, and people camping without permission. They arrested, cited and released, NICOLE PATTERSON, 24, of Wilsonville, and CHARLES SHORE, 34, of South Beach.  SHORE was cited and released for Giving False Information to Police for lying about his name and using his brother`s name of CHRISTOPHER GRAY. Deputies also seized three bicycles.
DWS MIS - On Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at approximately 6:35 P.M., deputies stopped Jeffrey Alan Pearce, 44, on Twin Oaks Circle near 3rd Street, after a traffic violation. They learned Pearce’s driving status was Misdemeanor Suspended. They also cited and released Pearce for Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor and Failure to Drive within Lane. Pearce arranged for someone to help get his car.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at approximately 11:05 A.M., Vehicle 1 was east on Chapel Drive, west of Bellfountain Road, in an International Dump Truck. Vehicle 2 was following the dump truck and began to pass. As Vehicle 2 was passing, Vehicle 1 moved over to avoid a bicycle rider. The rear wheels of the dump truck hit the rear passenger fender of Vehicle 2, a Ford, F-150, causing minor damage. Both vehicles were driven away.
DUII DRUGS - On September 26, 2021, around 10:15 PM, deputies were on patrol in Monroe when they observed a silver minivan driving in front of them, traveling north on Highway 99W. They arrested the driver of the vehicle Barbara Ellen Skurdal, 63, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, and for her warrant for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1; FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On September 25, 2021, at about 4:00 p.m., deputies were driving past SW Allen Street at SW Avery Street and saw a person walking on the railroad tracks about 3/4 mile south of SW Avery Street committing the crime of Criminal Trespass I. Deputies contacted the person, a male, identified themselves, and told him he was trespassing. The male said he did not know that, but was respectful. Deputies asked the male who he was, and he told them he was VICTOR LAWRENCE SELLS, 47. SELLS had a confirmed cite and release Misdemeanor warrant for Contempt of Court out of Albany Municipal Court. Deputies issued SELLS a citation with a court date in lieu of custody.
ACCIDENT OTHER NO INJ - On September 22, 2021 at about 4:55 PM, deputies responded to a Traffic Crash on Highway 99W near Granger Ave. The driver of Vehicle 1 stated she was driving south on Highway 99W when she stopped for traffic at the red light and was rear ended by Vehicle 2. She said she was not injured, but that she was a little sore from the seatbelt after impact. Neither vehicle was towed from the scene; no one was transported to the hospital.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On September 20, 2021 at about 7:40 PM, deputies responded to the 24500 block of Territorial Highway for a suspicious vehicle. The contacted the resident who stated a man carrying a bag was jogging up and down the Highway, then got into an older sedan and left northbound. Deputies searched the immediate area, finding no one matching the description nor the vehicle.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Sunday, September 19, 2021 at about 4:55 PM, deputies were dispatched to a Trespass in the 4800 block of NE Hwy 20 in Corvallis. They located a female down in the rock pit near the river on private property. She was taken back to her car and warned next time she would be arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass II.
PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT - October 3, 2021 at about 4:25 p.m., deputies went to the 28700 block of Highway 34 and located Owen D Mercier, 25, for an Oregon State Parole Board Warrant. He was transported to Linn County Jail where he was lodged.
THEFT 2 FROM BUILDING - On October 2, 2021, around 4:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to a theft that had occurred in the 9100 block of Arboretum Road, Corvallis. The resident reported a beekeepers suit, beehive smoker, and a gas can had been stolen off of his front porch. He told deputies the aggregate value for the items was $170. There is no suspect information at this time.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Friday, October 1, 2021 at about 7:13 am, deputies were dispatched to the 16400 block of Highway 34 for a male trespassing on their property. The male subject was described as a heavy-set Hispanic male with dark hair, last seen wearing a white t-shirt. The male left the area prior to deputy arrival.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, September 30, 2021, at about 4:05 pm, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash that occurred on Monday, September 27, 2021 at about 5:51 pm, near Highway 20, Milepost 44, Philomath. The caller reported she was traveling eastbound on Highway 20 in her Toyota Corolla when a Dodge Caravan traveling west, crossed over the centerline and side swiped her. She stated they exchanged information on scene, but when she attempted to contact him later because he gave her his AARP card for car insurance, she was unsuccessful. She stated the damage to her vehicle is around $2500. She reported no injuries to either party and both vehicles drove away from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 25, 2021 at around 11:14 PM, deputies contacted a male at Takena Landing named Kevin Fuller. Fuller, 57, had 6 warrants out of Linn County Circuit and one cite and release warrant out of Albany Municipal Court. Linn County Jail requested citations in lieu of custody on the circuit court warrants. Fuller was issued a citation for all of his warrants and released from custody.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 24, 2021 at approximately 8:00 PM, deputies were westbound on Highway 20 near NE Granger Ave. They saw a vehicle parked near the KOAC radio building with its headlights shining on the front of the building. They could see an UNKNOWN person standing near the front door, shining a light into the windows. Deputies drove down Hyslop Rd to contact the UNKNOWN person and investigate a possible trespass. They found a male looking into the windows of the KOAC building. He said he was looking to speak with the engineer. Deputies explained to him he needed to contact the engineer and make an appointment to meet them or stop by during normal business hours. Deputies warned him for Trespass II.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; VIOL RELEASE AGREEMENT; WARRANT ARREST - On September 23, 2021 at around 11:50 pm, deputies observed a black ford expedition traveling northbound on HWY 99W near Granger Ave. The vehicle was displaying tags which did not belong to it. Deputies stopped the vehicle and determined the female driver was the protected person in a no contact release agreement. The front male passenger provided them with numerous false names, but was ultimately identified as the respondent in the no contact release agreement, Garrett Jacks, 38, of Lebanon. Jacks also had two warrants for his arrest. Jacks was taken into custody and transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked for providing false info and violating a no contact release agreement. Jacks was issued citations to appear on his two warrants.
INITIATE FALSE REPORT - On September 19, 2021 at about 5:00 p.m., in the 5100 block of Willamette Ave, Adair, deputies issued Sherrie Filipelli, 36, a citation for Initiating a False Report after she attempted to report a telephonic harassment that she was actually initiating and maintaining.
UUV; IDENTITY THEFT; POSS STOLEN VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 1; DUII DRUGS; DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2; LITTERING; FAIL TO PERFORM DUTIES/DRIVER PROP DAMAGE; RECKLESS DRIVING - On Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:50 AM, deputies responded to the 2600 Block of NW Sulphur Springs Road to attempt to locate a male who was reportedly trying to ram his vehicle into one of the OSU Research Forest gates. They arrested JOSEPH REFUGIO GOMEZ, 38, near a blue Toyota Sienna minivan, which had been stolen from Corvallis the day prior. GOMEZ admitted to originally taking the vehicle and also to driving that day, exhibiting signs of being under the influence of a CNS stimulant. Blood and urine samples were obtained via a search warrant. GOMEZ was booked at the Benton County Jail where he was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Criminal Mischief I, Identity Theft, DUII - Drugs, Reckless Driving, Littering, Disorderly Conduct II, and Hit & Run (Property).
BURGLARY 2; THEFT 3 FROM BUILDING; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Saturday, August 28, 2021, at about 12:13 pm, deputies were dispatched to a burglary in the 7600 block of NE Pettibone Drive, Corvallis. A resident reported his unlocked stored RV was entered by unknown persons; $20 worth of quarters and $25 worth of batteries were taken. There was evidence to suggest the unknown persons stayed for an extended time in the RV. No suspect identified at this time.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On September 26, 2021, at around 1:55pm, deputies were dispatched to the 4800 block of NE Elliott Circle for a report of Criminal Mischief. A male reported his and his son’s vehicles had been vandalized. He believed the vandalism was the result of an altercation he had with a local store employee three weeks ago. Minimal damage. There are no current suspects.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at about 1:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to Pioneer Park in Corvallis to assist Benton County Parole and Probation Deputies with a warrant service. They later arrested Michael John Elgin, 30, on multiple Benton County Circuit Court warrants. Elgin was cited and released.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at about 8:00 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a suspicious vehicle parked near the 2500 block of NW Michelle Drive. They spoke with the driver and his passenger, who were camping overnight and agreed to leave the area.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On Friday, September 24, 2021, at about 8:14 pm, deputies were dispatched to an Unauthorized Entry to a Motor Vehicle at Irish Bend Park in Monroe. A female reported between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm, her 2014 Nissan Xterra’s driver-side window was broken, and around $200.00 cash was stolen from her wallet that was in her purse, hidden under the driver’s seat. She valued the total damage to her vehicle to be around $200.00. No suspect identified at this time.
UNLAW POSS OF FIREARM - On Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at about 12:30 pm, deputies stopped a red 1990 Lexus 400 for going 73MPH in a 55MPH zone. They later arrested the driver, Mathew Duane Nida, 40, of Brownsville, for unlawful possession of a firearm.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On September 27, 2021, at around 1:52 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 24000 block of Highway 20 for an abandoned vehicle. A resident reported she found a black 2007 Acura TSX stuck in a ditch and blocking her driveway. This vehicle is related to an earlier call involving a female not being able to find her car after she got it stuck the night before. The female was contacted and advised of her vehicle’s location.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 6:17 PM, deputies arrested TROY AVERILL, 51, for multiple outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants after they saw him jump off the roof of a travel trailer in the driveway of a residence in the 23800 block of Maxfield Creek Road and attempt to hide from them inside a lean-to. AVERILL was cited and released on his warrants at the request of the Benton County Jail.
DUII - On Friday, September 24, 2021, at approximately 1:10 AM, deputies stopped YSABELLA ORTIZ, 20, of McMinnville, in the area of Highway 99W and Llewellyn. They observed indicators of impairment and YSABELLA was arrested for DUII after consenting to SFSTs. YSABELLA provided a breath sample and was later released to a sober friend. Her vehicle was a traffic hazard and was towed.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE - On September 22, 2021, at about 11:40 PM, deputies were dispatched to a theft in the 23800 block of Woods Creek Road, near Philomath. They called and spoke to a resident who stated his front license plate had been stolen. He had no idea when the plate could have been stolen or where it was stolen. He was convinced the plate was stolen and not fallen off. Deputies provided him with a case number and answered any additional questions he had.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 8, 2021 at about 5:00 PM, deputies responded to the area of 765 SW 53rd Street known more commonly as the tree farm - a habitat for the homeless - for shots being fired. They arrived and located none; however, they did notice a transient lying on the ground near a truck at that location. They located a warrant for the arrest of the transient identified as Christopher Huntting, 33. Deputies I issued him a citation lieu of custody and released him in the field. Warrant information is as follows: LINN COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT FOR FTA CONTEMPT OF COURT, NO BAIL.
ABANDONED VEHICLE - On September 8, 2021, deputies responded to the Alsea Mercantile for a vehicle parked in the roadway. The vehicle was a gold colored Honda Accord with no license plates. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 9/8/2021 AT APPROXIMATELY 10:30 AM, JAIL DEPUTIES SERVED TWO WARRANTS ON SELVES, DAMON, 39, OF SALEM. SELVES WAS IN BENTON COUNTY JAIL CUSTODY AND WAS RELEASED ON HIS LOCAL CHARGES BY THE COURT. WARRANT INFO: MARION COUNTY FOR FAIL TO APPEAR ON A TRAFFIC OFFENSE AND POLK COUNTY FOR FTA DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED FELONY. SELVES WAS TRANSPORTED TO POLK COUNTY THAT SAME DAY WITH A DETAINER FOR HIS WARRANT OUT OF MARION COUNTY
THEFT 2; IDENTITY THEFT - On September 3, 2021, at about 9:15 AM, deputies were dispatched to a fraud in the 100 block of South 7th Street in Monroe. The resident stated a package was delivered to her address which she did not order. The package was purchased from an online store with a credit card purchase for $149.85 dollars, which she confirmed she did not purchase. Fed Ex took the package to have returned. She stated she needed a police case number to be reimbursed through her credit company. She added she was unaware who would have used her card but canceled the card as well to prevent future fraudulent purchases.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Thursday, August 19, 2021, at about 9:40 AM, deputies were dispatched to a fraud in the 24500 block of Old Peak Road, near Philomath. They called and spoke with the resident who stated his information was used to attempt to collect unemployment benefits. They stated the information used was his social security number and was sent to their business. They denied the claim and reported it to the Oregon Employment Office and were informed to make a formal police report. They stated no money was transferred and no other fraudulent activity occurred.
HARASSMENT PHONE - On Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 11:45 AM, deputies were dispatched to contact a female in the 200 block of Market Street in Alsea by phone, regarding harassment by her mother-in-law. She alleged she and her husband have been receiving unwanted contact from her by phone and in person. Deputies told the mother-in-law not to contact either party. The caller was told how to apply for a stalking protective order.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On September 26, 2021, at around 11:06 am, deputies were dispatched to the front lawn of the Benton County Courthouse for a suspicious person digging holes with a shovel. A male was warned against metal-detecting and digging on County property without a proper permit. No damage was found.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 25, 2021, at 2:30 PM, deputies stopped Rena Selene Brandt, 38, of Toledo, on Highway 20 near milepost 47 in Philomath for operating a vehicle with studded tires. Brandt had a confirmed cite and release warrant out of Lincoln County Circuit Court for Failure to Appear/ Dangerous Drugs, Bail $15,000. Brandt was issued a new court date and cited for Driving While Suspended.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On September 25, 2021 at about 12:30 pm, deputies located a suspicious vehicle on Old River Road near West Ingram Island Rd. The occupants were hunting for agates in gravel on the side of the road.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, September 24, 2021 at 10:11 AM, a Ford F150 pickup was eastbound on Highway 20 near Mile Post 49 when the driver slowed to a stop. The driver of a disabled semi-truck had gotten out of his vehicle and was attempting to slow traffic in the area after the driveline broke, causing a blockage of the westbound lane. The Ford vehicle was struck from behind by a Tesla Model Y SUV, which could not stop in time. There were no injuries reported and both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.
ASSAULT 4 - On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at about 2:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to Lincoln Elementary School in Corvallis to investigate a case of suspected child abuse. They later arrested the child’s grandfather, Neal Patrick Morris, 55, for Assault IV. Morris was cited and released.
THEFT 1 - On September 18, 2021 at about 12:00 p.m., deputies took a report of a theft of a metal bike rack, tables and a wagon from a yard in the 1400 block of SE Alexander, Corvallis. There are no suspects at this time.
HARASSMENT - On Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at approximately 7:06 PM, deputies spoke to a resident who reported unwanted harassing phone calls from her estranged husband. Deputies spoke to the husband and told him not to contact her any further. He said he had no interest in speaking to her and would not contact her.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 18, 2021 around 1:17 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle driving into Takena Landing. A female passenger, Mickala Birdsell, 26, had a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for failing to carry or present a license. She was cited and released. The driver was cited for DWS and Driving uninsured.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ – On September 23, 2021, vehicle 1 was traveling eastbound on NE Granger Avenue in Corvallis. They made a left turn onto Highway 20, failing to yield to right away to vehicle 2. Vehicle 2 was traveling westbound on Highway 20 and crashed into Pelletier. No injuries were reported by either driver on scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ – On September 23, 2021, vehicle 1 was traveling southbound on Independence Highway in Corvallis. He turned left onto Highway 20, without yielding the right away to vehicle 2. Vehicle 2 crashed into vehicle 1, as she was turning left onto NW Independence Highway. No injuries were reported on scene.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at about 9:15 am, deputies were dispatched to investigate a suspicious person in the Palestine Cemetery on NW Palestine Avenue near NW Oak Grove Drive. At the cemetery they spoke with a male, who was practicing his public speaking in the cemetery.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday September 21, 2021 at about 6:45 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Priest Road off Highway 20. Dispatch advised the driver, KRISTINA KAY VERGARA, 40, and one of the passengers, AARON GARLAND, 38, had outstanding Warrants. Both were cited and released in the field on their warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at about 9:45 am, while on patrol in Takena Landing, Albany, deputies arrested Elizabeth June Bowman, 37, on an Albany Municipal Court warrant. Bowman was cited and released.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On September 20, 2021 at around 10:20 pm, deputies observed a Honda Civic drive up to the turnaround in the 2600 block of NW Michelle Drive with a malfunctioning headlamp. They also saw that the license plate tags were expired in 2020. They contacted the driver, Adam Nicholas, 41, of Lebanon. He had two Misdemeanor Warrants for his arrest. Citations were authorized instead of custody.
DWS MIS - On September 20, 2021, deputies arrested CHARLES TAKUCHY SHIRAI, 51, for Driving while revoked/misdemeanor after a traffic stop on 3rd Street near Hopkins Avenue.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 9/20/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 1:20 PM, FREDERICK, ALEX, 25, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY ON A CONFIRMED WARRANT FOR FTA DUII, BAIL $3K. FREDERICK WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, September 20, 2021, at about 9:00 am, while on patrol at Takena Landing, Albany, deputies arrested Brandon Alan Howard, 36, on a Lane County Circuit Court warrant. Howard was cited and released with a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 19, 2021, around 11:30 AM, while deputies were patrolling Takena Landing on Highway 20 in Albany, they observed a male, later identified as Anthony Raymond Matney, 34, walking his bicycle outside of Takena Landing’s posted hours. Matney had a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court, and was issued a citation with a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 19, 2021, at around 1:39 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black 1992 Honda Civic near the intersection of SE 3rd St and SE Richland Ave. Dispatch informed a passenger, Aarren Haylett, 19, of Independence, had a warrant out of Tillamook County Circuit Court for Criminal Mischief 2. Haylett was issued a criminal citation for the warrant in lieu of Custody.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 19, 2021, at 12:59 PM, deputies contacted Kyle Nussdorfer, 29, at his residence in the 2400 block of SW Leonard Street, Corvallis. Nussdorfer had a confirmed Felony Warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for his arrest. Nussdorfer stated he swallowed 4 grams of cocaine and 2 oxycodone pills prior to his arrest. Nussdorfer was transported to the hospital for treatment and then transported to the Benton County Jail on the warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 19, 2021 at around 12:18 am, deputies contacted a woman who appeared to be sleeping in her pickup in a parking in the 1900 block of SW 3rd Street. The woman was identified as Barbara Anderson, 67. Anderson had a warrant for FTA DUII out of Benton County Circuit Court. She was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
FORGERY 2 - On Saturday, September 18, 2021, at about 6:45 pm, deputies dispatched to a suspicious circumstance in the 2100 block of NE Highway 20, Corvallis. An employee reported that Shane Hanson, 52, attempted to exchange a counterfeit $20 bill. Hanson was arrested at his residence for Forgery II, cited, and released on scene.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 18, 2021, at around 7:39 am, I was dispatched to Golf Club of Oregon, located at 905 Springhill Dr, for a reported burglary. An employee reportedly found the front door of the club house had been pried open. No items were found to have been taken. The alarm company reported motion activity at 12:02am, but did not report it. No current suspects.
CHILD NEGLECT 2; CHILD WELFARE 4 - On September 17, 2021, at about 7:40 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 5100 block of NE Willamette Avenue for a young child, about two-years-old, who was naked, and came onto their neighbor`s property with a large friendly dog. A neighbor called this in and watched the child and dog until deputies arrived. The child was naked or close to it, and they wrapped the child up in a blanket. The mother was located.
MISSING PERSON - On Friday, September 17, 2021 at 2:25 PM, a caregiver reported one of her clients had walked away from an adult care home in the 1000 block of NE Granger Avenue in Corvallis. Deputies checked the area for the individual, who allegedly suffers from Dementia and other severe mental health issues. The man ended up returning to the care home on his own that day around 5:00 PM.
WARRANT ARREST - On 09/17/21, FONGER, Kyler, 26, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail on a Lincoln Co Circuit warrant for FTA Child Neglect. Deputies issued Fonger a new court date.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1; WARRANT ARREST; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Friday, September 17, 2021 at 6:46 AM, deputies located and arrested two individuals who were trespassing with their vehicle on a piece of private property on the north side of Highway 20 just east of NW Rondo Street. PEGGY GIBSON, 49, and JAMES PRYOR, 54, were both cited and released for Trespass I and Trespass II. GIBSON was also cited for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE; WARRANT ARREST - On September 17, 2021 at around 01:42 AM, deputies stopped a white Ford Taurus near NE Granger Ave, and NE Perribone Dr. They contacted the driver who told deputies she had no ID but told them her name was Olivia Washington. Deputies determined this was not the woman`s true identity. She was subsequently arrested. Deputies discovered her real name was Winnie Curtice, 27, of Scio. Curtice had 2 warrants for her arrest. She was issued criminal citations for both warrants and additionally cited for providing false info in connection with a warrant and fail to carry and present a license. Curtice was also issued traffic citations for driving while suspended, driving uninsured, and failing to install an ignition interlock device.
WARRANT ARREST - On 09/16/21, Perreard, Darren, 51, turned himself in at Benton Co Jail on a Benton Co confirmed warrant for FTA theft II. Perreard was issued a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, September 15th, 2021, at about 8:00 p.m., deputies contacted Christopher Biondello, 45, in the 2600 block of Adams St, Eugene, Or. Biondello had a confirmed Felony arrest warrant for his arrest out of Benton County Circuit Court. Biondello was issued a citation and released on scene.
DOG BITE – On September 15, 2021 at 3:33 p.m., deputies transported a dog from the 600 block of N 9th Street in Monroe to the Heartland Humane Society where she was impounded. The dog will serve a ten-day quarantine for biting and breaking the skin of a person.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 15, 2021, deputies stopped a silver Saturn OR on Highway 99W near MP 105. The driver, Cody McMillen Sims, 37, was issued a citation on two warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 13, 2021, at around 1:54 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a gray 2005 Ford Freestar on Dawson Road, near Milepost 2. The driver was later issued a citation for violation-level PCS-Meth. A passenger, Lindsey Weston, 31, of Springfield, was arrested and transported to Lane County Jail for a Parole Violation Warrant.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 12, 2021, around 11:40 PM, deputies were on patrol driving through Takena Landing. They contacted two males sitting in a vehicle, outside of the hours Takena Landing is open. One of the males identified himself as Aaron Eugene Touole, 39, of Salem, who had multiple warrants. Touole was issued citations for his warrants in lieu of custody.
THEFT 2; UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE - On September 12, 2021, around 6:30PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a man in regards to items being stolen from his vehicle at Finley Wildlife Refuge, at the Cheetle Marsh trailhead. A black Dell laptop, a gas can, and outdoor supplies were taken from his vehicle. He said his window was rolled down, and he did not observe any damages to his vehicle.
WARRANT ARREST - On 09/09/21 OLSEN, Larry, 70, turned himself in at the Benton Co Jail on a FTA -Discon II warrant out of Benton Co. Olsen was issued a new court date.
WARRANT ARREST - At approximately 9:30 pm on 09/07/21, David Olsen, 56, turned himself into the lobby of the Benton County Jail on a confirmed warrant for DWS. OLSEN was released with a release agreement that had a new court date issued.
BURGLARY 2; THEFT 3 FROM BUILDING; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11:08 AM, deputies responded to the Monroe area for suspicious activity. It was determined two vehicles were involved in stealing items from residences including a gas can and metal sign from the 27000 block of Finley Road. They ended up stopping one of the involved vehicles, a white Honda Accord sedan, on Highway 99W near West Ingram Island Road. They arrested the driver, IAN BLAKE, 27, of Junction City, after observing stolen property from the residence in the back seat of his vehicle. BLAKE was transported to the Lane County Jail where he was booked and lodged on a detainer from his Probation Officer. BLAKE was also charged with Burglary II, Trespass II, and Theft III in relation to this case. The items were returned to their owner.
MAIL THEFT; IDENTITY THEFT - On Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11:08 AM, deputies responded to the Monroe area for suspicious activity. It was determined two vehicles were involved in stealing items from local residences, including mail from the 25700 block of Coon Road. They ended up stopping one of the involved vehicles, a white Honda Accord sedan with no plates, on Highway 99W near West Ingram Island Road. They arrested the driver, IAN BLAKE, 27, after observing stolen property from one of the residences in the back seat of his vehicle. BLAKE was transported to the Lane County Jail where he was booked and lodged on a detainer from his Probation Officer. BLAKE was also charged with Mail Theft (X2) and Identity Theft in relation to this case. The mail was returned to its owner,
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, August 19, 2021, at approximately 6:12 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 99W and Lewisburg for report of a female starting a fire. They contacted SOFYA KONSTANKTINOV GERASIMENKO, 29, of Keizer, who had a small cooking fire where she was warming a quesadilla. SOFYA had a misdemeanor warrant for her arrest and deputies issued her a criminal citation in lieu of custody and released her.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On August 15, 2021 at about 6:05 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of 240 E Main St. in Alsea for a suspicious vehicle. Deputies recognized the vehicle from previous contacts and located it later in the evening off Highway 501 near milepost #5. The driver was warned about Trespassing.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 12, 2021, at 10:07 AM, deputies were dispatched to Bellfountain Road near Chapel Drive in Philomath for a non-injury traffic crash. The driver was traveling eastbound on Chapel Drive when she failed to stop for the intersection of Bellfountain Road. She crashed into a ditch and rolled her vehicle. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On September 12, 2021, around 4:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Finley Wildlife Refuge on Bruce Road for a reported car break-in. The victim reported her front passenger’s side window had been smashed in, and her belongings had been searched through. Nothing was reported stolen.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 – On September 12, 2021, around 6:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Finley Wildlife Refuge on Bruce Road for a reported car break-in. The caller reported her front driver’s side window and back window had been smashed in, and her belongings had be searched through. She said a blue Acura hatch back was parked in the parking lot when she arrived, and thought this vehicle was associated with the break in. No identified suspects at this time.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, September 10, 2021 at approximately 1:33 PM, a driver was southbound on Independence Highway in his black Honda Civic sedan. He signaled to turn left (eastbound) onto Palestine Avenue, while slowing nearly to a stop. His vehicle was struck from behind by a white Toyota Camry sedan after the driver crested a hill and could not avoid the Civic in time. The Camry was towed due to damage. There were no injuries reported.
POSS METH (LESS THAN 2 GRAMS) - On September 11, 2021 at around 1:54 AM, deputies stopped a white Honda a SE Chapman Place and 3rd Street. During their contact they learned the driver did not have insurance and did not have driving privileges in Oregon. They also located two methamphetamine pipes inside the driver’s vehicle. The driver was issued citations for the following: driving uninsured, possession of less than 2 grams of methamphetamine, and no valid operator`s license.
DUII - On September 9, 2021, at 4:25 PM, deputies were dispatched to Fern Road near Evergreen Road in Philomath for a vehicle stuck in the ditch. They later arrested Douglas Scott Buterbaugh, 57, for DUII, after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at about 8:00 am, deputies were dispatched to the area of NW Highland Drive and NW Crescent Valley Drive for a motor vehicle crash. Unit one was headed south on Highland Drive, when unit two attempted to make a left turn onto Crescent Valley Drive. Unit one was unable to avoid colliding with Unit two. Unit two was headed north on Highland Drive. Unit two attempted to make a left turn onto Crescent Valley and did not see Unit one, heading south on Highland, prior to the collision.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 9, 2021, deputies responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury traffic crash at the roundabout on 53rd at West Hills Road. The drivers exchanged information and declined any medical attention from EMTs.
IDENTITY THEFT; FELON IN POSS OF RESTRICTED WEAPON; POSS BURGLARS TOOLS; WARRANT ARREST - On Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 5:27 PM, deputies stopped a black Toyota Camry sedan for a traffic violation on Highway 20 near Springhill Drive. The driver, TEDDY JOHNSTON, 34, was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. JOHNSTON, a convicted felon, was also in possession of a restricted knife, credit/debit cards and a check belonging to other individuals, as well as a stolen catalytic converter and burglary tools. JOHNSTON was cited for his warrant as well as for the crimes of Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon, Identity Theft (x5), and Possession of Burglary Tools. JOHNSTON was also cited for Driving while Suspended (Violation).
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, September 12, 2021 at about 7:05 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of Commercial St in Monroe for a report of a disturbance. They arrived within five minutes of the call, walked up to the front door, found it open, and two adults playing with a small child. There was no indication of any type of crime and the TV was very loud which might have been the source for the call. DONALD ROBERT ADAMS III, 41, told deputies he was playing with his son and there was no yelling involved. Dispatch advised ADAMS had a Warrant out of Linn County Justice Court for Probation Violation - F.T.A. II. ADAMS was issued a citation in the field and released.
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE - On September 12, 2021, at 1:50 PM, deputies spoked to a female by phone who works at the Bus Depot located at 24515 Highway 20 in Philomath. She said the owner of the property has a travel trailer parked in the lot, which was broken into at some point. It was unknown what was taken and no one has been able to contact the owner. Deputies provided the caller with a case number and asked her to have the owner contact BCSO.
THEFT 3; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 12, 2021, at around 10:50 am, deputies were dispatched to the 6900 block of NW Highway 20 for a report of criminal mischief. They spoke with a male, who reported that the previous night someone had attempted to steal an exterior cash box and break into their store. The cash box and a door were damaged. No current suspects.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On September 12, at 8:14 AM, deputies spoke with a resident in the 100 block of S 2nd Street in Alsea. He told deputies a female was taking his walker and returning afterwards, without his permission. Deputies were unable to locate the female and advised the resident to keep his walker inside to solve the issue.
LITTERING - On Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 1:12 PM, a resident reported someone has been dumping trash on property he recently purchased in the 400 block of NW Lewisburg Avenue over the past month. There are no suspects; he will be putting up surveillance cameras.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:15 AM, deputies stopped a red Dodge Charger sedan for a traffic violation on Corvallis Road near Prather Road. The driver and sole occupant, LAURA RUHL, 26, was cited and released on a confirmed, outstanding misdemeanor warrant which she had for her arrest.
MENACING - On September 10, 2021, at 9:05 AM, deputies spoke to a man regarding a Menacing complaint. He told deputies he was a Notary and attempting to serve a paper in the 1300 block of Commercial Street in Monroe, on September 9, 2021, at around dusk. He said he was confronted by a male holding a pistol near the closed driveway gate, who told him he was trespassing and to leave. He said the male did not point the gun at him, or threaten him specifically in anyway. He told deputies he left without further incident. Deputies advised the man no crime occurred.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 10, 2021 at around 1:23 AM, deputies stopped a red Subaru legacy near SW 53rd Street and SW Reservoir Ave. The driver was suspended violation and deputies identified one of her passengers as Matthew L`Esperance, 43. L`esperance had two active warrants for his arrest. He was subsequently taken into custody and later issued criminal citations on his warrants. The driver was issued a traffic citation for ORS.811.175, driving while suspended.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Thursday, September 9, 2021, at about 8:05 pm, deputies were dispatched to Pettibone Drive near mile post 2 for a motorcycle crash. They arrived and observed a male lying on the ground face down next to his 2001 Mobi Motorcycle. A female who was following him stated he hit a deer and crashed. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Thursday, September 9, 2021, at about 2:50 pm, deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident on the phone regarding a fraud. She was informed by her bank an unknown person attempted to cash a check from her account in a Spokane Washington US Bank. The attempt was not successful and she needed a local agency case number for her bank to help process the event. Deputies provided her with that case number.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 9, 2021, at 10:00 AM, deputies stopped a driver on Alpine Road near Nichols Road in Monroe for no front license plate. The driver initially attempted to ditch deputies by pulling into a driveway for a residence he did not belong at. He was issued a citation for No Front Plate, Driving while Suspended Violation, Driving Uninsured, and Failure to Use an Ignition Interlock Device. The front seat passenger, Ariel Jantze, 24 had a confirmed Felony Parole Board Warrant for her arrest. Jantze was transported to the Lane County Jail and lodged on the warrant.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 9, 2021, a driver was stopped in traffic with her family on NW Highland Drive waiting for the light at NW Walnut Blvd. She was rear-ended by a juvenile driver. The juvenile driver continued to the Shell gas station on NW 9th St. where information was exchanged.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On 09/06/2021 at approximately 11:01 pm, deputies contacted a male in the Philomath laundromat. He was warned for criminal trespass and left the business.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, September 6, 2021 at 11:33 AM, deputies arrested MEGAN STRIPLIN, 26, on a confirmed, outstanding misdemeanor warrant after deputies observed her enter a business in the 1800 block of NW 9th Street in Corvallis. STRIPLIN was cited in lieu of custody for her warrant. STRIPLIN was also cited by a CPD Officer for pre-existing probable cause in regards to an unrelated incident.
DUII - On August 28, 2021, around 8:44 PM, deputies located an Attempt to Locate a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 99 near Mountain View Drive. Deputies arrested Chris Daniel Foss, 42, for DUII. Foss provided a breath sample, was cited, and released.
THEFT 2 FROM BUILDING; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 7, 2021, deputies were dispatched to the 26500 block of Highway 99W for a reported burglary. The resident reported someone entered one of his commercial barns on Sunday night (09/05/2021) and stole approximately $300 worth of fiberglass roofing panels. He also reported one of his commercial tenants found a plastic bag containing numerous credit cards and IDs nearby on the same night. The IDs and credit cards were found to belong to a Roseburg woman, who had had her wallet stolen from her vehicle in Junction City on the night of the burglary (09/05/2021). No current suspects at this time.
FAIL TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER; WARRANT ARREST - On September 7, 2021, at around 11:35 am, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a white 1992 Chevrolet van on Bellfountain Road, near Milepost 3. They later issued the driver, John Bird, 58, a criminal citation for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for Theft 3 and a criminal citation for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On 09/07/2021 at approximately 12:46 am, deputies contacted two adult females and three juveniles in a van on Goracke Road. The family is between housing and was looking for somewhere to pitch a tent. Deputies provided the mother with resource materials for Benton County shelters and other services. The female was warned about trespassing in Benton County parks after hours.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2 - On Wednesday, September 1, 2021, deputies were dispatched to a criminal mischief in the 18100 block of Highway 34, near Alsea. They called and spoke to a resident who stated a section of his fence had been damaged. He said the cost to replace the fence, posts, and T-posts would be about $500.00 dollars. He did clarify the damage could be 1 to 2 months old, but he is unsure.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Thursday, August 26, 2021, deputies were dispatched to the 26900 block of Dawson Road for a trespass complaint. Deputies called and spoke to a resident who stated he had a male stop by his house and ask about a car battery. He requested more patrols in the area and to document the incident. He stated the male left when asked and nothing was taken.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, September 6, 2021 at about 11:10 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Hickory Ave. near Springhill Drive for a traffic violation.  Dispatch advised the driver, JIMMIE STEPHEN REED, 47, of Toledo, had an outstanding Warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court.  REED was issued a citation and he was cited and released in the field.
FAIL TO APPEAR ON CRIMINAL CITATION - On Monday, September 6, 2021, around 1:00 A.M., Malik Crowell, 19, was arrested at Coon Road near Cherry Creek Road for a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for FTA-Assault III. Crowell was booked and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On 9/5/2021 at around 11:00 PM, a female was house sitting in the 7200 block of NE Avalon Dr. She said she heard a noise downstairs and call 9-1-1 because she was the only one at the residence. Deputies arrived and saw 3 vehicles inside the automatic gates at the residence. Deputies walked up near the front door and there were multiple dogs inside the gated area that were barking. A male was taking a shower inside and he heard the dogs barking. The male told deputies his parents owned the residence and they were away in Europe. Deputies explained to him there was a house sitter upstairs and he told me he was aware his parents had hired one, but forgot she was there. The house sitter came downstairs and spoke to deputies and the son.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday September 5, 2021 at about 9:50 PM, deputies contacted TATUM JANE LECLERE, 34, of Junction City, on Territorial Hwy/MP 4, Monroe. Dispatch advised LECLERE had an outstanding Oregon State Parole Board Warrant for a Parole Violation. Deputies transported her to the Lane County Jail where she was lodged.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On September 6, 2021, deputies were dispatched to the 7400 block of NE Pettibone Dr, for a reported trespass. The property owner reported seeing on surveillance camera an unknown man and dark 1998 Subaru Legacy station-wagon on a property she is currently renting. Deputies were unable to contact the renter by phone, or make contact with anyone at the residence. Deputies informed the owner that the current resident is still allowed to have visitors.
WARRANT ARREST; DOG BCSO ANIMAL/DOG COMPLAINT - On Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 1:35 PM, a man called to request a welfare check on a dog located in the 23800 block of Maxfield Creek Road. Deputies located the dog and its owner, JIMMIE BARTON, 48, who had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest. During their contact with BARTON he had a medical event, collapsing and becoming unresponsive to verbal commands. BARTON was transported to the hospital by medics.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 1:44 PM, deputies stopped a red Chevy Suburban SUV for multiple traffic violations near 2nd Avenue SW & Ellsworth Street in Albany. The driver, KARI SHAW, 34, had a confirmed, outstanding misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. SHAW was issued a criminal citation with a court date in lieu of custody for her warrant.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On September 5, 2021, at around 1:00 pm, deputies were dispatched to a traffic complaint near Highway 20 and NW Scenic Drive. The caller requested a phone call from a deputy. She told deputies she was cut off by a recklessly driven truck. Later, deputies met with the truck driver, who said he did not see the vehicle in his blind-spot, as he merged. He was warned about aggressive driving.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 5, 2021, at 11:15 PM, Weyerhaeuser reported illegal campers on Tobe Creek Road near the Quarry in Alsea. Deputies responded and contacted two men and educated them on where they could and could not camp. Deputies escorted the two off Weyerhaeuser property.
THEFT 1 DECEPTION; COMPUTER CRIME - On Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 10:15 AM, a resident of the 5000 block of NE Elliott Circle in Corvallis reported someone had apparently stolen money from his checking account. He was the victim of a phone scam where a foreign male posed as someone with the "AMAZON SECURITY DEPARTMENT" and requested he send him money via gift cards. The male was able to obtain $2,000 to $3,000 in funds via the gift cards and $5,000 from the resident’s checking account after he gained control of his computer by possibly using malicious software.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On September 5, 2021, at 6:23 AM, a driver was traveling southbound on SW 53rd near milepost 2 in Corvallis. For an unknown reason, he left the roadway and crashed into a guardrail on the west shoulder of the roadway. He was transported to the hospital for minor injuries by Corvallis Fire Department. His vehicle was towed due to damage.
WARRANT ARREST - On September 5, 2021 at around 1:36 AM, deputies contacted a woman sitting in a disabled vehicle near NE HWY 20 and Independence HWY. The woman, identified as Darcy Davidson, 29, of Jefferson, had a misdemeanor cite and release warrant for FTA Assault out of Josephine County Circuit Court. She was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER; WARRANT ARREST - On September 4, 2021, deputies were driving northbound on 3rd Street in Corvallis and observed a male with no pants and exposed genitals standing on the sidewalk. Deputies contacted the male who gave deputies several fake names, but was identified as Mark Beers, 63. Beers had a misdemeanor warrant for PCS Meth and was transported to Linn County Jail and was additionally cited for providing false info to a peace officer.
DWS MIS - On Saturday, September 4, 2021, at about 9:2 0pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop near 4th Street and Washington Ave, Corvallis. The driver, Adrian Gomez Rosales, 46, had revoked misdemeanor driving privileges. Gomez Rosales was cited and released on scene.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On September 4, 2021, around 7:20PM, deputies were dispatched to Highway 20, near milepost eight, for a single vehicle crash. They arrived a saw a vehicle, bearing a Montana plate, was backed into a ditch. The driver said she was negotiating a U-turn when she reversed too far, backing into the ditch in a culvert. Deputies advised her to fill out a DMV crash form and gave a case number. A tow company pulled the vehicle out of the ditch.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 9/4/2021 at around 7:00 PM, Vehicle #1 was traveling westbound on Greenberry Road approaching the T-intersection with Bellfountain Road. The driver did not see the stop sign at the intersection due to the sun in her eyes at that time of the evening. Vehicle #1 went into the ditch area on the Westside of Bellfountain Road. A tow company arrived and towed the vehicle due to the damage from the crash.
PROBATION VIOLATION; SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On September 4, 2021 at approximately 6:00 AM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Palestine Ave and Oak Grove Dr. for suspicious persons. Dispatch said there were two males who "didn`t fit the area". Deputies Michael BOWEN, 22, and another male at the Palestine Cemetery. They said they were walking to Dallas from Albany. Dispatch reported Michael BOWEN had a confirmed Brownsville Municipal Court Warrant for Probation Violation-Contempt of Court. Deputies arrested BOWEN on the warrant. BOWEN was issued a criminal citation en lieu of custody. Lt. BOTTORFF gave BOWEN and John LYON a courtesy ride to Monmouth.
COERCION; MENACING - On September 3, 2021 at approximately 10:40 PM, Deputies were dispatched to the 2600 block of Linnview Ln, Albany, for a report of a domestic disturbance. Brandon BECKNER, 35, was acting aggressive and confrontational towards two residents. On multiple occasions, Brandon BECKNER stood in front of and blocked both from being able to leave their bedroom and later blocked them in the kitchen area. Deputies arrested Brandon BECKNER for Coercion, Menacing and a probation violation. Deputies transported Brandon BECKNER to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 9/3/2021 at around 7:15 PM, Vehicle #1, was traveling eastbound on Alpine Road near MP7, just past Nichols Road. The driver stated another vehicle attempted to run her off the roadway, coming the opposite direction. She drove off the roadway into the ditch, rolling the vehicle. She was unable to give deputies a description of the other vehicle. A tow company arrived and towed her vehicle from the scene due to the damage from the crash. The driver was given a ride into Monroe to get a ride from a friend.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On September 3, 2021, at 3:39 PM, deputies responded to the Tree Farm on West Hills Road in Corvallis for a report of a male exiting a vehicle and entering the wooded area with a long rifle. The male was identified, but not at his camp and never located. Deputies spoke to multiple people living inside the Tree Farm. Everyone they spoke to told them he is known to carry a BB gun, but has never been seen with a real gun. The residents were all advised they were trespassing and needed to vacate the property.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, September 3, 2021 at 3:04 PM, deputies contacted and arrested RANDY LINDGREN, 56, of Lebanon, on multiple outstanding warrants in the parking lot of Takena Landing in Albany. LINDGREN was ultimately cited and released on his confirmed warrants at the request of the Linn County Jail.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Friday, September 3, 2021 at 1:03 PM, a resident on the 7600 block of NW McDonald Circle in Corvallis reported by phone that she was the victim of fraud. She is an employee of the Corvallis School District and had her identity used to file an unemployment benefits claim (the claim was denied by her employer). Some of her coworkers had also been the victims of the same fraudulent activity after recently signing up with a new health insurance provider
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On September 3, 2021 at about 5:30 A.M., deputies responded to the area of Bullevard Drive near West Hills Road for a suspicious male. They contacted the male, who stated he got ditched there by a female. Deputies gave him a courtesy transport to a motel in Corvallis where he was staying.
DUII; INTERFERE W/ PEACE OFFICER; PUBLIC INDECENCY MISD EXPOSURE; RESISTING ARREST - On September 2, 2021, at 8:30 AM, deputies contacted Tyler Miers, 40, of Lincoln, NB, at Bellfountain Park in Monroe. Miers was previously reported as an impaired driver on Alpine Road. When deputies contacted Miers, he was masturbating in the front seat of his pickup. There were people walking around on the other side of the park at the time. Miers admitted he was driving on Alpine Road when his vehicle was called in. Deputies conducted an investigation and determined Miers was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Miers was taken into custody after he attempted to flee on foot and resist arrest. Miers’ blood and urine were collected with a search warrant. Miers was lodged at the Benton County Jail on the listed charges.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On 09/02/21, ADAMS, David, 44, of Junction City, turned himself in at the Benton Co Jail on a Benton Co Circuit Warrant for FTA-DCS Meth. They confirmed the warrant through records and served the warrant on Adams
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Thursday, September 2, 2021 at about 11:00 am, deputies were driving west on Highway 20 near mile post 38. They contacted the driver of a vehicle who had hit a deer in the roadway. The owner already had help coming to assist with the vehicle. The deer was deceased.
DWS MIS - On Wednesday September 1, 2021 at about 7:30 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on 8th St. at VanBuren Ave. after they recognized the driver to be STEVE MARKS, 51, who they know to be Suspended Misdemeanor. They issued MARKS a citation for Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor) and he was cited and released in the field.
PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT; WARRANT ARREST - On September 1, 2021, at about 11:40 a.m., deputies stopped TYLER DELLINGER, 26, of Coos Bay, on SW Jefferson Avenue near SW 3rd Street in Corvallis for driving without a front license plate and an expired registration sticker on his rear license plate on a red Honda Civic. They arrested DELLINGER for a felony Parole Violation Warrant and Reedsport Municipal Court warrant. Deputies transported DELLINGER to the Linn County Jail where he was booked and lodged on the PV warrant. They cited and released DELLINGER for the misdemeanor warrant and issued him a citation for DWS Violation and Driving Uninsured. DELLINGER`s vehicle was towed.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 1; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On August 31, 2021, around 9:45 PM, deputies were was dispatched to the 4700 block of Highway 20, Albany, for a reported suspicious vehicle. The caller reported a vehicle unknown to her had parked a dark colored sedan in her driveway, and left on foot. Robert Dantly McDaniel, 35, was located walking along the railroad tracks near Rondo Street, and was arrested for his nine warrants, and was charged with Trespass 1 and Trespass 2.
THEFT 1 DECEPTION; IDENTITY THEFT - On August 31, 2021, at around 11:30 am, deputies were dispatched to the 7500 block of NW Hoodview Circle for a reported fraud. A male reported he had sent a $2000 check to an unknown person in California after the unknown person overpaid for reserving time slots for clarinet lessons for their Oregon-bound "son". The transaction had been arranged entirely through email, and his check had already been cashed by the time his bank notified him that the original check he received was fraudulent. There are no current suspects.
WARRANT ARREST - On Tuesday August 31, 2021 at about 1:10 AM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Highland Drive near Walnut Blvd for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised both the driver and the passenger had outstanding Warrants. GABRIELLE KAIT BERNHARDT, 25, and SHAWN MICHAEL BURLSON, 28, were arrested on multiple warrants and cited and released in the field.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Monday, August 30, 2021 at 12:29 PM, Driver 1 was northbound on Highway 223 just south of Mahogany Lane in a silver GMC Sierra pickup. They reportedly dropped a drink he was carrying and drifted off the east side of the roadway while going approximately 50 MPH. The pickup went down an embankment without rolling, sustaining damage to the suspension and windows, as well as scratches to the passenger side. The driver was uninjured and called a tow company to remove the vehicle from the ditch
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 4:14 PM, deputies contacted a white Ford Ranger pickup on Highway 34 near Marys Peak Road. They later identified the driver, KASHLEY SCOTT, 36, and passenger, JENNA SMITH, 37, as both having confirmed, outstanding misdemeanor warrants for their arrest. Deputies stopped SCOTT and SMITH near Decker Road, citing and releasing them on their respective warrants. SCOTT was also cited for Driving While Suspended (Violation) and Driving Uninsured.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 31, 2021 at about 7:40 PM, deputies were on duty, in uniform, and driving a marked patrol vehicle when they observed what appeared to be a disabled vehicle stuck in the lane of travel at Lakeside Drive and Highway 99W. Deputies stopped and spoke with William McMurray, 22, of Sweet Home. He stated that he had just got the vehicle going again and provided deputies with identification, which deputies promptly returned. As he drove away, dispatch advised that McMurray had a warrant for his arrest. Deputies stopped the vehicle again and arrested McMurray. Deputies issued him a citation for the following warrant: Linn County Circuit Court, PV Harassment.
WARRANT ARREST - ON 8/29/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 11:51 AM, DEPUTIES WERE ADVISED THAT AN ADULT IN CUSTODY HAD GIVEN A FALSE NAME AT ARREST. AFTER FINGERPRINTING THE SUBJECT, HIS FINGERPRINTS CAME BACK TO VILLA-MUNOZ, FELIPE, 27 OF LAKEWOOD, CO. VILLA- MUNOZ FINGERPRINT COMBINATION CAME BACK WITH A WARRANT OUT OF ANOTHER STATE, NO BAIL. DEPUTIES CONFIRMED THE WARRANT AND SERVED IT ON VILLA-MUNOZ, WHO WAS LOCATED AT THE BENTON COUNTY JAIL 190 NW 4TH ST, IN CORVALLIS.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On August 25, 2021 at about 1:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to Irish Bend Park for a suspicious subject. Farm workers at that location reported seeing a male in a Camouflage SUV watching farmer workers as they worked in the morning and was camping outside the gates of Irish Bend Park. Deputies contacted Marcos Cervantes near the vehicle and he stated he had been there since the previous day, but had not followed anyone. Cervantes indicated he was leaving. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 VANDALISM - On Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 2:07 PM, deputies were dispatched to 2000 block of NE Highway 20 for suspicious activity. The caller, who leases land at that location for his livestock, discovered someone had shot an arrow through an aluminum farm gate. He did not want any enforcement action taken and was just concerned for the safety of his livestock.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 8/23/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 1810 LEBER, KYLE LOGAN FRANK, 24, TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH STREET IN CORVALLIS BECAUSE HE THOUGHT HE HAD A WARRANT. DEPUTIES RAN LEBER AND IT SHOWED THAT HE HAD A WARRANT OUT OF CORVALLIS MUNI FOR FTA VIOLENT CONDUCT. DEPUTIES CONFIRMED THE WARRANT AND LEBER WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
THEFT 2 DECEPTION - On Thursday, August 19, 2021 at about 7:25 AM, I was dispatched to a theft at 29470 Highway 99W near Corvallis. I called and spoke to Jeremiah Waters who stated he was scammed out of money. Water`s had sent $688.00 dollars by Walmart gift cards to a fake law enforcement officer. No other money was taken and through the investigation, the user of the phone number appeared to be out of South Africa.
DIS MIS - On Wednesday September 1, 2021 at about 7:30 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on 8th St at Van Buren Ave after they recognized the driver to be STEVE MARKS, 51, who they knew to be Suspended Misdemeanor. Deputies issued MARKS a citation for Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor) and he was cited and released in the field.
THEFT 2; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On August 30, 2021, at around 2:26 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 25500 block of Springhill Drive for a reported theft. A resident reported her son`s electric dirt-bike was stolen out of their front yard. She believes the theft occurred on August 29, between 1:00pm and 3:30pm. The black-and-red Burromax TTR350R is valued is $600. No current suspects, although a neighbor reported seeing a strange white 4-door Dodge pickup truck being driven by a white male with blonde hair and a blonde beard.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday August 29, 2021 at about 10:50 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on Philomath Blvd near Technology Loop for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised the driver and the passenger had outstanding warrants. ANGELA ALICE PHILIP, 24, and TAYLOR ALAN MISKIE, 29, both were cited and released in the field on their warrants.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On 8/29/2021 at around 4:40 PM, deputies received a phone call from a resident stating someone was parked in her driveway in the 3400 block of NW Springhill Drive and would not leave when told to. Deputies spoke with the driver by phone and she stated she had an urgent call she needed to take. Deputies explained to her she was on private property and when the landowner asked her to leave, she needed to leave. The resident wanted the driver warned about Criminal Trespassing laws.
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE; FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 VANDALISM - On August 28, 2021, around 10:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to 2600 Sulphur Springs Road, at the Lewisburg Saddle, for a reported car break in. When they arrived there were multiple vehicles that had been broken into. The second vehicle was a Hyundai Elantra. Thirty dollars in cash and a debit card was taken, with $400 worth of damages done to the driver’s side door lock. A purchase was attempted with the debit card at Wal-Mart.
THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE; CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 VANDALISM - On August 28, 2021, around 10:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to 2600 Sulphur Springs Road, at the Lewisburg Saddle, for a reported car break in. When they arrived there were multiple vehicles that had been broken into. The first vehicle was a silver Honda Accord. The owner said nothing was taken from her vehicle, but estimated $400 worth of damages to her driver’s side door lock.
VIOL RESTRAINING ORDER - On Saturday, August 28, 2021, at about 3:07 pm, deputies were dispatched to an overdose in the 4200 block of NE Highway 20, Corvallis. Christopher Miller, 36, had an apparent overdose from injecting meth and heroin. Miller gained consciousness on scene and was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. Once Miller was released from the hospital, deputies arrested Miller for Violating a Restraining Order, by being at the protected person’s residence and in their presence at the time he overdosed. Miller was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT - On 08/28/2021 at approximately 12:25 am, deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of south 19th Street in Philomath for a prowler complaint. Upon arrival, deputies checked the area on foot, but were unable to locate anyone in the area.
UNLAW ENTRY MOTOR VEHICLE; UNLAW POSS OF FIREARM; CRIMINAL TRESPASS W/ FIREARM - FEL POSS; KIDNAPPING 2; CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2; RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE; DWS FEL - On August 26, 2021, at around 11:13 am, deputies were dispatched to the 25800 block of Bellfountain Road for a report of suspicious vehicles. Deputies located one of the vehicles, a red 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt, on Highway 99W, near Milepost 95. The Chevrolet eluded them at a high rate of speed, and later crashed in Junction City. The driver, Derrick Freeman, 25, of Lebanon, was transported by ambulance to Sacred Heart Hospital and issued criminal citations for Driving While Suspended-Felony, Reckless Driving, Eluding, Trespass with a Firearm, Theft 3, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. A passenger, Johnathon Scott, 22, of Veneta, was issued criminal citations for Unlawful Entry to a Motor Vehicle, Criminal Trespass 2, and Theft 3. The Chevrolet was impounded pending a search warrant. The other suspicious vehicle was later located by other deputies.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 27, 2021 at around 10:05 pm, deputies stopped a white van in the 2100 block of Main Street, Philomath. The driver, Paul Aaron Masiko Bonnen, 32, had four cite and release warrants out of Benton County Circuit Court. Paul was issued citations in lieu of custody on his warrants and additionally issued a traffic citation for driving while suspended violation.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 27, 2021 at around 5:42 PM, deputies made a traffic stop on a silver 2000 Honda Accord at Applegate Street and 16th Street after they recognized Shawn Newport, 53, in the passenger seat. Newport had two warrants for his arrest. Newport was cited and released on his warrants.
THEFT 1 AGGRAVATED; IDENTITY THEFT - On Friday, August 27, 2021 at 1:07 PM, a resident of the 2000 block of Calderwood Drive in Philomath reported by phone that he was the victim of identity theft. Someone had filed a claim with the Oregon Unemployment Department on August 15 using his name and social security number in the amount of $19,058. His employer denied the claim and the suspect(s) did not obtain any money. The man was unsure of how his identity could have been compromised.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 27, 2021, at 12:32 AM, an officer from the Toledo Police Department said he stopped a 2008 Silver Kia Spectra with Idaho license plate in Toledo for no license plate light. The officer said he later identified the uncooperative passenger, Vincente Dante, 23. Dante had a confirmed State Wide Felony Warrant out of the Oregon State Parole Board for Probation Violation/ Burglary. Deputies located the Kia and stopped it on Highway 20 near milepost 47 in Philomath. Dante was taken into custody and transported to the Benton County Jail on the warrant.
ELUDE - On Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at about 9:30 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle on the Alsea Access Road near milepost #9 for a traffic violation. The driver, MARTIN EUGENE BLEKA, 57, fled approximately 300 feet and stopped and was arrested for Attempting to Elude. BLEKA was cited and released in the field.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 24, 2021 at about 10:00 AM, deputies responded to the 1000 block of SW Washington St. to assist with an eviction of the tenets at this address. Chaylan Tosta, 39, the sole occupant, was arrested on several warrants and released on citation.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 26, 2021 at around 12:33 AM, deputies contacted a male riding a bike northbound on 3rd Street near Alexander Ave who was identified as Hilario Leal-Hernandez, 51. Hernandez had a cite and release warrant out of Albany. Hernandez was issued a citation for his warrant.
ELUDE VEHICLE - On August 24, 2021 at around 10:53 PM, deputies attempted to stop a dark-colored pickup near NW Springhill Road and NW Buena Vista Road for speeding. The vehicle accelerated to speeds over 100 MPH and attempted to elude deputies. Deputies did not have probable cause to justify pursuing the vehicle and terminated their attempts to stop the vehicle per BCSO Policy 208.
THEFT 2 FROM VEHICLE - On Monday, August 23, 2021, at about 10:43 am, deputies were dispatched to a theft in the 4900 block of NW Hwy 99W, Corvallis. A man reported a catalytic converter was cut and stolen from a Ford bus, sometime between 7:30pm on August 20, 2021 and 8:00am on August 21, 2021. Sawsall blades were left at the scene. Total value of stolen part is $600.00. No suspect identified at this time.
DUII - On August 22, 2021, at 1:23 AM, deputies stopped Carly Schultz, 22, on 4th Street near Western Boulevard in Corvallis after she was called in by a citizen as an impaired driver. They later arrested Schultz for DUII after determining she was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely.
PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT - On August 20, 2021, around 12:30 AM, deputies were on patrol driving through Takena Landing Park when they observed a male on the northeast part of the park, walking a bike towards the roadway near the bridge pillars. The male, later identified as James Andrew Jackman, 37, had a warrant out of Linn County for violating his parole. When deputies told Jackman he was under arrest he fled on his bike and was arrested on August 22, 2021 and transported to the Linn County Jail for Escape 3, Interfering with a Peace Officer, and Trespass 2.
THEFT 3 - On Monday, August 23, 2021 at about 6:30 PM, deputies responded to the Alsea Mercantile for a report of a Theft of ice. Deputies located and arrested RANDY JOSEPH MENDEZ, 40, for Theft III. MENDEZ was cited and released in the field.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 18, 2021, deputies spoke with Dusty Risland, 33, near Walnut Boulevard and Witham Hill. They cited and released Dusty for two warrants, one Benton County Circuit Court and one Albany Municipal Court.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS 2 - On August 10, 2021 at 10:13 pm, deputies were dispatched to a farm field northwest of Rondo Street of NW Highway 20. A resident called the Sheriff`s Office and said there was a black-colored sedan parked on a dirt road to the farms. Deputies contacted a male in the car who said he was looking for a place to sleep for the night. He was warned he was on private property and not to return.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, July 11, 2021, at about 7:46 am, deputies went out with a vehicle on Highway 99W near Llewellyn Road. They made contact with Jay Marsh, 56, of Lebanon, who was gathering pears from a tree on private property. Marsh had a confirmed warrant from Sweet Home Municipal Court for Contempt of Court. Deputies cited and released Marsh per warrant instructions.
DISTURBANCE VERBAL ONLY - On August 25, 2021 at about 12:19 am, deputies were dispatched to a verbal argument called in by a neighbor in the 200 block of NW 53rd. The residents had gotten into a verbal argument. Neither party wanted to leave for the evening and decided to sleep in separate rooms for the night.
TOW, HAZARD - On August 24, 2021 at around 5:32 pm, deputies responded to Tampico Road near the Polk County line for a 5th Wheel trailer which appeared to be abandoned on the shoulder of the roadway causing a traffic hazard. A tow company responded and removed the vehicle.
BURGLARY 1 - On August 24, 2021, a resident reported a burglary of his residence in the 25300 block of Green Peak Road, Monroe. There was a broken lock on one door and two check books stolen. No known suspects at time of call.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 2:27 PM, deputies stopped ERIN MCCLUNG, 29, as she was riding a bicycle northbound on 9th Street near Buchanan Avenue in Corvallis after Dispatch informed she had multiple outstanding misdemeanor warrants for her arrest. MCCLUNG was issued criminal citations with court dates in lieu of custody for her warrants.
WARRANT ARREST - On Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 1:31 PM, deputies arrested WEST TRONTVET, 31, on a confirmed felony warrant in the parking lot in the 700 block of NW Kings Boulevard in Corvallis. TRONTVET was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged on his warrant.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at approximately 8:40 A.M., a 2017 Toyota Corolla was west on Highway 34 near Milepost 50. For unknown or unstated reasons the driver struck the embankment on the north side of the road with the rear driver side. This caused the driver to lose control, spinning his vehicle and causing the front end to hit the embankment. The driver was uninjured and his vehicle was towed. Deputies cited the driver for Careless Driving.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On August 23, 2021 at about 1:50 PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a man over the phone regarding a traffic complaint at Independence Highway and Camp Adair Rd. He stated he was traveling north on Independence Highway when a semi approached from the west and turned north from Camp Adair onto Independence Highway. He stated that this cut him off as he rode his bicycle. He stated the truck pulled over, cited some expletives, and continued. He had only a trailer plate, which returned to a rental company.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Monday, August 23, 2021 at approximately 1:00 P.M., deputies were dispatched to the 6700 block of Northwest Metge Avenue for a suspicious person. Deputies were told a female had come through the closed gate and not leaving. Deputies arrived and spoke with a female who told deputies she delivered Christmas lights and now her truck would not start. She called for roadside assistance.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Monday, August 23, 2021 at approximately 11:10 A.M., deputies were dispatched to speak with a resident regarding a fraud complaint. She told deputies she was alerted by her employer that her identity had been used to file for unemployment with the State of Oregon. She had already flagged her credit and had documented this through the identitytheft.gov website. She told deputies she did not have any information of where the funds were supposed to be sent or much else.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On August 23, 2021 at about 10:40 AM, deputies responded to the area of Airport Rd. at milepost 4 for an injury traffic crash. The driver stated he was eastbound on Airport Rd, near milepost 4, when he hit his brakes, but then then went off the road for an unknown reason. The crash started a grass fire, which deputies put out with a fire extinguisher.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On August 23, 2021 at about 5:45 am, deputies were dispatched to the 400 block of N 7th St, Philomath, for a report of a suspicious white truck in the driveway of an abandoned residence. Deputies located a white F150 about a block away and the engine was warm. The owner of the residence provided video from 8/8/21 showing the same truck backing into her driveway. She reported nothing was missing but requested extra patrol of the residence.
POSS STOLEN VEHICLE - On August 23, 2021 at about 12:38 am, deputies ran a license plate displayed on the back of a red 2dr Honda Civic parked at the Chevron gas station in North Albany. The vehicle and license plate returned stolen. Deputies arrested Joseph Rocky Rodriguez, 37, for possession of a stolen vehicle and transported him to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On 8/22/2021 at around 10:10 PM, Vehicle #1 was traveling northbound on Highway 99W approaching Camp Adair Road. A deer ran into the right front fender of the vehicle and went up and over the hood cause damage to the hood, windshield and driver’s door. Vehicle #1 pulled onto Camp Adair Road and called the Sheriff`s Office due to the damage to her vehicle. Bob’s towing arrived around 11:30 PM and towed the vehicle due to the damage. Deputies were unable to locate a carcass of an animal on the roadway.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at approximately 10:55 A.M., deputies spoke with a man who was attempting to file a complaint against Benton County Government and the State of Oregon. He was very angry about mask requirements and believed this was a violation of his rights based on Title 18 USC Section 42, Deprivation of Rights under color of law. Deputies told him they were unable to enforce federal law, which was the same answer he had been given by the Oregon State Police. He was very unhappy with this answer and eventually hung up.
WARRANT ARREST - On Sunday, August 22, 2021, at about 9:55 PM, deputies stopped a vehicle at 5th and Commercial in Monroe for a traffic violation. Dispatch advised that the passenger, SHARI LOU TREADWAY, 42, of Junction City, had an outstanding Warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for P.C.S. II (METHAMPHETAMINE). TREADWAY was cited and released in the field.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE ASSAULT - On Saturday, August 21, 2021, at around 3:06 pm, deputies were dispatched to a disturbance in the 24600 block of Stovall Lane, Philomath. Kyle Linn, 38, was issued a citation in lieu of custody for harassment.
DUII - On August 21, 2021, at 2:11 AM, deputies stopped Felix Pimentel-Rosas, 26, of Newport, on Highway 34 near Texas Street in Linn County for Failure to Drive within Lane. They later arrested Felix for DUII, after determining he was impaired and unable to operate a vehicle safely.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 20, 2021, at 10:47 PM, deputies observed a vehicle parked at after hours at Takena Landing Park in Albany. They contacted Howard Mehaffey, 44, who had three warrants for his arrest, including a statewide felony parole board warrant. Howard Mehaffey was taken into custody and transported to the Linn County Jail. Sean Tallman, 25, of Rainier, had two confirmed statewide felony parole board warrants for his arrest. Tallman was taken into custody and transported to the Lane County Jail.
FAIL RETURN SUSP DL - On Friday, August 20, 2021, at about 8:15 pm, deputies stopped a silver Nissan Maxima for failure to maintain its lane. The driver was cited for operating without driving privileges. They later arrested the passenger, Sarah Elizabeth Rue, 22, of Salem, for failure to return a suspended license. Rue was issued a criminal citation and released.
HARASSMENT PHYSICAL CONTACT/SIMPLE ASSAULT - On Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 2:49 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 33100 block of Ada Drive in Philomath for a disturbance. JOSHUA GONZALES, 42, of Monmouth, was in an altercation with a male. He admitted to shoving him, grabbing him by the wrists, and pinning him down on his bed. GONZALES was cited for Harassment.
THEFT 2 LOST/MISLAID PROPERTY - On August 18, 2021 at about 11:00 AM, deputies responded to the Benton County Court house located at 120 NW 4th Street for a theft complaint. Heather Sauter, 36, stole Marcus Dodson’s phone as he made a court appearance. The phone was valued at $150 and Sauter was issued a citation for theft II.
IDENTITY THEFT - On 8/15/2021 at around 5:15 PM, deputies arrived in the 2000 block of NW Fawnee Dr. to speak with a resident about a suspicious circumstance involving her identity. She got a letter from the state employment office dated 8/10/2021 stating she had submitted paperwork for unemployment funds. She did not submit any paperwork to the state employment office. A couple days later, she received 2 checks from the state employment office with her name on it sent to her home address totaling over $1000.00. She planned to contact the state employment office and talk to someone about the checks and fraud involving her.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - On August 21, 2021 at approximately 3:51 pm, ELBINGER, Luke, 29, turned himself into the jail on a warrant for FTA Criminal Tamper injury PR. A new court date and time was given to appear in the Corvallis Muni Court.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 20, 2021, around 5:00 PM, deputies went to 7890 Skillings Drive, Corvallis, to look for Lawrence John Lemaster Sr., 61, to arrest him for a warrant for: Sodomy 1 X2, Sex Abuse 1 X16, and Unlawful Sexual Penetration 2 X2. Benton County Circuit Court, Bail: $50,000. Lemaster was lodged at the Benton County Jail.
THEFT 3 - On Friday, August 20, 2021 at 8:49 AM, a resident in the 900 block of NW Highland Terrace Avenue in Corvallis reported her Republic Services yard waste bin had been stolen from where she set it out on the street sometime between Monday, August 9 and Thursday, August 12. Deputies provided her with a case number so Republic Services could replace the bin.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, August 20, 2021, at about 9:02 am, deputies were dispatched to a traffic complaint located near Kings Valley Highway and Priest Road, Philomath. A 2004 Acura TL had a flat tire and was completely off the roadway on Kings Valley Highway. Deputies made contact with Dezmeree Acosta, 35, of Dallas, who had a confirmed warrant from Philomath Municipal Court. Acosta was cited and released on scene. A tire company assisted with changing the flat tire.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 20, 2021 at around 3:17 AM, deputies contacted a male at Takena Landing located at 600 HWY 20, Albany. The male was identified as Jonathan Wood, 48, who had an active Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failing to appear on a criminal trespass in the second degree. Wood was transported to the Linn County Jail, where he was issued a citation for Possession of less than 2 grams of methamphetamine and booked on his warrant.
FRAUDULENT USE CREDIT CARD - On August 19, 2021 at around 6:14, deputies were dispatched to the 33600 block of Springer Rd for a fraud. The resident reported someone had hacked her husband`s cousins social media account. She told me deputies did not authorize any money transfers and determined later her husband`s Cousin`s account had been hacked on August 16, 2021. She notified her bank and canceled all of her cards. The social media account thread has since been deactivated and is no longer accessible.
FAIL CARRY/PRESENT OP LICENSE; WARRANT ARREST - On August 19, 2021 at around 5:00 pm, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a 2006 silver Chrysler 300 which continued on Philomath Blvd and pulled into the Pioneer Park parking lot located at 1300 SW Philomath Blvd. Deputies contacted the driver, later identified as Brandon Glassman, 19. Glassman did not have any identification and was placed in custody for ORS.807.570 Failure to carry or present a license. Deputies determined Glassman`s identity and discovered he also had a warrant out of Albany Municipal Court for Fail to perform the duties of a driver. Dispatch also advised his license was suspended violation for driving uninsured. Deputies asked Glassman if he had insurance on his vehicle and he told them he did not. Glassman was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody for his warrant and also for failure to carry or present a license. Glassman was additionally issued traffic citations for ORS.811.175 Driving while suspended, ORS.806.010 Driving uninsured, and ORS.803.550 Illegal alteration or display of plates.
WARRANT ARREST - On Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 4:39 PM, deputies stopped a black Hyundai SUV for a traffic violation on West Hills Road near Lookout Drive. One of the passengers, ASHLEY COATS, 35, quickly left the traffic stop on a skateboard, but was stopped and arrested nearby after deputies learned she had multiple outstanding misdemeanor warrants for her arrest. COATS was cited and released on her warrants at the request of the Benton County Jail.
DWS MIS - On Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 3:49 PM, deputies stopped a teal Toyota coupe on Fern Road near Chapel Drive for a traffic violation. They arrested the driver, RICHARD SATHER, 31, for Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor) for which he was cited and released. SATHER was also cited for Driving Uninsured.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 19, 2021, deputies responded to the 7200 block of NW Fawn Ridge Dr., Albany, for a welfare check. A resident was transported by Albany EMT`s to Corvallis GSH. Deputies also cited Christopher Meahan, 39, on an Albany Municipal court warrant at the residence.
WARRANT ARREST - On August 18, 2021 at about 1:26 A.M., deputies contacted two people in a suspicious car on the side of Springhill Drive near Buena Vista Road. The vehicle, a silver Mazda 6 with a temporary permit, was called in by a property owner and deputies determined the two males were just talking. Car owner COLBY DEAN MONTIGUE, 21, of Sweet Home, had a confirmed misdemeanor warrant out of Linn County for FTA Harassment and was cited in lieu of custody.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 8/18/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 3:25 PM, DEPUTIES RAN TYLER, ZACHARY, 42, AND LEARNED HE HAD A WARRANT OUT OF APD FOR RESISTING, CITE AND RELEASE. TYLER WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE.
IDENTITY THEFT - On August 18, 2021, a Corvallis resident reported several credit card applications were taken out in her name. It is unknown if any new accounts have actually been opened.
DUII - On August 14, 2021 at around 2:54 am, BCSO Deputies made a traffic stop on a white Honda accord. Deputies conducted a DUII investigation and determined the driver, Thomas JONES, 51, of Twin Falls, ID, was under the influence of intoxicants and was subsequently arrested for DUII. JONES was processed for DUII at the Law Enforcement Center and later issued a citation in lieu of custody.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On Friday, August 13, 2021 at 2:43 PM, a resident in the 9500 block of NW Cardwell Hill Drive reported there were assorted items of a suspicious nature left at the end of his driveway near the trash receptacle in the Fitton Green trailhead parking lot sometime between 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM. The items included an old gray fuzzy blanket, an empty cardboard Rolex watch box, an empty brown paper grocery sack, and a handheld upholstery cleaning device. The items did not appear to be of any significant value and there were no identifying marks or ownership information.
UNPROVOKED ATTACK – On August 16, 2021, deputies issued a citation to two separate dog owners living in the 26800 block of Cecil Lane in Alsea. The citation was for their dogs running at large and attacking the neighbor’s dog, causing injury.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 3:30 PM, a driver was traveling southbound on NW Highland Drive near NW James Avenue in her Toyota Prius when she fell asleep and her vehicle left the roadway. Her car crossed a ditch without rolling and came to rest in a field, sustaining significant damage to the undercarriage and suspension. She suffered minor cuts and scrapes and was evaluated at the scene by medics. Her vehicle was towed due to damage.
FAIL TO APPEAR BENCH WARRANT - ON 8/11/21 AT APPROXIMATELY 9:25 PM, FELIP, ANGELA, 24, TURNED HERSELF INTO THE BCCF LOBBY LOCATED AT 190 NW 4TH ST IN CORVALLIS ON A WARRANT FOR FTA THEFT 2, OUT OF APD. THE WARRANT WAS CONFIRMED AND FELIP WAS RELEASED WITH A COURT DATE AND TIME.
COMPUTER CRIME - On Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at about 8:30 AM, deputies were dispatched to a fraud complaint in the 8900 block of NW Lorri Place, near Corvallis. A resident stated her email account had been hacked into. She stated she did not have any money taken or other fraudulent activity.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE - On Thursday, August 12, 2021, at approximately 3:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to contact a man regarding the theft of a catalytic converter from his motorhome which is stored at a facility in the 5200 block of NE Elliott Circle, Corvallis. No suspect(s) at this time.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday, August 16, 2021, at approximately 6:57 PM, deputies stopped a driver for a moving violation in the area of 3rd Street and Avery Avenue. The passenger in the vehicle, JUAN ENRIQUE RODRIGUEZ III, 26, had an active, confirmed warrant for his arrest out of Lebanon Municipal Court. Deputies arrested JUAN and later released him with a criminal citation. The driver was issued a traffic citation for multiple violations.
IDENTITY THEFT - On Monday, August 16, 2021, deputies were dispatched to contact a resident concerning identity theft. He told deputies he received a letter from Source RN from North Carolina. He said Source RN was attempting to collect $1,357.25 in unpaid fees for a Sprint account. He said he has never had a Sprint account and contacted them. He discovered someone used his information to open a Sprint account. Sprint was working with him to resolve the matter and needed a case number which deputies provided him. There are no suspects in this case.
WARRANT ARREST - On Monday August 16, 2021 at about 2:50 AM, deputies stopped a car for a traffic violation on 2nd St, near Harrison Blvd. Dispatch advised the driver, TRISTIN JOSEPH BRINKLEY, 23, had an outstanding Warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for F.T.A.- THEFT II. BRINKLEY was issued a citation in the field and cited and released.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On August 15, 2021 at about 9:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to the area of HWY 99W and Elliott Cir for a report of gunshots heard. A second caller reported hearing a verbal argument in the 5800 block of NW HWY 99W. Deputies contacted a male and two others at this location. The male, an overnight watchman, did not hear any gunshots/argument but did see a vehicle pull into the parking lot and leave earlier. Deputies did not see any spent casings or evidence of a firearm during their contact with the watchman.
THEFT 1 FROM VEHICLE - On Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at about 9:40 AM, deputies took a theft report from a resident by phone. She said last week on Tuesday August 10, she, her husband and friends were working on remodeling the inside of the Willamette Community and Grange Hall (aka, Greenberry Grange Hall). She said she took photos of their work using her Apple iPad Pro and she thinks she put the iPad Pro back in her car. Shen believes an unknown person entered her 2004 Volkswagen Golf and stole the iPad. She said she left her car unlocked and with the windows down. There are no investigative leads at this time.
HARASSMENT - On 8/16/2021 at around 5:20 PM, deputies arrived at the Benton County Jail to take a report of a disturbance that happened earlier that day. They spoke with an adult in custody in an interview room. He told deputies he was pushed and hit by another adult in custody earlier that day because the jail`s food gives him gas and he did not like the smell. Deputies asked the victim if he was hurt; he said he was not. Deputies asked him if he wanted to press charges against the other man. He said he did not; he wanted it documented. Deputies then attempted to speak with the suspect and he told deputies he wanted an attorney. Deputies did not ask the suspect any questions.
WARRANT ARREST - On Friday, August 13, 2021 at 8:24 AM, deputies went to the 400 block of NW 2nd Street in Corvallis where they arrested KYLER WILSON, 26, for numerous outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants. WILSON was transported to the Benton County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
RECKLESS DRIVING; ELUDE VEHICLE - On Monday August 9, 2021 at about 11:55 PM, deputies attempted to stop a motorcycle for traveling at excessive speeds east on Van Buren Ave and then west on Harrison Blvd. The motorcycle was traveling west on Harrison Blvd at 98 MPH so they did not pursue it. Attempts to locate the motorcycle later were unsuccessful and there is no suspect information at this time.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE - On 7/17/2021 at around 6:00 PM, deputies arrived near the old bridge area on Pit Road to a motorcycle that had been left there. The motorcycle appeared to have been dumped there due to the condition of it. Deputies called the registered owner of the cycle and he said he sold it several years ago and does not know who owns it now. Deputies had it tagged for removal.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2 - On June 18, 2021, deputies responded to a report of an argument at the Salmonberry Campground. They arrived and contacted the parties involved and told them to separate for the night or they would be removed from the campground and charged with Disorderly Conduct II.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Sunday, August 15, 2021 at approximately 2:15 P.M., Driver 1 was driving his Mazda CX9 eastbound on Highway 20 near Highway 34. Driver 2 was stopped at the stop sign on Highway 34 waiting to turn west onto Highway 20 in her Toyota Tundra. Driver 2 pulled out too soon and struck the passenger side of Driver 2’s vehicle in the rear passenger door. There were no injuries.
SEX ABUSE 3 PHYSICAL MOLEST - On August 15, 2021 at about 1:00 PM, deputies responded to the E.E. Wilson fishing area located at 29555 Camp Adair Rd near milepost 1. A male stated that he was sexually assaulted by an unknown Hispanic male during a jog. Case discontinued due to a lack of leads.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 VANDALISM - On Sunday August 15, 2021, at about 12:19 pm, deputies were dispatched to the Benton County Courthouse located at 120 NW 4th Street, Corvallis, Oregon, regarding a criminal mischief of cutting shrubs. A male was trimming the bushes because he thought they needed it, and he needed a job. He was wearing a pink bicycle helmet with a half broken glasses frame tied to the helmet where it hung down in front of his left eye, two different shoes, wearing them on the wrong feet, and wearing only one sock. He was given a verbal warning and asked to the leave the Courthouse grounds.
PROPERTY, FOUND - On Saturday, August 14, 2021, at about 3:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to found property on West Hills Road and Rosecrest Drive, Philomath. Deputies made contact with a woman who found a bb handgun in the middle of West Hills Road. Deputies checked the serial number through dispatch, and the bb gun was not linked to a person or incident. Deputies collected the bb gun, cleared it, secured it, made sure the barrel was clear, and submitted it to evidence as found property.
THEFT 2 - On August 14, 2021 around 3:15PM, deputies were dispatched to speak with a man by phone for a theft that had occurred at the archery range near the EE Wilson wildlife area. He described the target as an Olympic target, 52 inches in diameter and 7 inches thick made of black foam. The stand the target sat on was described as a wooden folding stand with two wheels. He valued the stand at $75 and the target to be $500. There is no suspect information at this time.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Sunday, August 14, 2021, at about 8:10 am, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash regarding a car upside down in a ditch located near Kings Valley Hwy, and Hoskins Road, Philomath. The driver drove her 2004 Kia Optima around a corner too fast, got distracted by the sun, lost control of her vehicle, and drove off the road into a steep ditch, overturning her vehicle. A farmer nearby helped her exit her vehicle and drove her to her residence nearby. The vehicle was towed from the scene, and a family member took the driver to urgent care.
RECKLESS ENDANGERING - On August 13, 2021, at about 5:20 p.m., a male whom lives in the 4700 block NW Anthony Place called to report shots been fired in the direction of their neighborhood, and going through trees and branches behind his property and a couple neighbors’ property. They suspected it was coming from NW Oak Grove Drive just east of their houses. He wanted the person(s) shooting warned only. Deputies went to the 2100 block of NW Oak Grove Drive and spoke with a male who said he and some friends were shooting in their property, which they thought was a safe direction. He showed deputies the location and it was in the direction of NW Anthony Place. Deputies educated the male and he felt bad; he said he would shoot in a safer direction next time.
ACCIDENT VEHICLE NO INJ - On Friday, August 13, 2021, at about 2:12 pm, deputies were dispatched to assist the Fire Department with a car fire in the area of SW Plymouth Drive and SW 53rd Street, Corvallis. A 2022 International commercial truck backed into a 2004 Ford Taurus on SW Plymouth Drive. The damage caused by the collision started an engine fire that was successfully extinguished. Both parties had no apparent injuries and the Ford Taurus was towed.
