Youth COVID-19 vaccination events Jan. 9 - Jan. 14

Benton County is collaborating with the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Samaritan Health Services, and school districts in the County to host COVID-19 vaccination events in Philomath, Alsea, Corvallis, and Monroe the week of January 9. These events will be focused on providing first and second doses, and only a very limited number of boosters will be available.

The Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available at each event except for Cheldelin Middle School, which will only offer the Pfizer vaccine available. All individuals who receive a COVID-19 vaccine at the clinics listed below will also receive a nonperishable food box, while supplies last.

The schedule and details for the events are as follows:

Corvallis 

  • Location: Boys and Girls Club, 1112 NW Circle Blvd.
    • Sunday, January 9 and January 30, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    • Pediatric event for youth 5 to 17 years old and their families, no appointment needed.
       
  • Location: Cheldelin Middle School, 987 NE Conifer Blvd.
    • Friday, January 14 and February 4, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
    • Pediatric event for youth 5 to 17 years old and their families, no appointment needed.
    • Only the Pfizer vaccine (for 5 years or older) will be available at this event

Philomath

  • Location: Philomath High School, 2054 Applegate Street
    • Monday, January 10 and January 31, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
    • Pediatric event for youths 5 to 17 years old and their families, no appointment needed.

Alsea

  • Location: Alsea School, 301 South 3rd Street
    • Tuesday, January 11 and February 1, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
    • This event is open to anyone 5 years or older, no appointment is needed.

Monroe

  • Location: Monroe High School, 365 N 5th Street
    • Wednesday, January 12 and February 2, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
    • This event is open to anyone 5 years or older, no appointment is needed.

No identification or proof of address is needed and individuals do not have to live permanently in Oregon to get the vaccine. All clinics are wheelchair accessible and interpreters will be available. To request additional accommodations, call 541-766-6120.
