July 31 – August 3, 2019 Benton County Fair & Rodeo

“Tall Tales & Animal Tails” is the theme guiding the joyous celebration of the annual Benton County Fair & Rodeo, July 31 – August 3.  Beginning at 11 a. m. on Wednesday, July 31 and running until midnight on Saturday, August 3, this year’s County Fair has carnival rides, 4-H livestock, amazing performers, live music, and three nights of rodeo.

Rainier Amusements

Whirl & twirl the day away! The new carnival company will bring bigger and better rides than ever before. A full array of experiences awaits including gentle kiddie rides, tried and true family favorites and over-the-top twisters for older, more adventurous thrill seekers.

In addition to two nights of exciting NPRA sanctioned rodeo (August 1 & 2), the fair will be presenting the second annual Larry Bell Memorial All Girls Rodeo on opening day (July 31).

4-H Livestock

What’s a fair without 4-H? Cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits - they are all here and more! Visit the livestock sheds and talk to the 4-H participants about their animals.

Live Stingray Encounter

Back by popular demand! The Benton County Fair will once again be hosting a Live Stingray Encounter. Yes, you can touch them! Educators will be on hand to teach visitors all about these fascinating animals.

The Backyard (Kids Interactive Area)

Families can enjoy some old-fashioned backyard gaming – checkers, giant chess, badminton, and more. Let the little ones play with giant waffle blocks and toddler puzzles. Explore the sensory discovery tables and try out the “Kids Fit” obstacle course.

In the fair’s main building families will find a host of fun activities including shopping, robotics demonstrations, Puzzlemania (interactive brain teasers), and the gaming area with Xbox, Wii and foosball. Strike a pose with friends and family at Benton County’s photo op booth. The Funporium will also include the Storytelling Stage, with community members and local authors sharing their tall tales.

Oak Grove Stage

The Oak Grove Stage will return with Tom Swearingen Cowboy Poet, magician Twisty the Great, and Greg Frisbee comedy juggler. The Oak Grove Stage will also host the Willamette Valley Fiddle Contest, Benton County’s Talent Search and nightly live music.

Main Stage

The Main Stage will feature great live music by headliner performers each night:

  • Wednesday, July 31, 7:00 pm: Trevor Tagle
