Wildfire Evacuation Site Update

Beginning today, September 16, 2020, tent and RV check-in at the Benton County Fairgrounds for wildfire evacuees will be available from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., changing from a 24-hour availability.

The Benton County Fairgrounds evacuation site for wildfire evacuees will close operations on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. After operations close, services such as mental health support, supply pick-up and meal services will no longer be available on-site. Evacuees will be directed to other resources within the community so that they are not left without needed support.

Family Engagement for Wildfire Evacuees

Around The Riverbend Events will be hosting a princess and superhero show for wildfire evacuees in the Floral Courtyard of the Benton County Fairgrounds on Friday, September 18, at 12:00 p.m. This event is open for evacuees staying at the Fairgrounds as well as local hotels.

Benton County asks community members to continue to practice physical distancing and COVID-19 prevention protocols when visiting the fairgrounds.

The Benton County Public Information Officer, Alyssa Rash, will be on-site for social engagement and media requests.
