Due to public requests, the HOPE Advisory Board application period has been extended until midnight, October 6th, 2019, with review of applications beginning immediately in October

In separate actions by the Corvallis City Council and the Benton County Board of Commissioners, the HOPE Advisory Board Bylaws were approved, and the City Manager and County Administrator were directed to sign an Intergovernmental Agreement establishing the new HOPE Advisory Board. In addition to other roles and responsibilities, the HOPE Advisory Board will assume responsibility for the Benton County Ten-Year Plan to address issues surrounding housing and homelessness.

With this final approval complete, the HOPE Advisory Board Executive Committee can now officially convene, and will begin the process of reviewing applications from community members who want to participate as members of the Board. The first appointment by the County and City will be to add an additional member to the Executive Committee, representing the business community. The full Executive Committee will then appoint 16 positions to the full Advisory Board.
